CHARLIE

Honestly I can see Charlie herself being somewhere on the spectrum! So she can relate to you in some way when you're having some struggles. Shes so so accommodating when it comes to your needs, quite literally bending over backwards to make sure the hotel is a safe space for you. Theres likely a sensory room somewhere in the hotel, where you (or really anyone!) Can go to unwind and just vibe. Protective of you, as she is with everyone else she cares about. You.. may have to get her to cool it if things get a little too heated. Warm and smells like apple pie, and I dont know about you guys but that's possibly one of the most pleasing and calming combos

VAGGIE

Very quick to shut things down if someone tries to get on your case for your needs for whatever reason, same goes for anyone who does it without intending to be harmful/doing it unknowingly. Shes your guard dog, and shes going to make sure you're safe mentally and physically. Likely stands trying to choose between different fidgets to pack for an outing trying to determine which one might come more in handy. Packs both. Actually she definitely has a pack somewhere for you that has a bunch of items to carry on you to help you out (water, headphones, ect ect). Despite that she does think you're capable and will step back if her worries cause her to overstep and make you feel bad. Vaggie does tend to have trouble gauging how much effort and feeling into things

ALASTOR

In the nicest way possible, he does not care. Obviously he doesn't care in the "I dont care that you're ND and I'm not going to avoid doing things that trigger you", it's a "I dont care because it is what it is", and besides hes got manners! Sometimes the static ambience around him can be comforting, like white noise.. sometimes he hums or softly plays music if you need something to focus on during an overwhelming moment. However if it makes things worse it's getting cut the second you say something. You're the only person allowed into his radio tower, if you need an escape

LUCIFER

As stated above I headcanon that Charlie is somewhere in the spectrum so he already has an idea of what to do to make things easier and more welcoming for you! Thankfully his home isnt too chaotic and he doesnt usually switch up his routine so if routines mean a lot for you Lucifer is your man! Puts his crafting skills to good use and makes you personalized fidget toys! He loves talking to you but if you need him to be quiet for a while he'll be understanding and work quietly on his ducks. Similarly to his daughter he doesnt let anyone try to make you feel bad for trying to tend to your needs. Though hes less of a pushover/holds his temper a little easier than charlie, but hes still quick to shut anything down

ADAM

In the beginning he can be a little.... how does one say this nicely? Not the best.. hes not at all educated so you're probably going to have to sit him down and find a way to get him to listen. Hes a little misguided when it comes to helping you moving forward but there is a new added effort in there. Takes you away from environments that are too overwhelming for you, or tells everyone to shut the hell up.. which might make things worse thanks to his shouting. He's got the spirit but his methods are not the best. His wings are soft and as long as you dont pluck anything out, he let's you run your fingers through his feathers. Would get sucked into those sensory and/or asmr videos with you

LUTE

I can see her being on the spectrum too tbh but I dont think shes aware, so anytime you try to bring up the possibility of her being ND she kind of just dismisses it. "Everyone does that," mindset. While she doesnt totally understand all of your habits and needs, she still does her best to make sure you're satisfied. She can be callous with others, often causing conflict to those who choose not to listen to an exterminator.. though to heavens citizens what status to exterminators have..? Shrugs. Shes a little.. tense? Harsh? No harsh sounds mean. Shes not used to being tender for someone else, so this is all a learning process for her.. its going to take a while before she grows accustomed to you autism or not.. but shes trying, because she does love you even if shes not used to these feelings!

Okay, second post, this ones mostly about Feyre because honestly, as of chapter 3 I havent really noticed Tamlin being out of character and from what Ive heard his character assassination was supposed to happen very quickly. Idk, right now he just seems like the same guy but traumatized although I'll fully admit that I didnt care that much for him outside of the Feylin romance (which was pretty sweet but too boring for me) so maybe I just didnt pay enough attention to him to fully grasp his character

Feyre is frustrating to me right now because I dont think shes out of character either, right now shes also just the same woman but traumatized, but like, I already know the extent to which her character will be bent for the sake of Rhysand. In these first three chapters she literally thinks something along the lines of "What's there for me to do but sit at home and spend Tamlin's money" Tell me, what does she end up doing in the night court huh????

Another thing thats frustrating is that Feyre clearly has issues communicating her feelings and wants, I know because I also had issues with that, and instead of learning that very valuable skill of telling others about your inner world and trying to work on her relationships (with both Tamlin and with her sisters), shes just gonna end up with a guy who can read her mind so theres no need for her to challenge herself and grow in any way. Yay. One thing especially stuck out to me in this regard was her attituide towards wearing dresses. Feyre does not like wearing dresses, its not like she never got to wear them back at home even though she wanted to, she just doesnt like wearing them in her day-to-day life, but she feels like she has to because she thinks its what Tamlin wants and because she thinks that if she wears pants its gonna somehow signal to the citizens of the spring court that something is incredibly wrong. But again, she doesnt tell anyone this, she doesnt ask Tamlin if he can just explain to everyone that everything is fine and that Feyre just has an unconventional way of dressing, which he would probably be fine with if its still the same guy from the first book. And it doesnt even seem like Tamlin directly made any kind of comment to her about the dresses she wears, she just saw that he was happy when he saw her wear them, which couldve well been him being happy to see her in general but she doesnt even consider that

Theres also the fact that its very unclear what she wants/what her problem is. Now, this actually isnt something that bothers me that much on its own, Feyre is traumatized and lost, obviously she doesnt know exactly what she wants at this point beyond "the situation Im in sucks and makes me feels bad, I want to get out", I think what bothers me is mostly the knowledge that Tamlin is gonna get blamed for a lot of this stuff when its really not his fault.

