Throwback: DMX Performs "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer"
Throwback: DMX Performs "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" @dmx @Power1051
There are a few annual traditions in the JOVM world but there’s one that is very dear to me: The annual posting of DMX performing “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer” at Power 105.1. We all have an Earl Simmons in our lives — sometimes we’re related to an Earl Simmons. Although DMX’s life was troubled. this Power 105.1 interview was an extremely rare moment of levity, playfulness and Christmas…

Mini Review - The Blackening (2023)
Tumblr media
i really like it (high tier?) 🤔
Quite a Black-ass funny-ass horror, but much more of an interesting Black movie than a horror. Like, the main horror is in the racist murderer at a cabin in the woods. Like,... I'm not even gonna explain that. You either get it or you don't. Which brings me to the main thing I wanna say. This really is for Black people. I wouldn't recommend it for people who aren't in some way "Black" (biracials, getcha ass in here).
I'm serious when I say this isn't for Euros. Like, y'all really shouldn't* watch this unless you were out of the blue invited by Black people or are yourself very involved with Blackness in some way. (whatever dafuq that means) Should full-on Euros who have no actual exposure to Blackness see this movie? Absolutely not. Everything's dangerous in the wrong hands, and some of y'all asses are gonna do the absolute wrong shit with this. Intentionally or not.
*Pre-Edit: I heard a room of Black people (including some cast members) completely disagree with me in Way Up With Angela Yee’s video (timestamped).
Now that I'm done talking to the non-Blacks, let's get on with it.

Tumblr media
Y'all, this some shit. God damn. So glad I just happened to see this in a small theatre filled to a third with mostly Afros. Got to enjoy the reactions almost as much as the movie. Is it great, though? As a Black movie, yeah. As a horror movie, nah. As a Black horror, yep. As a Black comedy horror, hell yeah. And to be real, I don't think non-Black reviews/opinions/criticisms should even be taken into account for this one. Like, I read 7 recent reviews on Letterboxd before getting to Darryl Buckhanan's and seeing all the convincing I needed. This ain't for everybody. And I'm glad it ain't. Let ma ass be. Real talk,... how many o'y'all would'a failed that shit? 💀
Real talk, I didn't trust this movie to not be for Euros because of the director (Tim Story). Here me out! Of his 23 movies listed on Letterboxd, I've only seen five: Barbershop (2002), Fantastic Four (2005), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), Think Like a Man (2012) (they just had to put Rihana’s abuser in this 🙄), and this one. While I enjoyed all of the other four, I 1) haven't seen his other Black-casted works and 2) strongly suspected Shaft (2019) of being made for Euros everytime I saw its preview in theatres. Never bothered to confirm that suspicion, but I don't feel the need to. Fortunately, that review convinced me of this one and I saw it yesterday.
Side Notes:
Would not recommend watching 3Peat Presents: The Blackening - Uncensored before the movie if you're already interested. If you ain't, then go ahead and ask yourself if you want a feature length film inspired by this 4 minute Comedy Central skit. (the answer is yes)
Already saw it and interested in hearing some of the cast and crew talk about it? Here ya go:

Waitin' for my favorite Afro streamers to talk about The Blackening. fuckers better come on
Happy Juneteenth, mofos
Pre-Edit: I realized while listening to interviews and doing my Crew Data that this movie probably won't fully succeed unless Euros watch it too. That’s the business side of it. I’m speaking on more of a personal matter in comparison. meh 🤷🏿‍♂️ Shortly after typing the above, I heard a room of Black people (including some cast members) completely disagree with me in Way Up With Angela Yee’s video (timestamped).
Tests:
I’m gonna skip 4 crew tests and hold off on posting Crew Data for now. Here’s the test process for the other 16, though.

