☾ ᴡʜɪꜱᴘᴇʀꜱ ☽
The relationship between Sam and you had begun to blossom in the fall of your first year in Pelican Town. It had all started out quite simple; playing pool with the blond and Sebastian in the saloon turned into hanging out and playing video games together. Taking turns trying hard levels bled into fleeting touches and looking at one another longer than necessarily needed; until it all ended in a chaste kiss behind near the river. It hadn’t taken Sam much longer to show up on your doorstep with a bouquet of flowers, asking you to officially be with him.
Ever since, your relationship had grown like the crops on your fields – filling your heart with a deep, comfortable feeling of contentment and calm, something no one ever had managed up until the town. However, whenever Sam walked up to you, looking at you with these deep blue eyes filled with excitement and genuine happiness and smiling at you as if you were the first warm day in spring, you felt like you were at the right place, at the right time.
However, there was gossip in town. Little whispers, really, nothing you wouldn’t have expected living in a sleepy community like this. The gossip here was nothing more than a fleeting thought that was spoken out; here one moment, gone the next.
You had always promised yourself to not let these whispers stick to you, to just smile and forget about it. And so far you had done well; the most attention you had spent on anything that wasn’t rock solid was wondering how someone would come up with something like that.
In all seriousness, you just didn’t care for it. It rolled off your back like droplets of rain rolled off your raincoat.
You didn’t think a simple visit to Pierre’s would change that. You were standing in front of one of the shelves in the far back, looking at the different seasonal seeds in stock, considering trying out something new on the fields when you heard Marnie’s voice. It was hushed as it usually was when she was gossiping. Any other day, you would have just turned back to the bags in your hand, but today, you heard your boyfriend’s name. Much to your shame, your ears perked up almost immediately, and even worse, you actually tilted your head a little to catch what Marnie was saying.
“Yes, I am surprised he didn’t end up with Ms. Penny. The crushes they had were quite obvious, even my nephew picked up on it,” she hummed.
Another voice now answered with a hum, but when they talked, you were able to identify it as Mayor Lewis’s. “Even my old eyes picked up on it! I saw them at the bridge often, and I always thought Ms. Penny just waited for him to make the first move and she would have been all his.”
Your heart sank. Sam had had a crush on Penny? You furrowed your brows as you thought back, trying to remember if you ever had picked up on anything like that. Then it hit you – they had often hung out by the bridge together, and if you were honest, you had always felt a weird tension sizzle in the air between them.
Marnie again: “It is quite a shame, really. Jas told me that Ms. Penny looks a little sad when they pick up little Vincent. I think they would have made a good couple; she could have taught him a lot, I bet.”
“And maybe he would have helped her to get out of her shell a little. I thought they were a good match as well.”
You couldn’t take any more. You stepped out from between the shelves and almost ran to the till, slamming the bags onto the counter. “Just these, please,” you smiled at Pierre, loud enough for the hushed whispers behind you to stop.
“Thanks,” you murmured after you had been rung up, fleeing the general store without as much as a look in the two chatterboxes’ direction.
You had genuinely wanted to let go of what you had heard today. After all, Sam was with you now, and he seemed genuinely happy with you. Even now in his sleep, he was looking peaceful and content; his arm stretched out towards you as usual. Whenever you and Sam slept together, he had to touch you in some way. You didn’t mind that, in fact, it usually calmed you and lulled you into a deep slumber. Tonight, it didn’t help.
You had started thinking as soon as your conversation with Sam had faded as his breathing had grown heavier; a clear sign that he was drifting off to sleep.
Had you gotten in the middle of something between Sam and Penny?
Would he maybe be better off dating her?
Would he be happier with her?
Why did he choose to be with you when there seemingly was a spark, big enough for others to notice?
Penny, in all honesty, was not only a beautiful human but had an incredible personality at that. She was a catch, no doubt. Maybe you had ruined the best relationship Sam could have ever had, because what could you offer? You were a farmer, nothing more, nothing less. Doing work many considered as nothing but simple and dirty. Whereas Penny was always clean and well-kempt: being noble enough to try and give the town’s kids the best possible education. Trying to give your boyfriend’s little brother the best possible chances, for crying out loud!
Holy shit, you had probably ruined Sam’s life, what did he even see in you?
“Babe?” a groggy voice next to you asked, making you tense up. You had been so lost in your whirlwind of thoughts that you hadn’t even realized how much you had been tossing and turning. You tried to stay still, even out your breathing. Maybe he would just go back to sleep.
