One of tbe brilliant things about mlp:fim is that the main cast aren't wayward children or highschool students they're just a bunch of young adults. Like. Twilight is a postgrad forced by her supervisor to go find friends. Apple Jack has responsibility of gaurdianship of her little sister. They're all employed. They pay rent and taxes. Fluttershy has to deal with her deadbeat underachiever older brother who can't seem to move out by himself when she visits her parents. She also has anxiety she hasnt grown out of since high school. Rainbow Dash spends most days getting high and goofing off on her minimum wage job. Pinkie Pie has a culinary apprenticeship and lives with an older couple after she left her small mining town when nobody there was as into psychadelics as her. Rarity balances running her slowly growing etsy fashion bussiness with going on tinder dates with the worst men you've ever seen. They all vote. They have to pick up their own medical perscriptions. These are 26 year old girlies going through first quarter life crisises. So, yea, that fanart of Fluttershy smoking forever weed is highly accurate.

He finds this quite hot actually. A smirk always appears on his face when he sees you get aggressive. You’re like him, how cute.

While he does appreciate how you defend him, cursing out people who are asking him out. Miles often tells you to not worry about it as he has eyes for you only. He plans on never leaving you, hence, you shouldn’t get defensive.

But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t like watching a show. Sometimes, he’ll let you handle the business - letting you start a verbal fight and watching how you curse up a storm. But, he’ll stop it before it gets pretty physical.

Whenever he separates you, he always makes sure to distract you by stealing some of your favorite food and comfort items.

Though, sometimes that always doesn’t happen. Things escalate quickly, to which, he has to turn into The Prowler. Of course, he always makes sure you’re okay afterward - his hand gently pulling you closer to his face to check out the bruises, ignoring your protests about the blood on his hands and now on your face.

Miles is pretty protective, possibly the same amount you feel of him. If he sees anyone getting immediately into your face when you approach them, he will step in and de-escalate the situation with his terrifying resting face and threatening words. At best, if they do put their hand on you, the next day they’re shown on the news with horrifying details about their body being found.

She felt like there was something wrong with her, but couldn't pinpoint what it was. The idea of relationships was so strange to her, but romance seemed to appealing. She didn't get it.

One day she went to talk to Shining Armour about it

Shining is a beegg!! Ally!! But knew this was outside of his area of expertise, so asked Cadence about it

Cadence went to Twilight and they talked about it for hours. She explained it all to Twi and made her feel so loved, normal, and beautiful.

After that, the pressure of relationships went away, and she wouldn't focus on it for another few years. Putting her studdies first, and later putting her friendships first.

i think that the concept of haskill + mantling as a gradual process is the coolest everever, because imagine you serve a god for ages but regularly hes replaced by another person... haskill knows sheogorath's personality will overtake the HoK's eventually but theres still a period where sheo's essentially died and been replaced, and this new person barely knows him even if he technically knows everything about them. i imagine theres a lot of onesidedness, cos haskill's unfalteringly loyal to / caring for / knowledgeable about someone who basically doesn't know who he is and maybe its a little tragic for him to watch sheogorath forget himself over and over

i can imagine him bringing (for example) tea to the HoK a few months into their mantling transformation, and the HoK is like "wow i didn't even know i liked this kind of tea before" and haskill just stoically goes "very good, your grace" but inside he knows that, of course they like it, its sheogorath's favorite. ough. agh. ough <- taking overtime poison damage from this thought

#and then eventually sheogorath remembers everything. can you imagine how secretly happy haskill gets #sheogorath (when he remembers) clearly appreciates haskill and thinks very highly of him which is so heartwarming #he calls him 'faithful' and 'a big help' with 'more brains than a brain pie' 'snappy dresser' 'dear haskill' etc etc. hnngnfg #theyre like the 'theyll find each other in every timeline' thing but with the greymarches fr #haskill #sheogorath #tes #im just rambling now but the angst potential.. the pining... but then everyhting turns out okay... OUGH <- the overtime damage starts again

the way i like to characterise pinkie pie is her levels of excitement and despair remaining relatively consistent. she will be just as excited at a good batch of muffins as one of her best friends announcing they’re going to be a parent. she will be just as disappointed in a ruined batch of cupcakes as she will be when there’s another equestria-ending disaster. she will care as much about a stranger as she will about her sisters. i don’t think this is particularly canon compliant but i think its an interesting take on her character. she has no ‘meter’ its all 0 or 100 with her