Even as the rat situation went from bad to worse to Black Death during the pandemic, he was the only candidate to talk rodents during the primary race, and he has continued to do so since. Just this week, during an interview on the Power 105.1 FM radio show “The Breakfast Club,” Adams reiterated that there’s an “amazing rat-trap device” he would expand for use throughout the city.
That device is the infamous rat bucket Adams demonstrated at his 2019 “rat summit” at Brooklyn Borough Hall. His silver bullet for the city’s rodent problem is a bucket-shaped trap that lures in rodents with the scent of food, then drowns them in a vinegary solution. “A dozen reporters were gathered around Mr. Adams when he gleefully displayed a plastic bin containing blobs of rat floating around in a mouse-gray stew,” the New York Times reported. “It was a ghastly spectacle and the odor was stomach-churning.” Adams clearly loved the grossed-out responses: “Sometimes you need to see for yourselves to get the shock effect,” he said.
It seems to have worked, at least when it comes to establishing his image as the ruthless Pied Piper of Brooklyn. “I liked how Eric Adams went after rats like Cruella de Vil,” Cat Marnell told New York ahead of the primary; she ranked him fourth on her ballot. (x)
///
Here’s how the Rat Trap works: Designed to fit in between public trash receptacles, the trap lures critters inside and up a rat-sized ladder with an enticing bait of sunflower seeds and nuts.
Once the rats reach a platform inside, they trigger a trap-door that sends them plunging into a vat filled with a vinegar-alcohol solution that quickly rendering them unconscious as they drown in the drink.
The odor-free traps can hold 30 to 40 rats at a time, enough space that they only have to be emptied once a month — but that is surely a day on the calendar to be dreaded. Using what looked like a white plastic ladle, a worker scooped the dripping rat carcasses out of one bucket of the rat-atouille contraption Thursday in a stomach-churning proof of concept.
The grisly output notwithstanding, Adams said that he was sold on the Rat Trap being the key to New York winning the rat race.
“We spent hundreds of millions of dollars on this. It’s candy for rats,” said Adams, holding up a bag of rat poison. “To rats, this is a joke. To us, this is a continued expense.” (x)

Kanye's Antisemitism Didn't Start With that Tweet
Tumblr media
Kanye West has been antisemitic for a long time. It did not come to light, to me anyway because I am not up to date with celebrity news, until this tweet made the news. I dug deeper after seeing this and saw it has been going on for a while. I knew who he was but I did not normally pay attention to his antics. Kanye West made an extremely antisemitic tweet that said,"I'm a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I'm going dealth con on JEWISH PEOPLE The funny thing is I actually be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone who opposes your agenda." At least West was locked out of his Instagram and Twitter accounts due to this goyish meshugaas (non Jewish nonsense). He tweeted one antisemetic tweet after another. The post that this was referencing was also antisemitic. It was a text exchange between West and Diddy that was posted on Instagram. West told him,"Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influene me. I told you this was war." In response to his accounts being suspended, he tweeted,"Who do you think invented cancel culture?" He is refencing Mark Zuckerburg being Jewish and that Jews invented "cancel culture." He forgot one thing, Twitter and Facebook are not owned by the same people. West's Antisemitism Isn't Just Recent In a 2013 radio interview with New York City's Hip Hop and R &B station Power 105.1 FM, West attempted to explain President Barrack Obama's inablilty to gain momentum on his policy priorities in Washington, DC with the statement that,"Black people don't have the same level of connections as Jewish people." Abraham H. Foxman, the director of the Anti Defamation League said,"If the comments are true as reported, this is classic anti-semitism. There it goes again, the age old connard that Jews are all powerful and control the levers of power in government. As a celebrity with a wide following, Kanye West should know better. We hope that he will take responsibiloty for his words, understand why they are so offensive, and apologize to those he has offended." West's full quote was, "Man, let me tell you about George Bush and oil money and Obama and no money. People want to say Obama can't make these moves or that he's not executing. that's because he ain't got those connctions. Black people don't have the same level of connections as Jewish people. Black People don't have the same connection as oil people." Unaired Tucker Carlson Interview He made several antisemitic comments and talked about "fake children" invading his home until unaired portions of his Fox News interview with Tucker Carlson were leaked. He perpetuated several antisemitic conspiracy theories in this interview. "Planned Parenthood was made by Margeret Sanger, a know eugenics, with the KKK to control the Jew population," He told Carlson. "When I say Jew, I mean the 12 lost tribes of Judah, the blood of Christ, who the people known as the race Black really are. This is who our people are. The blood of Christ. This, as a Christian, is my belief." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qn6PTWBXmpU&feature=emb_title Sanger who was the founder of Planned Parenthood was a known supporter of eugenics. Planned Parenthood denounced Sanger for her belief in eugenics. West's claim about the "Jew population" references the antisemitic Radical Hebrew Israelites. This hate group claims that Jews are "imposters or thieves" and have stolen the identity and birthright of the "true Israelites." Who are the Radical Hebrew Israelities? The Radical Hebrew Israelities use similarities between Jews and other marginalized groups as a foundation for antisemitic beliefs. THey appropriate Jewish heritage to claim exclusive identity as the true chosen people of G-d and decry Jews as imposters and thieves. They seek dominance and not equity and strict adherence to biblical literalism to legitimize their ideology. They spread their beliefs through street preaching, often harassing people, provoking and shaming any non-Israelite and those of their own community that doesn't follow their beliefs. This can be queer people of color within their communities. The Radical Hebrew Israelites have a definite abhorrence of relationships between "Israelites" and white people as they relate them to the devil. This furthers the marginalization but it also parallels the toxic power structures that are common in the far right. References Antisemitic Conspiracy Theories The conspiracy theory is that Jewish people control financial institutions when discussing winter holidays that were celebrated at his children's school. "My kids are going to a school that teaches Black kids complicated Kwanzaa," West said. "I prefer my kids knew Hannukah than Kwanzaa. At least it would come with some financial engineering." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soG7t2OU8ms Uses a Strange Metaphore about Jews West used a strange metaphore when talking about Black people judging one another,"This about judging each other on how white we could talk would be like, you know, a Jewish person judging another Jewish person on how good they danced or something. I mean, that's probably a bad example and people are going to get mad at that shit. I probably want to edit that out." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqwOb-cPyLE After These Antisemitic Comments, West Was Invited to Holocaust Museum Kanye West was invited to the Holocasut Museum in Los Angeles to learn about the dangers of hateful and antisemitic rhetoric. They did this because they wanted to educate him on how dangerous his words are. This is a very Jewish thing to do. Education will cure ignorance in some situations. In a statement from the Holocaust Museum in LA,"Words matter and words have consequences Ye. We urge you to come visit us at Holocaust Museum LA to understand just how words can incite horrific violence and genocides. "The Holocaust started with only words that sadly begat stereotypes, racial and religious tropes and blaming others and led to the murder of six million Jews. "At Holocaust Museum LA it is our mission to commemorate those who were murdered, educate on the Holocaust and all genocides including the genocide perpetrated against the Armenian People (of which your children would be included), and inspire a more dignified and humane world. "Your words reach millions and you can choose to incite or you can choose to inspire. We are located at 100 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90036 and welcome you any time." I hope he takes them up on their offer but I am doubtful. Pusha T Breaks Down “Story Of Adidon,” Says Drake Got What Was Coming Once He Said His Fianceé’s Name, “All Bets Are Off Because Of That”

