Zelda's Ward

I created this spell as an inspiration from Zelda's magic. From playing Age of Calamity, you get to see her powers at work. This may be a bit of a spoiler for you if you have not played. So if you have not played the game and would rather wait this is your warning now to click off and find something else to do.

Once you unlock her powers after her will to protect Link you can switch to her luminescent mode where she glows, levitating off the ground in a heavenly light.

The way she outstretches her hand, banishing any sort of malice around her in glowing golden halos. It helped me implement ways in my practice to literally banish negativity and ward my space with my own energy.

This is more of a higher energy-costing exercise. More of a temporary ward that gets the job done when needed. So layering is best in this case so you can bring this down when your other ward is crafted. Also is an excellent energy cleansing method to get out any negative energetic gunk from your space.

Let's get started.

Sitting down get into a trance-like state to build energy. My favourite method is using any sort of music that really makes my body sway, that build-up of energy in my body extends to my magic. Really you can use any sort of method.

Envisioning a light can be any light that you feel is that core energy from your being. If you cannot visualize try focusing on feeling instead.

Outstretch your arms, and feel the tingle of your energy under your skin. Really try to use your senses to connect to your core and that energy thrumming and buzzing.

Once you feel confident that you have gotten it. Try to connect with the spirit of Zelda herself. The one who just wants to protect everyone around her. Her people, kingdom and Link. Think about how you'd like to protect your home, the people in it, your pets, and yourself. Now what do you want to banish? Negativity? Negative energy? An entity?

Try to envision or feel a bubble of energy in whatever colour you feel is right extending from yourself. Start small. Start with just around yourself and extend it a bit past yourself. Once you feel like you have it. Push it out in one blinding bright bubble across your home and past your property, solidifying right at your property's markers. Holding strong in a dome of impenetrable light. One that burned up and purified any sort of negativity. Banishing it in one go. Pushing it right out of your space.

Remember this is more of a temporary method. It can suck up a lot of energy. Remember to drink water afterwards and eat something small.

The Blue Spirit's Smile

~A glamour spell for when you need to either put on a face to present as someone/ something you are not, or to show who you truly are ~

What You Need

A mirror and sink

Blue Candle- truth and creativity

White Candle- secrets, protection

Dragon’s Blood incense (protection. any protection incense works)

Toothbrush and toothpaste

Mouthwash and Floss

Lipgloss, chapstick or lipstick

Most importantly, your smile

What To Do

Prepare yourself and your work space as necessary. Cleanse and ground, meditate, cast a circle etc.

Do this spell somewhere in your daily prep routine or during the time you’re getting ready to go wherever you need to present whichever version of yourself.

Safely arrange the candles and incense near your sink and mirror.

Light them and focus on your reflection in the mirror. Visualize your face as it is, but also as you want it to be seen, either as yourself or as you want to appear. Depending on where your spell falls in your routine, breathe in the incense (just as a normal breath, don’t inhale too deeply), and smile in the mirror. Focus on that smile (btw you’re beautiful and I hope you see it!) and tell yourself that.

Build and call on the powers you’re using to work the spell as you brush your teeth, floss and use the mouthwash. The thing we’re enchanting here specifically is our smile. Smile in the mirror again and as you do feel the energy you’ve put into cleaning your mouth, your smile. It is clean, renewed, respected.

As you’re smiling say “Smile of mine, smile so bright, Blessed by fire’s warmth and light, Hide/ Show the truth within, When others look upon my grin, My spirit aches to be free, Release/ Hide the truth of me.” Use hide/ show and hide/ release depending on what you’re doing, hiding or showing your face.

Apply the lipgloss, chapstick or lipstick to seal in the power of the spell on your smile. As you go through the day/ event you’re going to, remember that the power is in your smile.

Allow the candles and incense to burn out or blow them out. It is done.

Remove the glamour again when you next wash your face. To continue the glamour again through the day or event, whenever you reapply the lipstick, lipgloss or chapstick, say the chant again and remember that feeling when you first brushed your teeth. This can also be done with any sort of facial wash, or makeup.

IceWing Armor Protection Spell

This spell is inspired by the IceWing dragons from the series Wings of Fire. As such, I used dragon imagery and referenced the series when creating and casting this spell. However, it can be adapted to fit other influences.

