WIP Tag Game

I don't have much because I write one work at the time ( I learned my lesson years ago, with blood and tears 😂). That way I can focus on just one story until I finish it.

The only WIPs I couldn't take back again (for now) are part of a trilogy, they are:

1) LEGEND II: The Hymn of the Condemned.

2) LEGEND III: The Court of the Guardians.

And then my current Boys Love Showbiz light novel (I pretend to finish tonight, yay!)

CURRENTLY LISTENING TO: my own DEREK HALE SPOTIFY PLAYLIST (which you can find HERE) bc it's dope xp

CURRENTLY WATCHING: just watched vol. 1 of THE WITCHER S3. twice, lol. then i watched quite a few horror films over the last few days, ones i've been meaning to watch for ages. i'm now thinking i'll probs start the TV series EVIL next.

CURRENTLY READING: about seven hundred novels and a million fics, some of which i named in the recent version i did of this. very eager to read @poebin's sterek fic IT TOOK NEW YORK TO MAKE ME A COWBOY though (which has been on my list for ages) so i might start that later today—i can then follow it up with @greyhavenisback's associated fic FIRE AND WATER which is all very exciting!

CURRENT OBSESSION: omfg only the fact that MY MATE HAS BEEN GIVEN FREE TICKETS TO SEE JAMES ON THEIR LIVE FULL ORCHESTRA TOUR AND HAS INVITED ME ALONG!! honestly though, i'm mega anxious about it bc i'm disabled and the gig is not in my city and at a venue i don't know anything about yet and it's going to be a very long outing for me and my autism struggles with big crowds these days now i don't drink lol and i don't want to negatively impact my friend's experience with these things and i know i'm going to sob my fucking heart out from start to finish bc live orchestra with a band i've loved as a kid and a teen and an adult and and and etc. but STILL! so excited... also, WRITING POETRY which is not a new obsession by any means but i've been on a bit of a roll recently, which is nice. my poetry blog is @the-liminal-place and THIS is my latest piece if you even care lol... oh! alsoalso THE RAIN (which is actually my forever obsession) bc the heavens have just opened where i am and it has such a calming effect for me and is making me very happy. i've thrown open all the windows and my front door to be able to hear it in all its glory!

What Goes Around Don't Come Around (or Maybe It Does) by @rauko-creates

I always appreciate Rauko's way with words and it was probably the best way to introduce myself to Drowley fanfic. "Crowley deserved to be loved" is the summary and I agree.

This fic has a lot of fun twists and turns and fluff, even dealing with a serious matter like kidnapping. I had a lot of fun reading this!

This series has been nominated before (and not that long ago) but I just discovered it and I love the way the Reader and her daughter are interwoven in the arcs of two very different seasons of the show.

The Hero, The Myth, The Legend by @dean-winchester-is-a-warrior

I have so many feelings about this fic. Some of my favorite Dean traits are lovingly explored here: empathy, compassion, protective nature, enthusiastic embrace of healthy casual sex between consenting adults, open discussion of trauma. The Reader is a bold and well-developed character herself, and the descriptions of each of their behaviors and feelings are so vivid and engaging. This is a fic I will read and re-read in the coming years.

Rauko is an author/artist who somehow managed to not discover that fandom was a thing that could be participated in and shared until their late 20s when they discovered the Spn fandom, but it could be argued they've been writing DBZ/Tolkien crossovers since they were 8 (argued, this will NEVER be proven lol).

They helped form this bang for the purely selfish reasons of needing to put Dean and Cas in silly little anime outfits. They're Dean-coded that way.

1. ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? No, but my name is SUPER common in the country where I was born. It’s like “Sarah Smith” (both first and last name); and it always makes me giggle when people say it's unique and exotic here in the US.

2. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED? Happy tears of joy driving home last night because of some really good things happening recently.

3. DO YOU HAVE KIDS? Yup, one!

4. DO YOU USE SARCASM? It uses me.

5. WHAT'S THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT SOMEONE? Their energy. Idk if that makes sense at all but people tend to give off a vibe for me no matter what they say or how they act. My gut sort of gives me the go-ahead for folks most of the time (or the opposite of that).

6. WHAT'S YOUR EYE COLOUR? Blue

7. SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS? Happy endings!!! I’m a pansy ab scary movies (though I will say I have recently begun to appreciate the way they tend to pull me out of a super anxious or really stressed out state by putting me in...a different super anxious and really stressed out state but ab people who aren’t me xD

ANY SPECIAL TALENTS? “This is like that question in groups when people say "tell us something interesting about yourself" and suddenly I've never met me before.” @rauko-is-a-free-elf your answer made me laugh super hard bc my go-to ‘interesting fact’ is that I have a dent in my head which is the most not normal response to that type of question. Gonna use that as my talent.

10. WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES? Running, writing, reading, cooking, sometimes drawing badly w a pencil, live-tweeting my favorite shows, thinking about Dean Winchester. Are cons a hobby? If so, cons.

One World, Two Planes of Existence  

Gather around, young souls, and let me weave a tale that will stir the depths of your spirits. Behold, the saga of Atani Palurin and Rauko Palurin, lands forged by the divine hands of The All Great One.