But you knew Sam better than that. And just as you had expected, two strong arms slowly snaked around you, pulling you into a warm chest. Sam’s hand found your hair, long fingers running through it just mere moments later. Sam knew you, sometimes better than you knew yourself, and he knew what to do when you were nervous. And even now in your state of inner turmoil it helped; you relaxed into his arms, and for a split second, your head was quiet.
“What’s wrong, baby? Bad dream?”
That was your chance. If you said yes now, he would probably cuddle you, caressing your hair until you fell asleep. Sleep sounded nice right about now.
“Did I ruin your chances with Penny? Would you rather be with her?”
The caressing stopped, and you could feel the mattress behind you shift. Was he leaving now?
The light switched on, and before you could say something else, you saw Sam’s face hover right over yours. His rough hand was placed on your cheek now, thumb caressing the skin gently as he peered into your eyes. All sleep had vanished now, replaced by honest concern and confusion.
“Why would you think something like that?”
You bit around on your lower lip, looking away in embarrassment. “I heard Marnie and Lewis talk at Pierre’s today…They…they talked about the crush you had on Penny and the crush she had on you and how you would be a great match and how she is sad when she picks up Vincent now and-“
Noting how stupid you sounded, you stopped yourself, taking in a deep breath and not being able to stop yourself, “and it had me wondering, because I saw you hang out as well and Penny is so beautiful and kind and noble and she would have a good influence on you! And what am I, just a farmer, you have seen me in dirty clothes more often than in clean ones and-“
You looked at Sam helplessly, tears in the corner of your eyes. “And I just…Why did you choose me when you could have had her, Sam? Why didn’t you choose her? You could have…I…” The blond looked at you, patiently waiting for you to finish speaking.
Only when your stream of words had seemingly ceased did he lean in and press a soft kiss to your lips.
“Because Penny isn’t you, my love,” he murmured against the plush of your lips, looking into your eyes. His thumb was still caressing your cheek, allowing his other hand to lock together with yours.
“Yes, Penny is a good-hearted woman, and yes, I might have had a crush on her.  But you touched my heart in a way no one ever has. I fell in love with you, and I mean all of you. Your eyes; the way they light up when you’re proud or happy. The way you smile and the many different smiles you have. I love every single one. I love that you get dirty every day while doing what you love. I love that you give it your all every day.”
Sam kissed your nose carefully, his eyes peering into yours again.
“I love how careful you are with everything, especially with things that are dear to you. Yoba, I love the way your breathing sounds when you are next to me, I love the way you ramble to yourself when you are working on something and think no one can hear you. I love the random sounds you make. I love seeing you. I love being around you. I love you being mine. I love you.”
Sam kissed your lips again, holding onto your face. You looked up at him with teary eyes, hiding your face in his chest. The blond laid back down, carefully pulling you on top of him. He drew random patterns onto your back; mostly hearts and clouds and little stars.
“I remember the first actual date we went on. My heart was pounding in my chest, and I was so close to just throwing up. Sebastian kept teasing me, asking me why I was nervous, I had been to the beach so often…” he kissed your head again, holding you a little tighter to his chest. “And then I saw you there. All bundled up in your winter clothes, and I asked myself why I had been so stupid to suggest a date on the beach in winter. But when you smiled at me…Shit, that was the moment I just knew that you were my one and only. And I wouldn’t want to live a life in which you weren’t.”
You sniffled a little, but smiled a little as you thought back to the date. You had, in fact, asked yourself why Sam would want to meet up at the beach in winter, but you could have never allowed yourself to pass up the opportunity.
You closed your eyes; taking in your boyfriend’s scent. He smelled like cotton and a hint of vanilla. Honestly, you found he smelled like home.
You could feel Marnie’s and Lewis’s voices quieten down, as did your worries.
Sam could feel you relax in your arms and slowly lifted your chin with two fingers.
“I love you.”
“I love you, too, Sam.”
“And tomorrow I will skate on the Mayor’s property.”
“No, Sam."

Bachelors and Having a Baby
I saw another hc blog do this and I wanna do my own take~
Sebastian --
Extremely shocked when you tell him you're pregnant, but would react with a blank face and "oh, huh. Interesting." It does not sink in for a few minutes to an hour, and then he's losing his fucking mind.
Never thought he would be a dad, and convinced himself he would be a bad one. Even if him and the farmer weren't using protection, it still blindsides him
He cuts back on freelance work to help more around the farm, especially in the last trimester. The farmer is NOT allowed to do anything more strenuous than play video games. He will prob call on Abigail and Sam to help, he's not exactly the most athletic guy in the world.
Despite his fears that he wouldn't do a good job, he certainly works to make sure they won't come true. Reads a lot of parenting books and talks to Robin a lot. Those talks heal a bit of the rift between them.
