So this day last year (September 25.) I posted my very first TMA fanart, celebrating Jmart day- after that, I may or may not draw them a few more times.

Well, I did start a comic series where Gertrude is still around, so they have a more normal time.

And maybe made a couple of safe house drawings.

And a Victorian AU version of them, which became a P&P-themed series of fanart.

And I maybe made a fanart for a really good fic by @milkteamoon where Jon is a vampire.

And maybe after that, I made another AU where Jon is a witch, and Martin is his knight, named The Magus Archives, loosely inspired by arthurameslove 's fic.

And I got commissioned by the lovely @cirrus-grey who then wrote a fic for them.

And maybe I made a couple other smaller AUs with them, who knows.

So glad that I spent the last year drawing these two for a very normal amount.

Let's hope next year will be similar :'D

one of my favourite things about tmagp so far, besides... well, all of it (<- shaking with excitement like some sort of sick dog, my GUYS are in there) is the theme of people being their own horror.

like, i noticed it before, but with the release of the third episode it's kind of solidified in my mind. i know there was something jonny or alex? said about tma vs tmagp, and how the first is what makes a monster, while this one is what makes a human, and i love that i'm already kind of seeing that

the artist that destroys themself trying to create themself, the mourner bringing themself to a place of death trying to find life, the canary going underground, the doctor whose own body dies to become lifegiving to others... well. i think there's something to be said for the choices people make

shootout to the fic i never got around to writing set in season 5 where they were trekking alone to hilltop road. Here after Martin spends some time yknow reading and stuff he finds that Annabelle got attacked (!?) by a hunt creature or something, and adamantly takes care of her u_u

the funny thing is that since it was all in martin's pov (and that it's annabelle we're talking about) there is always the question of whether the attack really happened or not, or rather, if it was completely unforeseen or she let herself get hurt to manipulate him in some way (and martin knows of that, he knows that pretty well)

(BUT ALSO theres the fact that for 8 years annabelle only had the p uncaring pull of the web to guide her so to have someone willingly take care of her for the first time in forever, well, it makes her feel some kind of way, alright)

and another thing on the tma / tmagp fear categories ‼️ although the most recent episode was almost definitively what someone would categorize as a Corruption statement... it does not have the same flavour fear as the tma Corruption fear. it's too clean. it is too fresh, and gentle. it is cool and clear where the Corruption of tma is warm and muggy... whether this means same fears with different flavours / nuances, different fears, or the lack of any actual categories of fear, we have yet to see. and i for one am soooooo hyped for it
