The Great War -141 & Vladimir Makarov

Based on a request:

with the new mw3, lets do angst, something along the lines of “Somewhere in the haze, got a sense i’ve been betrayed” coming from us because 141 betrayed us horribly, which ended up in us getting tortured and then we pretennd its fine when it isnt. forget and forgive we lie and when we meet with Makarov, we tell them, ‘oops sorry, forgot i was also a enemy at some point, guess its time to betray like real enemies do’ and as we set Makarov free, we show that we have been working as his spy ever since they betrayed us. also can this be with a female reader and we also marry makarov behind their backs so thats why we betray so hard? i love u! ---- F!Reader, soldier!reader, enemy!reader, betrayal, mentions of war and violence ----

Part 1, Part 2

One was set to win. That win would set a new record for all criminals and good men. This is how modern warfare changes for the better and worse of us.

This is the great war.

"So, how will we do this?" Price asks Laswell, who was looking at the board of pinned suspects and the three main targets. A love triangle, what a mistake and blessing this was for the three people involved. "I gathered some intel, I know that tension is high with Makarov and R/N. My source tells me Ghost is driving a line between the two lovers and we will use that leverage." Amongst all the people looking for the three criminals, there was an underground world that wanted their story to succeed. After all, what is evil without danger?

Meanwhile, somewhere in Amsterdam.

"Simon, stop-"

"R/N, he isn't going to make us last long," Ghost tried to reason his idea for throwing Makarov to the dogs that the soldiers around the world were. "We are not killing my fucking husband, I am not going to give him to Laswell so she can send him to prison." The gun in your hands is cleaned from the fresh blood.

Everyone knew that this is what always kills such powerful villains. Love the fact that someone else was introduced to the already steady team. Simon was a liability, there was no lie there but what he brings to the table is stronger. His background runs deep and he knows best.

Soldiers on both sides train, wanting their idea of 'Good' to win. In war, there is no good. It is all bad and cruel, even if you are told you are on the good side of history, you know deep inside, that for one story there are two sides, so you will always be a villain no matter what.

Six months and five days and now you find yourself in a meeting room. Vladimir tells soldiers the plan, Ghost giving you a look and then you looking at your husband. His hand holds yours, "We are doing this to end those who think they have better us and we will crush them.

It was a nightmare for Task Force 141 to fight against their own.

There you were, opposite sides of the line. Guns in hand, bombs waiting to explode and you, holding Vladimir's hand. The first gun shot fired and it was to the opposing team.

This is how all wars begin.

Price had minor scratches, Gaz with a minor wound to his shoulder and Soap, running across the hills to place bombs and ready himself for what came. On the other side, snipers were on hold, Ghost commanding them. Vladimir commits crimes as his militia moves closer to the targets.

Skies roar, rain and thunder fall but no one has any reason to stop. One must win, they all think and dream of.

Three weeks into this and there you stood, watching as both sides created good-faith treaties. Ghost gives you a knowing look and you shake your head. "No, we're not going with that plan," you oppose but the man with the final word is Makarov.

"My love, there is no other choice," his hands take hold of your face. "No, we're not doing that. Please, let's not do this, Vlad," you plead and he kisses your forehead.

As he told you the steps to this dreaded plan, all went silent. Life flashed as his words continued. Everyone in that room watched as you shed tears, as you held your husband and as you continued to refuse the plan.

"I'll see you soon," Vladimir kisses your forehead and leaves the room. His men holding you back. "Ghost," you say out of desperation but all he does is give you a small head shake. "Sorry," he whispers and leaves.

Once you had calmed down, you were guided to Makarov's private office, where you just awaited with grief.

Out in the field, Vladimir turns to Ghost. "We fight or die, you hear me?" "Loud and clear," Ghost says back and they both go into position.

141 and Konni Group made up floors with blood and gun shells. It was a blood bath and one that would guarantee some repercussions.

One shot made the surrounding areas fall silent.

"Enemy down," Ghost says over the radio.

Vladimir looks up at Ghost. "You sonovabitch," Vladimir tries to sit up but Ghost presses his boot to his throat. "You took men I worked with down back in London, and rest assured it won't happen again." Ghost pointed his gun to the side of Makarov. "And don't worry, your widow will be occupied as you burn in hell." His finger is close to the trigger.

"Don't you dare hurt her!"

