#ROBOTC MINDSTORMS HOW TO#
#ROBOTC MINDSTORMS INSTALL#
#ROBOTC MINDSTORMS DRIVERS#
#ROBOTC MINDSTORMS UPDATE#
That is all for now, in the next tutorial we will be programming the robot yourself and making it do what you want. Installing it on a Windows XP Virtual machine has given the same result.
#ROBOTC MINDSTORMS DRIVERS#
It worked fine, except it could not find the correct drivers for the IR tower.
#ROBOTC MINDSTORMS INSTALL#
To run it, on the NXT menu, go to My Files>SoftwareFiles>MotorC Forward>Run. So Ive recently dug up my old Lego Mindstorms RIS 2.0 (RCX) and have spent the past few days trying to install it into my Windows 7 laptop. Open it and go to Robot>Compile and Download Program to load it onto your NXT. Each pair of students should work together at one computer, with one EV3 robot. Go to File>Open Sample Program and open Training Samples to MotorC Forward. ROBOTC Intermediate Programming is designed for student self-pacing in small groups, preferably pairs. To start I would recommend downloading a sample program onto your NXT. Open RobotC and go to Robot>Download Firmware to download the firmware onnto the NXT device. Once your robot is built, you need to plug it into your computer via the USB cable that comes with your robot. Once you’ve downloaded RobotC on Windows, go to Programs>Robotics Academy>RobotC for MINDSTORMS Building License>RobotC for MINDSTORMS Teaching ROBOTC for MINDSTORMS runs on the following operating systems: Windows. It was initially added to our database on. The latest version of Teaching ROBOTC for MINDSTORMS is currently unknown. I recommend that you build the standard model if you’re new to this, because it’s easy to build and it will work just fine. Teaching ROBOTC for MINDSTORMS is a Shareware software in the category Miscellaneous developed by Robotics Academy. Hopefully the LINUX kernel has been updated for you. You will also need a Lego Mindstorms kit. X (RobotC for Lego Mindstorms 4).Make sure that the Platform Type is set to EV3 as shown below. RobotC is only available for Windows, but it can be run on a mac with Windows virtualization /emulation software. It is available for download at (there is a 30 day free trial ). It is primarily used with Lego Mindstorms. RobotC is a programming language geared towards robotics.
#ROBOTC MINDSTORMS HOW TO#
The kits are a bit pricey, but they offer an amazing amount of possibilities–from a simple bot that moves and turns or one that can flush your toilet or tear off toilet paper strips, to more complex designs that could potentially solve a Rubik’s Cube if one knew how to program it. Start and Stop program and step through program one line at a time and It must be open to use any of the other Debug windows (Sensors, Motors, etc.) It is a central place to configure and name all of the motors and sensors that are connected to the Cortex.RobotC is a language that one would use to program a Lego Mindstorms Robot. What is the purpose of the Robotc debug window? ROBOTC has a similar look and feel as the programming environments used in the computer science industries, but also includes many useful tools that help beginner programmers to get up and running as quickly as possible: All new Graphical Natural Language editor to easily program VEX IQ and VEX EDR robots.
#ROBOTC MINDSTORMS UPDATE#
Likewise, is Robotc free? The ROBOTC Development team is proud to announce that ROBOTC 3.50 for the LEGO Mindstorms, VEX Cortex and PIC, Arduino, and Robot Virtual World platforms is now available! The new ROBOTC 3.50 update is free-of-charge for ALL existing ROBOTC 3.0 license holders. Similarly, you may ask, how much does Robotc cost? Commands to the robot are written as text on the screen, processed by the ROBOTC compiler into a machine language file, and then loaded onto the robot, where they can be run. ROBOTC is a text-based programming language based on the standard C programming language.

