Gotta give a nice warm welcome on a cold day like today to the new addition. Everything went smooth loading her up and bringing her home. I can’t wait to get started! Not everybody would want to move this car in winter but I would. The best thing too with all of this is that she is loaded with spare parts. It’s just rare to find a complete car, much less find one with spare parts. If you guys have questions or want to share experience with with working in these kind of cars feel free to leave a comment. Be sure to follow and watch at http://www.youtube.com/@schroyerfamilydaily7333 for all the work that is going into this project. Thanks for reading!
If I did have enough money I would do several things but one would be finish trickin’ out my ‘65. She’s come a long way from what she was and she ain’t bad at all. Just need a few more upgrades and fixes and she’d be set. But such is the life of a gear head.
not mcyt related but here’s a car pinup i did for my little brothers birthday this week!! him and i both love our project cars to bits (literally) so i wanted to share the love and put together this poster for him. say hi to his Spider, Marco :3
We've been working on disassembling a 1973 fiat 124 spider to rebuild it into something fun and drivable, and I've been learning a lot along the way
We started by removing the hood and trunk, to get to the engine and (cracked) fuel tank
And then because we dont have a hoist nor an engine stand, we removed the engine bit by bit
Removed the engine head and block, drive train, as well as transmission~
And last night I removed the brakes 90% by myself!
I'm really proud of how much work we've gotten done in like 2 weeks (collectively) and I'm really getting a good grasp on car stuff that I never really knew or cared to learn before this project!
We have a ways to go (obviously) but I'm really happy with our progress and I am excited to do more work on it next weekend as more parts arrive~
What we can't find, we are going to fabricate. My FIL has a lot of both car and welding/sheetmetal experience, so nearly everything we need to fabricate will be done here rather than through a service. P much only need a local engine vatting place~
