You inspire others by showing your "imperfections" and sharing your pain, by not hiding what's inside of you. You inspire others by showing your scars too, what it took you to reach something (physically or emotionally). You're determined and corageous, and you're also very abundant, but you inspire others cause you know how to share whatever you have of abundant, you share from the excess of what you have. Any quality of yours, any ability of yours, your knowledge... whatever can help others not letting their heart/emotions take them over but healing that side of themselves. I think you probably lived with pink colored glasses on for a while or let your emotions (probably fears in particular) guide you for too long, but you had to learn the hard way not to do that to a fault. I mean, it's okay when you want to follow your heart, but sometimes emotions (feelings in particular) can be tricky and you may have had a good bunch of sad experiences in relation with this, with not being able to really see the situation/people in front of you for who they were but only for what/who you wanted (or believed) them to be. You probably went through some traumatic experience in your past and you are healing your emotions (emotional abuse maybe). The way you learned to heal your heart, forgive and trust again, with every fiber of your body and heart, is really inspiring. Not everyone can do that, many just close off to everything to avoid experiencing more pain. Maybe you're not there yet, you're not that open to love yet, but you will, and you already know that deep down. And probably sharing all your pain, all you went through, will inspire others and free yourself as well.

Volks' love languages

(his deluxe date made me start thinking about this... I'm definitely going to make more of these for the other guys <3)

-Volks isn't a touchy feely guy. He just isn't. Sure, he opens up a lot more around you than he does around other people, but that doesn't mean he isn't awkward and cagey about it.

-Won't initiate physical touch. Practically refuses to. You have to be the one to initiate everything.

-It isn't even that he doesn't want to touch you- no, he's just too stubborn to ask. Because (clearly) asking your significant other for a hug is embarrassing (obviously). He always has to bring it up in a round-about way, like "If you tripped and fell on me-" or "If you wanted to-".

-He eventually gets more and more used to it the longer you're dating.

-Just don't call attention to it when it finally happens. If you make a big deal out of him hugging or deciding to kiss you first, he'll get embarrassed and stop. It's like getting the trust of a wild animal- he's skittish. (lmao)

-In general though, physical touch just isn't really his thing. He doesn't hate it (even if he pretends he does), but it's not usually his first thought either. Hates PDA don't even try it with him cause he'll refuse.

-Isn't the biggest fan of gifts, either... He just isn't very materialistic. He could take or leave most presents, unless they were particularly thoughtful or really to his taste.

-The best gift you can give him is an activity to do together, or something for him to cook. If you ever want to get Volks downright giddy, get him the expensive wagyu. Seriously, he'll be like a kid on Christmas.

-Which leads into one love language Volks is very much a fan of: Acts of service.

-It stems from his childhood. His mother was an ER nurse- and he did everything he could to make her life less difficult.

-He got good grades, kept his room clean, didn't get in fights... He was kind of the definition of a 'good kid'. Started doing his own laundry and making his own meals a lot younger than a lot of kids typically would. He never really minded it, either. Usually, when the house was already clean and dinner was already cooked, it meant that him and his mom could spend more time together since she didn't have anything extra to do after work.

-This bleeds into his romantic relationships too, even if he doesn't realize it. The biggest way Volks shows he loves you is by doing things for you. This trait comes out x100 if you live together.

-You are NOT going to work without a packed lunch. If you bug him about it enough he might even leave you cute little notes. Usually just stupid little doodles of wolves and stuff but he doesn't understand why you love them so much.

-Cooks most of the meals and does most of the chores. (malewife fr)

-You try to insist that you should split the chores 50/50... but he just ignores it. He wants to make your life less difficult.

-"So what if I did the laundry already? We don't need to take turns doing it... C'mon, don't look at me like that."

-"Don't worry about the dishes, I'll do them myself later... Seriously, there are better ways to spend our time together."

-He's secretly such a sweetheart, although he struggles with words of affirmation.

-Sometimes, Volks will say something so incredibly sweet that it makes you swoon but it's never on purpose.

-If he's TRYING to use his words, he can't come up with anything. He's plagued with awkwardness and an emotionally stunted personality, words are hard for him. He struggles to string words together that really explain how much he likes you...

-When he says something really sweet, it's probably because he's just being honest and not putting any thought into it.

-Which... Volks kind of has a problem with sometimes. It's difficult for him to really talk about his emotions and feelings and that's why he always pushes this cares about nothing/nonchalant attitude- you can't be disappointed if nothing ever bothers you.

-So, he actually really appreciates having someone that speaks their mind and means it. You manage to fluster him so much just by being nice and honest with him.

-Hearing you say how much you like him, how attractive you think he is, how much you appreciate what he does for you... Really makes him swoon.

-He's never really put much faith into people's words- actions are what speaks loudest- but it's different when it's you. He loves your words.

-Just... tone down the flirting and compliments in public, okay? He thinks he looks like a dork when he blushes like crazy in public and he'll pout about it.

-Volks' other main love language is quality time.

-Just wants to spend time with you. He doesn't really care what you're doing, or where, or for how long.

-Whether it's for a couple of minutes between your busy schedule, or for hours at a time. Any time he spends with you is good time spent.

-Volks is a homebody and an introvert at heart. His personal time and space are not something he gives up lightly. Just the fact that he allows you in his apartment when you start dating is a high honor, because it's a privilege only few are afforded. (few = you and his mom)

-You don't even have to be doing anything when you're together. Volks is the type that's perfectly content to just exist in the same room. It gives him a good opportunity to stare at you without you noticing.

-Speaking of staring, it's practically a love language in it of itself for him. He loves to just look at you, and he doesn't really care if it's 'weird'. So what if he's staring? You're hot. It'd be a shame not to stare.

-He'll also love it if you engage in his hobbies, especially if you agree to go camping with him. Just be careful, his idea of camping is closer to straight up survival. But he'll be happy, so you figure it's worth giving up your comfortable bed and learning to spear fish in the wilderness.

The Dialectical Humanism of Big-Ass Robots: An Intro

“There’s a deep, earnest seriousness to most mecha shows (especially within the “real robot” subgenre) that implores the audience to grapple with intricate ideas and themes drawn from philosophers like Aristotle, Nietzche, and Rousseau, oftentimes complete with allegorical mouthpieces for competing ideologies.”

My high school students always lose their shit when I tell them that I, Coach Werner, also watch anime. I kinda feel bad about it. By now, I know I’ll see the excitement die from their eyes little by little as they pepper me with questions, searching for a connection with show after show after show. 

“Coach, have you seen Jojo?”

“Nope.”

“What about DBZ or Naruto?”

“Not since before you were born.”

“Attack on Titan? Utena? Tokyo Ghoul?”

“Not yet, though they’re on my list.”

“The fuck Coach? I thought you said you watch anime!”

When I tell them I mostly watch mecha, they get confused. After I explain that mecha are the ones with jumbo-sized robots, they groan. I’ve even had one kid say that didn’t count. As a general rule, I try to not let the opinions of 15 year olds hurt my feelings; I only docked his grade a couple points. 

Whatever my students may think, oversized anthropomorphized robots have fascinated me since I was a kid. Over the years, as I’ve revisited shows from my youth and found new mechanized, cel shaded rabbit holes to tumble down, I’ve tried to figure out what exactly was so appealing about the genre. There’s definitely a bit of wish fulfillment, a sorta kaiju-sized power fantasy, sure, but that’s not all of it. Same with intricate sci-fi world building, and of course the thrill of pew-pew dogfights and beam saber duels. But none of those alone seemed to account for the whole thing. They’re all fun set dressing, definitely worth a watch on their own but not enough, I don’t think, to capture my imagination for nearly a quarter of a century.