Robin jokes that she's too young to be a grandma, but Demetrius cries when he's given a World's Best Grandpa mug. Maru happily steps up as an aunt and will spoil the baby with custom made toys and a ton of STEM for baby books.
Abigail and Sam are the chaotic aunt and uncle I imagine Shane was to Jas. They will babysit (mostly Sam) but expect funny pictures and wacky situations.
Elliott --
He is overjoyed when you tell him the news. He's going to be a papa! Lots of hugs and swinging you around. He doesn't strike me as the type to seek parenthood, but would lovingly embrace it once given to him.
It doesn't hit him for a while that a baby is going to mean changing his lifestyle quite a bit. No more all nighters, he won't be able to write for hours and hours at a time anymore. He finds it worth changing that aspect of his life to adjust to this new addition, a physical manifestation of your love.
Starts to change his habits early on so he'll be better suited after the baby arrives. Fully supports when you go nest mode and will move the furniture around as much as you want.
Has had a list of names for years before you even meet him. And all of them are beautiful
Leah takes on an aunt type roll, and loves teaching the baby about art and colors.
Sam --
Panics hard at the announcement. It doesn't matter that you're married, he still feels like he's sixteen sometimes, and he's worried about getting in trouble
Jodi and Kent are overjoyed at becoming grandparents, and Vincent thinks it's cool he's going to be an uncle.
Abigail and Sebastian make fun of him for being so worried about it, and help him get ready mentally to be a dad. They may need to remind him how much he helped with Vincent.
Once he calms down and realizes his family isn't going to be mad and his friends will stick around, he's extremely excited. He helped make an entirely new person! Someone he can teach music to! Can you skateboard with a baby?
Happily becomes the stay at home dad and handles a lot of the childcare.
Absolutely writes banger after banger of goofy songs for his kid
Alex --
I think he would be the type that always wanted to be a dad, just to spite how bad his was. When you tell him he's going to be one, he's over the moon. One of the few times you ever see him cry is when you tell him about the pregnancy, and again when the baby arrives.
Immediately befriends all the moms in Pelican Town and joins their gossip groups so he can get their advice and help as you prep for the baby. They adore him. He's like their pet.
Gets into what-to-expect books and takes over farm chores basically as soon as you tell him. No, you don't need to be doing all of that. He's got it. Which, I do think he would be pretty involved on the farm. I don't think he's the type to slouch while his spouse does everything. You can trust that he'll do well.
Evelyn and George are shocked by the news. George especially didn't think they'd live long enough to see it. They both love the little one quite a bit, and despite George's general attitude, he only speaks sweetly to the baby.
Haley will absolutely bury you in baby outfits as gifts.
Harvey --
Probably the most panicked on the list. He's not an ob/gyn but he IS medically trained and knows how easily everything can go wrong.
This doesn't mean he isn't thrilled and amazed in equal measure. Sure, you knew it was a possibility, but... He's so happy. He always wanted to be a dad, and now it's happening! He gets very misty-eyed.
He starts taking over cooking to be sure you're getting all the nutrients you need. You will find snacks in your bag, all healthy.
He also wants you to cut back on the farmwork, maybe hire someone for a season or two to hold it down. He would take over if he could, but being the town's only doctor keeps him too occupied.
He will absolutely do every type of birthing partner class.
He also helps set up the birth plan. He handles your medical needs until the birth. The plan is to go to Zuzu City about when the baby is due, deliver in the big hospital where he can be by your side and let someone else be the doctor. This plan fails when you deliver early and he has to step up. Everything goes well.
Shane --
He never thought he would be a dad. He didn't think he was good enough to take in Jas, and for the longest time, he didn't think he was good enough to be involved enough to have a kid.
He's come so far since when you first met. He's still got his issues, but he has a healthy grasp on them anymore. He isn't filled with loathing when you tell him, but tears up and holds you close. He feels incredibly lucky to have someone that loves him enough to welcome a child from him.
He is excited to prep for the kid. He was around when Jas was born, so he still remembers a fair bit about the baby years.
Jas can't wait to be a big sister. She likes playing with Vincent, but it would be even better to have a brother or sister. Marnie tears up when you both tell her the news. She's already a great-aunt to Jas, but looks forward to welcoming your baby as well. If you call her Grannie she will melt.
Shane absolutely faints in the delivery room. Man thought he could handle it. He cannot.
He's a very attentive dad. He never, ever wants this part of him to feel like it's not loved or good enough.

Shane x reader
                  Tw: biting, public, loud, rough
Summary: Y/n gets drunk. Shane gets hard. The back room of the saloon is used for things that Gus probably didn’t approve of.
