DAY-X IS NOW! Take action immediately: Together we #RiseUp4Rojava!

To all friends of Rojava, to the press and public:

On the night from the 19th to the 20th of November the turkish fascist state started a new operation against the liberated lands of Rojava, North-Eastern Syria and Southern Kurdistan. With a massive air-operation, the cities and regions of Kobane, Derik, Sehba, Minbic, Zirgan/Dirbesiye and Til Temir were bombed. In Southern Kurdistan, Gare and Qendil in the Medya Defence Zones were also bombed by turkish warplanes. The attacks are continuing right now and the fascist boss of the turkish regime, Erdogan, is threatening the region with destruction, extinction and murder to be able to stay in power and to win next years upcoming elections in Turkey. Since the beginning of this year, Rojava has been confronted with continuous attacks, while at the same time, in the mountains of Southern Kurdistan, the turkish army has been using chemical-gas on a daily basis against the resisting guerrilla. #WeSeeYourCrimes and we do not stay silent! The last attacks show another escalation on the ground and have to be understood as a preparation for another invasion. This why we say: “DayX is Now“ and we call on everybody to act according to that!

It has been more than a year now that we renewed our “DayX – Concept“ and according to that we called upon everybody to prepare for this day. For us it was always clear, that the DayX concept only works for certain scenarios, but what if the enemies of our struggle, what if the turkish state doesn’t act according to those scenarios? For more than 3 years now Rojava has been under attack on a daily basis: Drone and airstrikes, artillery shelling, local and regional offensives by the turkish-backed SNA, cutting off water, destroying infrastructure, through embargo and political isolation, etc. 2022 has especially been a year characterized by this. The international hegemonic powers, such as the USA and Russia, both have given a green light to Turkey to do whatever it wants to do. According to the reality on the ground in Rojava, we have come to the conclusion that continuing to wait for “DayX“ will throw us more and more into passivity and will make us not able to react as needed. We need to be very clear about this:Rojava is at war! Rojava is under attack!This is why we need to see thatDayX is Now!

We also see that at the same time that Rojava and Southern Kurdistan are being bombed massively, in Eastern Kurdistan (Rojhilat) and Iran, the crackdown on the people struggling in the streets has reached a new level and just like Turkey, Iran is also bombing Kurdistan. This situation once more shows the reality of the kurdish people and what they are confronted with once they demand a self-determined life. Everybody needs to understand that those who brought the slogan “Jin, Jiyan, Azadi“ to life, are the women of Rojava, are the guerrilla in the mountains of Kurdistan, are the people of Kurdistan! The struggle of the people on the streets in Rojhilat and Iran, the resistance of the guerrilla and the struggle of the people in Rojava is ONE and cannot be understood apart from each other!

For this reason, we call for everybody to get active immediately and take to the streets! Wherever you are in this world: Show your support for the people in Rojava!

As the RiseUp4Rojava campaign, the Internationalist Commune in Rojava, and Young Internationalist Women, we call for a worldwide mobilisation against the rising threat of a new large scale Turkish invasion of Northern Syria/Rojava.

In light of the developments of recent weeks, we hereby renew our Day X call of 2019, which was the basis for hundreds of thousands of people around the world to take to the streets on October 9, 2019, in response to the Turkish army’s attack against the cities of Serêkaniyê and Girê Spî, against the war, and in solidarity with the resistance. The war and the resistance have never stopped. Using a wide variety of means, the Turkish state has been continuously attacking the Freedom Movement in Kurdistan, both in the north/Turkey, in the south/Iraq and in northern Syria/Rojava. A “low intensity” and from time to time “high intensity” war is being waged against the movement and the people.

Now is the time to prepare ourselves, to mobilise, to fight together on the same front and to be aware of the acute danger! We have to see our struggles for freedom as connected and fight with a common spirit of resistance. As democratic forces worldwide, we must build a lasting political resistance that can prevent the collaboration with Turkish fascism in our countries.