Pusha T Calls The Breakfast Club About His Drake Diss
If you were feeling bad for Drake after Pusha T dropped “Story of Adidon,” you shouldn’t — at least that’s what Pusha T says. The rapper called into “The Breakfast Club” Wednesday to break down his bars and explained why he snapped.
Play
When asked by the Power 105.1 morning team if he felt badly at all about the verbal assault (and photo exposure) of Drizzy, Pusha told the crew that once Drake said his fianceé, Virginia Williams’ name.
“All bets are off because of that,” Pusha told The Breakfast Club.
He went on to discuss the photo he’d used for the song after Angela Yee asked where he got the artwork.
“The picture came from a site, it was a photographer named David Leyes. I guess Drake took the pictures a little while ago. They said it was his idea, what to do.”
Charlamagne then said that it’s likely Drake will be questioned about the photo wherever he goes now.
“I need to understand what makes you take a picture like that,” Pusha agreed and when the trio added that the baby lines will also continue to haunt Drake, Pusha agreed with that as welll. “Even the baby thing is a little crazy. Who rolls out their child with a sweatsuit?” Push asked.
Envy, Angela and Charlamagne asked Push to further explain the Adidas situation and he had this to say:
“The Adidas situation is this. His new line on Adidas is called Adidon — the line is named after his child Adonis. We don’t know, we just know that we couldn’t know until he sold a sweatsuit.”
Angela then brought up how today is World MS Day, making the lines about Noah “40” Shehib that much more impactful.
But Pusha remained unfazed.
“Ah man, that’s ironic. Listen man, I’m just here man, I’m here for the sport of it but when it gets too personal it gets too personal.”
When asked if he had any regrets or had censored himself at all Pusha said “Not at all. I’m not censoring myself, that’s just more content later.”
This battle really could go on and on! Mind you, Pusha isn’t fearful about what Drake may say about him next.
“I’m a tell y’all like this,” Pusha said. “I don’t have any skeletons. I’m not gonna bully the situation but I think it’s bigger questions than the things I brought up and I really feel like they need to be answered. That’s really how I feel. I’m not gonna excuse you talking multi million dollar talk to me while you are tucking a baby. I don’t even talk to my friends who have child support issues. I’m big on kids. That’s just real. You can’t hang out with me and ball with me. That’s real.”
When talk returned to the blackface photos Pusha continued to question Drake’s judgment.
“Listen cuz to me, I feel like this wasn’t so long ago,” Push told The Breakfast Club. ” Have you just started recognizing your blackness? How could you not have felt some type of way doing that photoshoot? It’s deep. I need to know.”
Angela Yee then asked if Pusha knows for sure that Drake has actually fathered a baby, to which he responded, “Angela Yee, we done already tap danced around the ghostwriting, we not tap dancing around no baby.”
Charlamagne jumped in to say, “We not tap dancing at all because we not wearing no blackface.”
“And that’s a fact!” Pusha added.
The interview also shed some light on alleged Drake ghostwriter Quentin Miller, who has been collateral damage in several Drake related beefs.
“I talked to Quentin last night,” Pusha told TBC. “For real for real, that is the one regret that I have about “Infrared.” Quentin is extremely talented and he’s trying to get his career on and trying to move on and I feel like I sort pulled him back in it. But I feel like that was just a casualty. For him, in turn I’ve tried to help him, reach out to agents and managers and I’ve seen how people react to his name. That’s one thing that’s bothersome. He was like, ‘You know I’m trying to duck that.’
As the interview came to a close Charlamagne cautioned Pusha, “Don’t sleep on Aubrey Push, don’t sleep, stay alert.”
“Bruh,” Push replied, “I’m wide awake.”
Are you loving this rap battle or do you think they’re going too far?
Hit the flip for some related social media from Pusha T.

