Togashi Yoshihiro Chronicle (2022-2023)

This 8-volume edition was released bi-weekly (every two weeks) by Jump Remix to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of Yoshihiro Togashi as a manga artist. It covers the four Togashi's series released in the Weekly Shounen Jump:

Ten de Shouwaru Cupid (selected chapters)

Yu Yu Hakusho ~ Dark Tournament Arc (chapters 52 to 112)

Level E (chapters 1 to 16)

Hunter x Hunter ~ Greed Island Arc (chapters 120 to 185)

According to JUMP REMIX, the idea is that you connect all eight volumes in chronological order, from Cupid (1989) to HxH (1998-2023). The little drawings of the characters on the covers were also designed to connect.

I think my favorite way any of my teachers ever accidentally outed weeaboos was when I was studying Egyptology and we were studying the IVth Dynasty's tumbs&temples architecture and got to the pyramid that might be a certain Prince Baka's.

- PUZZLE - Yoshihiro Togashi Exhibition

It's not only Yu Yu Hakusho that is celebrating its 30th anniversary, Togashi is also celebrating his 35th anniversary as a manga artist. He debuted in the Weekly Shounen Jump Winter Special 1988 (December 1987) with the one-shot "Tonda's Birthday Present". To commemorate this incredible year, an original art exhibition entitled "PUZZLE" with more than 350 rare original drawings will be held.

Period: from October 28, 2022 (Friday) to January 9, 2023 (Monday, holiday)

Location: Mori Arts Center Gallery (Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, 52nd F, Tokyo). It's the same place where the "Shounen Jump 50th Anniversary Exhibition" was held. The exhibition will also take place in Osaka and Fukuoka.

Ok, this is a leak and the exhibition will be officially announced in the next issue of the Weekly Shounen Jump, but ... I'm already in love with the Yu Yu Hakusho characters in Togashi's current art style!

Yusuke is in the center of the image as the big protagonist, Kuwabara - the man is ready to swing his sword, Kurama is wearing a cool and new combat outfit, Hiei is cute with a smiley face and small dragon in his hands, Koenma behind Botan is hilarious, and I don't know what is happening with Elder Toguro lol.

I'm trying to understand what Hisoka is wearing. It seems like a keylock, is it a penis chastity device? 😂

I love the fact Prince Baka and Captain Kraft from Level E were included!

Hopefully, he will also draw other new illustrations to this big event!