And I do want to make it clear that I dont think hes doing a great job handling this situation, I know a lot of people in the acotar critical sphere find his actions understandable and justifiable from his perspective and thats true, but hes still doing a bad job handling Feyre's emotional state. Like, one of your beloved's main issues is that she feels horrible because she feels trapped at home, for the love of god just let her go outside on her own. Maybe send her to village thats far inland or close to the border to the mortal realm, surely those monsters are not gonna manage to come that far if youre all going on patrols to kill them as soon as possible. And even if they do, the people of any village are gonna bend over backwards in order to protect their capital c Cursebreaker, shes gonna be fine

But, to get back to my original point, even if Tamlin was a daemati or whatever like Rhys and could read her mind the way she needs it to be read, he would still not be able to figure out what exactly Feyre needs right now because she doesnt know it herself! I literally read all of her thoughts and I dont know! Does she want to help others and be responsible for a whole bunch of people because its what shes always known to do? Does she want to avoid resonsibility for now because she wants to recover from her traumatic childhood of having the responsibility of keeping her family alive on top of all the new UTM-trauma? Its hard to say and that makes sense for Feyre at this point in her life, but she cant just blame people for not understanding her when she doesnt properly understand herself and refuses tl verbalize her feelings

hey, could you go into more detail with what you mean with ‘being precious’ with characters. im curious and i like your writing a lot <3

i think it's difficult to express without it reading as just "mary sue" critique, you know. tvtropes bullshit. but it is kind of a thing that occupies the same space. and atop that, it's a thing that's a little bit difficult to express without context but i think there are three pretty meaningful examples of a character being made worse by the author from which you are smart enough to discern what i mean

the thing which ties them together is this: you are meant to come out of their story with an affection for the character that rivals the author's care for them - the author wants you to feel as much for this character as they do, but is afraid of portraying the character in flawed or even grounded ways, when the character's flaws or ways in which they are a grounded character tend to be what makes them relateable or worth caring about.

example number one is albus dumbledore. the end of harry potter is genuinely one of the worst things i've ever read, even before the terf shit, and this is best expressed through the way characters around him act - he is always right, except when he's wrong, but the ways in which he's wrong are okay because the character archetype that he turns out to be in the last book before he dies is "guy who makes the hard decisions because nobody else will", winston churchill guy. and naturally, jk rowling adores him so much that she made him the protagonist of her flop three-movie pentology even though there was a better protagonist right there with newt. he is a character who is thoroughly adored by the author in a way that ruins the story.

example number two is johnny, from the room. tommy wiseau is by no means a great artist, but i think a lot of people resent analyzing the room as art because it is so obviously bad and i think that takes away from its most compelling fact. johnny is characterized as too good for this world, as though the world itself was closing in on him, ready to take him out. his future wife is cheating with his best friend, lying about him being an abuser to her friends, his boss doesnt give him his promotion for no reason, his mother in law would put aside her cancer diagnosis to further tear apart her daughters marriage, and through this, johnny does nothing wrong. he was always too good for this sinful world. he is a character who is thoroughly adored by the author in a way that ruins the story.

example number three, as mentioned in that last ask, is lin manuel miranda's portrayal of alexander hamilton, which kind of combines the both of the previous examples. throughout hamilton, alexander hamilton is repeatedly portrayed as a tortured artist, a guy who writes like he's running out of time, a guy whose writing is so powerful that he could have meaningfully changed the world, if he were not also, a dipshit idiot who got shot in a duel. and hamilton is interesting, because the story itself bends over backwards to imagine new outs for him. when his wife, who is so upset by his actions that she exempts herself from being in the writings from which hamilton was based, something i am to believe is made up whole cloth for hamilton, the story itself goes out of its way to say "what if the stuff that his wife destroyed would have redeemed him" when the answer is, probably not, he was a shithead, but lin manuel miranda can't help but ask, "what if hamilton was actually just like me fr, a misunderstood dude who just wanted to make great art", he is a character who is thoroughly adored by the author in a way that ruins the story.

i dont really want to use the term "mary sue" or whatever because it is pretty loaded, and honestly, if the story you're telling justifies this feeling, i tend to really enjoy characters who really are just flawless, characters who the authors love and want you to love too. but theyre character studies - half blood prince and deathly hallows are almost entirely about dumbledore and his relationship to the cast, and it's the worst shit i've ever read. the room would be so unbelievably forgettable without johnny. and hamilton is hamilton.

and its the kind of thing i found myself prone to doing too - that kind of feverish, "he would not fucking say that" behavior about a character who would definitely, absolutely do that. i felt this way for a while about jane in post-canon, and i still kind of think post-canon jane deserved a better arc, to make a tragedy out of her existence, but that is a desire i have because i care a lot about jane crocker, you know?

so leg prosthetics au right? I'm a BIG FAN of all the duality in trigun so I feel like it would be really cool for there to be that contrast between different elements of vash's backstory and his injurys. since vash lost his arm to knives protecting plants and humans ,showing his dedication to peace and love and also his self-sacrificing tendencies, I really like the idea of vash loosing his legs in a similar way, but at the hands of humans.

[ok imma give this a quick lil content warning cuz it's kinda body horror/generally kinda messed up? so yeah readers discretion advised keepy yourself safe 💜]

what if plants have a natural instinct to give? we've seen that they're sentient, so it would make sense for them to have some kind of reason to just chill in tanks and let humans take advantage of their abilities. hence, plants naturally want to give. and vash, being a plant, isnt exempt from this. he gives himself away in everything he does. bending over backwards for everyone he meets, even to the point of snapping his own spine. never complaining, never asking for thanks, or even thinking he's deserving of it.

so what does a young vash, tiny and alone and reeling from the crash, from his brothers betrayalmurdersin left me, nai left me alone, I have nothing he took everything Iwannagohome, tiny vash, so alone, so desperate to atone, come across a town. a town that's plant is dead he couldn't save them, not himself, not the ships, not rem, not nai. if he'd been betterfasterstongersmarter . . . their plant is dead they killed it. the last run. he'd seen it. he knows they did. he can't say no, their plant is dead and soon they will be too and it would only be for a little while, just to get by, please we need your help he sees the way their smiles don't quite reach their eyes. sees how they're tears arent quite real. he tells himself it doesn't matter. this is his atonement. his punishment he says yes. he says of course. he says I'll help however I can whatever you need.

it's to late for a mechanic. they need a plant.

he says yes anyway. they wouldn't right? they'll be kind.

theres no room for kindness when people are so thirsty.

he's to tall to fit in the tank. so they make him fit. generators don't need legs.

he's there for so long. vash loses track of how long he's in the tank for. days? weeks? years?

his marking spread. feathers molt off generators don't fly

they clip his wings. generators dont need to run, fly, walk.

they get another plant, eventually. he's still in the tank.

