📝 #sinolosabias Un día como hoy, se funda el Parque Nacional Terepaima (1976). Está ubicado al sureste de Barquisimeto, en el extremo oriental de la Cordillera de los Andes, creado el 14 de abril de 1976. Tiene una superficie de 18.650 ha. Para llegar por vía terrestre se debe tomar la carretera de Barquisimeto -Acarigua, desde las poblaciones de Cabudare y Sarare, o por la vía a río Claro y río Amarillo. Su vegetación en las partes más altas es de selva nublada con presencia de árboles como el chaparro montañero, el salvio y la manzanita de montaña, así como varias especies de helechos. La vegetación incluye herbáceos y bosques semideciduos, así como bosques nublados en las partes altas. Los bosques nublados, por estar casi siempre cubiertos de niebla, son hogar de árboles siempreverdes, y la humedad allí presente facilita el crecimiento de orquídeas y helechos. En el parque se encuentran varias especies en peligro de extinción como el oso frontino y el jaguar. Los mamíferos que allí habitan son el cachicamo, la lapa, el rabipelao, el mono araguato, el mono capuchino, el mapurite, el venado, el oso melero, el puma y el báquiro. Por su parte, las aves que predominan son las tortolitas, guacharacas, paujíes, moriches blancos, cristofués, paraulatas llaneras y querrequerres, entre otras. El zorzal sabiá (Turdus leucomelas), también conocido como mirla buchiblanca (en Colombia), sabiá misionero (en Uruguay), zorzal de alas canelas (en Paraguay), zorzal de pecho pálido (en Perú), o paraulata montañera (en Venezuela),  es una especie de ave passeriformes perteneciente a la familia de los túrdidos (Turdidae), y que a su vez compone junto con otras múltiples especies el género Turdus.

El zorzal sabiá fue descrito por primera vez en 1818 por Louis Jean Pierre Vieillot en el vigésimo tomo de la obra Nouveau Dictionnaire d'Histoire Naturelle Appliquée Aux Arts, bajo el nombre científico de Turdus leucomelas. Desde entonces, el zorzal sabiá es una de las múltiples especies incluidas dentro del género Turdus, que a su vez pertenece a la familia de los túrdidos, que comprende a aves paseriformes distribuidas alrededor del mundo
