any other library assistants/pages/clerks/librarians etc. have experiences with patrons pulling books from displays highlighting BIPOC voices and intentionally misshelving them in parts of the library where they have no business being and where no one looking for them would ever be able find them? because i found about a dozen of such books hidden, with their spines facing into the shelf so that you can't tell what book it is unless you pull it from the shelf, in very silly places. i'm not sure what i should do about this, but then again i am only a library assistant so it is not really my call. i am merely curious how other library employees handle such things. let me know!