This series, The Dialectical Humanism of Big-Ass Robots, started off as a rambling, borderline incoherent and definitely substance enhanced diatribe that tried to explain how excited I was for the first episodes of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury. It feels right, though, both the name and the bigger through line.

There’s a deep, earnest seriousness to most mecha shows (especially within the “real robot” subgenre) that implores the audience to grapple with intricate ideas and themes drawn from philosophers like Aristotle, Nietzche, and Rousseau, oftentimes complete with allegorical mouthpieces for competing ideologies. There’s also the slightly goofy and always physics-defying “rule of cool” concepts of the robots themselves–I mean, who doesn’t want to see a boom cannon with angel wings, or a crucified rage monster, or transforming karaoke jets?–that can easily be laughed off as a kid’s cartoon. Any foolhardy (read: hubristic and dumbasstic) attempt to try to find unifying threads within such a wide and varied genre has to address both of those tendencies. Here, friend, you will find one such foolhardy attempt. 

Mecha anime, more than any other subgenre, has a fundamental tension summarized by two infuriatingly simultaneous, contradictory truths:

Anthropomorphized mechs bring out the best in humanity, allowing us to overcome our flaws and leap forward into a better future.

Anthropomorphized mechs feed into the worst traits of humanity, allowing us to destroy ourselves in new and technologically advanced ways.

Those two overwhelmingly common truths, when taken together, can be summarized in fancy philosophy jargon with just two words: dialectical humanism.

Dialectics is a concept pioneered (in the West, at least) by Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel during the late 18th and early 19th century. There’s literally a whole field of study called “Hegelian Dialectics” that we’ll touch on from time to time, but the main thing to know is that two mutually exclusive and contradictory ideas are often both true at the same time. 

Humanism has a long, fraught history, but the most common Western interpretations stem from Enlightenment-era ideals. Essentially, humanism boils down to the belief that humankind can progress beyond its animalistic nature through a combination of empathy and rational thinking. Again, we’ll be touching on a whole slew of humanist thinkers throughout this series.

So that’s The Dialectical Humanism of Big-Ass Robots. I feel like mecha shows–from Astro Boy to Zeta Gundam, and almost everything in between–play with this dialectic, where the mechs themselves represent humanity’s ultimate destruction and ultimate salvation simultaneously. Sometimes we struggle to survive, sometimes we overcome and thrive, and sometimes we find ourselves transformed into an ocean of pink goo.

Composite Scorpio moon

I’m experiencing composite Scorpio moon for the first time and it’s genuinely one of the craziest experiences. 

It kinda feels like Bella and Edward, like I want him so bad and I don’t know why, and I can’t understand why he wants me but we’re magnetized toward each other. It feels too intense like I want to escape but I also crave this kind of intimacy. He’s definitely intense too. And it’s so sexual. The eye contact got me going crazy!

As a disclaimer we have a lot of Pluto influence in our synastry his Pluto is exactly on my 8th house trine my mars square my Venus and moon in his 4th

And my Pluto is opposite his sun Mercury and mars but that’s generational.

Additionally he’s got Saturn and Jupiter in my 12th which I can also really feel so this a very watery synastry.

We have a very water dominant composite so I know it probably appeals to my cancer stellium more and I think it shows in how crazy I act but I don’t know if he can tell and I know he feels it too but I cannot fathom it’s this intense for him. I don’t know his birth time but the composite moon is directly opposite my ascendant so I know I’m really feeling that.

I’m obsessed and I can’t even stop myself because he so easily fans the fire. He is so patient and understanding it doesn’t even feel real but there’s such a seriousness with Saturn involved. It’s like I’m blackout drunk and the most sober I’ve ever been. I’ve read into our synastry and honestly it’s probably not so good it’s more neutral but when I am with him, when I talk to him… god it’s just like everything.

The tension is palpable we’ve gone to parties and everyone around us points us out even if we don’t talk it’s just like intense eye contact and everyone knows.

Being around him makes me so… Farrell … like all I want is to touch him and I’m never close enough but I’m terrified to get too close.

It’s almost animalistic like I want to devour him I love biting him and when he bites me.

I can tell that if we had sex it would change the relationship completely and probably for the better because this built up tension literally makes me act out but omg I really like this guy so much and it terrifies me. Every time he calls me and we talk I cry afterward just because he feels so good for me and I feel so intensely about him. I don’t think he’s the most conventional person, but somehow he says exactly what I need to hear and we don’t even know each other. His timing is so perfect too like even though we don’t know each others I feel like our lives are synced up. There’s definitely themes of possessiveness and commitment, and we can never do anything causally. We met the first day and I went off on him for something really stupid and I was being totally possessive over a made up scenario I conjured but I really sent it and we didn’t talk for months and when we started talking again he got a puppy and immediately called me after calling me the puppies step mom and I helped him pick out names for her.

Foreplay feels as intense as my best hookups and we haven’t even had sex.

The tension is like unbearable I’m realizing now that it would probably be different if we had sex but I’m afraid I’d literally just fall in love with him if we did and I know this one would fuck me up. I’m in my healing era but this man’s about to make me risk it but I don’t even know if it’s a risk because he is probably really good for me and what I need but I keep fighting it. Bottom line I’m scared.

His eyes are so dark when he talks to me and he can be so serious and it’s so sexy. we can literally be in a room full of people and it feels like it’s just us and everyone at the party was annoyed about it.

The funny thing about how we met is that my friend went to a party to meet his friend but his friend was flirting with every girl there so I was death staring his friend trying to show him I see what he was doing but he was too busy looking at other girls so I looked over at him (the guy I like) and glared with a passion trying to convey a “your friends so messed up for this” kinda look and the random girl I was with said he was giving me “the eyes” and I think that details funny because I was so mad at him and his friend. We ended up going downstairs to talk with my friend and me and him ended up by the balcony looking over the city and immediately I knew the girl I was dancing with was right about him being into me but I thought that was funny cause I was GLARING. but she came over to talk to him and he put his arm around my waist and I was sold on him. Taht immediate loyalty I’m only into you was so freaking sexy. Even when I went off on him LIKE A LITERAL CRAZY PERSON he was very understanding. He handles my intensity very well but that’s honestly not my favorite part of myself and he really brings it out. I keep blaming it on the alcohol but I really think it’s him, or at least the synastry.

Everything he does evokes a reaction out of me, and part of it is from trauma but he’s uncovering all these fears I didn’t know i had.

I read somewhere that these people with Scorpio moon composite need to take breaks from time to time cause it just gets too intense and I feel that but honestly I can never tell if it’s just a break. Or at least for me it’s that and I fixate on if I’ll ever see him again. We’re not talking again, but I needed a little break from the intensity anyway.

hi maggie !! i really really really love IW and just wanted to ask how you got inspired to write a gojo x reader fic from reading one day? you’ve also convinced me to buy the book and now i’m patiently (not really) waiting for it to arrive.

also i find it kinda funny that gojo became a huge comfort character of mine because of IW, like if i never read it, i wouldn’t have been THAT attached to him.

HUZZAH!!!! My plan is a success. The ‘One Day’ + Gojo conversion has begun! But jokes. The inspiration for IW is such an interesting question.