they said they'd let him go. it's fine. it's ok. they must still need him, populations gorow after all. he ignores his sister screaming in his head. he tells her it's fine! they need me here more than I need to be anywhere else (he'd rather be anywhere else. he wants to go home. he doesnt want to do this anymore but he hastohastohastogivegivegivegiveGIVEREPENT)

he learns to breath liquid. he learns to float and provide and it's ok. its not. he's getting weaker and weaker. he can't give what they're asking

his sister is dying. it's his fault if he was betterfasterstonger he could take the burden from her, make more, GIVE more. he doesn't think about how he's already giving everything how they've taken everything

his sister is dying. they don't realize it yet he can help he can save her he knows he can he's done it so many times it's all hes good for all he can do heneexstohelplethimhelplethimhelpherplease.

for the first time since they put him in here, vash cries. he pounds the glass with the only limb he has left weak and atrophied from disuse weak just like the rest of him uselessuselessuseless. when his arm gives out he uses his head. banging the glass, filling the tank with red red like geraniums red like the last run red tanks mean death death deathmurder nai

they don't listen. his bubbling screams in the tank are distracting apparently, so they muzzle him.

he watches as she dies. his sisters last run fuels their holiday light show.

vash cries. his tears lost in the fluid of the tank.||

more time passes. the plant operators get bored. they've never had an independent before. they want to research. they want to open, cut, understand.

more time. floating. creating. being sucked dry, not that vash would think of it that way. he CAN'T. can't think of it that way, it would mean it was all for nothing. it would mean nai was right. it would mean they leftfoughtbleddied for nothing oh god what has he done, what have they done

nai comes to town. vash can feel him, in his mind, in their bond. he tries to tell his brother to run.

nai hears his brother. his twin. his angel. his other half. in a nowhere town in this forsaken desert. he hears vash cry, beg nai to leave. he tracks his angel down, finds the plant operation. he sees the tank. he sees the angel floating.

he sees vash smile.

how dare they how dare they WHAT HAVE THEY DONE HE KNEW THEY WERE GREEDY AND CRUEL AND ABHORRENT BUT WHATHAVETHEYDONE

Millions Knives razes the city to the ground.

vash cries for them. for the monsters that did this to him.

vash begs their forgiveness

nai knows then and there, his brother will never take his revenge on these parasites because that's what they are. they were given the blessing of an angel, and they tore his wings off. like the legends of old, humans would always be Icarus, flying to the sun by any means necessary, clipping others wings to fly themselves that much quicker to their meaningless deaths. they forced nais brother to be their wings, so knives will be the hellfire that melts their wax and throws them to the damned earth they came from. no, vash won't take revenge.

so millions Knives will do it for him.

had such a galaxy brained moment talking with blue the other day and im gonna try and recapture it

javier is, a very very very morally grey person. he is nice and compassionate and so caring and kind. but he is SUCH a hypocrite with his morals. he has this whole thing with anim about how murder is bad and inexcusable but he got his mom killed. and his reasoning was "she was bad" and she was, but also, its subjective. javier is like "bad people deserve to die and good people do not" but then picks and chooses who is bad and who is good. anim by his definition, a killer, is bad, but he makes an exception for them because .... theyre hot and hes drawn to them and he loves them. which isnt a good excuse. he has such a complex about how much Better he is than zora and how he would Never Stoop So Low as if he didnt play a part in her becoming who she became. and hes really not much better than her at all.

and he loves selfishly. he "loves" selfishly because he doesnt LOVE most people, his relationships literally went "this person is showing interest in me, i need to bend over backwards to their every whim and be absolutely perfect and passive and never ever have an opinion or do anything wrong" and he does it "to make people happy" he thinks, and a part of him does, but a main reason he does it is the dopamine. he gets praised for being a good person and so helpful and kind and considerate. people say they love him and thats a reward he strives for because he didnt get that love as a child and hes trying to get it now. but he doesnt truly Love anyone before anim. and he realizes this because he starts trying to make them happy, and they dont give him anything. he gets no reward and that would usually turn him away, but he finds that he doesnt CARE if they reciprocate his feelings or if theyre nice back. he just wants them to be happy no matter WHAT and that is true love.

also..... he is a little. in DEVILTOWN au only he does fuck a patient (august) even though hes not "officially" a patient. august refuses to get help unless javier sleeps with him so javier does it to help him. but like. hes also getting 20 year old twink hole. again his intentions are like, mostly pure, but not fully. and then hes hypocritical with like "oh but thats bad, but im different because hes not officially my patient and its the only way" and blah blah.

all this to say like he is so flawed. hes a great person but hes so flawed. and i love it for him so much. firehazard isnt this edgy little morally grey twink and her perfect sunshine husband, its these two deeply flawed individuals who end up falling in love for the first time and helping each other grow as people. like. javier is so special he is my meowmeow and its objectively funny because his original character was just "mr galvez" who had no character design and his only traits were "jamie and kyras whore father". and now hes epic with big tits

I do not know if I am the only one, but can they just make starmora get back together off screen if anything similar to other couples they have done? I dont think Gunn was debunking the first part, I mean he doesnt know that since he is not working at marvel anymore. I know that the "real" comment might seem weird but I think he just means that Gamora is back with the family she is deeply attached to, but that doesnt mean she doesnt consider the guardians a family to her in a way, after all Gunn said if you understand groot then tou are part of the family.

I know Pratt said he might be back but I doubt its anything big in the future, as for Zoe I could see her in pretty small stuff like cameos or small roles since she said she would like Gamora to continue. I highly doubt they will pair them up with someone else.

off the top of my head, the only time i can remember the mcu making a broken up (not just in the literal sense of "they broke up" but like in general a ship that was canon and then not canon) ship canon again off-screen was between cacw and homecoming when they had pepperony go from broken up to seemingly back together again offscreen, at least enough to get engaged for the media when peter parker decided not to join the avengers, and then next time we see them ~2 years later in iw they're planning a wedding

i'd love to see starmora get together again off-screen in some way like this too, but being realistic, i just wouldn't get my hopes up. bc idt ppl, on both the studio and audience level, rly care abt peter quill or his relationship with gamora the way they do with tony or pepperony

it makes sense that they did it for pepperony bc it's tony mf stark. the dude was practically the face of the entire mcu, along with steve, for a decade. the entire avengers franchise centered him, and his relationship with pepper was part of both his solo films and every avengers ensemble film. the story of his relationship was one that you could probably find countless casual viewers of the mcu to know abt and be fans of etc. if pepper ever died we would've gotten tony probably going berserk (understandably so) in canon, followed by countless irl thinkpieces and tweets and more abt how tony was justified, tony is grieving, tony this, tony that, ad nauseam. in other words, it doesn't surprise me that canon, fandom, and general viewers would all bend over backwards to keep pepperony together, even if just for the sake of forwarding tony's arc, pepper as an individual be damned lol

with peter and gamora...i just don't see that same energy rly happening for them. i mean, even yesterday i accidentally came across an article abt how iw "rushed" peter and gamora's romance bc it was so much more serious in iw than where the two left off in vol 2 and it's like...do ppl even know 4 years passed between those 2 films? so if the general audience isn't rly that invested in starmora does marvel need to make an effort to make it canon again later?