I'm the dish the TV show. They should be going through iheartradio. They wanna look or listen to I should say and they can divide it between each of them.Different stations from around the country.. Getting a feel for what's trending. And so they can turn it from voice to text and turn it into a keyword search or Once they turn it into text they can scan for the most common comments....
So they would have all the transcripts of the shows turning toward docs. And then they would scan each of the transcripts to see what comes up the most. They can do a specific search, but this isn't a breakdown. How many times did they mention John Legend during a show? Then they can look at the direct comments of what they said about John Legend. But this will give them all the different trending content...
To count the number of times each word appears in a Word document, you can use the Find and Replace feature.
Open the Find and Replace dialog box.
In the Find what field, enter the word or phrase you want to count.
In the Replace with field, enter a space.
Click the Find All button.
Word will find all instances of the word or phrase and replace them with a space.
The number of instances of the word or phrase will be displayed in the status bar at the bottom of the window.
Here are some additional tips for counting words in a Word document:
You can use the Find and Replace feature to count the number of times a specific word appears in a document, or you can count the number of times all words appear in a document.
To count the number of times all words appear in a document, simply leave the Find what field blank.
You can use the Find and Replace feature to count the number of times a word or phrase appears in a specific section of a document. To do this, select the section of the document you want to count before you open the Find and Replace dialog box.
You can use the Find and Replace feature to count the number of times a word or phrase appears in a specific range of pages in a document. To do this, select the range of pages you want to count before you open the Find and Replace dialog box.
Then they can pay each of their shows directly for the content they use. So they would set up a deal with iheartradio. The reason I mentioned them is they have a 20 something 30, something and teenage. Demographics, that's extremely big. And people in these age groups are more interested in what's trending....

In Illinois, you can file a civil lawsuit for intentional infliction of emotional distress (IIED) if your spouse's behavior is outrageous or reckless and intended to cause distress. To win an IIED lawsuit, you must prove:
You experienced actual emotional pain
Your distress is directly connected to your spouse's behavior
Your life has been significantly impacted by your spouse's behavior
O'Flaherty Law
Illinois Adultery Laws - Does Cheating Impact Alimony ...
Feb 12, 2024 — One legal alternative available in the face of infidelity is filing civil lawsuits for intentional infliction of emotional distress (IIED) when a spouse cheated. An IIED claim can be filed if the spouse's behavior was notably outrageous or reckless and was intended to cause distress. To win an IIED lawsuit, the plaintiff must demonstrate actual emotional pain, prove a direct connection between their distress and the spouse's behavior, and the significant impact it had on their life.
A jury will consider a variety of evidence when determining the amount of damages to award, including:
The plaintiff's mental anguish and emotional distress
The plaintiff's reputation has been injured
The plaintiff has lost support
The plaintiff has lost consortium, or the marital fellowship of the other spouse
The quality of the marriage before the third party's interference
In general, a jury is likely to award more damages if the evidence shows the spouses had a good relationship before the affair.
You can also sue for criminal conversation or alienation of affection, which can compensate you for damages, including emotional distress. To win a lawsuit based on alienation of affection, you must prove:
You and your spouse were married and there was underlying affection between you
The love and affection in the marriage was destroyed
The defendant directly caused the affection between the spouses to be destroyed

Bo$$, the first female Hip-Hop artist to sign with Def Jam Recordings, has passed away. On Monday, March 11, artists like Bun B, DJ Premier, Warren G and other legends took to social media to mourn the loss of Bo$$, who was born Lichelle Laws. Throwback: DMX Performs "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer"
Throwback: DMX Performs "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer" @dmx @Power1051
There’s another annual tradition around here: The posting of DMX performing “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer” at Power 105.1. We all have an Earl Simmons in our lives — sometimes we’re related to an Earl Simmons. And although DMX’s life was frequently troubled and screwed up, this Power 105.1 interview was a rare moment of levity, playfulness and Christmas spirit. May this holiday season be…
