Cytus is a terrestrial, super-earth type planet found in the Tau Ceti system.

It has a sulfur rich atmosphere, which pools into large lakes & has traces of early animal life. It's become a popular location due to its 14 moons, which have been extensively mined for resources.

Though relatively safe to live on with breathable atmosphere, some regions see a deadly acid rain. Luckily the massive, sky reaching terrain offers helpful cover!

In Cytus' orbit, is a small space station which slowly grew over time, eventually becoming the central travelling hub for the whole system!

It's 8am and I have a THOUGHT. Yes it's about Wounded Warrior again and yes I'm posting this to my art blog because my main is too much of a mess to be useable.

What if Wounded Warrior was a soldier who defected from the side of the king?

How did I come up with this? The symbol on their chest.

"But the majority of the soldiers have a diamond symbol on their chest no matter what side they're on" Oh I'm well aware. But a) Wounded's is different and b) it's what the shape seems oddly similar to that's intriguing me.

You wanna know what this shape reminds me of?

King Resh.

Don't see it yet? Take a look at the symbol, and then the art for Alef/Resh. They look pretty damn similar to me.

However, there's a single other fact that convinces me that Wounded Warrior was a defected soldier from the King's side. And that's the fact that the shield with the sun symbol on it is present on their side of the memory. Which is, notably, the symbol used on the Wasteland Elder Tsadi's shield. Honest to god I wouldn't be surprised if Wounded was a soldier who a) defected and b) rejoined the fight on the side of the elders. Wouldn't put it past them, either.

What makes me curious now is why they continued to wear their old armour if that was the case, though considering the circumstances, I wouldn't be surprised if a shortage of materials meant they had to resort to continuing to use it.

I'd say it's a joint effort. Chip, being daytime (and the Earth cough cough), welcomes the sun and guides it across the sky; Solaris, being time, controls and measures the planetary cycles, with the sun being the king of our solar system.

The Primordial one came from another world

And the second throne as well (celestia currently, maybe?)

The traveler from afar that married seelie. It never said that they came from another world but the use of traveler is suspicious

SlickWrite: Completely free; online. Checks grammar, punctuation, flow, and writing style according to different settings (including fiction writing).

ProWritingAid: [RECOMMENDED] One of the most thorough online proofreader I've ever used. Although when using a free account gives extremely thorough feedback, with +20 different in-depth reports, for only the first 500 words. However, you can earn a premium account license (for a year or for life) if you get 10 or 20 new users signing up for free; (if you wouldn't mind doing so using the link above and help me earn mine, please). The settings allow you to check your writing according to your needs, from general to formal to creative. It has a bonus that you can check depending on the genre you're writing. For example, in creative, you can choose romance or sci-fiction (there are 14 sub-genre in total). And just like google docs, you can share a document, and people can view, comment or edit it too.

LanguageTool: [RECOMMENDED] Another excellent proofreader. It also has a word limit in free accounts, but if you use the add-on for Google Docs, it counts each page as a new document, so hitting the word limit is nearly impossible. It helps you to rewrite a sentence (3 a day), even if it doesn't raise any flags; it's very useful for when your sentence is grammatically correct, but it doesn't feel quite right.

Grammarly, Hemingway Editor: No so great, but they do the basic job.

Fascinated by Kirby lore and its associated universe but not by the usual stuff like the ancients or dark matter.

Susie called Popstar a backwater planet, so is the Gamble Galaxy seen as a unsavory place to visit? Is the rest of the universe kinda normal and the world ending horrors mostly gravitate to that galaxy? Do the planets with life on them, like Ribbon Star and Popstar have interplanetary treaties? Is there planetary level politics? Is space travel normal? Or are most planets isolated and only the few with access to warp stars and custom built ships able to freely travel? Magic seems to be a regular thing that most beings possess to some degree, how does that effect the culture? A lot of Popstar’s problems are caused by magic-based beings or artifacts, so is there some security measure in place to counteract it? Instead of metal detectors, do places on Popstar screen for cursed magical artifacts?