"Who said anything about hurting? She will be a widow for a short time, soon or later, that widow will become my wife."

Ten minutes later, Ghost knocks on the door. You open it expecting to find him and Makarov but he hands you Makarov's gun and he shakes his head. "No, please...please tell me this isn't true," you begin to cry. "I'm sorry. I tried to stop him but-"

"Stop him?"

"He committed suicide" The lie left Ghost's lips.

"No, no that isn't true. He would never-"

"R/N, I saw him, I tried to reason with him but...nothing worked and I was there too late, I'm sorry." He hugs you.

Then the conversation he told you before stepping out of the meeting room made more sense.

"If me and Ghost don't make it back to the office, you grab your bag and go to Switzerland. A home has been set for you, it's a peaceful place and I know it'll be difficult to move on but my love, you have to. Don't look back and live a long life. There is a bank account that has billions of dollars in it. You use that money for whatever you please. I love you," he kissed your hands and sighed.

Many will win. Many will die. Many will go home and just like Makarov, many will die on cold frozen ground, away from their loved ones and away from home.

Back at the 141 HQ.

"Laswell, explain it!" Price said through gritted teeth.

"Fine." She sat down and lit her cigarette.

"I made R/N fall for Makarov. I was the reason they met. I sent all of you away from her and I made her and Ghost stay behind so she could have some rendevous with Makarov. You wanted Makarov dead and you got it."

"You fucking lied to us," Gaz mentions.

"No, I didn't lie. I just didn't tell you the truth of the real plan."

"And what is the real plan?" Soap questions.

"Unbeknownst to everyone but me and Ghost, I made R/N fall for Makarov. Who do you think gave her the advice to marry her prohibited love? I knew Ghost fell for R/N long before Makarov came into the picture. So I made a deal. He and R/N live a life away from worry and in exchange, he betrays us and kills Makarov. It's crazy how far love goes."

"Alex was right about you," Gaz mentions and Laswell shakes her head. "Gentlemen, you got what you wanted. Makarov is dead and Russia is in talks to prevent another attack. We all win."

"Why not imprison him?" Soap asks.

"He would escape. So, Ghost came up with the plan to kill Makarov as he pretended to be on the side of Konni. It's not a complicated scheme," Laswell crosses her legs and lets out a puff of smoke.

"You made us believe Ghost betrayed us-"

"What about R/N? Did she know about this plan of yours?" Price, as the older brother he was to you asks.

"She didn't know and as far as I'm concerned, she believes Makarov committed suicide. He even went out of his way to make her life away from the military comfortable and gave her nearly 2 billion dollars so she could live comfortably. If only he knew that Ghost would also enjoy those riches," she chuckles and stands up.

"Go rest," she advises and leaves the room.

In every story, there will always be villains.

I'm hearing 2 opinions on Erdogan and idk I wanted to ask you bcs I got both of them from non-natives. So the first says that he IS a good president, there is just too many outside factors trying to bring him down. And the second told me that he WAS a good a help for the country until he decided to care about some other things (colonisation ?) which eventually led to the current downfall. Maybe both are right or both are wrong, what do you think?

Non natives love to defend Erdo which is why us Turks have a whole term for them. Most of it however DOES stem from the second option being true.

Erdogan was in fact a very good leader in his first few years of power, now my family personally never liked him, he technically was in power on the sidelines for 10 years until he became president 10 yrs go. He did many things like make hospitals and healthcare way more accessible, fixed a lot of roads and built bridges etc. Now you may go “jay, isnt that what a normal president is supposed to do ?” Well, yes. But the guy before him didnt do a whole lot, so him doing his literal job was enough to convince people he was good enough to keep around.

As time went on he started to take a way harsher approach. Slowly but surely the price and tax on everything went up. Religion started to be the hottest topic in turkey despite us being a secular country on paper.Slowly festivals became too loud, protests were bothersome, pride parades were sinful, gays werent considered people, music after 12 wasnt allowed, Eurovision was something too embarrassing for our country to take place in, alcohol was a luxury that only the desperate & sinful tried to buy, women were not obedient enough, the legal age to get married was too high, sex before marriage became a big topic, rapists and murderers would walk freely, femicide got to a brand new high and a whole lot more.

