So, this one surprised me...

Rikei ga Koi ni Ochita no de Shoumei Shite Mita or Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It what an anime! Was it like 10/10? No, not at all, but it did indeed surprised me. I thought it would be something like “just one more of your daily romantic comedies” and it was waaay more than that! Especially season 2. Season 1 was a-ok, it did an amazing story set up and it was really interesting, but season 2 took things a bit deeper. Till episode 6, everything was amazing, beautiful, I even cried watching episodes 5 and 6. These episodes showed love in different ways (and I honestly think there is a person there who should’ve been arrested but.....ahahahahahahha) and how amazing it is to love someone and what love may mean in different perspectives for people. So cute, so amazing, so great. But from episode 7 on things changed a bit, focusing on another character her love problems and normal problems, with an ending I, personally, wasn’t expecting much but I should’ve seen it coming (the clues were all there all the time and at the same time they weren’t????? I got seriously confused!!) yet, episode 11 got my heart racing (not in a “racing because of love” way) and I kinda felt a bit relived with episode 12 ending. It was indeed an anime that surprised me, full of easter eggs (mainly on season 1), things that left me thinking for many nights and I couldn’t barely fall asleep and it was a very well done work. It may not be for teens, but young adults/adults for sure! I recommend it, watch it if you can and I hope that, if you’re a nerd like me, you’ll know why I was so surprised by it. Sitting watching my funny haha science romcom and then the very first scene of the last episode for the season basically says that there’s sexual harrassment and violence, and assult, and I’m. what universe am I in??? why the heck did they go that route?!? And for them to not even address the situation and end up with comedy, you honestly can’t do that when this kind of tone has NEVER been introduced in the series before

So, I recently watched Rikeikoi ("Science Fell in Love") and while it was somewhat funny and interesting, the second season's finale ruined the entire series for me. Aside from the finale being messy and nonsensical, the sudden drastic tonal shift, and the forced love triangle killed it for me. You can't tell me there wasn't a better and less idiotic way to conclude Kanade's arc. What was the thought process??

i know that shiying x xieyun and shiying x baili is pretty popular and i understand but my mind right now is … shiying x modern wang yibo.

this is not something new, i’ve even seen fanarts before even when ygy was not yet airing but the episode where shiying lost his memory brought my love for the pair back.

hear me out…..

( disclaimer : if putting them in fictional settings and as “characters” is something you are not comfortable with then move along. thank you. )

So Shiying loses his memory and somehow gets transported into the modern world because it’s a fantasy setting and anything goes. He ends up in a temple and taken in by whoever oversees it, that guy has a family and a daughter ( let’s name her M and she is a makeup artist ) who works in the entertainment industry. She takes Shiying to an event where WYB is, Shu Uemura and that’s the first time sees WYB. He’s been in the modern world for 2 mos at this point and have “seen” things and people but this Wang Yibo is different. He asks M if WYB is some kind of prince since he always has people guarding him ( Yanyan and Lele ) + he has that aura in him that made Shiying wonder. When they get home, Shiying can’t get WYB out of his head, M noticed this and guesses that it’s about WYB so she offers to show him stuff about WYB on the internet. SY IS FASCINATED. Especially the way he dances. It’s not like anything he’s seen before.

One and Only Promo happens and M surprises Shiying and takes him to one of the screenings.

SHI YING IS HALF IN LOVE.

Especially when he sees him dancing in person. He is convinced that WYB is practicing some sort of magic just like him. He also thinks that he will be a good fighter with how he moves.

So how WYB meets him…

During this event, there’s a Q&A. Shiying gets chosen to ask a question to WYB and he is so excited! He asks something really interesting ( i can’t think right now ) and WYB laughs.

WYB notices. He thinks the guy is sweet and cute.

M does not know WYB personally but he’s seen her around. He sees M and Shiying somewhere backstage and he says Hi to Shiying. Unprompted. Everyone is surprised. WYB does not initiate conversation or acknowledge someone who is not familiar with. Shiying is delighted!!!! They talk a bit and Shiying uses something he learned from M and people he interacted with in the last months, he asks for WYB’s we chat number. He does not have a phone or a wechat account but he usually hears it. LOL. he thinks it’s a way to make friends and that you can ask anyone. but WYB is not just anyone. However WYB says YES. 👀

Shiying waits for something to happen, WYB takes out his phone and Shiying is empty handed. M saves him by saying Shiying forgot his phone but the thing is WYB won’t give it out unless it’s Shiying. Shiying is sad now. Does this mean he can’t see WYB again? WYB asks them to come see him ( if they can ) on his next promo venue ( let’s say it’s magically in Beijing again ) M says they would. Shiying is happy again ☺️

Anyway, they meet. They become friends. Fall in love. WYB learns about Shiying. His Magic.

Shiying stays in the modern world, they lived happily every after. 🤍

I’m sorry but XZ does not exist in this AU or he does but never met WYB.

Fell asleep last night thinking about an au where Norman recovers from being the Green Goblin, but he ended up doing some really creepy stuff beforehand including attacking Peter as he was Peter Parker and not Spidey and then keeping him locked up for several days (Peter ends up with a few scars from it)

Norman avoids any jail time because he’s rich and revealed somewhat of the truth, that a medicine he was working on for himself had terrible side effects, no one knows about him being the Goblin, they only know about him attacking Peter

Peter is able to successfully get a restraining order against him tho, but Norman’s a jackass who keeps hanging out on the fringe of the distance he’s supposed to be at and speaking/yelling at Peter, stuff like “when you finally forgive me and drop this restraining order, I’ll be here with open arms,” and “Uncle Ben wouldn’t want you to hold this hate in your heart” and because of the previous mentioned richness, Peter can’t do anything unless Norman steps too closely

And tbh Peter mostly got the restraining order because he was worried it would look suspicious if “Peter Parker” didn’t seem too badly affected by things, since he was used to being attacked by Norman as Spiderman

But now that he’s keeping Norman away, even if he still hangs around, and he has visible scars from it that everyone can see, and everyone knows about the court case and what happened and keep asking him if he’s okay, he’s…starting to acknowledge that it all was traumatizing, not just the kidnapping event but the whole thing with the Green Goblin, that he was just pretending it wasn’t because he’s a hero, and people seeing how badly it’s been affecting him is actually healing in a way

#part of the au #was that Peter runs Parker Industries #and although most people are on Peter’s side #every time there’s a science event the people who set it up complain at him and try to get him to drop his restraining order against Norman #because they’re going to invite Norman #he’s rich and runs a science company #but they also have to invite Peter because even if it’s a small company he’s always putting out amazing inventions #and it makes it difficult for the organizers to plan it with the two of them always staying a certain amount away #so they’re dicks. #and Miles was upset that people could just harass Peter about his restraining order and that he’d have to deal with someone who hurt him #at this event #so he gets his dad involved as some unofficial security guard since Norman probably paid off all security at the event #which was really sweet of Miles but now Peter has no way of escaping as Spiderman #and then I fell asleep before figuring out how he’d get around that because if Miles is also at the event then his dad #would be paying attention to him too especially if Norman Osborn is nearby #so that’s why this section isn’t in the body of the post #I love Norman Osborn but sometimes gotta acknowledge he was a creep who greatly traumatized Peter #Peter Parker #Norman Osborn #Spiderman #spider man #spider-man #the green goblin