i'm sure there will be opportunities for cameos and all that in the future for some of the gotg depending on where things go. i was just going off of the final screen of text at the end of vol 3 which suggested our next iteration of peter is gonna be a little more removed from the gotg we know, including gamora, since it Only said him. maybe he'll join up with the avengers again since he's back on earth for now and there will be some avengers characters who still remember him? idk

so to wrap this up bc again i got super wordy lol sry...i don't think anything's ever impossible, i just wouldn't be surprised if this is truly the end of the line for starmora being together "again" in canon. like i think what it is for me is i don't rly expect anyone at marvel studios to care more abt starmora than gunn, and this is the route gunn took with it (understandably) and now gunn's done, so i think things are just generally pointing more toward starmora ending here than not

pining!armin who has been in love with you - his childhood best friend - for so long he doesn't even remember when it first started. he can't make things weird for the four of you, so he keeps it to himself for the most part, aside from mikasa who is way too perceptive for her own good.

pining!armin who looks to you whenever eren tells him he's smart or calling him a boy genius for the nth time, hoping - praying - to see something more than familial pride on your sweet face. he adores knowing you love him - but it tugs on his heart thinking about the way you love him. about how it's not the way he wants you to love him.

pining!armin who bends over backwards to do his best to give you anything and everything you ever wanted, under the guise of "what are friends for, yanno?"

pining!armin who is somehow always free when you're in a bind, like you're late or class and need a ride - "I'm sorry, i know your class is in the opposite direction, but if we leave right now I think it would work- do you think? ugh damnit, my stupid alarm didn’t go off today i’m so sorry to ask-" "what? oh no, don't even worry about it, they cancelled my bio class today. It's okay, I can drive you. no worries." he's calm while he drives you, dropping you off right in front of the building and ignoring the way his heart thuds harder in his chest when you kiss him on the cheek the way you always do with the three of them. but now he's rushing over across campus to class, barely parking properly and trying to enter his class as quietly as possible. when he slumps beside eren, he's resting his forehead down on the tiny desk space in his lecture hall chair trying to still his beating heart while trying to ignore erens confused questions of why does his face look like he ran here if he drove?

pining!armin who helps you with your share of the chores because he can. He thinks it's one of the simplest things he can do without making anything too obvious. So like, when you forgot to wash the dishes on your kitchen duty last night because you had to write your paper and now you're dreading going out into the shared kitchen the next morning because you know erens annoying ass will point at the chore list that you had insisted upon and nag with his stupid lil bed head that you cannot take seriously. but his "isn't that the whole point of the chore chart, mrs.chore chart" never comes, and the dishes are done and put away and the countertop is wiped down and and the scattered jars are in the cupboards and someone even organised the fridge and you're beyond confused. mikasa - who watched you come home and immediately go to your shared room, who knows she didn't clean, and you didn't clean (since when she when she woke up you were in the same spoke as when she went to sleep) and eren definitely didn't clean - sits at the table, taking a break from typing on her laptop to look across at armin who looks like he's got his nose buried in his textbook but his eyes are on you. you let eren think you did it, but go and ask mikasa if she did it. she shakes her head no. when you ask armin the next day while he's driving you after picking you up from work, he’s waving it off. "it's nothing, really. you were exhausted last night, and I had some free time." "you're perfect. thank you, i'll do yours next time, promise 'min" "you better~ now c'mon, whatdya wanna eat?"

pining!armin who loves helping you with language classes, especially when you have to record videos for assignments. he’s jumping at the opportunity to help you and be your cameraman; he gets to hear your voice constantly and look at your face for as long as he wants? win-win for sure. he's so sure that he's mastered composure, but you somehow always find a way to crack it, and the voice you have when you tease him about blushing over your comments has become a core memory, ingrained into his brain so permanently that he was sure if someone peeked inside his head, that same giggle would float out like a music box.

pining!armin who when you lean into his hug after a long day, with your arms around his waist and grumbling into his shirt about how annoying your professor was, rub your back and finds himself looking up at the sky to compose himself and begs any god that will listen to let you stay there just a bit longer; heck, even make you fall asleep right then and there so he's got the excuse to carry you to bed (and oh god how he wishes more than anything that it could be his instead).

pining!armin who always gets you something when he goes out. not the way eren and mikasa do, bringing something back for all four of you. but he'd bring you back something just for you. a little charm to put on your bag because he remembered that time you lost yours at the carnival last spring, and this one looks almost the same and he just happened to be passing by and thought why not. or that seasonal drink you got last time but only tried it once since you grabbed it the last day it was offered and oh wow would you look at that, it's that time of year again. huh. who woulda known. you'd have to be crazy to have that in your calendar for a whole year. yup, completely whipped crazy. on the first day they are offering that drink he goes and grabs one for you on his way back from class. and with a soft knock on your door once he knows mikasa isn't in there with you, he comes in holding it behind his back and makes you guess because he's so corny and adorable and he sets it down on your desk and ruffles your hair, flopping on your bed. he swears up and down that his heart stops for too long to be healthy when your eyes go wide and you beam up at him like he just delivered you the stars in a cup - "armin, what?! how did you even get this?!? I thought this was a one time thing last year???" "oh, heh- yeah, i uh- saw the sign in their window saying it was out again, and i remembered you liked this last time, and I - i grabbed you one." "arminnnnnnn" "'s not a big deal, c'mon. just lemme know if it's good. I'll get some for us when we go study at the library tomorrow, yeah?"

pining!armin who sits on ur bed and listens to you complain about everything under the sun that went wrong in your day, partly to help you work through it and partly to just listen to your voice. he helps folds your laundry that you've been neglecting in favor of studying, while he quizzes you on your material, he'll fling your shirts and underwear at you from across the room because he's still childish like that, and you threaten to put your pinks in the wash with his socks and boxers and make all of them pink, because you're still childish like that too and that level of familiarity doesn't just go away as you get older and it warms the ache in his chest that always seems to grow when he's around you.

pining!armin who follows you around like you are his life line, and flushes a thousand shades of red when people comment how you guys look adorable together, what a sweet couple. "Huh? oh, me and armin? no no, we've been friends since diapers, we're just really close, yeah 'min?" "oh, yeah no. she's a thorn in my side, for sure" "oh shut up, you love me" and god, how he wants to say yes.

pining!armin who you trust with your whole being, and revels in that knowledge, pride and warmth and affection flooding through him, ready to burst at the seams when he hears you praise him, or when you come to one of his presentations, or when you come to him for advice, or when you ask for help with anything. you asked him to pretend to be your boyfriend infront of your ex-boyfriend once and he played the part to perfection. it's not like he was planning what he would do in his head for the past forever.