This all happened slowly and gradually. By the time we thought to speak up on any of this the i-don’t-even know, 60% yearly inflation rate had worn us down. A dollar was no longer 2.5 TL, it was close to 25. Nothing could be bought with minimum wage. Whatever you bought, you bought a second one for the govt in tax (a phone here costs twice the price of one in america). People who vote for him mostly do so because all media outlets are heavily censored and totally in his favor. He has control of literally everything. Literally!! He hosted a referendum where he legally was given so much power that he can change whatever he wants on a whim. He will confidently lie out of his teeth and tell his supporters that the reason everything is so expensive is because of his opposition (who have virtually no power) + its fine because even if we’re poor we’re closer to god and his supporters eat it up because they have some fucked up parasocial relationship with him.

Right now we’re screwed beyond belief. The election was rigged in his favor but despite everything he either wasnt able to end it on the first round or intentionally didnt so he could win by a higher margin on the next round. The house is fucked, the opposition lost a ton of seats to highly religious islamic fanatics who straight up advocate for sharia law. That and the president literally had an alliance with a terrorist organization who want 15 year olds to get married, theyre also in the house. Its great.

Now we wait for the 28th, but its going to take a miracle for Erdogan to lose. I have virtually 0 hope at this point. One thing is foreigners defending him, but any turk who does so deserve everything they get. I truly hope anyone who voted for him suffer a fate worse than death (at this rate, they will). It may sound harsh, but ive seen no one in power except for this absolute sorry of an excuse, cunt of a man. My teens and childhood was wasted away with terrorist attacks and a staged coup, along with a power hungry man who made every walking day of my life worse than what it could have been.

Basically, wish us the best of luck i guess lol.

bruh thats literally how i feel about so many hobbies and interests yes we have to have some type of talent to make it in this world but i think the way its pushed on society from a young age means its less relstsble for people who are now older. with all these younger groups what am i supposed to be "attached" to the members about yes some of them are going to be attractive but im 30 this year. music groups, brand items, even classes for learning new skills have become so out of touch with reality it seems to forget theres a bunch of people who cannot access them for varying reasons. take ticket prices for example or merch for anyone to enjoy kpop or any music group it is investment to the extreme.

where im from if i were to want to see ateez for example, id have to travel 4 hours by train to london which cost over £100, book a ticket that cost £300/400 bc you dont want the crappy seats then you need hotel, travel fees to get to arena, then youll want merch and you still need money to get back home. so im sorry to any new group even if theyre decent but us older music fans are going to get left behind eventually as most things are about gen alpha or whatever the fuck theyre calling the new gens.

so much stuff really isnt worth it unless you can afford it :/. thats y less is more, seventeen for example way too many members how they all going to get paid if they converts costing half someones wages?

i get these kids need an income of some kind and they have talent ngl but when we gonna say enough is enough. i even looked at the likes of greenday and maneskin but im not forking out that much to go enjoy some music. just listen to it for free on youtube or watch their concert from someone elses videos. its practically the same type of experience u just arent there physically at the concert lmfao. same with buying items do we really gotta have all the latest junk bc its relevant? no. if i could barely manage the 00s without uggs i can do without a stanley mug or lululemon bum bag.

Honestly, exactly. And even in my generation (Gen Z), most of the people I know don't really have those things or can participate in them. Like, concert tickets are so fucking expensive, and I get it, the artists are in high demand and they need to staff the stadiums and fly them out and all that shit. But it's just that most people can't afford them nowadays. However, I can admit I do know OF people who could fly from Cali to New York just for an idol's concert. And with Seventeen, most of their money comes from music sales I believe, and there are other factors contributing a lot to their pay. Honestly, I agree with you. The idols have to make income, because again, at the end of the day it's their job, and I'm sure a lot of people who like going to concerts can afford it. That's their prerogative.

But like you said, hobbies are getting so expensive nowadays. Like there are people spending thousands just because they want to win a fan call with an idol, or people spending thousands on albums just to get photocards. Of course, those things aren't exactly the norm, and most people don't do that, but it's still just wild.