Funnily enough, I kind of approached the ‘One Day’/IW/jjk inspiration the opposite way: I watched season 1 of JK and kept thinking about the bare bones of a story idea, or, at that point, a vague, self-indulgent self-insert of a love interest for Gojo: a girl who couldn’t touch people, hands behind her back, wearing black gloves. I couldn't tell you why I thought of that, but I just thought it was cool as fuck. I had this badass mental image of this cool asf woman removing her gloves with a powerful flourish in the climax of a sick anime battle sequence. Idk, man. And then, when I started taking myself more seriously, I figured that because I love childhood-friends-to-lovers, I decided she’d be Gojo’s childhood friend.

But I wanted to explore that childhood first: I think the main reason most people don't like friends-to-lovers is because most authors don't put in the time to establish the characters as friends first. Why should a reader care about the protagonist/childhood-friend-love-interest's relationship when all they've been given is a blithe attempt at exposition in which the protagonist tells (not shows) the reader that 'yes we've been friends for so long and we really care about each other so yippee root for our relationship!'? I knew that friends-to-lovers works best when there is so much time spent to flesh out the 'friends' relationship first, and that I wanted to show that, preferably chronologically, and not just rely on flashbacks that are just a general pet peeve of mine (they're so difficult to do right, I can go on about it for donkeys).

That's why I came up with using 'One Day' as an inspiration: I wanted to go through years of these characters' lives--genuine decades--and use a chronological narrative, without doing crazy time jumps, and still being able to focus in on the day-to-day, moment-to-moment aspect of a relationship, to really foster that intimacy I wanted to convey. And, so: boom! The 'A concept shamelessly stolen from 'One Day' by David Nicholls' tag was born.

You've got me thinking more about how 'One Day' has influenced IW. Give me a second and I'll write it up fully.

Rising Rosberg primed to emerge from old friend's slipstream

German's podium finish last week showed he is ready to resume a decade-long rivalry.

It was the most touching moment of the Australian grand prix weekend. Lewis Hamilton was wiping away the perspiration of victory behind the podium when he spotted his old friend Nico Rosberg, similarly flushed after an impressive run to third place, his best finish in formula one.

Suddenly Hamilton leaped forward and gave Rosberg a big hug and the two of them jumped up and down in frantic delight. For a brief moment they were no longer young professionals in their early 20s, racing in big-time formula one, but the young karting drivers they had been a decade earlier.

"It's great to see Nico up here with me for the first time since our karting days," said Hamilton enthusiastically after showering his old rival with champagne. But Hamilton's memory was clearly playing tricks. "I didn't like to say it at the time," said Rosberg, "but he had forgotten the 2004 formula three Bahrain international in which Lewis and I finished first and second. I then went on to compete in GP2 the following season while he did another year in formula three before moving up into GP2 in 2006."

Rosberg has a matchless pedigree. The son of the 1982 world champion Keke Rosberg, only the second driver to take the title at the wheel of a Williams, Nico was born four days after his father won the 1985 US grand prix in Detroit in a Williams-Honda. Nico recalled that he always had a really good relationship with his father, even though Keke could be very critical "although in a constructive way…"

"But my father helped me a lot and didn't intervene when I took the decision to pass up the opportunity to come to study at Imperial College in London for a degree in aerodynamic engineering," he said. "I think he could see that by then I'd made my mind up to pursue my racing career and I realised that I couldn't do both because I'd lose too much momentum if I went to university. So my father didn't say anything and just sat back and let me make my decision for myself. I think in the end he was just pleased that I'd come to a conclusion by myself."

The younger Rosberg started competing in 1996 at the age of 11, winning the Cote d'Azur mini-kart championship. He continued racing karts to the end of 2001 then switched to cars, winning the ADAC formula BMW championship with nine race wins. Many formula one insiders now regard Rosberg as among the most promising emergent stars of what some already call "the Lewis generation".

"Nico [and] probably Sebastian Vettel are the two drivers most likely to get in Hamilton's way to prevent him winning seven straight world championships," said the pundit Martin Brundle, not altogether seriously, in the Sepang paddock yesterday. Yet the point was well made.

After Fernando Alonso left McLaren last season, Rosberg was at the top of their wanted list as a new team-mate for Hamilton. But Frank Williams was not interested, rejecting a substantial offer from McLaren to buy out Rosberg's contract and rewarding the young German driver with an extension to his existing contract to the end of 2010.

"Finishing on the rostrum for the first time is an important milestone in every driver's career," said Rosberg, reflecting on his performance in Melbourne. "It's right up there with your first front-row start, scoring your first championship points and, of course, your first win, which I have still to achieve."

The Williams management consider Rosberg to be a chip off the old block, with many of the qualities that made his father so popular. The team have not won a grand prix since Juan Pablo Montoya triumphed in Brazil in 2004, and Jacques Villeneuve won their last world championship in 1997. "It's probably a bit much to expect Nico to have anything more than an outside chance of winning a race this year," said a team insider, "but Frank has great faith in him."

Rosberg agreed: "We are under no illusions as to where we are in the overall pecking order. To be honest, I don't see this as a launch pad from which we can make a bid for race wins. Not yet, anyway. We welcome fans of The Legend of Vox Machina with open arms. As a result, it's requested that campaign fans do their best to avoid spoiling show fans for anything beyond what Season 2 has shown (Umbrasyl's defeat). That means late Campaign 1, the oneshots and any mention of them in other campaigns should be tagged as #cr1 spoilers (using just this tag for simplicity). How did you choose the prompts?

Prompts were chosen over a day or two while talking with friends - they were intended to be open-ended enough to allow flexibility while also touching on key elements of the ship! Some obvious ones (ex: courage, heart, that sort of thing) were left out so that, hopefully, they could be included next year. If there's enough interest, future prompts could be chosen via fan poll.

Will this be an annual event?

We sure hope so! Hence optimistically keeping back some prompt ideas for the future. Let's see how this goes ;3

Why late September?

On September 29th, 2016, the Critical Role episode 'Passed Through Fire' aired, which features an iconic Perc'ahlia moment (no spoilers for show fans!). Following Burr's poll on which scene is most iconic for the pairing, we decided to have the week celebrate the anniversary of that episode.

So why did you announce this so early?

Because Maggie has been a gremlin about the idea since April. Also, most fans in this space are adults with jobs and responsibilities - allowing more time to create without a rush benefits everyone.

That bridgerton sneak peak had some good chemistry they might make me tune in idk, I usually agree with you on most things ship related but I have a problem with this specific ship, Colin is the least interesting of the siblings so far but that's okay I didn't care for anthony either before his season, my bigger problem is Penelope, I think they tried to go for the drama and the twists too much and made her seem kind of awful? They're trying to pretend racism doesn't exist in that era but the way she outed Marina in s1 ( who was not doing a good thing at all but I don't she had much of a choice given her other option was abject poverty) and the way she talks about her friends in her column and outs everyone's shit, things that have really serious consequences on people's lives. The writers literally called her a villain which???? They're doing something I feel a lot of shows have a problem with lately, trying to girlboss women doing shitty things, same with their brand of white feminism for Eloise who spends all her scenes lamenting her fate and being "quirky" with no actual depth or confronting her privilege or trying to help other women or really anything at all, all she does is talk like a "not like other girls" girlie circa Tumblr 2012 and they're thinking omg we're being such feminists right now 🤣😅🤣

In all seriousness, I totally get where you’re coming from! I personally love polin and I’m very excited for them, but I don’t think the writing has always been the best. Obviously a lot of polin fans don’t agree with me, but I still think this season not being Benedict’s is so strange and a mistake. The general audience adores him and I think both Colin and Penelope could’ve done with another season of personal growth (and slow burn) to help them win over the rest of the audience more. I like Colin and I think he’s actually really funny when they give him a chance, but he’s done nothing to scream leading man like Benedict has yet. I guess S3 will tell us how much is on the writing so far vs Luke Newton. I want him to be so amazing, but I get the doubts because I still have some nerves about it too. I think the sneak peek looked great and is a great start so I’m gonna go in with optimism and positive thoughts!