Once, these lands were kept apart by an impenetrable barrier, a veil that denied passage even to the most skilled wielders of magic. It was a separation that held sway over the inhabitants, an enigma that whispered of mystery and forbidden secrets.

In this realm, The All Great One sculpted two twin goddesses, Shayla and Sai, each destined to reign over their respective dominions. Shayla, the paragon of benevolence, held the throne of Rauko, her gentle sway ensnaring the hearts of dragons, vampires, and elven folk. Sai, the harbinger of chaos, resided in Atani, where humans, wereanimals, and demons paid homage to her capricious whims.

To avert the clash between these divine siblings, The All Great One cast a formidable barrier, a shield that sealed the goddesses and their followers from crossing into one another's realm. But as time passed, the omnipotent presence of The All Great One waned, weakening the very fabric of this ethereal wall.

As the barrier's strength waned, the long-separated sisters caught sight of each other once more. The fears that haunted The All Great One's heart became manifest as the goddesses clashed, their celestial fury igniting a cataclysmic war. Years turned to decades as the battlefield ran red with the spilled blood of their followers, until the fateful day when they vanished without a trace, leaving behind a shattered barrier and five portals that bridged the realms.

Two hundred years have since stained the annals of history, and yet the brutal symphony of carnage continues to echo through the land. This world has become a savage playground where survival is etched in the code of existence, where the choices are stark: kill or be killed.

1. ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? kind of. my middle name was the name of my dad's first partner (who was also my mum's good friend) who died. my mum and dad then ended up getting together after becoming close in their shared grief.

2. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED? about 4 minutes ago when i read something that moved me. i cry everyday, sometimes more than once. i'm highly emotional and there are always so many things around that can make me happy/sad/passionate/angry/moved etc.

3. DO YOU HAVE KIDS? yes, two, and they're amazing xp

4. DO YOU USE SARCASM? oH nO, nEveR! i don't usually tend to use it on here tbh, as when written it can be easily mistaken imo. but in meatspace? i'm so bad for it! i don't always understand when it's being used on me, though lol.

5. WHAT'S THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT SOMEONE? i think whether or not they have a spark? like, that certain twinkle in their eye that tells me that they get it, that they're aware of the fact we're in it together; this very weird journey we are all on that we collectively call life—if any of that makes any sense?

6. WHAT'S YOUR EYE COLOUR? blue-grey-green.

7. SCARY MOVIES OR HAPPY ENDINGS? scary movies! love me some horror. psychological and supernatural themes are my jam.

8. ANY SPECIAL TALENTS? i can play the william tell overture on my teeth with my fingernails, does that count?

9. WHERE WERE YOU BORN? blackpool, the UK's most famous seaside town. there was a murder-mystery musical TV show made about it staring david tennant! it's situated in the dreary north-west of england.

10. WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES? making art, reading and writing fiction and poetry, cinema, playing guitar/singing, making mixtapes, horror movies, getting obsessed over TV blorbos, looking at the inside of other people's houses on rightmove.com lol.

DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS? yes, four cats! two are pretty ferel tbh: an older all-black beauty and a tortoise shell rough'n'ready bruiser who only really come indoors to eat, or to sleep when it's raining outside. the other two are the complete opposite and are real homebodies, more often in—lounging around the place and demanding milk and treats—than out and about. one is black and white and an absolute whore for cuddles, the other is a tabby that everyone mistakes for a pure breed bc he looks like he is tbh, even tho he's a little 100% mongrel beastie! love them all.

12. WHAT SPORTS DO YOU PLAY/HAVE YOU PLAYED? none, now. i used to complete in running competitions as a kid but my body is now broken with hEDS so. no can do anymore.

13. HOW TALL ARE YOU? 5'2". short king.

14. FAVOURITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL? art and english.

15. DREAM JOB? would be something i'm good at and fully capable of within my many limitations, in a dream society that sadly doesn't exist.

Every night, Castiel dreams of him. 

He doesn’t know who he is—a figment of his imagination, maybe someone locked in his memories—but he’s always doing the same thing. Smiling at Castiel with a blinding, cheerful grin, as the sun catches the auburn of his hair. His mouth moves, but there’s no sound. He reaches for Castiel, green eyes sparkling with a joke Castiel doesn’t get, and Castiel reaches back. 

The dream always ends before he can touch him.

That night, Castiel wakes in the middle of the living room—one hand is pressed against the wall, the other tightly to his chest. His forehead rests against the chipped paint, his breath shallow and tight.

He had woken himself up to an incessant chant: “I hear you,” again and again, with a hollow ache resting on top of his ribs.

He steps away from the wall. Wiping the wet off his cheeks with the back of his sleeve, taking a shuddering breath, he turns to go back to bed.

do you want to read a destiel slow burn that's probably too slow and probably will actually burn where cas can't remember dean after losing his memories but dean CAN remember cas and it's eating him alive having to spend time with him and help cas find his memories especially as cas gets his memories back and still doesn't remember dean at all?? and there's case fics thrown in there that dean and cas go on together along with lots of UST?? with weekly chapter updates?? and there's a happy ending??