man i am so exhausted. mentally. today d was at work but it was the afternoon, i had a nice time and washed my hair as well! i start work on thursday whichi m nervous/annoyed about. i wanted to win lotto today so i wouldnt have to deal with that. my last chance is tomorrow ahhh. i am just tired and it seems like nothing i do will progress me further in life. i am stuck living in this house, stuck doing stupid meaningless jobs. stuck not being able to write because my mother stifles my imagination and creativity and when shes not around my poor brain and body is trying to catch up and heal itself. all i need is to get out of here and i feel like i will be so much better mentally. im sick of having to be here and put up with this all. i mean im 32! 3 fucking 2! i wish i had the time and money to be able to have my own apartment, id work out in the morning have a nice fresh breakfast, prep my dinner/lunch, watch some tv and then write. i dont know i just wish i could. its so hard though like you have to have a fucking job and then i cant even get any freaking rentals because there are NONE and if i wanted to do a par time job and live i wouldnt be able to because anything is over $450. anything below is just a complete shit hole or not available to me. its like my life has been one big joke laughing at me all the time. i finally had the opportunity to move out and hten its like no once in a lifetime rental shortage including rental prices extraordinarily high. so i cant afford it anyway if i want to have any chance at a life. its pathetic.

tomorrow is my last day of freedom before i start my new job... hopefully iwin set for life. anyway of course on my last day t wants me to drive him to work or something because his van is broken. so i cant even fully relax or relax at all because by the time i drop bitch d off i have tohten also drop t off and hten come home and eat and whatever. i just hope that thursday is okay if i dont win lotto haha because theres always a chacne i could win and not have to go! anyway. i hope the people are nice and that the job isnt as daunting as i expect and that i am ok and my tummy doesnt make any stupid noises and that im not too hairy and i feel ok and that i dont feel nervous. in the scheme of things i need to just remind myself who gives a fuck its not like its a job i want 10000% or am dreaming of. it just fell into my lap at a time i needed it and worked. im ok and im strong and i can take any bs that people throw my way but i just hope its easy and nice and by easy i mean i hope i dont feel intimidated or scared and i hope i can be the confident person i have been recently. the most frustrating thing i think will be the fact that i have to think of things to say... what did i do on the weekend, haha ugh whatever. i dont care anyway. BUUUUUUUUT yeah heres hoping i get a bunch of money to myself tomorrow.

im entertaining a pro baseball au with bkdk on rival teams (one a former champ and the other a new powerhouse who had arrived on the field), set up by the media as each other's nemesis, until izuku got traded to katsuki's team and now they're force to work together and win a champ with this riff raff baseball team that had never gotten very far.

they're childhood friends. izuku grew up in katsuki's shadow—who is hailed as a prodigy, a one of a kind pitcher that come only every few gens but katsuki worked super hard to get where he is. izuku is actual the real genius but it's overshadowed by his insecurities and lack of confidence . so while katsuki shines ever brightly in the spotlight, he never forget that izuku is the only one to hit his fastest pitch and he got a mind like a machine that steer katsuki's pitching right into in glove every time because worse than getting a hit off Katsuki's pitch, he's a catcher who make katsuki feels invincible. Undefeated.

in their younger years they were a battery pair that dominated the lil league until Katsuki's warped superiority/inferiority complex broke them up because he was terrified that izuku would outshine him one day, ppl would start to see Izuku's brilliance, and that he wont need katsuki anymore. he left izuku for the bigger and better stage while izuku floundered helplessly wit out him thinking he wasnt good enough for katsuki. he dreams of being in the pro league with kacchan; it was both of their dreams to follow their idol--All Might, the no. 1 baseball player in Japan—to the biggest stage of their life. they were supposed to go pro together but katsuki went first and then racked up champions and champions with an all-star team as their starting pitcher, while izuku watched katsuki shut down the other team from his couch.

he thought that should have been him out there with kacchan so he trained everyday, dumping all his money into those batting cages because even if he got no team izuku still dreams. If he can’t have katsuki as his pitcher than he’ll do the next best thing, face against him as a batter. Changing position is not an easy choice to make, while izuku may be genius (though you wouldn’t know it by the way he’s shyly steps up to the plate) but even better than that he’s a hardworker. it's there that all might found him, discovered this diamond in the rough and took him under his wings because izuku was always meant something bigger than this cage. with all might's help izuku gets better enough to be scouted in an mid level pro team and it's there he get to stand on the same stage as katsuki even if they're on diff teams. katsuki's team may be a championship team with all its accolades so far but izuku is izuku. he's always beaten the odds; it's in him.