Gotta defend Eloise because I think her thinking she’s ranting and valid but actually being more out of touch than she realizes is mostly purposeful! I like that as a character flaw and I think it’s realistic for someone in her position. Or maybe I just love Eloise lol. Penelope is a bit of a more… complex case. I see why people hate her, although I personally mostly like her even though I think she sucks for what she did to the Bridgertons. She’s just treated so polarizing one way or the other by the fandom and the producers are obsessed with her and I think that’s part of the problem.

I have doubts any of the Bridgerton ships will beat kathony for me but overall this fandom is so weird! I don’t get the ship wars amongst the ships because they are all canon and they’re all meant to have their spotlight and be enjoyed. I don’t mean you anon when I say this btw, I mean more the hardcore Bridgerton fandom. It’s why I don’t engage with them a lot lol. I just want to enjoy a cute ship every season.

Summary:

Hajime Ichinose's ordinary life is in for a change when a transcendent being named J.J Robinson hands her a small book called NOTE—a device which transforms her into one of the Gatchaman, the legendary protectors of Tachikawa City. Stressing that the existence of their group must remain a secret, fellow Gatchaman Sugane Tachibana takes Hajime to their base of operations, where Paiman, the panda-like alien leader of the Gatchaman, reveals their purpose: to eliminate aliens that pose a danger to humanity. These existential threats, called MESS, are becoming increasingly dangerous, destroying everything they touch. Now it's up to the Gatchaman and their new recruit to stop them before the world is engulfed in chaos.

Propaganda:

Crowds is a very ambitious anime in my opinion! It takes place in a world not too different from ours, where most problems are solved quickly due to an app that everyone uses. Technology makes it so that everyday people can save each other. In a world where everyone’s a hero, what use are heroes? What even makes one? It follows a girl named Hajime as she joins a team of superheroes with her unique perspective. If you like animes that are different and somewhat whimsical (with the occasional battle). This might be up your alley!

The visuals are also unique and colorful, with creatures and locations that can be pretty abstract. The characters are interesting, each have their own personalities, perspectives, and motivations for what they do. Crowds is short, but it manages to give everyone some kind of character arc, and give them depth. I personally find the team very endearing, and Rui has STYLE! As a fellow guy who wears dresses and heels sometimes, I love him very much.

Also, THE MUSIC. If you don’t check out the anime you should at least check out the opening and ending songs, they are absolute bangers.

Trigger Warnings:

Blood, murder, manipulation. I don’t remember there being transphobia/homophobia, but anime has a bad track record in general and there are 1 or 2 LGBT characters and I could have forgotten.

Summary:

Painted in red, the word "VON" is all that is left behind after a terrorist attack on a nuclear facility in Japan. The government is shattered by their inability to act, and the police are left frantically searching for ways to crack down the perpetrators. The public are clueless—until, six months later, a strange video makes its way onto the internet. In it, two teenage boys who identify themselves only as "Sphinx" directly challenge the police, threatening to cause destruction and mayhem across Tokyo. Unable to stop the mass panic quickly spreading through the city and desperate for any leads in their investigation, the police struggle to act effectively against these terrorists, with Detective Kenjirou Shibazaki caught in the middle of it all.

Propaganda:

The big thing to this show is that the directors are Shinichirō Watanabe and Yoko Kanno, aka the team behind Cowboy Bebop. But in all seriousness, the show still haunts me and the music can still bring tears to my eyes. The art is incredible, and the characters are tragic. The story is partially about hope and largely about kids wanting their pain to be acknowledged.

You chewed on your lips as you gazed down at the platinum bracelet laying before you, the fine diamonds sparkling were perfect under the lighting of your room, Aerin made a noise of delighted surprise, a gasp.

 You had gasped as well when you opened that package. But unlike Aerin, your lips were twisted into a scowl before you scoffed and looked away.

 "The guy is seriously whipped for you (Y/N)!" your cousin gushed over how sweet and generous Jin was. 

It was glaringly obvious who sent the extravagant gift, especially with the little card that came with the bracelet 'Yours Truly' written on it with Jin's signature.

“Last time I received a gift, you did not seem half as pleased.” you grimanced, trying to pull her back on your side.

“Yes, I spoke with Taehyung, he told me that it is Jin’s way of showing affection, he and Tae are similar in that way.” she waved her hand dismissively, smiling at the gift and looking at you expectantly.

Did Aerin seriously expect you to try it?

 You were anything but pleased on receiving the package. Even when you tried to deny the gift, the delivery boy insisted you have it 

"Please Madame, we do not want to upset our client." 

He had said with pleading eyes and a professional smile and you were left with no other choice but to take the gift in and foolishly enough, you had expected something small and simple. 

You picked up the bracelet, it looked deceptively simple, but you knew that it was anything but so. The fine diamonds winked at you under the light as you examined the piece that might have cost thousands of dollars. The package was from the most sought-after jewellery company in the country, specialising in diamonds and other precious stones and the box having 'Limited Edition' imprinted on its cover had given away the hint of its jaw-dropping price. 

But of course, the price tag was nowhere to be seen. You placed the delicate item back in the box before reaching out for your phone and clicking to call Jin. You needed to make a clear and firm statement.

Jin's happiness knew no bounds when he received your text, you wanted to meet up with him! He had predicted this. He knew, at the back of his mind, he knew that it had something to do with his recent gift- it was expensive, but nothing to him with the amount he earned every damn day and if it would lead you to him. He was all too happy to buy you hundreds of such gifts.  He already had the probability of you returning the gift to him in mind and he was all prepared to handle things this time, as he pleased.

Jin ignored the rest of the boys' curious glances, he did not miss the way their eyes twinkled at his smiling face, he was all too happy to even attempt to hide his mirth. It did not matter if people would be suspicious, if it were in his hands, he would proudly declare to the world that you belonged to him as he belonged to you, show the world that only he could kiss you, touch you, even look at you for as long as he pleased.

Already having instructed one of the security team members regarding his guest, he waited impatiently for you to appear within his sight. When he heard the footsteps approaching his studio, he found his already forming smile stretching further as he marched towards the opened door of his studio and he was delighted with the sight of you walking behind the man he had chosen himself to escort you to him.

 Your steps were timid, he could already feel your nervousness with the way you looked around, your gaze was as surprised as it was uncertain. A timid doe, you looked like a timid doe who had accidentally ended up in a lion's den and he was all too happy to take you in. 

The bodyguard gestured you towards Jin and stepped away and Jin gave you his best smile, the one he knew would surely make you blush.

Jin's smile was electrifying, his eyes had a knowing gleam in them but you were not sure. But you were sure that your resolve was already melting at the mere sight of the smile and you knew that you would melt under his gentlest of touches, perfect was the only word that could describe Kim Seokjin.

