i was thinking about shadowroot recently and realized how much i love this pairing tbh, however, i personally see them as QPRs! though i don't mind seeing them as romantic too, i just really like the idea of aroace shadowsight and like to see QPR ships explored more! but, I also don't mind not shipping them, and just seeing them as friends <3 SO. I wanted so so badly to incorporate black in this design, I've seen a few rootspring designs where he's black and yellow and they look so sick all the time, but I couldn't lmfaoo i got to the swirls and knew he was staying bright yellow lolol, the Mr.Protaganist simple design strikes once more,

He's super cute though like it alot I dont.. I don't know why, something about while I was drawing him just kept going 'lightning lightning lightning' which was double weird cause Shadowsights the one who got struck, idk but I felt it

I did Rootspring(paw) and Tree in a sort of mock cover style for The Silent Thaw. Both the characters and this book are very dear to me, for personal reasons as well, so it was a pleasure to execute this idea for the zine! Glad to have been a part of this project💖
