So! I returned to the Invader Zim fandom after like, 3 years, so idk how dead it is now but... I wanted to continue this little comic I started!

My art has changed a lot but making comics is still a bit new to me- hence why the style changed constantly. I'm probably going to be adopting the style in the third page with the thinner outlines and darker monotone shading. As well as a mix of all pages when it comes to the text boxes.

Now with the style stuff out of the way, here's the stuff you actually care about. If you havent read the old version, this won't matter too much as these are just all the changes I'll be making:

For starters, the most obvious change, Dib is now much older than he was in the first version, at 16 instead of 12. Simply because I have an easier time writing teens - adults.

This will be a little edgier, surprisingly, with Dib taking on a more angry, morally dubious teen rather than a scared little kid.

The way Zib fractures (versions Zim, Dib and Zib) is going to be a bit more refined imo.

Thank you so much! Glad to be back, even if the fandom has changed quite a bit over the past 3(?) years. My life is quite a bit more busy though than it was back then so I apologize if I don't upload as often as I used to. Gonna try and get through more of this story than I did last time, after doing some quick recapping.

SCP Zib AU :: Tail or No Tail?

Now I am fully aware that my old IZ followers are probably long gone but just in case there are any out there that still remember this comic (and are interested in it potentially get rebooted) I wanted to put this poll out there.

Should Irkens have a tail in this au? In the old version of my comic, they did and I'm not entirely sure I want to keep it if I'm being honest.

A little crossover idea between my scp au and @melodyofthevoid‘s royalty au. Instead the curse was entrapment and Dib was never set free. He slowly faded into obscurity, his story along with his mind. He went  decades mimicking other people’s movement until one day an odd man walked into the room his mirror was being stored. Instead of perfectly mimicking his movements, he suddenly found he was just the tiniest bit more free. 

He began to hope again... hope that the strange man would come by again so he could feel that little bit of freedom once more.  

I have more ideas for this tiny little side story that I may work on but I should work more on the original story so I can’t promise much more of it.

A few people have been asking about my SCP au that I created when I was still obsessed with Invader Zim. I still am not entirely sure I’ll ever continue it, in fact I’m almost certain I won’t. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy drawing him and making this storyline. So, because of that, I decided to try drawing him again. 

The trickiest part was the goggles but I’m really happy with how they look! My style has certainly changed a lot since then. ^^;

Another addition to my scp and @melodyofthevoid 's royalty au crossover! Zib figures out who the man in the mirror is as he slowly pieces together fragments of his memory. Zib decides to aid dib in regaining more of them by finding the folk tale and reading it to him. Every day during Zib's lunch break he stops by to read some more of the book to dib and dib is feeling more and more memories flood back, the sweetest being those of his betrothed...

But he was no more... and he would not see him again. Not in this life.

Made some references for my SCP Zib bois!

Instead of just Zim and Dib, I call the other two Destabilized Zim and Dib. When stable, they make Zib, indicated by the purple pak and eye color. He’s the rational and best version of the two combined together. He’s got bits of Zim’s chaos and dibs love for the paranormal. He’s also got both of their combined genius.When unstable, they will break off into one of two characters depending in who is more in control or present. 

Dib can be classified as a Safe version. He hardly ever causes problems for the foundation as he’s usually found hiding in his room or being forced into a test session. He’s incredibly self conscious about his looks and tries to cover up all his Irken features to the best of his ability. 

Zim, on the other hand, is an easy Eucalid. He’s unpredictable and violent when he’s loose. He disregards all the rules put in place by the foundation and is highly prone to breaking things and hurting people without thinking. He’s highly irrational and the best thing to do when Zim is loose is talk him down and ask him where Dib is. If the foundation can figure out what's causing the destabilization, they can work towards stabilizing the two again. Zim being the outcome of destabilization is sadly, far more common than Dib.

This is basically dib while hes having the physical transformation into zib. Dib is practically all alone while its happening, none of the staff really helping him with the pain or offering any comfort. But zim is there and hes trying his best to give dib any sort of comfort.

I'm thinking that before the transformation completed, zim wasnt in any control over zib. It was all 100% dib. However, the final part of the process was zim gaining access and oh boy, the first time zim took over, dib took a nice long nap while the foundation panicked over how to control this very angry version of zib.