Since Galaxia is heavily implied to be a sentient sword of ancient magical origins and great power, does it set off these hypothetical magic detectors? When going places like Merry Magoland or flying in a commercial starship, is Meta Knight constantly pulled to the side by workers who try to confiscate his sword? Is Meta Knight in a constant state of inconvenience because he refuses to go anywhere without his very cursed, emotional support sword? I’m fascinated by mundane kirby lore.

Hydryx is a water planet with the most abundant life in the system!

Its surface is almost completely submerged, spare for a few tall rock formations. Not many have explored this world due to its hostile environment, which has allowed life to flourish mostly untouched.

Hydryx has the largest moon in the whole system. It is mostly made up of radioactive raw materials and is home to an interesting metallic sand that seems to have magnetic properties.

Large spires poke up from the ground beneath the water, even sometimes stretching up past the surface! These formations were thought to be formed due to the tides created from Hydryx’s moon, collecting the material over time.

Ami’s relationship with her parents is… complex. It’s not hatred, but there is a level of underlying disdain and resentment stemming from childhood.

She harbors disdain towards her mother, Saeko, who rarely if ever made time for her and put intense emphasis on her education as a child. She was absent. Frequently. Due to her duties and responsibilities as a doctor.

Saeko herself considers herself a poor mother because of this. Yes, they were quite wealthy and had money to spare constantly- but those developmental years were plagued by her absenteeism to her daughter.

She became a doctor like her mother and followed in her footsteps, vowing to never repeat the same mistakes. And she hasn’t up to this point, even with her inner darkness tormenting her.

Ami’s father whose name she’s all but forgotten still keeps in contact with her. Sending her postcards every year for her birthday. Even in her forties. Her father isn’t a bad man by any stretch, but he was a free spirit and the marriage between him and Saeko began as loving and tender.

However, once Ami was born, issues began to arise and their commonalities because severe differences, causing them to drift apart. As a toddler and baby, Ami never smiled. Once.

Ami’s resentment to her father is because he left. Even more so, the significance of him leaving was considered taboo at the time. She understands why he left. She’d have done the same… but he never visited. He never came to take her away for a weekend or two… and to this day, she has never seen his face since she was a child.

And those memories are blurry due to her suppression of them. It’s hard to express how she feels. They’re not feelings which words alone can articulate.

So, my Japanese isn't great, but I wanted to try to clarify something on here that Google Translate isn't capturing, namely from this part: Saying that there are two types of gates and then defining them both as "Power to bring" doesn't make sense in English. Why make a distinction between the two if you're gonna define them the same way? But in the Japanese, it's not quite the same words used for both: "持ってくる力" (motte kuru chikara) vs. "持っていく力" (motte iku chikara. 力 (chikara) just means "power," so we'll set that aside for now since that part is actually consistent across both items. 持って (motte) is also consistent across both items. This means "carrying" or "holding," like you'd hold a bag or a purse or a backpack or something that you're taking around with you. The big difference is between くる (kuru) and いく (iku). These are actually the kana (phonetic) versions of two kanji characters: 来る (kuru) - to come 行く (iku) - to go That provides us with a nice little pair of opposites, and changes our literal definitions as follows: 持ってくる力 (motte kuru chikara) - Power to come carrying 持っていく力 (motte iku chikara) - Power to go carrying So... they're both kinda "power to bring" but it would be more accurate to say one brings and one removes. Or, if you're feeling dramatic, one giveth and one taketh away.

The really cool thing about Balors in Lancer is that all they are is Nanites on a frame of some sort. There's no real specifiers about WHAT the frame HAS to be made of, so you can make a Balor out of ANYTHING YOU WANT.

Relevant to this line of thinking is this bit of lore crafting that I made for my pilot's turbulent history with Balors and planetary civil wars.

So uh, make Balors out of weird things. Let your nanites do arts and crafts. You too can have your pilot ride around in a lovingly built homemade flayed skeleton powered by bees.