                 Words: 1800
Tumblr media
Y/n walked into the saloon after a long day of work on the farm. She had been working since 6 am, picking and watering crops, tending to her animals and repairing things around the farm. She was exhausted and decided it was time to take a well deserved break during the night. She walked into the saloon, aware of the stares of the others inside. The farmer had been in Pelican town for a little bit over three years, but still spent most of her time on the farm. She had a few friends- Abigail, Sam, Penny… and Shane. She didn’t really know ywhat Shane was to her anymore. They had started out as friends, but when someone has put their dick in you… are you friends or more? “Friends with benefits” is what Shane had claimed before they started this whole thing. “Absolutely NO feelings involved.” Oops. Y/n wasn’t sure when she had started to fall in love with Shane. Maybe the first time she saw him, walking around town. She had eagerly walked up to him and introduced herself, hoping that she would finally make friends in the town. He had dismissed her at that time, in such a rude way that Y/n was anyone else she would probably be offended by. But she found herself intrigued by him instead. His dark hair and eyes, his sharp jawbone, his slightly muscular frame… He was everything Y/n found attractive… if he had been someone else. Still, after a few months, Shane’s hard sullen exterior started to slowly melt away. Whenever y/n saw him in town, she would say hello. Shane would usually respond with a sharp remark, and Y/n would respond with one of her own. Soon they became kind of friends. Then actual friends. Then… whatever they were now. Friends with Benefits didn’t seem like a good way to explain. They were somewhere between that and dating, neither of them wanting to take the next step. Maybe since the first time she saw him, wandering around the town on her first day. Y/n realized she really liked Shane, but a burst of guilt fell over her. What if he doesn’t like me and I’m just being delusional, am I actually attractive, is he attracted to me? The attraction was probably mutual, she decided, because why would Shane like her back? Maybe…
Tumblr media
Y/n was so lost in thought, wandering up to the bar counter that she hardly heard Gus trying to take her order.
“Y/n? Y/n? Y/N?” He shouted, finally getting her attention.
“Huh? Oh, sorry, I’ll get a beer. Gus nodded and handed it to her. Y/n looked around for somewhere to sit. Abigail and Sam were there, but they were with their other friend Sebastian, who Y/n had never liked. He was rude, but not in the way Shane was. Y/n suspected that he was annoyed that she hung out with his friends so much, and felt like he was getting replaced. She didn't want to intrude on the three of them. His eyes fell on Shane, who was sitting by himself, at the corner of the counter. He was just sitting in the corner, all lonely, he must not have many friends, maybe he just wants space. Or maybe he’s just REALLY drunk, which was true.. Y/n tried her beer, she’s never had much alcohol before, weird. It tasted tangy and kind of sour, she liked it, but it tasted different. She went over to Shane and sat beside him.
“Hey, Shane” she said, already feeling the effects of the alcohol.
“Hi,” Shane said awkwardly. They sat in silence, y/n looked around, she was bored as hell and had nothing to do  Y/n quickly finishing her beer.
“Uhh… do you want another?” Shane asked, nodding at her empty glass.
“Huh? Oh, yeah.” Y/n said, nodding happily. Shane waved Emily over from where she was cleaning glasses. Y/n couldn’t help but stare at Shane’s muscular, veiny hands, maybe they would be good for..
y/n’s thoughts got interrupted by Shane’s low voice.
“One more beer for the lady please. On my tab.”
“Thanks. You didn’t have to pay-“
“I wanted to,” Shane interrupted. Y/n blushed. Yeah, she was definitely drunk. From one drink? Laaameee. She had to get out more. Y/n thought. Emily set down Y/n's second drink, Y/n thanking her as she went to take other people’s orders. She eagerly grabbed the glass and gulped down all of the beer inside in a few seconds. Shane ordered one for himself, but not one for Y/n.
“Why don’t I get more?” Y/n asked, pouting. Shane smiled at her.
“You’re a lightweight, baby. Don’t wanna get you too drunk, or else I’d have to carry you home.” Y/n scowled, but decided Shane was probably right. Two was probably too much for her, but it was too late to go back. Y/n felt herself get drunker and drunker, her normally logical, sensible mind slipping away. Until she asked the question that had been on her mind all day.
“Why’d ya call me baby?” She half slurred, leaning closer to Shane, awaiting his answer. He froze, turning towards her and setting his glass down.
“What?” He asked.
“Why’d ya call me baby?” She asked again, leaning directly next to his ear to speak. He gasped.  She smirked at the reaction before glancing at his lap, looking at his huge bump. Y/n’s smirk vanished, replaced by lust. Shane was…. Hard.
