Today I had the craziest dream. I was walking in the (urban) forest when the fumes of the cars on the Autobahn nearby must have affected my brain because all of a sudden I was seeing two Schwanzmeisen feeding EIGHT little fluffballs perched all together next to each other. 😍 Like in an Instagram post.

So, yeah, it was a dream, or I was intoxicated, or whatever. Because no way that scene was real.

I have no mouth and I must scream.

Ever since I was a child I have felt mute. Just looking at my old art, I would always draw others with a mouth, but never myself, because I knew that among all the voices in my life mine was the one that people cared about the least.

People hear my voice, but never listen to what I have to say. I thought things would improve as I got older, that people would be more willing to listen to me once I had experience, reason, and education to guide me, to make what I have to say actually worth their time. I was wrong. Now that I have education, I am even more likely to be dismissed; my opinions no longer come close to matching those of the people around me, and that is enough for them to ignore me. It doesn’t matter if I studied the subject for years, I still am not heard. I watch the world turn to violence and madness around me, and I am helpless to do anything about it. It feels like I cannot breath, like my mouth is fused shut. I want to scream, but who would hear my cry?

At this point the only time anyone even acknowledges what I have to say is when I communicate through FUCKING MEMES. THAT’S what I have been reduced to: people will only listen if I disguise my words with a MEME. The worst part is, IT WORKS. I have gotten people to LEGITIMATELY CHANGE THEIR OPINIONS BY PRESENTING THE FACTS AS A JOKE. Is that all I am, a fucking JOKE? doomed to spend the rest of my life communicating my pain and frustration in the form of “funny memes” on the internet? It almost feels worse than if they wouldn’t hear me that way either; it’s the final insult to spit on my injury, the exact measurement of how little people care about me.

perhaps this is just. perhaps what I have to say really doesn’t matter, and I’m just a raving lunatic. if that is truly the case, then it is good that nobody hears me. but I don’t believe that. I CAN’T believe that. There has to be SOMETHING of value I can contribute. There HAS to be.

Once I discussed about the ravings in LOTM with a friend. Since Antigonus was at the top of his Pathway as a half-Fool, the ravings 'Hornacis Fregrea' were because of him.

So, on the theory that ravings can be used as long-range communication (serious article):

I vote for long distance communication with ravings between pathways. The only flaws are that only the top of the pathway can send one-sided ravings to the other members of the pathway (can be corrected if the one making the ravings leaves his phone number (honorific name) at the end of the ravings to receive answers. However, in this case they would also need to create a network similar to the Tarot Club to let the low Sequence Beyonders talk to each other by passing by the top of the sequence).

Moreover, apart from the Great Old Ones, they can send and hear ravings for only one pathway—maybe except Amon who can create bugs (waiting for improvements to facilitate the communication with other pathways). Maybe everyone could know the honorific names of each person at the top of their pathway and ask the person on top of your friend’s pathway to pass a message to your friend).

Last problems, ravings can only be heard on the verge of a loss of control, an advancement or through a specific medium like Mr. Door and the crimson moon (so maybe set a specific time in the day for communication or another medium that can affect all beyonders). A disadvantage is also the great lack of privacy when you send a specific message but thousands of other people hear it. It is also unclear how ravings work exactly and are sent to the people of the pathway.

In other words, equality between all beyonders and ordinary people can create an internet network, with gods as the administrators. Waiting for further improvements to make this system more confidential and available to everyone, as well as more flexibility on the internet connection to hear the vocal message (ravings) in time.

In others words, ravings may not be adapted to long-range communication yet, but could at least be used for long-range announcements (if the impact on the mind can be tuned down a bit). That’s why I advise each god to start politics and spread their faith through ravings to the beyonders of their pathway.

So, in addition to the 'Based on your likes!' posts, which are as far removed from my actual likes as you could possibly get in the majority of cases (and I'm really not over-exaggerating here, I've taken some screenshots and am toying with the idea of making a collage), we now have 'Sponsored' posts, which are in effect people forcing their existence on me.

Every third post in my feed is pretty much now a post Tumblr thinks I'll like... but I don't, a sponsored post that the sponsor thinks I want to see... but I don't, or an ad that the advertiser thinks I want, and will dutifully buy their goods or services because of... but I don't.

I feel as if my online sanctuary is being violated, brick by electronic brick...

I think the best oblivion modern AU is one in which nothing is happening and martin is Just Some Guy. Adjunct professor whose shady cult past was being involved with some chaos magick hacker coven back in the 90s, then he had a Greek Orthodox phase but his heart wasn't in it. Instead of the Xarxes he is addicted to reading awful twitter takes. The HoK analogue cannot be trusted with a driver's license but Martin can, which gives him god-emperor-like powers, but he wields them fairly and generously. Drinks way too much coffee