the 1st season izuku entered the pro, his team finally made it into the playoffs in many years but was knocked out by 1st seed team--Katsuki's team. it was a bitter feeling but to stare katsuki down on the pitch and getting a hit off of him like back in the old days felt amazingly good. katsuki had won against izuku and his team but it wasnt a total shut out either. in the last game izuku managed to to hit 2 home run off of katsuki's fastball and that's 2 too many. izuku is terribly awkward and shy in front of the media but when he step on that plate--he's mean and vicious. Eyes on the prize and the gauntlet is thrown. To chase a victory is in his blood as much as katsuki’s.

katsuki may have won but he felt like he lost the fucking war because izuku is here in front of him now and he cant get rid of him even if he want to. they were bound by some fucked up twisted fate that kept them tied together and meet like this once more. with that 1 series, izuku secured his place as katsuki's rival as the only handful of batters who can get a homerun on katsuki. in the next season, izuku made the playoffs again and lost to katsuki AGAIN but this time it was a hard fought fight that could go either way as the entire nation watched with bated breath. izuku and katsuki's team clashing was the most hype series in the playoffs even more than the grand finals. even their regular season games were watched by so many ppl. they were both stars of the their respective teams and they have a history so THE MEDIA ATE IT UP.

in izuku 3rd season, at the playoff once more he finally at last knocked katsuki off his perched in front of a stunned crowd and a glowering katsuki. they would eventually go to win the championship but nobody can forget that rainy long day when katsuki and izuku met up against each other on the field that last so long it felt like an entire year had passed between them. the grand finals was great between izuku’s team and another ace but it was the bitter, hard fought semi-finals battle between katsuki and izuku’s team that was etched into everyone’s memory.

that lost cut katsuki deeply. it was his first time not making it to the finals and to see izuku winning it all was such a bitter feeling. he started to slipped as his obsession with beating izuku grew. his pitching became erratic and uncontrollable. his pitching staff and catcher doesnt know how to fix him. it all came to a head when he had to face izuku again in the regular season and ofc izuku knew right away something was off with him. katsuki's team lost that match up and after the game, izuku reached out with concern.

"it's your shoulder isnt it?" he asked as though he didn't already know.

katsuki rebuked him right away, but it burned in him that even with all these ppl surrounding him it's only izuku who noticed that his shoulder was the source of the problem. izuku knew him better than anyone even now. katsuki eventually had to tell the staff that he blew his shoulder in the offseason while training and it didnt heal right. so he was benched to recover but even when he did... it was like he wasnt ever the same again. his pitching was off, lacking its usual explosive speed and power.

his team started to use him less and less and they didnt even make it to the payoffs in DECADES. the loyal and fanatic fanbase turned against their star even tho it wasnt Katsuki's fault, pushing to trade him out for a better, newer, and younger pitcher as though there were anyone better than him but katsuki was considered old news and izuku was the new face of the league as he won a back to back championship and mvp title. so katsuki himself pushed to be traded off to another team so he can start over and prove to his doubters than be can reach to the top with ANY TEAM.

they send him to the bottom of the league--U.A. a team of troublemaker players who are all talented but eccentric enough that they cant fit anywhere else. with this new team who finds katsuki's abrasiveness interesting rather than annoyance or something they have to put up with, they start to make a sort of family out of these misfits and katsuki slowly learns to rely on his teammates and not take on the world just by himself because he may stand alone on that mound but his team got his back to make sure he would never fall. they're good for him and hes good for them!!

though they still have much to learn about each other, but they managed to beat some of the top teams in the regular season with their sheer guts. even tho they didnt make it to the playoffs this season, katsuki didnt feel bitter at all he knows there's a next year and a next year. There’s hope still for them. they’re growing and improving with each win/loss. Losing DOESN’T FEEL LIKE A PERSONAL BETRAYAL ANYMORE. It’s a measure of one’s growth.

Izuku's team consistently outperformed everyone now that katsuki isnt posed as his rival because he's in a diff league (west vs east) now so they rarely meet up in the regular season but izuku misses that edge, that feeling of being cut by Katsuki's fastball, and to stand on same the field with katsuki but more than anything he wants catch Katsuki's pitch, to be a battery again with KATSUKI so TO THE SHOCK OF THE ENTIRE WORLD izuku didnt renew his contract with his 3x championship team but chose to sign up with U.A. at a heavily discounted price because he wants to win WITH katsuki!!

the thing is he'd been following katsuki all his life. katsuki was the one who taught him baseball, followed him into the lil league, middle school, high school, the pro, and then followed in his footsteps to take the champ, so it should be no surprise that he would eventually follow katsuki to his new team.