“Ohhh” Y/n whispered. He was quickly turning red. She reached towards his pants rubbing it up and down, something she would never do usually, but she was drunk and horny.
“Y/n” Shane gasped. “Please… I can’t wait.”
“Ok. Let’s go to the back room.” Y/n tried to stand up, but since she was drunk she nearly fell over. Shane caught her.
“Maybe we shouldn’t do this… you can barely walk.” He said.
“I want you to make me barely walk” Y/n mumbled back. “Please Shane, we both want this.” Shane hesitated, but nodded and took her hand. They stumbled to the back room, ignoring the looks of the other bar patrons. Some of them were judgmental, but Y/n swore a few people gave her a knowing smirk. Abigail even winked at her. Y/n flushed even redder. Everyone in town knew what the back room was for. Y/n had learnt the hard way after she had walked into it looking for something for Gus and ended up catching Sam and Penny in the act. Neither of them had been able to look her in the eye for weeks after. That being said, Y/n had never… used the back room. She hadn’t even been in there since that day. Shane opened the door for her, ushering her into the room, locking it behind him. There were barrels all around them, along with a few chairs. There was also… a bed. Y/n wondered how many people’s …. Fluids were on it. She kind of didn’t want to use it, god forbid she got an STD. She could not go to Harvey with that. She decided to give Shane a blowwjob.
Y/n dropped to her knees in front of him ,wincing as she felt a wave of nausea roll over her from the sudden movement. She reached for Shane’s pants and pulled them down. His hard dick poked through his underwear, the pre cum leaving a wet spot. In the front.
“This turned on for me?” Y/n slurred, feeling drunker by the moment.
Shane groaned in response. Y/n reached out and pulled down his underwear, smirking as she saw his dick. Shane was big, 6 inches long and thick. Y/n loved the feeling of him inside of her. But before that, she decided it was time for a little fun. She leaned closer and licked the wet tip, tasting the pre cum. Shane moaned and tried to thrust his hips forward, but Y/n placed a hand on his hips to stop him.
“Be a good boy or I’ll stop.” She said sternly . Shane nodded, eyes dilating more than Y/n thought was ever possible. She went back to licking him slowly, Shane whimpering above her. Y/n decided she had teased enough, so she started to take him into her mouth. She decided it was best if she tried to take it all at once, since they didn’t have much time. She gagged at the intrusion of her throat for a moment, but after a few seconds she was fine. She experimentally tried to tighten her throat around him, internally laughing at the sound he let out while she did that.Suddenly, without warning, he started to thrust his hips, filling her throat with every movement. Y/ns hand went into her pants. She started to rub herself, almost as turned on as Shane was. After a minute or two, Shane half shoved her off.
“Why’d you do that?” She asked, pouting,
“I was gonna cum” Shane said, breathing heavily.
“Why didn’t you?”
“Cause I wanna do that inside of you.” Shane replied before grabbing Y/n and throwing her onto the bed. Y/n was too horny to care about the other things that had probably gone on in this bed. Shane pulled off her shirt and bra, admiring the view he had for a moment before nudging her to lift up her legs so he could remove her pants and underwear. He fingered her quickly before shoving his dick in. Y/n gasped at how sudden it was. He started thrusting super hard, filling her up with every movement. He bent down and kissed her, pressing his tongue against her lips until she opened her mouth for him. They Frenched as they fucked, the bed moving from the force of it. Shane reached down and started to rub her clit, sensing that they were both close. After a few seconds, Shane started to thrust harder than Y/n thought possible. He came quickly, filling her up as she clenched around him, also coming. They both lay there panting for a few minutes until they got their breath back.
Tumblr media
“Round two at my place?” Y/n suggested. Shane nodded in agreement.
They both avoided eye contact with everyone in the saloon as they walked out.

Here is some Sebastian fluff. Sebastian was my first SDV love and always will be ❤️
No warnings, just 1087 words of fluff
Description- what happens when the farmer and Sebastian start dating quietly and they are almost found out when Robin shows up unannounced during movie and cuddle time.
In the year you've been living and working on Grandpa's old farm, you've gained many new friends throughout Pelican Town. Your core group included Sam, Abigale and Sebastian, with you being closest to Sebastian.
It was hard not to gravitate towards him when everything about him was just so comfortable. You didn't feel the need to fill the silence with chatter when you two hung out and read comics or manga, but also had no problems trash talking when going head to head in a video game.
It wasn't a big deal to you two when you quietly started dating. Neither of you were into pda and you always hung out so no one besides you two even knew it was going on.
You two were sitting on the couch in your farmhouse watching whatever cheesy horror movie was on, just enjoying each other's company and laughing together at how ridiculous the movie is when you hear a knock at your door.