Casting the Spell

First, create some kind of drawing or other object to represent your scale mail armor. I chose to draw a page of scales in a very small pocket notepad with my special glitter gel pen. You can use anything you like, as long as it is meaningful to you.

Breathe in and blow out, deeply, and long, like the whistling of wind through the mountains at night. Do this 3 times. Focus on raising the energy of Ice and winter as you do.

Place your armor object on your altar or enchanting board or wherever you do your magic work. Place your hand over your armor object.

Say words like this (it's your choice what/whom to invoke, so long as they're meaningful to *you.* I chose 9 as a meaningful number as well):

By the Great Ice Dragon’s teeth, I enchant this armor.

By the snow and ice of Jotunheim and Niflheim, I enchant this armor.

By the whistling of the cold North Wind, I enchant this armor.

By the glaciers of the Arctic, I enchant this armor.

By the ice caves of Antarctica, I enchant this armor.

By the frozen land of the tundra, I enchant this armor.

By the diamonds glittering in the earth, I enchant this armor.

By the cold and stone upon the mountains, I enchant this armor.

By the might of dragons, I enchant this armor.

Say words like this that clearly channel the energy into your intention: “I enchant this armor to defend me and shield me at will. I have sacrificed time, energy, and [materials you used to create the object]. So too will the armor defend me. The armor will be hard and tough as diamonds and dragon scales, and will defend me from all harm. The cold and ice will repel any intruders who would wish to do me harm. From head to toe, I will be kept safe and warm inside the scales.”

Push all of the energy you've raised into the armor object.

Try to summon your new armor and see if it works! You should be able to summon it and release it on command.

Notes: So far, the spell seems to work in my limited tests. If I were going to do it again, I would invoke Prince Arctic or Whiteout (or maybe even Darkstalker himself) during the incantation.

Hollyberry Kingdom Romance || Cookie Run inspired spell

A CONSENSUAL love spell for strengthening a bond between lovers and gathering the courage for all parties to express their love proudly and passionately.

Recommended tools:

- Pink candle (if pink isn’t available to you, white or red can work too!)

- Lighter or matches

- Paper and pen

- Berry of choice (optional)

- Rose quartz (optional)

Steps:

1. If applicable, put dried berries and/or rose quartz in your candle (optional)

2. Light the candle

3. Write the initials of yourself and your lover(s) on the strip of paper, take care and love in doing so!! Just as you’d take care of them!

4. Burn the paper in the candle’s flame, visualizing your passion and love for them*

*Please be careful and try not to burn yourself!! Just wait for the paper to dissolve into the flame

If desired, recite a love song or poem during this spell! (Can be in a whisper!)

Notes:

- I do not, nor will I ever, do non-consensual love spells; Forcing someone to fall in love with you is abusive and I do not condone it

Y’all wanna know the first book that I can trace my interest in witchcraft to?

It’s a book by Alvin Schwartz called Cross Your Fingers and Spit in Your Hat.

It’s a children’s book on superstitions and I still go back and reference it. It’s beautifully written (as anything by Schwartz is) and impeccably researched. Schwartz is a historian as much as he is a storyteller.

Every time I return to this book I find a little bit of myself again. I’m reminded of what magic means to me. I’m reminded of what my folks have always told me. I’m reminded that folk have been practicing magic of one sort or another as long as there’s been folks.

It makes me want to look a little closer at the little idiosyncrasies that make up my magic.

I guess what I’m trying to say is go back to the books that first brought magic to your mind when it seems like it’s gone missing.

Catch All Titanium Spider Web (Totally Spies Inspired Binding Spell)

A binding spell to prevent another from being an obstacle to you or your goals.

Ingredients:

Craft Wire or Pipe Cleaners or other thin wire

Paper or Cloth Poppet

Marker

Jar with a lid

Black Peppercorn

(Optional) Garnet Chips/Pieces

(Optional) Obsidian Pieces

Black Candle

Steps:

Make your poppet/doll of the target you are intending to bind. Using your marker write onto the poppet the target's name

Using your craft wire bind up the poppet thoroughly and tightly in a manner like you tying someone up. While you are doing so, verbally or mentally chant: "Spider web, spider web - tie you tight. Spider web, spider web - bind you tight" or anything else you may prefer.