And you were far from it, you were nothing, just a speck of dust in the universe that revolved around him and the other six members. 

His face was undeniably attractive, his whole aura had the ability to turn heads, all the seven members had their unique traits to turn heads, but when your eyes landed on Kim Seokjin's bare face, it was all too different kind of enchantment. You were enticed, you were left breathless by the perfection of him, he was all grace and beauty, sprinkles of perfect humour with moonlight and his eyes, you could drown in his eyes and forget everything. 

And for a moment, perhaps you did forget everything as you gazed deep into his eyes and for once, you had deceived yourself into thinking that you saw yourself in his bright, lovely eyes.

 But you blinked that illusion away, and the overwhelming realisation of how deeply you had fallen for Kim Seokjin surrounded you, fogged your mind, stilling your whole form. It curtained everything else and it was Jin and you, only him before your eyes as if you had never seen another man before. 

Somehow, the intent of returning the precious bracelet to Jin had to be hardened as it seemed harder of a deed than ever measured by you- you would be hurting Jin and you would be having to silence the sound of your breaking heart as well. 

Jin gestured the man who had escorted you to allow both of you some privacy "I was waiting for you." 

Jin's melodious voice gently coaxed you back to reality, but your mind felt as if it were jolted awake from a beautiful dream, everything about Jin was so dreamlike after all. You smiled nervously at him.

 "I'm sorry for disturbing you, it would not take long, I promise." 

Jin chuckled and shook his head dismissively "No, never. You are not disturbing, come in, come in." his smile stretched into a glowing grin as he ushered you into his studio. 

He made you sit on a cosy leather couch that could as well serve as a single bed as soon as you were inside his little paradise. 

"Welcome to my humble abode." he sighed dramatically as he opened a little fridge that sat by a quiet corner of the studio.

 "If this is 'humble', Your Grace, I must be a peasant then." you played along, adding a dramatic bow to him before both of you burst out into laughter.  

He handed you delicious smelling cold mocha shake that still managed to smell fresh as if brought only a few hours ago, or even less.

 "Here, you like it, don't you?" the question felt familiar, like the one during your last meeting with Jin at the cafe. 

How was all this fair? He could read you too easily, he knew you too much of you. On the other hand, you would always feel inferior in his presence like he was the king and you were a servant he whimsically indulged in. You felt like you barely knew him

 The 'cafe date' had proved that point, it was like something darker lurked behind his 'perfect gentleman' persona. Something so carefully veiled, it was as impressive as unnerving. And you were at a fix, swinging between your growing feelings for Jin and being precautious. 

You sipped on the delicious shake, choosing silence as a response.

 "I was hoping you have got my gift." 

The question brought your focus back to your intent.

 "Yes, I got it."

 Your reply came out as curt before you took two large gulps of your drink to ease your nerves a bit and maybe to ignore the awkwardness quickly infecting the atmosphere.

 "Hope it was to your liking, I was initially thinking of a bracelet to have your birthstone on it though, but when I saw the platinum on—"

 "Actually, the bracelet is the reason I am here."

 You cut him off, you had to, you could no longer take him showering you with ridiculously expensive gifts to win your affections, it was anything but flattering. 

Jin smiled at you and the smile reminded you of the one at the cafe that kept you thinking, this time too, his smile did not reach his eyes and it felt almost sharp.

 "Of all things, Sweetheart, I do not like to be cut off when I'm speaking, you should know this, remember this."

 He spoke taking slow steps towards you and his eyes looked almost predatory, so much, that you could not help but scoot away a bit when he was close enough to touch you. But his one hand gripped his beverage, while the other was tucked into his pocket. 

There it was, the carefully veiled aspect of his character. You shivered, feeling cold and warm at the same time. But there was a particular warmth pooling in your abdomen.

 "I'm sorry." your voice lowered but your defence heightened. 

Jin smiled as if sensing your discomfort "It's alright, I guess- I have been a bit stressed. Why don't you finish your drink, Sweet?" 

You nodded and with a few gulps, emptied the paper glass, Jin took it from your hold and thew it in the bin, always being the perfect host that he was. But you were still tensed, licking your lips for the remenants of the beverage, you cleared your throat and looked up to Jin.

 "I came here to..."

 You trailed off as you opened your handbag and took out the box that contained the bracelet before taking his hand and placing the box on his palm.

"I wanted to return this Jin." 

You watched as his jaws tightened while he stared down at the box in silence, as if holding back from lashing out.

 When his gaze flicked on you, you almost flinched back at the fire in his eyes. You were uncomfortable, yet his darkened gaze had warmth seeping through your abdomen, it was such an unlikely and untimely occurrence. You clasped your legs together tightly.

What the hell was wrong with you?

Jin had seen this coming, you not wanting his gifts anymore, but he did not see himself getting so angry that it was difficult to contain it. He did not want to scare you away, he did not want you getting up from the couch and dashing out of his studio. But then again, you had no chance, he had already locked the door- your only route of escape, all he needed was to wait. 

His fingers clasped around the box before plastering on a smile, not caring to make it sweet or polite, he was already past the stage and by the way you squirmed, he knew that you could see that too.

Jin thought. You should be knowing when you had upset him.

 "What is the meaning of this (y/n)?"  he drawled out.

  He watched as you pursed your lips "I am returning this because I do not want it, I do not want you giving me any gift from now on, I will also return the OLED." 

Jin took in a long breath, he needed to handle this calmly, you wanted him as much as he wanted you, yet you were denying him. He had seen through the cameras how much you liked him, your feelings were clear and he was grateful to the cameras.

 "And why would you do that? I think I clearly stated that I am trying to woo you."

 You shook your head "I do not want to be wooed, courted- whatever. We are just friends Jin, keep it that way, it would be better for both of us. Please Jin, stop it. I have been trying to make you understand but you might have...misunderstood my rejection Jin."

 His teeth ground against each other as you spoke.

 "I do not understand why you would reject me (y/n), I'm no fool. I know you like me." he spoke again, simultaneously trying to calm himself down as he stepped closer.

 "I don't!" 

You snapped as you stood up from the couch, your shoulders were tense and eyes glassy. 

"I do not like you, not like that..." 

You lowered your voice, trailing off "Please understand." it was a whisper, but he was close enough to hear that. 

Jin felt his temper rising, he could only keep his waning patience for so long.

 "Quit lying (y/n), just tell me what is keeping you from accepting me and I will take care of it. You do not need to—" “

“No, I do not like you, I do not want you. Find someone else to dote upon Jin, someone who would be worth it. Someone who would reciprocate your feelings. I need to go now. Please, no more dates, no more gifts, it's all wasted." 

With that, you rushed past him and he snapped.

A hand around your waist was the first thing you registered before you were swiftly turned around with a terrifying force that led you to crash on a warm, clothed torso. You were feeling so warm already, it was almost hot and having Jin so close to you almost made your eyes flutter close, but the fire in his eyes snapped you out of it.

 "So my gifts, my affections are a waste to you, huh?" 

His voice dropped octaves, it was much deeper and while he had not raised his voice, he managed to sound intimidating enough to send chills down your spine.

 His gaze burned into yours, liquid passion fused with lunacy was all you could see and suddenly, you were very much aware of the fast forming wetness between your thighs. How could you lie straight through your teeth while drowning in his deep, dark eyes?

 "I..." suddenly your mouth felt so dry, you had to gulp before continuing "I did not mean like that."

 His hand re-adjusted itself around your waist, tightening his hold around.