"aren't you tired of being in bakugou's shadow?" his general manager asks. "dont you want to stand separate from him? with us you can go so far, midoriya."

izuku shakes his head. "im not in katsuki's shadow. he's paving the way and telling me to hurry up and come to him."

it's always the case with them. katsuki runs and izuku gives chase, but somewhere along the way they both have to stop. U.A. is that destination and the day izuku arrives on u.a.'s homestand he feels it in air--the electricity, the tension, and new beginning.

katsuki's eyes are wide as he spots izuku standing on the field of his team. anger and bitterness flickers hot and heavy in his chest. he storms over to izuku and demands to know wtf is he doing here DOESN'T HE KNOW THIS IS KATSUKI'S TEAM? but izuku just smile, sweet and soft.

"i'm here to be your new catcher," izuku informs him, rocking happily back and forth on his heels.

katsuki bristles. "not happening," he hisses.

Izuku raises his brow. "why dont you try me out first then." he quirks the corner of his lips up in amusement. "or are you afraid?"

katsuki eyes narrow because izuku knows him. KNOWS WHERE AND HOW TO PUSH THEM. it's like back in the playoffs again when they're facing each other. katsuki can read him just as easily izuku can too and it made their battle exhilarating, like dancing on the edge of a blade but sometimes he wonder what if it would be like not to have izuku's blade pointed at him but have him at his back instead. he should know because they were that once. together as one and it was a pairing unlike any other. no other catcher clicked the way izuku had and to have that again.

Katsuki grits his his teeth and nods. "get your gear," he says, "and i'll show you who is the one you should be afraid of."

izuku is an excellent batter. strong grip, good shoulder and arm, and there's power behind his swing, but he's an even better catcher.

he got good eyes to see ppl's move before they even do it. it's how he was able to shut down other pitchers as a batter because he read them all like a book, spending hours going over their specialize pitches and habits but he has never find a pitcher that pitch the way he wants them to. only katsuki gives it to him because katsuki holds no barred when he throw, he puts everything on the line and izuku wants that. he earnestly wants to receive all of katsuki's feelings. like he had in their past. izuku steps back as he watches katsuki gets on the mound.

it feels so right to crouch down, his gloved hand forward to receive katsuki's balls, and the fire of katsuki's eyes on him the entire time.

"give me everything you got. your best yet," he orders over the field.

katsuki snarls. "shut the fuck up," he says, and throws.

the balls slide right into izuku's glove like the turn of a key, the fit of a jigsaw puzzle, like a pitcher and their catcher. perfect just like izuku's imagine it to be. the impact of it knocks izuku back but the ball is right in his glove. right where izuku wants him to throw.

izuku gets up and throws his gear to the ground as he races up toward the mound. he laughs because THIS FEELS GOOD, BETTER THEN WINNING THE CHAMPIONSHIP ALONE BECAUSE NOW THEY'RE GOING TO WIN THIS TOGETHER AND HE KNOWS IT. CAN SEE IT IN KATSUKI'S PITCH, CAN FEEL IT THE BALL IN HIS GLOVE

"that was beautiful kacchan! i knew you can do it because with you here with me, we can do anything, even conquer this entire world," he declares with a certainty that startles even katsuki. he's grinning so wide and proud like katsuki's pitch was made for him and--

katsuki reaches out and pulls him into a forceful kiss because he looks so beautiful it hurts to watch, because in the end it was always about them. deku. Izuku. he has been waiting for a long, long time for izuku to get here. to stand on the same field as him and to have izuku catch his pitch. even when they fought each other in the regular seasons and the playoffs, where one side always win and the other always lose, he thought one day they would both share the same fate, same side and katsuki and izuku will taste victory together. they can, and now they will.

Completely unrelated to any fandom or gay stuff but I just need to rant.

Portugal has been turning into a place of interest for tourists. It's a beautiful country and with ridiculous low prices compared to other European countries. So, I get why everyone wants to come here for vacation.

Problem with this is that Portugal is cheap because the minimum wage in Portugal is the lowest in Europe. We currently have minimum wage of 600€ a month, so up until recently, life in Portugal was adapted to this kind of wage.