Once bond, drop your poppet into the jar with the crystals and black peppercorns.

Seal the jars lid tightly then burn the candle long enough to either melt it on top of the jar or have enough melted wax to pour it over the lid to seal it up.

Store the jar somewhere dark and hidden.

CRIMSON'S CONFIDENCE

To instill a sense of bold, unwavering confidence within yourself. Inspired by Crimson Dawn from A Novel WIP by Crimson Songbird.

What You Will Need:

A favorite hair accessory

A mirror of any size

A scrap of paper and a writing utensil

A red candle of any shape or size

Matches or a lighter

💕 Settle in a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed or distracted. Get into a comfortable position with all the spell components within reach. 

💕 Carefully light the candle and set it in a safe place where it won’t get knocked over and away from any flammable objects. 

💕 Take a moment to gaze at the candle. Watch as the flame burns brightly. The color red is an emotionally intense color that garners attention. It represents ambition, love, and sexuality. The flame represents passion, energy, and motivation.  

💕 As you look into the flame, think of a time you truly felt good about yourself. Maybe you aced a test or scored a date. Maybe you got a genuine compliment that made your day or you accomplished a difficult goal. Regardless of the source, let this energy be your fuel. Let it fill your chest with confidence.

💕 Now grab the scrap of paper and draw a skull. (Please note that it doesn’t have to be perfect. Your best is good enough.) This serves as a representation of Crimson’s iconic skull hair pin.

💕 Set the hair accessory on the skull drawing and place your dominant hand over the two. This establishes your connection with Crimson.

💕 Look into the mirror and say, “With (and without) this hair accessory, I am admirable and I am attractive. Crimson's confidence flows through me just as naturally as blood flows through my veins.” Allow that confident energy to travel through your body and channel it into the hair accessory. Repeat the incantation as many times as needed.

💕 Remove your hand from the accessory once you feel the accessory is full of Crimson’s confidence. This means the spell is complete.

💕 Extinguish the candle and clean up your space.

Katara's Ice Trap

A binding spell to trap someone’s rage and aggression in ice and then melt it away based on Azula and Katara’s fight

What You Need

A taglock to tie the magic to your target.

As the spell’s inspiration is Katara and Azula, I used a bit of the person’s hair (since you know, Azula snipped her hair wrong in her descent into madness) But any taglock will do. A picture, hair, something belonging to them. Etc.

A Blue candle to promote peace and calm within yourself and in the target.

A binding incense. I used Sandalwood, but anything associated with binding will work.

A small container for the taglock to be frozen in. A glass of water, to pour over the taglock, to freeze it in

A black string, ribbon, or cord to tie around the taglock before freezing it, to further bind it.

What To Do

Prepare yourself and your workspace however you see fit. Ground, center, call the powers you’ll be working with, meditate, cast a circle etc.

Before you begin, sit in your workspace and relax. Keep yourself calm and centered during this spell. Find happiness, and peace, and focus before you start. When you are ready light the candle and then the incense.

Pick up your taglock, visualizing the target and the anger and aggression they are full of. Hold it in the incense smoke for a moment, watching the smoke swirl around the object, visualizing the same smoke enveloping the target.

Hold it (SAFELY) over the candle and say “Fire’s rage burns hot and strong, let it be soothe by water’s song”

Take your cord or string and tie it around the taglock, visualizing the rage and aggression within your target being held at bay. Say “By cord entwined your rage be bound, kept in check, wrapped around”

Place the cord-bound taglock in the container it will be frozen in. Say “Bright embers cooled by water’s kiss, know no more anger, only peaceful bliss”- Pour the water over the object and prepare it to be frozen. Visualize the person calming, their anger subsiding bit by bit.

Take the container to the freezer. Say “In cold ice now encased, let your anger be erased”

Return to your candle and incense, relax your mind and body. Find again the calm you felt before. Visualizing that cool, calmness spreading across the target as well. Repeat as necessary, encasing in more water and freezing again.

To Melt Away the remnants of their rage/ aggression

Remove the frozen object either in or out of its container.

Place it in a large enough bowl to melt safely and without making a mess.

Allow it to melt naturally, and when you dispose of the taglock (properly, no matter what the item is) visualize that the target is indeed calmer and less aggressive.