"What do you mean then? Look into my eyes and tell me you do not feel anything, don't look away (Y/N), look here." he hissed out the last part as you reflexively diverted your eyes.

 You felt aroused and terrified- all at the same time. The feelings worked like a boulder on your shoulder. His other hand came to hold your face in a gentle but firm grip, compelling you to look into his molten gaze once more.

 "Do not lie to me, do not lie to yourself (Y/N). You like me too, I see it every time I look into your eyes." 

The way his hot breath ghosted over your lips made you gasp, jolts of desire shot through your body and it felt odd. 

What was happening to you? 

This was...This was so addictive, his warmth engulfing you whole, closer than ever. It was so overwhelming, that all you wanted was to look away, but Jin's hold on your chin was gentle but unrelenting. You thought his eyes darkened further if it were possible.

 "I...I don't—" 

Your words melted in your mouth as soon as his pillowy, soft and beautiful lips captured yours. Your eyes widened and you felt everything pause, your mind was emptied of the anxiety, the fear, the pain. There was nothing only the euphoric feeling of his lips devouring yours, you were still frozen, unable to react, but you were hyper-aware of the rapidly-forming moisture between your thighs and you realised how awfully wet you were and it was becoming uncontrollable with each passing moment. 

You had to get out of the place, the feeling, the want was fast on its way to turning into an ache, a burn, a thist too strong to resist and you did not want to give in to any temptation, that would only complicate things further.

Your hands came to push him away but his grip only tightened, you began to frantically pat on his shoulder, indicating that you wanted him to let go, pull away.

 "Jmphh—" 

Only incoherent words came out, your attempt of speaking helped him plunge his tongue into your mouth, the wet muscle did nothing but made your body even more desperate than before, the pathetic want was turning into an ache, your protests turned desperate. 

Thankfully, Jin pulled away- his already full, lips were swollen and it just added to his beauty, he let go of your face, only to have his hand capture one of your wrists, further pressing your protests.

He scoffed at your struggles as if reading on to your declining ferocity. You gasped as he pulled you closer, pressed you so close, you were tempted to take a whiff of his intoxicating cologne 

"Please..." you begged.

 If only you could get out of the place and hide behind your closed doors- maybe relieve yourself but you had to be away from Jin. You licked your rapidly drying lips.

 "Jin please." 

You tried to wriggle out of his iron grip once more- nothing, instead, it felt as if his grip was even tighter.

 "Oh, Sweetheart." his heavy voice had never been more sensual, or at least it felt so.

 But what caught you off guard was his lips attaching themselves to your throat and you knew that you barely had any control over your own body. You gasped and heaved at the action, feeling so incredibly aroused- like liquid passion and desire flooded into your system and the want became an ache.

 "Just tell me you want me as much as I want you. Accept it now, Sweetheart, we are meant to be together, why are you resisting me?"

Jin could hear your racing heart, it was erratic, yet there was something so peaceful about it. You did not reply, your focus on the way his lips trailed down your neck, trying to find one spot that would further melt you under his touch. 

His measure might have been a bit…drastic- but he knew that he needed it, he needed to give you a push and finally, you were realising your long-suppressed need for him- you were giving in like he had given in so long ago. 

He would give up everything for you, all but you. You were the only person he could never give up on and he would not let anyone take you away from him.

Not even you yourself.

Jin smirked in delight when he felt your while form shudder as your superficial struggles began to die down. He sucked hard on a spot he found, eliciting a hiss from you, mixed with pain and pleasure. He watched in glee as the bruising began to appear on your delicate skin.

 You gasped again when his lips proceeded even further, lower than your neck, to your collarbones, as much as your blouse allowed his lips to access, you spoke again. 

"Please Jin...Let go. I have to-I have to—" another gasp echoed in the otherwise silent studio as he sucked a mark on your collarbone as well. 

Everyone should know that you were taken and you should remember whom you belonged to. He finally pulled away for a moment, of course. But when he did and looked at you and he regretted it right away.

 The way your head was thrown back, lips swollen and parted, glistening and eyes closed while you panted and shuddered in his hold, he realised how your breasts were pressed against his, he could already imagine them spilling from their confinement. And he realised how awfully hard he was. He let go of your wrist and cradled your face

 "You just have to say yes, accept this burn and be mine as much as I am yours, Baby." 

He coaxed as he watched you keenly, how you were losing the bits of control you had.

 The drug worked slowly, at such a convenient pace that it would never feel as if something was wrong, in your mind, it was your bodily response.

It was your ache though- yes, it was your ache, you would have run if it were some other man but you were there, not being able to resist the burning ache for him, only for him. 

Your hand surprisingly came to hold his arms, fingers dug into his shirt, you held him so tightly. Finally, you were clinging to him instead of attempting to leave.

 "Please..." you whispered as your eyes opened, hooded, pupils dilated.

Perfect, such a perfect little doe she looks like.

Jin thought and almost groaned at the sight. So vulnerable, helpless, cornered, so delectable.

 "Tell me you love me too, at least tell me you like me, you want me. Stop fighting it Sweetheart, stop fighting it. You are my sweet girl are you not?" 

Your lower lip was between your teeth, hinting towards the war within you as you tried to cling to the last of the reasoning left within you.

 "I..." you panted out, your hip subtly buckling against his prominent tent.

"Just let go, Baby, just let go. Surrender yourself to me." he cooed at you as he held you by your hips, aligning your from to his.

 "I just...I li-ke you so much Jin, so much." finally, you accepted it, there was no holding back, nothing could keep you from him now. 

“I know Sweet, I know.” he cooed, feeling your hips attempting to grind against his.

Jin grinned in victory before hoisting you up from the ground in his arms and bringing you to the couch, your shoulders slumped but your burning gaze matched his in intensity as you eyes him in your lust-haze.

 "You are mine." he declared while hovering above your form "Say that you want me as much as I want you, say that you have always wanted me." 

Your lips parted to repeat but he was losing control, his lips quickly crashed on yours, feeling the vibration of your small moans and whimpers as he explored the wet cavern. You opened your mouth wider as he kissed you deeply, filling in all the passion. He gave in everything to the kiss and you took in, you kissed him back with the ferocity that surprised him.

Why were you doing that? You had no idea. How you ended up like that? You did not even care anymore. All you knew was that Jin's tongue in your mouth felt amazing, the kiss was like a kiss from heaven and you were dripping wet for Kim Seokjin.

Nothing mattered, all you wanted was a relief from the delicious ache, all you wanted was him, you could not think, you could not speak, you could not even see anything beyond him. 

You were breathless, your lungs burnt for oxygen as he continued to kiss you, but there was a relief as well, months of desire that had been suppressed, the emotions, everything came crashing down. You were so ready for him, so willing, you had never felt that way about anyone before, never wanted another man with such ferocity. But then again, you never met a man like him before.

I really dislike jikookers who act like armys(I guess they are armys anyways) like nothing is going on and Jungkook is a victim when actually Jimin is treated unfairly.

I also hate how many care so much about outside validation. Who cares that Jimin’s solos don’t like Jungkook?! Who care that them or many armys don’t think jikook is the best bts duo?Jungkook’s solos were trying to get Jimin is trouble with the military just a few days ago, but this is what’s getting you upset?!

Anyways, I’m happy that at least you are an honest one who neither became a Jungkook anti or act obvlious to the differential treatment like them.