With the high rise in tourism in Portugal recently, things have started to change. Landlords have been taking advantage of this and in just this past year rents have skyrocketed.

Homeowners have been selling their houses and the few people who still rent, rent to ridiculous prices. You can't find a 1 bedroom for less than 500€, you can't find a 2 bedroom for less than 650€ and as I have mentioned before, our minimum wage is 600€.

I am one of the many people in crisis right now. My landlord is wanting to sell the house I live at right now and I need to leave by the end of the year. I have been house hunting for the past 4 months and still nothing.

Me and my mom have gone for houses way above our affordable price range and we actually have the "advantage" that my dad is an emigrant in France and he helps us a lot financially.

My mom has a stable job but she only earns the minimum wage. I am a college student and unfortunately my college does not allow the time for me to actually work outside of college, so I pay for my tuition with Financial Aid. My dad is our saving grace.

We have gone out for several houses within the 500€ to 650€ range which is our absolute limit and we still haven't been able to rent one because of the absolute ridiculous demands the landlords are asking for.

Before, to rent a house you needed one month rent + one month caution + guarantor to be the fail safe for the landlord + IRS declaration. Now they are asking for one month rent + 2 or 3 months of caution + guarantor + IRS of the family AND the guarantor + bank statements of the 31st of December + national bank declaration to prove we don't owe anything to the bank.

Me and my mom have just succumb to all the demands but even when we are willing to pay over 2000€ upfront, now the problem comes from the landlords not liking the fact that my dad works in France.

My dad is not in France because he likes it there, believe me. He is there because Portugal's financial crisis dug a whole so deep into our population that many people had no other choice but to leave to be able to support their families. I grew up without my dad beside because Portugal was more concerned with building roads than they were with helping their people stay in their country with their families. Anyway, I am getting side tracked here.

Point is, there is no way to win here and I am on a verge of breaking down. I dont know what else to do here.

And no, this isnt a post to get people to help me financially because, unfortunately, that wouldn't help with the problem I am having.

Rents have skyrocketed while the minimum wage is still the same. Landlords are demanding more than people can give. And now me and many others are about to be homeless because landlords saw an opportunity for the tourism market and to get rich retired folks to move to Portugal while everyone that already lives here gets left behind.

Me and my mom have considered moving with my dad to France even if that meant living all my family behind, but I have 1 year and half left of college and I can't move without finishing college. So basically, until I finish my degree I am stuck here and I don't know what to do.

a few signings i want for bayern

hello everyone i decided to write a long rambling post analysing some of the signings i want for bayern which some people might be interested in??? also looking to do a few posts about the signings we already have and some we’re linked to.

DREAM SIGNING MUST HAPPEN AT ALL COSTS WOULD DIE FOR IT- LEROY SANE:

my man leroy is only 23 years old and he is one of the best wingers in the world- scratch that, he probably is the best winger in the world. left-footed, with brilliant numbers and output, established at the top, top level (won a domestic treble with manchester city). he only played 56% of minutes this season in the PL while still getting 10 goals and 10 assists!!! he is a great crosser which is extremely important (you hear that king?), non-injury prone (A NON-INJURY PRONE WINGER) and is devastating on the left and right, but most importantly is his ability to play on the left as all of our four attacking players are right footed. he would freshen up the attack to no ends.

if anyone thinks this signing shouldn’t happen they are deluding themselves. there is absolutely no reason why we shouldn’t splash out the cash on him. his signing would secure an german winger duo which could last us for so long. it could be the next big thing. something to fill the gaping void of robbery. my god it HAS to happen.w ith leroy we would be champions league contenders nodoubt.

another dream signing which we can wait for at least a year:

kai havertz. yes everyone knows him. something something bravertz something. but on a pure footballing level, the teenager has been an absolute shock and has shown unbelievbale form this season (he was also very good last season). he’s scored 17 goals in the bundesliga this season, with 7 assists in both europa and bundesliga.

he plays in a more advanced role- RW or CAM, to be particular. he is another left-footed player which adds even more depth to our attack if we get leroy too. and now, for those (including i) who would die for thomas at SS, fear not- my man kai isnt another james- he has played 10 games at RW, and has scored 8 goals and assisted 1! this means they can coexist on the pitch unlike a certain colombian midfielder.

kai is brilliant at finishing, his dribbling is straight out of porn, his left foot is almost as much as a cannon as arjen robben’s, his technique is ridiculous for a teenager and he even likes cutting in on the left (which is good because kimmich can get higher up). he is also very fast.