"Are you expecting anyone today?" Sebastian asks as you untangle yourself from him and the blankets.
"Nope. I have no idea who it could be. It's Sunday and everyone knows I don't really do any work around the farm on Sundays and that I'm a couch potato all day." you reply with a confused tone as you walk to answer the door.
When you open the front door, the last sight You're expecting is Robin standing there with a big grin on her face.
You've got no problems with Robin finding out about your relationship with her son, but you'd definitely prefer her to not find out by seeing her son laying on your couch shirtless, so you quickly step outside and shut your door a little harder than intended.
"Hey farmer! Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you, I know it's your day off and all" Robin starts with a slightly confused look on her face. You can only assume the look is from the way you slammed your door shut behind you like a crazy person.
"It's all good Robin! No worries here. Just worried about letting the heat out." Is your sorry excuse of a response. Like you'd have the fireplace roaring when it's the middle of summer.
"Oh sure. I get that, gotta conserve that fire wood right? Well I actually stopped by to see if I could trouble you for some goat cheese. I've been craving some and Pierre said he was out at the moment." Says Robin, getting to the point of why she stopped by today.
"Oh of course Robin! I've got some extras in the house, give me just a moment and I'll bring them right out!" You say a little louder than was necessary, happy that she only needed something as small as a chunk of goat's cheese.
You turn to open the door so you can run inside and grab the cheese when it thuds on something solid and stops before opening. Little did you know, while you were talking to his mom, Sebastian had crawled over to the door to eavesdrop on you two. He definitely didn't anticipate you throwing the door open as quickly as you did.
Sebastian rolls to the side where he would be blocked by the door as you go to open it again, stepping inside and shutting the door again quickly. While you run to the kitchen and Sebastian is rolling around on the floor holding his head where the door hit him trying to stay as quiet as possible, Robin is standing outside wondering what has gotten the farm so spooked.
Once you return to Robin with enough goat cheese to keep her away for a couple weeks, she thanks you and is about to be on her way when she stops and turns to you.
"Ya know, since you and Sebby have gotten so close lately, I think it would be amazing if you two went on a date. I think he may have a little crush on you." Robin says with a wink and walks away, leaving you slightly dumbfounded.
Once you gain a little of your composure, you walk back into the house to finish your movie with Sebastian as you notice he's still on the floor, but instead of rolling around in pain, he's now laughing hysterically.
"Glad you think this is funny Seb. I just about had a heart attack and a stroke all at once! All this stress over some damn goat cheese." You exclaim plopping back down on the couch and covering your head with the blanket.
A few moments later, you feel Sebastian lay on top of you and pull the blanket away from your face. He's still chuckling as he kisses your forehead and says "She's right ya know. I do have a little crush on you."
When you open your eyes you see that stupid smirk and all the tension leaves your body as you start laughing, pulling Sebastian closer you both relax back and continue your movie.
Later that night, Sebastian is walking back into his house and saunters into the kitchen to get something to drink before retreating to his room. Robin is in the process of making a snack of crackers and the goat cheese she got from the farm earlier in the day.
Sebastian tries to hide the smirk when he thinks back to what transpired during his mother's excursion to the farm. Robin hands him a cracker with cheese after he grabs his water bottle. “Try this Sebby, I got the best goat cheese today.”
As he pops the cracker and cheese into his mouth, he decides your farm really does produce the best cheese around, and as he's walking to his room tells his mom "Damn, the goats over on the farm really do make the best cheese, huh mom? Did you get enough for both of us today?"
Before he can make it to the stairs that lead to his room, his mom calls out to him "wait, how did you know I went and got cheese at the farm today when I normally go to Pierre's?"
Sebastian swears he can see the light bulb go off above his mom's head as he just chuckles and walks downstairs, leaving Robin alone in the kitchen. He hears his mom squeal with joy as he steps into his room and shuts the door.
By Wednesday that week, all of Pelican Town knows that Sebastian and the farmer are dating, and Robin couldn't be happier.

Got anything for Razzy? Can be absolutely anything, even shitpost.
Yes! :D Thank you for your ask and enjoy!
After some hard work with new spells or just when he wants to relax, he can afford to smoke a little. Rasmodius grows all kinds of weed and tobacco himself. He doesn't sell it to anyone, but he can share it with his friends (if they smoke, of course). At times, when talking with Marlon about different subjects or nothing, smoking has become almost mandatory.
Doesn't miss the opportunity to chat with the Traveling Merchant lady every Friday and Sunday, not forgetting to check out her wares. Sometimes you can find very interesting things and artifacts from the Gotoro Empire at her place. Plus, she's quite a pleasant person to talk to.