I'm so done and tired of fans with no backbone or who are just plain dumb. Seriously, we meet idiots everyday in our day-to-day life, encountering them online is more likely. It's like their brain is not capable of having what may look like complicated thoughts about a complex issue. It goes in overdrive so the solution is to shut it all down and just use the most simple basic process that perhaps lacks logic.

All those issues in the comments and what I also see in general on twitter are dumb. Everything is so dumb and ridiculous. Caring if a group of fans likes another group or another idol? What the fuck? Who gives a shit? We only need to take a look around us or watch the news and it will show you how out of touch all this sounds like.

All this fandom fight is kids play and when something actually serious happens, like trying to involve the ministry of defense because a certain group is homophobic, there's tweets for 24h condemning it and then back to the usual bullshit.

I'm not saying every fan, every shipper is insane. It wouldn't make sense of me to say that. But good god, get a grip. No one will be able to convince another one of anything or being able to win an argument on the damn internet. It's all a waste of time and I'm so tired seeing fans talking to trolls all day, on twitter and on tumblr all day.

Fic Rec: Fan Edits/Vines as Players

I know that I haven’t posted a fic rec for a while (I work on a mega fic rec at the moment, but between school and exams I don’t have much time or energy). But I thought I would do something different right now. I don’t know if it would be the most entertaining or comfortable, however that’s the best I could manage with the limitation of this site.

In general I think that there are so many tallented people on this site, and I am a big fan of seeing what people come up with. When it comes to hockey edits I salute my hat every single time. You need to think about the perfect song, the footage to pick from, think of the nerative. So, in order to show my appriciation, and to tell you some of my too detaled thoughts about it, I present to you this fic rec.

I put a link to every one of the videos, but in order to put them all in this one long post I didn’t use reblog. I hope that you still enter the links and read what I had to say about them.

-When you touch me like this

What can I say, sometimes you just want to see players beating the shit out of each other while a romantic song is played in the background. Other than that, I love the disonance between the song and the vibe of it and the visual content. It crack me every time.

I just love how people have the time and energy to think about those sorts of compilations. There are a few good ones in here, but if I have to choose the highlight one it would be the TK/Nolan Patrick one.

Plus, the fact that they are the last of a certain era of the team didn’t help.

The edit is good. But also I had to put it here, because if you read the rest of the post you will see how she posted a primer of Claude Giroux. And when I mean a primer I mean a detailed book, including pictures. about each and every stage of his career. This is unreal with how much this is good an an awsome reading. I will recommend it to everyone who is listening.

It short but it’s literally what he did.

-You’re the last of the real ones

This song just capsulate perfectly how we as fans sees him and his departure from the team. Players are humans, but sometimes we as fans see them as so much more, and we see them as those unatainable. However, at the same time they help us with ours lives. And I just think that she did such a good job with this song, and how she poposefully picked the upbit parts with the happy footage of Claude. Because that’s what it’s was all about, and he loved this team, and gave it his all. 

She mentioned it in her post, but also the fact that he was the last remaining peace of the old Flyers team, made him the last one. So with him gone, it’s literally not the same Flyers team anymore. And as a relatively new fan of the sport, recently is the faze where I need to deal with this phenomenon for the fist time. 

-I think I’ve seen this film before

And if the last vidoe showed the upbeat part of Claude Giroux, with this one she just hit me in the feeling. Claude went through the Flyers trading their captain, he’s been through the Flyers not knowing if they’d make a mistake to name him captain after what happend with Richards. But Claude showed them and to anyone who doubted him, how it was the right choice. And to see how it all just forgotten and they traded him regardless how he wanted to stay in this team for the rest of his career.

The lyrics that stood the most to me were “Who am I defending now?” because it showed perfectly how on one hand he capsulated this team and its image so much that when you think about the Philadelphia Flyers, you think about Claude Giroux. But on the other hand, now he no longer is part of the team. And the fact that he didn’t even have a cup to show for all those years, kind of put you on this inbetween place where you don’t know how to think about this team, this city that yo gave your life to it. That yo literally built your adult life in, and now you just need to leave and move on. Whether you want to or not.

-Don’t take the money

this one is also on the more upbeat videos, but I really like the verse with the “While we fight”. Beacuse it really shows the relathionship between Claude and management. Plus the song brings up the constant scale (that we as fans like to forger sometimes) between “This is the team, and this is how fun they are” to “Hockey is a besnuess and we need to look at the numbers, regardless of the player”.

And if all the other Claude Giroux videos gave me feelings, this one is the one that made me ugly cry more times than I could count on.

This video is just amazing. It shows how the cycle is always reapiting itself, sometimes it’s abrupt and sometime it takes some time, but in the end it always repeats itself; It also show how as players grow old their place in the legue, in their team, gets questioned time and time again. Despite the fact that they could still be producing, or can have an integral part of the team. And especially when it came to Claude Giroux, it’s really showed how despite him wanting to stay, it didn’t matter. and the fact that the team as a whole had a meltdown didn’t matter, it was easy to blame it on the captain.

And on a more personal note. I didn’t heard this song before. And it wrecked me to hear it, especially the part about “How can a person know everything at 18, but nothing at 22?” I mentioned it on a different fic rec, but I enlisted to the army of my country when I was 18. And in highschool I was very optimistic about this and thought that I knew I it would go. But after I enlisted I found out it was nothing like I imagined it to be. So last year, as I literally was 22 and had to figure out my life after the worst 3 years of my llife, this song just hit me in the feelings. I know that you didn’t really sign up for this rambling, but I had to talk about it, because that’s why this edit have a special place in my heart. Because it’s not just the nerative and the emotional song that hit me.

Our oldest character thus far, in terms of game release dates! Not counting Metal Sonic, since his fuckability status is currently MIA until Sonic himself is tackled. Funny enough, this one's gonna be pretty easy, despite how major of a character he is- but I'm getting ahead of myself. As usual, we'll start with Sonic Channel archives, because clearly those are a reliable source of information. Clearly. No sarcasm there whatsoever. Totally.

Oh. This again. Gentle reminder that these ages are nowhere to be seen in the original Japanese manual. They were likely made up on the spot by some guy Sega USA with very little communication between anyone who may be an even remotely qualified to say anything on these ages. Oh, and here's proof that the age is not listed whatsoever. Alongside a link to the entire Japanese manual.

So, that's out the window! How will we ever know if Knuckles is fuckable? How could we ever, ever know?

... Oh.

So, as we've covered previously, Rouge is, in fact, very thoroughly fuckable. She is the most sexualized character in the series, and her often suggestive nature and behavior is pretty integral to her identity. So, she's an adult... Who has been Knuckles's shiptease ever since Sonic Adventure 2, and continued to be so in official material, canon or not. Although it's not explored often, it's still thrown in here and there. Not a subscriber myself, but the fact that the official content is so willing to have this going on shows that they're at least even in terms of maturity. Otherwise, this would be weird! Really, really weird! And I do not wanna live in a world where my favorite gender-envy-inducing bat lady is going after minors.

So, his interactions with Rouge already ensure that, unless Sega is promoting really creepy behavior, Knuckles is most certainly an adult who can consent and could absolutely be in a relationship with another adult. On top of that- even if his age of 16 from his Heroes manual was true at the time of that game happening, there's something the series almost never touches on that would instantly invalidate it-- completely ignoring the fact the ship had already been teased before Heroes, in SA2, which would, again, make it really weird--, which is that believe it or not, despite these being funny anthro cartoon animals with magic powers or whatever, time does still pass in the Sonic universe. Sonic Generations shows the cast celebrating Sonic's in-universe birthday, and Sonic Forces has a 6-month timeskip in the middle of the game. Add on top of that the fact that a metric fuckton of games have come out since Heroes and likely didn't just happen within the same week, there's absolutely no way that Knuckles could still be 16, assuming he even was 16 in the first place when Heroes came out, which he most likely was not.

