Ok, so about the new portal door. I bet that the reason that it's built on a graveyard is because Wittewife/Evelyn was the one who made it so that she could visit Caleb's grave.

Think about it! After her husband dies, she uses the old portal door to travel back and forth between earth and the BI. The old portal door was the one Belos knew about and one day, he steals the old portal door to rob Caleb's corpse. When he traveled through the portal, Evelyn went after him and they have this fight but Eve ends up winning. She decides to build a new portal door. Finally, she buries the old portal door so that Belos thinks that there isn't a way back anymore.

I don't think it was ever explained how the Portal Door was created in the first place. But now that we've seen the Titan as he looked when he was alive, with one eye missing and the other eye matching the eye on the Portal Key, my guess is that the Titan himself created the Portal.

His blood was able to breach dimensions, so he would be able to make it.

In season 3 luz should have A Crisis and then hunter can teach her the breathing thing. and then later amity should have A Crisis and luz will teach her the breathing thing. and finally willow will have A Crisis and amity can remind her to do the breathing thing. her act of kindness towards gus finally circles back to her after several years. and it’ll be the conclusion to the arc of willow and amity becoming friends again

TOH FANDOM, I HAVE HAD A REALIZATION.

so........ many of you know about the subtle “creepy whispers” in the background of yesterday’s lie while luz was in that in-between realm, right? if not, i’m adding a video with the audio edits in those clips to make them easier to here. this is the original tweet. if you’re having trouble deciphering them, here’s a video translating the lines by rebecca rose.

I’VE FIGURED IT OUT!! it just suddenly clicked while reading the fandom wiki!!

as we all know, although i’ve never seen anyone make the now-obvious connection, that in-between realm was where the collector was trapped for all those years before king freed them in the season 2 finale:

...meaning... THAT VOICE IS THE COLLECTOR!! it makes total sense, what with lines such as “can anyone hear me?” “yessssss”, “come”, “luuuz noceeedaaa”, “stay with us. stay heeerre” matching his playful personality perfectly. i wonder if they recognized her in king’s tide? (rebecca mentioned in her video the “being” having some communal intelligence, and it doesn’t surprise me the collector would know luz’s name.)

also, another interesting thing i’d like to mention is that in the former episode, the camera never pans all the way up to the top. i’m not sure if luz looks that way or not, but if she does, she never sees that particular corner where the collector communicates with belos (she wasn’t gonna know anything about that until hollow mind). i believe that is intentional so as to postpone that animation key until the latter episode. i also believe that, because of this evidence, the voice is coming directly from the top of the realm where they’re hiding.

i mean, really..... it can’t be anyone or anything else, and those clips have got to have been included for a reason. the collector was bored and wanted someone to play with, and all of a sudden someone shows up in their realm. it makes sense!!

Small theory about the portal built by Luz

The plans she followed were not accurate, that is why it didn't go to the human realm.

This is because Philip/Belos edited his journal before donating it to the library. Think about it why would Belos give out a book that had instructions on how to get to the human realm?

He must have changed the details so that it did not only not lead to the human realm but lead to a place where witches can get trapped in.

The portal will open from this arch behind the Clawthorne residence (taken from the beginning sequence of Keeping Up A-Fear-Ances)

This is where the portal door was buried. Caleb (probably) left the rebus. Caleb was a Clawthorne ancestor, bc Evelyn was a Clawthorne. The hand of the witch from the haunted hayride show has long golden fingernail just like Eda.

These things just make sense you guys. I have a Samsung Note from November first where I detective-d it out (it's just what I wrote above it's copy-pasted exactly).

Maybe this was obvious to other people and I don’t know that it’s even relevant, but by Elsewhere and Elsewhen, Phillip already had the portal built. He could’ve gone home. 

But by then he’d also already “lost” his brother to wild magic (aka murdered him himself, without even using magic. Straight up kills him the most human way possible. with a KNIFE) and was seemingly decades into this quest, first to find the ingredients for the portal, but also to achieve his ultimate goal of witch hunting, wiping out magic. In fact, as the years went by he probably doubled down on the whole ‘lets commit genocide’ thing if his attitude towards witches by Elsewhere and Elsewhen (and then post meeting Luz and Lilith) is any indication. To Phillip, now he can’t simply go home at that point and allow the Boiling Isles and the Demon Realm to keep existing as it is. He’s a witch hunter. To wipe them out is his ‘duty’. 

Phillip says specifically in his entry “All that’s left is to seek out the Collector, and he will tell me what I need to complete my mission.” He also later straight up tells Luz and Lilith that he needed the Collector for something else. They assume he’s being a jerk (and he is), but he also wasn’t lying. Now, we know his entries aren’t always truthful and that he is an unreliable narrator. That being said, I don’t doubt the Collector has the information to complete HIS mission, since we later find out the whole coven system is even more of a scam and danger to the witches than initially thought. Phillip/Belos’ mission is just not the same as Luz’s. 

(All this to say, time pools exist and so does the portal at different times. Idk how removing things would impact time (Lilith does mention the bloody fly effect lol), but to me, maybe Luz doesn’t need to complete her own at all! Also this is my theory that a version of the portal suitcase falling through a time pool is how it could’ve possibly escaped Belos notice and ended up in the Clawthorne’s yard)

so much muse, so little time. that finale huh? so many hcs became canon, so much we were denied because of that shortening thanks to Disney

all in all amazing conclusion with so many loose ends that wasn’t the show’s fault. Half happy with how The Collector’s arc ended. …As for Philip I mean like, if it were my version that I write I would not be happy at all but canon deserved such a fate. But so much was left up in the air and 😔

I still LOVED THAT FINALE SM. HOW WE BOTH FEELING? anyone else obsessively rewatching the scene Luz dies just to hear the music?