For this, it is necessary to put the issue on the agenda everywhere and to take action NOW: in the streets, in media, in factories, companies, all work places, classrooms, etc. in our countries; then we can develop a common force against Turkey’s war plans.

If it comes to the Day X, the beginning of a new Turkish invasion, then: Let’s take the streets, make actions, occupy, disrupt and block! Together we defend the revolution and take the war back to the responsible places, profiteers, companies and governments!

October 13, London - Stop The Turkish Invasion. Rise Up 4 Rojava

On Sunday night Donald Trump gave Turkish president Erdogan the green light to invade north-east Syria. Run by a Kurdish-led administration on the principles of direct democracy, equality for all peoples, ecological justice, a cooperative economy and women’s liberation, it is the most peaceful and stable part of Syria. The movement leading the administration is the same movement that defeated ISIS with the assistance of the US-led international coalition. They now guard over 70,000 ISIS fighters, families and supporters, but with the minimal resources available conditions are desperate and the situation is fast becoming unsustainable. If the Turkish invasion happens it will be impossible. Following the removal of Kurdish mayors from Turkey’s Kurdish regions, and expanded invasion of areas under the Kurdistan Regional Government in northern Iraq, the Turkish state is looking to expand its racist anti-Kurdish war deeper into northern Syria. This follows the invasion, occupation and ethnic cleansing of Afrin in north-western Syria in January 2018, and puts at risk not only the peace established by the administration’s democratic system, but also the territorial defeat of the ISIS “caliphate”. The Turkish state is known to have bought oil and provided logistical support for ISIS, as well as incorporated ISIS militants in the mercenary forces used to occupy Afrin. The Turkish state cannot be trusted to properly guard or resolve this issue, and an occupation would put at risk not only Kurds but all the people of North-East Syria, including Arabs, Armenians, Chechens, Turkmen, Syriac, Assyrian and Khaldean Christians and Yezidi. So Trump’s green light will lead to a resurgence of ISIS, genocidal ethnic cleansing and a new refugee crisis. In the process it will destroy Syria’s last hope for a democratic solution beneficial to all its people, as well as one of the most important examples of how to build a truly democratic, ecological and feminist society. 11,000 people gave their lives in the struggle to defeat ISIS, including 10 British citizens, such as Anna Campbell, killed by a Turkish airstrike in Afrin in March last year. We will not ignore their sacrifice, we will #RiseUp4Rojava and stop the war on North-East Syria! Join us to demonstrate in solidarity with Kurds and all the people of North-East Syria!

Resistance is Life: A call to stand with the people of Rojava

After the widespread bombing campaigns by the fascist Turkish state in October & December, once again Turkish bombs & rockets are destroying critical infrastructure in North-East Syria. Well-documented war crimes are evident for everyone to see.

We don’t feel the need to tell you again how much damage is done & how much this will harm the survival of the peoples of the region. We also know that we don’t need to tell you again about the brutality of Erdogan & the Turkish AKP-MHP regime.

Instead, we want to tell you about the people who refuse to give in to a barbaric enemy & insist on a life in dignity. We want to tell you about the children, the mothers, the youth. Thousands flooded the streets of cities all over NorthEast Syria today to make it clear to the fascist invaders: "We are not afraid of you, & we will never leave our lands!"

In the night of November 11 we destroyed two cell phone network towers of the Lifecell company settled by the Zahaltsy and Piskivka settlements in Kyiv region. Lifecell is fully owned by Turkish giant TURKCELL, the largest mobile provider of the State of Turkey. As a large corporate tax payer Turkcell appears as the indirect sponsor of the aggression of Erdogan’s regime. There are also widely known connections of the provider with the ruling «Justice and Development Party» which construct the basis of the current system in the country. These are the reasons why we consider the property of Lifecell as a legitimate target for the sabotage.

We stay in solidarity with revolutionaries and people of Kurdistan. They fight the occupation and oppression — for the liberty and social justice. We call to everyone who cares about the situation to participate in the resistance in a manner according to their abilities.

Freedom to the peoples — death to the Empires!