He is the one who teleports gems to the trash cans of some Pelican Town residents. After the Wizard recognized the young Farmer's strange habit of rummaging through the trash (he isn't particularly surprised, since he already has a friend with a similar habit - Linus), he decided to use magic to generate gems there. Just to laugh at the Farmer's surprised reaction (a diamond in a garbage can - the hell?? what?????).
If Rasmodius is not expecting guests, and feels unmotivated in some way, he will be lazy to change into his usual robe and will go home in a bath silk robe (purple, because aesthetics 🤌). And if guests do show up - well, he have to accept them according to all the laws of hospitality. And don't look at him like that, this robe is unisex!
Absolutely terrible at cooking. He can concoct any potion you want, but he can't make scrambled eggs without another fire and burnt food. It's easier for Rasmodius to just conjure up food, or have it delivered from the Saloon.
The Wizard loves rain, and goes outside whenever thunderclouds thicken in the sky. He casts a barrier spell on himself that keeps him from getting wet. Rasmodius likes the sound of tinkling drops on the barrier and the smell of rain. He especially loves it in the fall season.
Secretly helps travelers find their way home or to Pelican Town if they get lost in the woods.

you have unleashed a demon. i warned you.
i don't think this is going to have any structure whatsoever but i will pretend it does for my own sanity.
i want to start with some behind the scenes stuff bc obviously i do
like i only named guy that because i didn't want to think too hard about names and he has always been a silly little guy. his farms name is sail away farm,,, like the enya song. that's where it came from but really it's a SSS reference cus i will bring other SIs into this somehow. (it was from one of the ai dungeon streams... when julia wrapped up yet another accidental psychological horror story by sailing away whilst listening "to the tunes of enya")
and with remy i had already planned on romancing harvey so i wanted a name i could make a funny shipname of. their shipname is harmy (ironic isn't it ^^). stowaway farm came from some thoughts i had about remy's life before moving to pelican town. where he didn't feel welcome and like the people around him weren't keen on being seen with him. and i just liked the ring it has to it :) the two of them both having farms with "away" in the name was accidental and didn't hit me until after it was too late to change it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
here they are at the character creation screen !!!!
GUY IS MY SILLIEST LITTLE GUY. he's like a hamster or a chipmunk or other small rodents
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
him asf ^^^^
he's also like ponyo to me, he is very ponyocoded. his theme song would be the full version of ponyo on the cliff by the sea.
he is a biter, a chewer. he's kirby, a chainchomper... he would snack on rocks if he could. he's the breakdancing sims cat. he has bad volume control. he is an octopus, a koala, a monkey. he names a lot of his farm animals after fictional characters. but his hens are named hip, hop, cherry and pop after the lemon demon song. he would take a sip of a joja cola and go "oh, that is vile" and keep taking sips like he needs to confirm it multiple times.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
him and elliott are so silly..... their shipname is gull which worked out so well it almost seems intentional. they both got ties to the ocean and beach... we love to see it. they got together the day after elliott's birthday, not only that but it was also right before elliott's 8 heart event. so it was really like guy came in before his book reading, asked him out and then was all "THAT'S MY BF EVERYONE I LOVE HIM SO MUCH" during the reading... he is his biggest cheerleader
he is best friends with emily and shane. and when emily mentioned that she would make a good clown during the stardew fair, he said "this is why we're best friends. we would be the best clowns." and he ate three burgers in a row that day. one day during blackberry season he collected 93 blackberries and was just running around the town with them on his person. him and gus have history together which i will make a whole comic about some day. whilst gaming with abigail he ran into enemies twice and got himself killed. he accidentally bought a pirate sword from marlon. he has died once. he is trying to goad alex into actually shaving his hair off because of that one throwaway comment. HE HAS TWO GARBAGE HATS. (tootsies is SO getting the other one once 1.6 is out)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ this is what he wore for spirit's eve, called it "farmer in a rush" (he literally just took off his shorts)
i have way less on remy cus he isn't as far along and has had a mostly average time in pelican town so far.