Found your radiation infection au. Thanks for no sleep.
Also, I quite like the partially robotcized au. Very interesting
Hehe your welcome lol. Sadly that au is being cut short due harassment, with the next two parts being the finale. Dont worry! They will be nightmare fuel.
Yeah! I love my Robo SATAM AU! Cant wait until I actually have a chance to do the next part :]

do u have any other sonic theories
OH FUCKING BOY DO I
fun theories i think about
sonic was the original project shadow
eggman created sonic to emulate project shadow
eggman nega created silver to emulate project shadow
metal sonic is sonic robotcized from the bad future in sonic cd
metal sonic was created before sonic by eggman to try to imitate project shadow, but since he's a mechanical genius, he thought he could make the ultimate lifeform a machine. it didn't work out so well, so he eventually creates sonic.
only sonic remembers sonic 06
amy is part echidna (specifically, might be related to knuckles)
the precursors in sonic chronicles were the babylons
the babylons are originally from the sol dimension
the twilight cage from chronicles was built by the ancients to contain the End from sonic frontiers
the gaia shrines were built by the ancients
sonic is a chao (OR AT THE VERY LEAST. some type of fucking alien. he's connected to the koco/ancients that's all i'll say)
shadow's part chao (you're telling me gerald explored immortality and didn't fuck around with chao dna. insane)
not a theory but i think it'd be funny if the babylons had intense beef with the ancients and/or the black arms

He's finally here... Scrapnik Sonic!
(Make sure to read my notes at the end! Or at the very least the last one...)
Undamaged Version
Tumblr media
Scrapnik Version
Tumblr media
To get something pretty obvious out of the way but that I want to clarify for peace of mind: these are two different drawings so they won't be exactly the same in places. Anyways on to the design notes!
Design Notes
One of my first worries was about the size of certain parts. But then I remembered/realized that these are literally a bunch of scrap parts. They could've been scrapped for any number of reasons. Maybe something just came out wrong.
Now you're probably wondering what's up with that one ear, side of the muzzle, and small rectangular spot on the head. Well heres the final part of Sigma's Theory... It's actually non-robotic parts. That's right, the robotcizing process didn't 100% complete! More info on this in the general notes.
For the drill foot theres actually three things I want to say. First is that Sigma actually filed (ik theres a better word I just can't think of it) down the end of the drill to make it more flat. Second is that the covered up part on the leg is cause two of the ball points were damaged and didn't connect right so they had to improvise. Third is actually the second of my worries. This was about why Sigma would use something like a drill (or wheel) as a makeshift leg and not something more actually flat. But I eventually realized some reasons as to why. It's the fact that parts are limited and that the two sides need to be as even as possible. It might take getting used to but it's better than having to walk somewhat sideways.
The bit of metal on the chest is due to a hole.
While I'm still not entirely happy with the gear it's much better compared to my first attempts...
The thumb is a bit damaged but it still mostly works.
You can probably work out most of the colors yourself but I will say that the lines at the tip of his legs are white. Well technically they're silver and more metallic but whatever.
DOING THE EYES WAS AGONY. But not for reasons you may think. You might've assumed that I just had trouble with drawing the eyes but no no no. It's a fucking design choice I made. I tried to give his eyes a slightly sharper edge to them while still mostly retaining it's original shape. And then I had to do it 3 more times. ;-; I am not going to be applying that to future drawings. Since these are his ref sheets they get special treatment but I'm not subjecting myself to that hell and I reccomend yall do the same. It's not worth it, trust me.
I debated also making a different side view for his face before posting but you guys have waited long enough. I appreciate the patience btw.
Shoutout to @boom-fanfic-a-latta and their friends with helping out with the design process!!! Specifically with the claw hand idea! <3
And finally, the front of the ear. With the scar somewhat visible depending on which version you're doing:
Tumblr media
General Notes
If you guessed the reference to be to the makeshift brace Sonic gets in the comic then you've guessed correctly! I just thought it'd be a neat little nod to it...
So some essential about the non-robotic parts. Those parts don't feel pain. At most it'll cause him a feeling of intense pressure and immense discomfort (the amount he feels increases the worse the injury) but that's it. The pressure thing also applies to any form of touch.
Speaking of feeling things, his sense of touch is very lacking. This especially goes for parts that weren't originally a part of him. He can only feel a slight amount of pressure when he touches things. In fact the only reason hes able to feel anything at all is due to some coding that registers the touch. It's why the scrapnik parts are much more lacking in that area. Sigma did try his best though!!!
Sigma is really trying his best with Sonic. That's it, that's number four.
It might be kinda obvious but he has the most trouble adjusting to the drill foot and claw hand the most. Of course that's also on top of everything else. Poor Sonic.
Also did I mention how much he hates all of this? Because he does.
I know I kinda covered this already but he hates that everyone insists hes just some weird Metal Sonic prototype.
Theres definitely some tension between him and Mecha for a while. I'll probably make a post further detailing his relationships with characters on the island.
And for my final note, if you have any design questions or are confused by something I said dont be afraid to ask for clarification!