the only problem i see associated with the signing is the price tag- pretty big for a teenager- and the lack of CL football. this is why i think we can wait a year- let kai experience CL football, then scoop him up next year where he has an extra year of high-tier and international football under his belt. perfect signing. him and leroy also make the team more german, which i see as an absolute win.

a solid overall signing which could add squad depth and help us in the future:

niklas stark is primarily a centreback BUT many people see his future as being a DM. we’ve been looking for a javi replacement for a while and stark could end up being just that, and a brilliant purchase- his profile now is similar to javi’s when he was at athletic bilbao (javi was also a CB). they have a similar skillset and everything- and stark is german! more germans are always welcome!

his passing rate is really nice (47 passes a game at a pass completion rate of 84%) and he is particularly good with the long balls (2.5) , which has been proven to be really valuable to us in our attack, which is something that sets him aside from javi whose passing can sometimes disrupt the flow of the offense. he is also built like a fucking skyscraper, jesus the man is huge.

the only problem is that hertha is not a great team and doesnt have much european experience. also we dont know for sure if he’d end up being a great defensive midfielder yet. but it’s a gamble id be willing to take, just look at what javi ended up being.

We run for our lives. "Get them. Come on Danna, there is so much to learn." Ashley says taking Danna away. Carly and Tanya chase us. We make it to my car in time. "Get in! Get in!" I yell. Everybody is in and I drive. We lose Carly and Tanya in time, I hope they lost our scents. We arrive at my house. We sit in the back of my van so Carly and Tanya can't find us at the house. "Okay first off... WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST WITNESS?!" Bryce yells. "I'm sorry I didnt mean to get you into this Bryce, Tommy you too, God what am I gonna do?!" I say putting my hands in my face. "Were gonna have to go save your dad.. and Danna." Tommy says. "Yeah but how?" I ask. "Maybe you should make you're own pack." Bryce suggests. "Yeah. I'd have to be a true alpha for that to happen." I say. "So why not make yourself one, why dont you ask Scott how he did it." Tommy suggests. "Let me make a phone call." I say. An hour later I hear a knock on the car door. I smile. "Godfather!" I say hugging Scott Mccall. "I came as soon as you told me. So this Ashley person has Derek?" Scott asks. "Yes.. oh by the way this is my friend Bryce and my boy.... boy.....my friend Tommy." I say stuttering. "Hey. " "Hi." They both say. Scott smiles and waves. "Listen I dont know if Derek has said anything but did he tell you I'm on the verge of becoming a true alpha?" I ask. "What? No way! I haven't heard of another true alpha in years." Scott says. "Well, how does one become one?" I ask. "Well if you haven't killed anyone and are only using you're wolf abilities for good, you can turn into one. For me I went through mountain ash and pretty much became one, but there are other ways to do it." Scott explains. "Well I dont know where to get mountain ash so what are the other options?" I ask. "Well another way involves sacrificing yourself, sometimes it does work but it can also kill you, you have to do some kind of good deed before it happens." Scott says. "Well I'm fucked." I simply say. Everyone gasps. "Listen you're a Hale, Hale's dont give up. When we get beaten down we stand back up and fight." Scott says. I smile. "Feels like something my dad should be saying to me, but you really are a great alpha." I say giving him a thank you hug. "Listen I will be around to help, if you need anything me and pack or as I say my friends will be around, a true leader will figure out the solution in no time." Scott says getting out of the van. "He was very inspirational, I know I'm new to this but all of this is just fascinating." Bryce admits. "I know what I have to do." I finally come to terms. "What?" Tommy asks. "I have to give myself to them but maybe we can ambush them!" I say. "How are you going to do that with 2 humans?" Tommy asks. I sigh. "Shit. I can't put you guys in danger." I say in defeat. "What about Brendan?" Tommy asks. "He could be of insistence." I say rubbing my chin. "Listen it's almost dark, maybe we should get some rest and figure it out in the morning how about a camp out!" Bryce suggests. Tommy shrugs his shoulders. "I'm down." He says. I peek out the window to make sure the coast is clear. I run inside quickly and grab some food, blankets and pillows. I text Brendan to let him know what's going on. That night I stay up thinking and preparing for how I am going to get out of this mess... More to come