“Anna, I just-“ Harry huffs as she tugs him into a spare bedroom of the party after he had put up a valiant fight to keep them in the main area.

Her hands are unbuttoning his already barely buttoned shirt, running down his bare skin, and he is cut off by a sloppy kiss to his mouth.

Fear shoots up through him, it’s not YN, he doesn’t want this with her.

“C’mon, it’s been almost six months and you still haven’t touched me. Just fuck me,” Anna complains, fed up with the lack of or more like nonexsistence of their sex life.

It was near impossible to believe, someone like Harry who oozed sex out of every pore of his body wasn’t sexually active or interested in fucking his girlfriend.

When Anna takes a different approach of going for his belt buckle, mouth trailing against his collarbone, and attempting to get to his groin - which hadn’t hardened in the slightest.

“Enough,” Harry states firmly, grasping her wrists lightly and making her look at him, “I don’t want to have sex right now, okay?”

His girlfriend’s face falters, “You never want to.”

“If you don’t like it break up with me,” He hisses, knowing YN is going to get suspicious the longer they’re in a room together.

Anna, who really did have a kind heart, frowns, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to pressure you into anything. I would never force you to.”

Harry just rebuttons his shirt, “S’fine. Let’s just get back to the party and have a good time, yeah?”

She nods as Harry swings his arm around her shoulder, unlocking the door, and pausing when he sees YN a bit of the ways down the corridor - staring at the two leaving the bedroom.

“I’m going to get a drink,” He dismisses bluntly, his focus set on the girl who was visible angry with him in the kitchen.

Before he can get out a word, she steps forward and swipes her thumb against his collarbone.

It comes back with the waxy substance of Anna’s bright mauve lipstick.

“Have fun in there, did you?” YN asks, she tries to keep her tone cool and unbothered by Harry sees right through it to the insecurity.

“You know I didn’t,” He replies between gritted teeth, how could she get jealous when this was all her?

He didn’t want a girlfriend.

Well he did but he only want her and she fucking knew that.

“If you wanted me to believe you, maybe you would have wiped her lipstick marks from your neck and chest,” She chuckles and it makes Harry’s hair on the back of his neck stand up.

It was the distinct chuckle and tone she used when she was upset but wasn’t going to admit it over her dead body.

Before he can call her out, she shoulders past him, disappearing into the dancing crowd of people and out of his side.

“Fuck,” He mutters, running a hand through his hair before trudging off to find Niall and Zayn - to distract himself.

“Stay the night, please?” Anna asks softly when Harry pulls up to her small, quaint little house that fit her perfectly.

“M’sorry. I have a long day tomorrow.”

It was a lie. It was rarer that he told the truth to his girlfriend than fibbing.

“So? Let’s cuddle, do something,” She begs, frustrated with her emotionally and sometimes physically distant boyfriend.

Harry shakes his head, “Maybe next weekend.”

He always said that.

As soon as he drops off Anna, his next stop is a route that is ingrained in his head front and backwards, her apartment.

YN doesn’t respond, her body still wound tight with tension and a gluttonous feeling of rage for earlier in the night.

“Been fuckin’ you and only you since I was seventeen. Y’know that I didn’t fuck her, didn’t even touch her and you still have the nerve to act like a crybaby,” Harry seethes, his whole chest pressed against her back, no room to escape.

A while ago I saw someone describe YIIK has "video game Scott Pilgrim", and I feel there are some similarities even if the comparison is far from fair. I remember you mentioning both at some point, do you have a thought on how those two media compare to each others?

The easiest and simplest way to show how different they are is Bryan O'malley is not scott. Alex YIIK is so much a self insert

Getting this out of the way, Alex and Scott are both "bad people" and the worlds are very game related. but thats essentially where the comparisons stop. YIIK takes place in america which does exist. SP takes place in the fictional place of Toronto.

Moving away from a joke Alex never gets better. He's so up his own ass sniffing his own farts for 2/3 of the game. No one in the game likes him but its always, even through his own fucking narration, presented as he's the only sane good man. The story bends over backwards to lick alex's ass crtack and remind him that he's some kinda righteous hero, and whenever it DOES bring up "wow alex you are a stupid little bitch and treating people like shit" it instantly backs out of it to go HAHA VIDEOS GAMES RIGHT GAMER. And the romance thing means likie nothing to his arc (NOT TO MENTION THE WOMAN IS BASED OFF A REAL WOMAN WHO DIED UNDER UNKNOWN CIRCUMSTANCES FUCKING ALEX)

Scott is a bad person but the point is HE GROWS. Romana does to! she lies to scott and gives him a lot of half truths, but they move past it and grow cause there's a actual point the romance. Scott treats romana like shit and basically is there to get his dick wet at the beginning but he doubles down and proves he wants to make the romance work. Even after all this weird shit with her exs. Also scott is VERY VERY MUCH a nerd who gets owned by everyone but people actually like scott.

1. its victim blaming of hades to tell minthe its HER fault she "couldnt get over him". like? you lied to her! youre the one who blurred the lines to date her! you were just as toxic to her if not more so by controlling where she lives and her job, all while never defending her to your cruel family! you had all the power over her while she had nothing! you dumped her for a 19 year old and dont care she crippled minthe! i wont excuse minthe's actions, but hades is ultimately the worse of the two IMO

2. you know why fans claimed "Minthe should've reacted better"? since the first episode Rachel has been drilling into their heads Minthe is an irredeemable monster, and her not bending over backwards to H/P means she deserves the absolute worst. Minthe reacting how anyone logically would doesn't matter when LO is designed to coddle H/P, and anyone against them must suffer for it, even if the victim to H/P's actions. they never wanted her to be "redeemed", they want her head on a silver platter.