Robo-Trig Adventures: Turning Classroom Math into an Epic Robot Saga
Do you get bored of teaching the same old trigonometry lectures that seem to go over students’ heads? We believe in breaking the mold and making learning enjoyable at Makers’ Muse. Consider a school where trigonometry is more than simply angles and triangles on a whiteboard, but where robots come to life to teach these essential principles.
Robots, you say? Absolutely! Our innovative approach to education involves incorporating robotics into trigonometry teaching, turning what could be a dull subject into an interactive and engaging experience for school kids.
Tumblr media
1. Introduction to Trigonometric Ratios:
Begin with the basics — sine, cosine, and tangent. Illustrate these trigonometric ratios using robots to represent the angles and sides of a right-angled triangle. Program a robot to move at an angle relative to a straight path. Students then measure the distance travelled along the path (adjacent side) and perpendicular to it (opposite side) to calculate the ratios.
Coding Platforms: mBlock, Scratch, TinkerCAD, Ozobot
2. Robotics and Angle Measurement:
Dive into angular measurement by having students program robots to rotate specific angles. Discuss how these angles relate to the unit circle and trigonometric functions. Use a robot as a compass, programming it to turn to specific degrees. This practical application helps students visualize angles and understand their trigonometric counterparts.
Coding Platforms: VEXcode, MakeCode for micro:bit, Blockly
3. Trigonometry in Robot Arm Movements:
Explore the application of trigonometry in robot arm movements. Discuss how angles and lengths of arms relate to trigonometric functions. Program a robot arm to pick up an object from a specified location on a grid. Students will need to apply trigonometric principles to ensure accurate positioning.
Coding Platforms: EV3-G (for LEGO Mindstorms EV3), RoboBlockly, Python with Raspberry Pi
4. Trigonometry in Robotics Navigation:
Extend the understanding of trigonometry to robot navigation. Teach how robots can use trigonometric concepts to navigate and avoid obstacles. Set up a maze with obstacles, and challenge students to program a robot to navigate through using trigonometric calculations to determine optimal paths and avoid collisions.
Coding Platforms: RobotC, ROS (Robot Operating System), Arduino with Ultrasonic Sensors
5. Trigonometry and Sound Waves:
Connect trigonometry with waveforms and sound. Introduce the concept of sine waves and how they relate to robot-generated sounds. Have students program a robot to produce different pitches by manipulating the frequency of a sound wave. Discuss the trigonometric functions involved in wave representation.
Tumblr media
Combining trigonometry and robotics not only makes the topic more practical, but it also promotes problem-solving abilities through real-world applications. Combining coding platforms with hands-on robots creates an immersive learning experience in the middle school classroom that brings trigonometry to life.
At Makers’ Muse, we believe that education should be a dynamic, engaging journey. By integrating robotics into trigonometry lessons, we’re transforming the traditional classroom into a playground of discovery. So, the next time someone asks, “Have you ever used robotics to teach trigonometry to school kids?” at Makers’ Muse, our answer is a resounding, “Absolutely, and it’s a game-changer!”

This is another oc but the first one pic was made in 2022 hence why the style is abit off but heres one of my ocs Jaxter the wolf
Facts/ Info:
-Half roboticized by SATAM Robotnik, he isn't fully roboticized because he managed to escape while he was being robotcized leaving half of him made into a robot i.e his right leg and arm.
-SATAM Oc (He's not in the style though whoops)
- He had a friend that got roboticized and thats where he got his jacket, his friend being the reason as to how he managed to escape.
-His family and friends have all been roboticized

Scenario- Sonic AU a half robotcized Sebastian crashed into his pops.
The sheep let out a pained bleat as Sebastian crashed into him, and he pushed himself to his feet, holding where he had been hit. "Agh...!" He winced a little bit, shuddering.