Yes, it's a series with cartoon animals that often adheres to cartoon logic, but if it was completely batshit insane and had no sense of time whatsoever or any ability to take its timeline and worldbuilding seriously, there wouldn't be an entire lorekeeping team at Sega now, would there? Yes, that's a thing. As of somewhat recently, matter of fact! But, that's a side tangent.

So, with all that, let's answer the question;

Can you fuck Knuckles The Echidna?

I mean... Yeah? Obviously?

He's literally being soft-shipped with the sluttiest character in the series by a long shot in official content, he's been around the longest out of anyone in the cast, already being incredibly familiar with the island he inhabits and skilled in his debut game, and overall has no traits that could point at him being that young. Again, he's probably about on average with Rouge on that end. So, yes-

Look, I love ep7, especially on rewatches. Most rom-coms run into the trouble of not showing the audience our protagonists bond. They rarely get to relax around each other before the relationship really starts but that's what this episode is.

We've got Ed, who's starting to get comfortable/settled in around Stede. Stede having a fun little adventure, trying to make Ed thinks he's cool. Ed genuinely having a shitty day and finally getting that Stede cares about him. It's really fucking sweet. This gif just wraps that all up in a cute ball. The fit? Amazing. The lil hop? Adorable. Edward essentially telling everyone to shut up and just let Stede have his fun? Cute pre-boyfriend moment. He's a goofball, and this episode needs more love on here.

Yeah, yeah. Ed's here. But the scene is focusing on Stede and resolving an arc (my favorite thing), so it counts! Stede has issues feeling accepted. He has gone without a 'crew' for so long that he's unapologetically who he is. He already feels along, why the fuck would he care about dressing up and being a bit too 'feminine'? They already make fun of him for not being enough, he already feels along. Why wouldn't he try to be happy not giving a shit about what they think?

So, in ep 10, we see a Stede who feels accepted into a family. He gets to get up there with a silly little in-joke and have people put their trust in him. Are they doing this to get back at the Navy? Yeah. But Stede build himself a place where he feels like he can be accepted and welcomed. I don't always see Stede in the best light. Accountability is a huge thing for me, and S2 better include this guy fessing up for the hurt he's caused. But this scene always makes me smile when I think about it.

:). I know what I'm about. I'm simple, and if you've been here a while, you already know. We get to see Edward proudly rocking Stede's lil handkerchief. The tummy is great, and so is seeing his tattoos. I always love a fingerless glove, and his jewelry is on point. Yes, I love Ed in soft fabrics. Especially the loose poet shirt moment in ep 4. But in my head, this is Ed being a frat guy and trying to seduce Stede. 'Usually the exposed skin and touching works :('. Cause this poor guy has had to seduce assholes like Jack, and isn't comfortable with opening up yet. Ed's also just having fun exposing Stede to 'pirate' things which is a favorite trope of mine.

SteddyHands specific- Stede&Ed working together/competing for Izzy to choose them first. Especially if Ed&Stede already know that Izzy has a crush on them but Izzy doesn't. I don't read this ship too much anymore, but this always made me happy.

Izzy Specific-Post S1 Izzy hunting down Stede, hijinks ensuing. Izzy gets injured, and this starts his character jornery into a mentally healthier person. Him getting loved tbh. Aslo, Izzy getting described as short. He's really not that much shorter than most of the crew. I just love when it's brought up.

Long fic- Anything character based, post S2 'reunion'. Essentially skipping how they all resolved S1 and skips to the fun parts. Love Izzy learning/starting to care for the crew. If reading a fic kinda feels like going to therapy, you're doing it right. Huge shoutout to anyone who has tried to break down how Izzy's brain works for angst fic. Also, Ed and Stede being held accountable for some of their more shitty actions.

Short Fic- You know what, I'll say it. I like soulmate (and adjacent) AUs. Love me a Hanahaki, or similar curses. If there's a story reason two characters are dubiously forced to admit their feelings, I'm there. I love that 'what if they don't like me' rant even though its destined, I love the holding yourself back to keep another person happy shit. Yes, irl, that'd be fucked. But since it's a short fic, it doesn't need to worry about all that.

Trope Tropes- Buttons being a Disney princess around animals. Lucius living in the walls. Izzy swears every other sentence. Any media of the Revenge (music, stories) being super out of time period. Two characters are falling in love, but are the last people to realize it. Stede being a pirate parent.

Ed’s hair or Stede’s hair:

I agree with what likethehotsauce said. Both fit the character really well. I can't imagine Stede or Ed suddenly shaving their head. It's a part of who they are.

If this is about me wanting their hair? I'm choosing Ed's. I've had Stede length hair for the past 2 years, and miss braiding my hair. Also, his hair looks soft as shit. Good to run your fingers through, etc.

longest gap between rewatches:

July 2022-January 2023. I watched it like 13 times post ep 10 aired, then immediately jumped into fan content. I'm a huge 'character' person when consuming media, so I generally enjoy doing that vs rewatching the show itself again.

Lucius is Hiding in the Ship vs. Lucius is Dead and a Ghost:

No corpse= Not dead. Once Ed and Stede reunite I don't think Ed would be able to forgive himself if he actually killed him. Lucius was saved by someone on the ship and hidden away. I do think Lucius will be discovered before the captains reunite. As much as I love ghosts, our guy is safe. Fearing for his life, but safe.

favorite Revenge crew member: OG Revenge-Frenchie or Buttons. If y'all haven't written him in your fics, including Buttons. He's so much fun to make the 'Cassandra' of your work! Let him be ominous and all-knowing, it's a great time! Frenchie because I'm always up for a bard, and he's a character that has so much potential. From being a bard to an 'assassin in training' with Izzy & Jim. They're fun to throw in!

Bumbleby is a fun fandom because, unlike most shippers, they'll be calm as hell if the two get a kiss

Random RWBY Headcanon's Part Maybe Six

Headcanon and idea time.

Yang and Ruby can have a fully functioning conversation with upwards of seven people at a time all while capturing each other in headlocks, elbowing each other, and full-on boxing matches.

Every time Weiss, Yang, or Ruby even speaks about the trials and tribulations of having siblings Blake becomes a thousand times happier she's an only child.

Blake can drink almost anyone under the table. It's actually just a natural thing due to her being a Faunus but no one else needs to know that.

Weed is legal in Patch but not so much in central Vale, so Yang, Ruby, and a bunch of other Patch kids got very crafty about it.

Every student and teacher alike is aware that every Patch kid has a stash but there so impossible to find it's like a scavenger hunt. If you can actually find a stash then by all means it's all yours because you must have spent weeks trying to find it.

Weiss once offhandedly mentions how much one of her dresses costs and it has orphans Ren and Nora stumbling, not to mention Blake who's spent a few years as a criminal who sets up camp in the woods like Weiss had them cracking inside.

Everyone places bets on a Ruby vs Pyrrha fight that never ends up happening. They just wanna see the young prodigy and the pride of Mistral fight each other that's it.

The dance was far from Jaune's first time in a dress.