3. i know this is not what she intended bc the only characterization rachel has of hxp is "the best over everything" but uh, does she know having hades control all the petroleum and gasses and whatever else is actively destroying the planet, right? like hes helping the very thing persephone draws her power from and what she's connected to be destroyed to appease hes need for wealth and power. its kinda gross hes being romanticized while he commits horrible acts like this for his bank account.

4. its not impossible to go opposite in their original myth personalities and still have it work. like in hades game, sisyphus is one of the most likable characters, achilles is gentle and kind, ares is calm and rational, etc, but it makes sense within the context of the story. LO in comparison goes "all these loving mothers are evil because i said so! this beloved god is now evil because i said so! minthe is evil because i said so!" and that's about it in terms of logic to these wild changes.

5. I can kinda get behind anon's theory about the flower nymphs looking like P to help her be undetected, the problem is there are also unrelated women in comic who are bright pink and look just like her, with hades even confusing them for her! if i had to bet the only reason they look like that is because rachel just wanted daphne to look like her to hammer home apollo is "obsessed" with P and to fake them as her "real family" over demeter. also just laziness in designing characters in general.

6. its weird hades and persephone are well aware what they're doing is bad even openly admitting it and yet the narrative is so hellbent on excusing their bad actions?? like hades being the major toxic factor in his relationship to minthe, persephone killing people, or hades wanting to bone an eternal 19 year old? like rachel you know thats not how character growth works, right? you cant show they have horrible flaws and leave them to never grow and learn from it, that's not good writing at all.

7. what i also dont get is the hierarchy makes no sense? like zeus is framed as the top god, but that would mean hades cant be the most important man ever so rachel also made him equal rank with zeus (and i guess poseidon too) so?? how does zeus have all that power over them then if theyre all equal? is it because zeus swallowed metis? also how are the fertility goddess so powerful and rare yet so easily taken down? how are they overpowered and super weak at the same time? i just dont get it.

8. Re reading chapter 144 and other anon is right we do see the pomegranate pin on Hades outfit (so Hades gifts it to her)

But also some things to note

During the makeout session persy begins to disappear in butterfly form and hades is like "no don't leave!" And he grabs her, preventing her from leaving. Which is..kinda Ick considering they were on their way to having (public) sex and he doesn't want her to leave which seems like he's not really respecting her boundaries? (because if she does he'll "be lonely")

The pomegranate pin is Hades' to begin with so technically one of Persephones symbols is not hers (yes I know in the original myth she ate it in the underworld / was forced to eat it but still its supposed to be her symbol)

Hades notes that he "doesn't want to overstep his boundaries as host" because Persephone is a guest (too late for that)

Persephones main concern (after what a week or 2?) after being raped is when Hades wants to stop her reaction is "dont you want me anymore?"

Girl you aren't even dating ...??

Persy's literal one and only concern is that she thinks if she doesnt sleep with Hades right then or when/if he wants to that "she wont be able to give him what hes used to" ... Which is reinforcing that she went to therapy to get "over being blocked" in regards to having sex

Although Hades does mention that she shouldn't feel like she needs to please him and that a kiss can just be a kiss which would be nice

(And yet his thinking of marrying her amd he's known her for 2, 3 weeks? ... And he says "the beginning of a new relationship is exciting and scary" so hes basically indicating thay their dating at this point, I think?)

And later the nymphs in the store are like "do you wanna be the dominatrix of the bedroom?? Buy this lingerie!" And persy does. So??

Meanwhile Demeter is very worried for her daughter who is busy sitting in Hades lap in a pool.

9. Can we talk about how anons are making fucking flow charts for the LO Timeline cause it's so ridiculously jumbled?

10. im not even against rushed relationships, ive known actual couples who met and were married all within the same year and it worked out great, the difference though is these were people who had their own lives and previous relationships. the issue with LO is RS designed it so Persephone can NEVER have relationships or a life outside of Hades, and if they did get married offscreen, it's framing their marriage in a toxic and unbalanced light. That's not a romance, it's a disaster waiting to happen.

11. i feel like there's a difference between drawing an interesting hooked/aquiline nose versus whatever the hell RS puts on Hades' face. It honestly looks like he's in between morphing into a bird half the time since it just looks like a beak over an actual facial feature.

12. are there shareholders or a board of advisors or something at underworld corp? because if there is id say they have more than enough reason to kick hades out and strip him of his titles/shares because of all the shit he's caused by being guided by his broken pp over thinking with his head. liking dating TWO employees? and getting one of them phsyically crippled by the other bc he can't be honest with either of them and she's a walking time bomb? he's a walking HR nightmare.

Of all of Argit's criminal history, that outfit in Omniverse has got to be the biggest crime he's ever committed

Argit's jumpsuit is bad. Like really fucking bad in my opinion lmao

It's ugly, doesnt fit Argit's character at all, and worst of all there's too much fucking Orange!

(Sorry but Orange is my least favorite color by far. It's so fucking bright and I hate it)

Yes I know Argit wore an Orange jacket in UAF but that was at least counterbalanced by the Black T-shirt and dark Blue Jeans he wore. It felt balanced out instead of one big splotch of Orange.

And considering that Argit literally goes around stealing things, that would require him to be very steathy.

How the fuck can anyone be steathy wearing a jumpsuit that looks as bright as the mother fucking SUN?

Guess Argit's been taking his advice from Naruto it seems lmao .

Omniverse pick up a damn fashion book challenge! 😤

Yeah omniverse really did just increase the saturation, decrease mens’ hips, add random square patches everywhere, eat hot chip, and lie. Garment construction? Never heard of it!

Seriously what’s with the random squares everywhere- especially with argits clothes. He doesn’t have an ounce of square shape language in his blood! He’ll bend over backwards for just pennies a day! So what’s with all the square elements??? Typically little elements in a design are used to bring an intended shape to a character who’s body is not naturally shaped like that shape. For example, a skinny anime girl won’t have many natural circles on her body, so circular patches and jewelry will be used to convey those circle connotations. So why does angular edgy Argit need to wear so many square decals??? When has he ever been sturdy and reliable and strong???

Now I don’t personally mind orange, it reminds me of construction work which I like, but I do despise bright cyan. The only context I would have been okay with the color on Gwen’s stupid omniverse shirt would be if it was paired with a vivid crimson- such as the color of her uaf hair! But they didn’t! They made her hair orange, which is not how aging works btw. Plus cyan and crimson, especially if the cyan was a bit deeper, looks really good together in a grey setting- think of a colonial style house up in cloudy Maine. Red brick, blue shutters and trim, white paneling and grey skies… that could have made her look so nice in friedkin, so she could stand out like a cozy New England house in the fog rather than whatever the fuck was going on in omniverse. (Sorry I keep going back to Gwen, I’ll talk about Argit now)

Something I really like with uaf generally is the use of what I consider analogous saturations and values- rather than hues- and you can really see this in argits jacket and pants color combo, as well as his fur and hair colors. The fur and hair have the analogous/monochrome saturation but different values, and his coat and pants have complementary colors but equal saturation and analogous values. (This is getting admittedly nebulous and theoretical but bear with me lol) I think these muted colors all balance really well with each other and don’t tip the scales any one way- this lets him blend in with the backgrounds like you said anon.

In animation, I know that there is often a separate person assigned to the color, but the art director, djw, would have okayed the colors they chose, and he could have vetoed the ugly colors they chose!

I’ll be honest I do really love warm colors and hate cool colors, so I always prefer when bright colors are heavily saturated and cool colors are dulled down with grey, so I’ll admit I kind of like a bold slap in the face with orange. It reminds me of a fun weird haute couture runway look, and it reflects really well on dark brown skin- but Argit isn’t a runway model, he’s a sneaky little criminal man and it doesn’t make sense for him to wear bright orange unless he’s secretly trying to get peoples’ attention??

i watched the ep twice bc i didnt take notes the first time BUT. hsmtmts 2.04 thoughts under the cut

gina first. my favorite part of the episode was when she admitted that she feels out of place living in someone else’s house and that she wanted a bigger part in the play. i was SO worried they were gonna just let her happily sideline herself in a “yay she learned her lesson about not being the center of attention” kind of way bc i would not be able to handle that two seasons in a row. let her be angry!!! she has a lot to be upset about

the gina/carlos conflict was awful bc theyre making carlos unreasonably annoying this season. last season he was nice, he was enthusiastic, not competitive and just rooting for other people. idk why they needed to flip him so drastically to being spoiled, rich, selfish, pushy, and bitchy. and on top of that i have not been vibing with the pieces of dialogue theyve been giving him this season just to score woke points. its so unbearably obvious that even though hes a brown gay character, he was written by a white gay person who thought, on some level, that he was giving the gen z kids the #hashtag representation they wanted. his delivery of every line that screams “remember, im mexican” is so awkward, it doesnt land well, and im begging them to stop. they want so badly to commodify his character and parade him around as a “look how diverse our show is!” thing and im so so sick of it bc you can tell, with all the surface-level pieces of dialogue, that they dont actually care at all

(”look around, theres not a lot of me at this school” we GET it, this show wants to be glee so bad)

im honestly starting to slowly ship rina less and less. in season one i loved seeing someone make gina happy, especially since she had no friends before opening up to ricky. but now its just a whole mess and i wish she would love herself a lil more to realize that its not worth all this stress. he made a choice and no amount of conflicted moments of eye contact is going to fully take that back. im not necessarily against love triangle plots, but i HATE the whole “women wait around hopefully while male character, whose decisions have already hurt multiple people, makes up his mind” bullshit

that being said, gina handled the situation like a CHAMP, im dying over how quickly she was able to mask her pain and make the joke about the twix bar. im love her

we were absolutely ROBBED of an ej/big red performance this episode!!! i am at my LIMIT we better get gaston next week or i will riot

on the ej train, him not getting into duke was extremely predictable. we all kinda saw that coming and knew that would be his main point of growth this season. im glad they didnt wait super long to do it. now please @ writers i am BEGGING you to give my man more screen time than one scene per episode

its very odd that they keep making mr mazzara have emotionally tough conversations with the students. i will do a parallel gifset of those once the season ends. i liked his convo with ej for the most part, but he really didnt have to beat him over the head with the “youre an emotionless robot” thing again. its clear ej is gonna throw himself into av club or whatever (even though at the end of last season that was supposed to be big red?) and discover that he has a lot going for him. because he does, he literally has everything going for him, thats why they had to make his “problem” not knowing himself. bisexual ej caswell ftw

i love the parallels between ej and nini this episode? i think since the beginning ive felt that there was a lot about them under the surface that was similar. it was interesting seeing ej tell nini about duke first, instead of the obvious choice of ashlyn. i wouldve loved to see how that scene wouldve gone with ricky, gina, carlos, or big red though bc each reaction and attempt at comforting him wouldve been so different. i didnt love that nini had to be pulled away from the conversation, but im glad they can still talk to each other after everything that went down. and i love the juxtaposition of ej’s convo with mazzara directly following nini’s convo with miss jenn bc theyre essentially the same.

speaking of, i loved miss jenn in this episode. her stories are always so funny, but i loved seeing her care so much for nini and guide her, like a teacher. i loved how she pointed out that everyone who loves nini just wants her to be happy

im glad nini is leaving yac bc there was no good way to keep that up honestly. but im pretty annoyed that they were so obvious about it? like, they immediately made it the worst place in the world without exploring it very much. the place is super unrealistic, ive never been to drama school but im sure it wouldnt be like that. no creative arts place for KIDS would be so impossibly limiting. plus the weird bluish coloring in comparison to the nice warm tones of the rest of the show was, again, a dead giveaway. why send her to the school at all if it wasnt even gonna matter?

even though im glad nini left yac, im NOT looking forward to the way miss jenn is about to bend over backwards to put her in the play somehow. she plays obvious favorites and im so annoyed

(sidenote: nini just? decided to leave yac without consulting her parents??? ummm)

granted is a very good song, one of my faves so far

ricky deciding to tell nini he wants her to stay was stupid. what did he think that would accomplish? who in their right mind would drop out of a good school for you?

i loved when nini said yac was missing something, and miss jenn said “ricky” and nini said “you.” that was so so sweet and cute

i think the kourtney/howie thing is gonna grow on me. i hate amatonormativity so im not a big fan of them introducing a whole ass character exclusively so kourtney can have a love interest, but i loved the gesture he made of bringing her the pizzas and her flashcards. i feel like kourtneys love language is acts of service, and she was literally this meme when he did that for her:

i liked seeing ashlyn try to be there emotionally for gina! i want more of them together

overall this episode was okay. not enough songs, and i wish they were spreading out the emotional conversations through the season instead of packing them all into literally one episode, but what we did get was pretty good.

after watching the preview i see that next weeks episode is gonna be about carlos’s party, and i love party episodes. BUT i hope that after that ep we finally get an advancement on the north high stuff! i dont give too many fucks about lily, but i wanna see my son asher angel

God it's so nice to see someone who doesn't like Bakugou, THANK YOU😭. Sometimes I feel so fucking alone in this fandom cause everywhere I look there are ppl praising Bakugou and saying that he's the best, I have no fucking idea how he keeps winning popularity polls🤢🙄. And I HATE that Deku puts him on a pedestal. Horikoshi saying that Bakugou has to apologise gives me hope but I think that it'll happen super late and that it'll be written like a super bad apology so yeah... what do you think?

YEAH Idk where his popularity comes from when he's a shitty character who yells at everyone and calls them names. Its just really weird to me. It doesn't make sense to me at all because he's a bully that told Izuku to kill himself and that's something I'm never going to let slide like ever since the first time I watched the show, it really hit me and I even mentioned it to my little brother, who introduced me to the show. Its just...that just hit my heart you know? And then he doesnt get any better. I see people saying he's improving and he's getting development, but I can't see it? Like if he's doing something, it's not even that Great. Like wow he saved a person. That's...that's exactly what a hero should do yeah. But none of that erases what he has done to Izuku which is 10+ years of abuse. He hurt him so much verbally and physically. How do you just ignore that? And I also see people argue "we can enjoy a character and still acknowledge their flaws", but like? I still fail to understand. Like I'm sorry, I just don't enjoy characters that are assholes. ...actually I'm not sorry. I am also really annoyed with Izuku excusing his behavior or just...Not reacting to it. Like I get he is super kind and caring and forgiving, but I also feel like hero society has shaped his opinion. K*tsuki has a strong quirk, therefore he is fit to be a hero. But I'm not sure if Izuku connects abuse to heroism, or lack thereof. Like I really wonder if after Shouto told him about his abusive father, Izuku started to change the way he saw k*tsuki.

I've wanted an apology since like last decade because it's just too much. If he is going to keep being an important character, Horikoshi has to give us a balance. Its becoming increasingly difficult to enjoy this series by having him as one of the protagonists when he is a piece of shit. He yelled at his hosts during the family dinner despite knowing how heavy the subject Shouto and Fuyumi were discussing was for them. I'm never going to let them go because when you talk about something important like that between you another person, the last thing you want is for a 3rd party to yell at you. That just peeved me so much. And he also stabbed Izuku on his head with his accessory and he bled because of that. And nobody reported him. The boys showed concern, but like who intervened? Nobody. Its so annoying. He hasn't changed at all if he's still hurting Izuku. And now its played as a gag, how disgusting. Thanks Horikoshi, for playing off his bullying as a joke, real clever of you, that's exactly what I needed. 😒

Anyways yeah I want a good apology, but because Horikoshi bends over backwards to kiss k*tsuki's ass, I don't know if he will give us a good apology. I hope he does. Because it's what Izuku deserves AT LEAST. At most, he deserves to get away from him because he's so toxic and he needs to heal. So what I would totally LOVE is for Izuku to not only get an apology, but also to spend time away from him. I know from experience that I healed a lot after I spent time away from the person that bullied me in elementary school and I am healing now because I am away from the person that really hurt me. At least the latter apologized to me, but the bully didn't. She never stopped her behavior until I was in a different class from her and I became more confident because of that. When I had a class with her again in high school, she couldn't do anything to me because I was savage. I would have eaten her face off with sass. I'm not trying to say Izuku should totally do this, but Izuku should totally do this. But anyway back to the topic. Izuku deserves better. He has better friends and classmates now, but wouldn't it just be amazing if class 1St and Aizawa and All Might found out that he bullied Izuku "Sunshine" Midoriya? God that would just be cathartic. I would legit frame that on my wall and personally thank Horikoshi for my existence. An apology would be such a gift, though. And k*tsuki also acknowledging that what he did was WRONG and he will try to be a better person and a better friend. Because as it stands now, he does not regret anything he did. He still treats Izuku like shit and he is still a Grade A+ Asshole. So if Horikoshi does not do hustice to the apology, then it will be horrible writing honestly. Like I am afraid for this event because we are getting a damned redemption for endeav*r and that bastard abused his entire family in different ways and just NOW realized he did wring. Its too late, sir, you messed up 5 people, good job, you selfish bastard. K*tsuki is still a 16 year old twerp, so lets hope he'll change and get the proper development he so desperately needs. If Horikoshi butchers it then that'll be a dann shame. I have one fear for the series and this is it. Either we get a shit apology or we get no apology at all. I'm not sure if this answers your question, but I felt like this would 've a good answer.

i went bowling yesterday so here’s headcanons literally no one asked for

- mc sorta sucks at bowling so she cheats by doing stupid moves that oddly work, like facing the alley backwards and bending over to swing the ball between her legs. she’s just a big buffoon who doesnt take the game seriously and eats too much pizza.

- marvus tries to school everyone on proper techniques and comes up with his own weird moves, confidently rolls the ball, and walks away with flair as the ball completely misses all the pins. he sucks worse than anyone but he doesn’t get mad about it, he takes it in stride and hopes to improve with each turn. he never does, but it doesnt deter him.

- chixie is actually decent and plays fair, she’s generally supportive of everyone else and is a good sport about everything. sometimes she gets competitive with mc but it’s all in good fun. they drink lots of beer and dance to the music and progressively get better at the game the more they get drunk.

- tagora needs to be pestered for ages to even consider lifting a bowling ball. he’s kinda good at it, surprisingly, but he gets tired fast and is a sore loser lmao

- lanque is the best player and looks way too attractive when he takes his position to roll the ball. he’s 100% competitive and knows he’s good. little bitch babies (mc) are not worth his time and effort and he WILL act smug about it. mc only plays seriously when it’s against him and they are so annoyingly dramatic over each other’s moves and totally tease each other when their hits suck. they have to be dragged away from the alley by everyone else because they can and will keep playing for eternity. they call a truce when the fried chicken and beer is placed in front of them.