remy is just a big dog who is scared of most things. he is a baby giraffe trying to walk for the first time. he feels very out of place in social interactions. his limbs are too long for him. he is trying his best.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
he can come off as very... displeased... his resting face just looks slightly ticked off. really he's a big softie. he has some real unfortunate luck too.. except the night of the egg hunt when he had a fairy visit. he holds onto that little bit of luck there. a glimmer of hope. he had a meteor crash in the middle of his farm, luckily his crops were safe and sound tho, small mercies. weeds damaged his farm the same night the scripted earthquake hit. one day in the mines he got so lost in the dark he had to give up for the day and head up to the surface again, he was one level away from an elevator. he is financially struggling. he names his animals after food. his theme song would probably be cave in by margaux or something.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
harmy is a slow-burn, strangers to friends to lovers scenario. they're delightful, i can't wait to see their relationship develop. remy kinda wanted to ask harvey to dance during the flower dance but chickened out (totally not because i only had 3 hearts with him stfu) (also those two pages aren't canon in my headcanon cus i think both of them would be oblivious and dumb as a rock. i just wanted to draw it lol. i think it takes a whileeee for either of them to ever catch feelings.)
he doesn't know many of the villagers too well. he is taking his time settling in fully and is so busy with the farm and mines and fishing and whatnot. oh y'know when sam asks you what his next song should be about?? yeah, remy said trains which has planted the idea that he is a former train kid in my head. and that's something he and harvey can bond over- i think it's really sweet :'). train and plane autism couple. remy has a sweet tooth. he feels intimidated by most villagers. i have a whole hair arc planned for him where he ends up growing his hair out once he really settles in. it's gonna be so epic. he went through 3 of emily's heart events in a row which was wild.
Tumblr media
his chest lineup >>>>>
Tumblr media
here's an expression sheet i started and will hopefully finish one day
i think that's all for now- I TOLD YOU IT WAS GOING TO BE A LONG POST NO?? ARE YOU HAPPY??? I AM. INFODUMPING IS AWESOME.
i ain't proofreading this are you kidding me.
Tumblr media
y'all summoned this. my mutuals summoning my infodump demon with their summoning triangle. feeding my hyperfixation.

Favorite Farmgirl (Penny/Fem!Farmer)
Summary: After a long day on the farm, you come home to your wife, Penny. Kisses, cuddles, and tickles happen. The end. (An anon asked me for this ages ago and I have finally delivered. I think successfully marrying Penny in my Stardew save filled me with inspiration. Anyways, enjoy!!)
After a long day on the farm, nothing brought you more joy than going home to Penny. As you crossed the threshold into the house, you kicked off your boots and headed to the sink, scrubbing the dirt off of your hands and wiping the sweat from your brow.
You wondered where Penny had run off to, as she was usually in the kitchen around this time. Suddenly, you felt a pair of arms wrap around you from behind, making you gasp with surprise, although it was obvious who had snuck up on you.
“There’s my favorite farm girl,” she said, pressing a kiss into the crook of your neck.
You melted into her touch, a pleased hum falling from your lips. “Hello to you too,” you replied, grinning. You turned to face her, leaning in to kiss her softly.
“Did you accomplish everything you wanted to today?” she asked. It was a question she often posed to you in the evenings. “If not, that's okay. We've got all the time in the world!”
You chuckled at her optimism. “I fed the animals, watered the crops, and did some shopping. Oh, and Sam says hi. We ran into each other while he was heading to work.”
Penny smiled. “Sounds like you were busy! I’m glad you’re home now, so we can relax.”
“Me too,” you said, pulling her closer by her waist. Your fingers climbed higher, pressing into her sides and making her giggle, an adorable sound that you have spent many hours drawing from her lips, ever since you moved to Pelican Town and met the shy, red-headed girl who had since become your wife.
She batted at your hands uselessly. “I said relax, not get all riled up!”
“Maybe I like riling you up,” you replied, grinning.
It was a clumsy dance, walking through the doorway of the bedroom and pushing Penny back against the mattress, still clinging to her in a tickly hug. Her melodic laughter came in soft waves as you manhandled her onto the bed, and then grew louder, persistent as your fingers began to scribble wildly against her sides.
Her legs kicked and her arms flailed, her cheeks turned pink and her smile stretched across her face. She was adorable, absolutely beautiful. Your heart melted at the sight.
As you lost yourself in admiring her, Penny took the opportunity to strike back. Her fingers found your belly and attacked, sending you into a similar fit of laughter.
“You worked so hard today, you deserve a break,” she said. Her tone was not quite teasing, but there was a hint of it beneath a sweet and genuine mask. “Let me make you laugh instead.”
And that was exactly what she did, exploring the sensitive spots she had found throughout your relationship. Your sides and stomach had been obvious places, poked when you were still just friends. Harder to reach places like your underarms and feet came during the dating stage. Spots like your inner thighs and ears came after marriage. She still exploited them all, giggling along with you as she gently took you apart.
It had been a very long day. Your life in Stardew Valley was certainly demanding. The farm, the mines, the quests to fill, friendships to maintain. After a long day, it was always nice to unwind, whether that be with a book by the fireplace, or squirming beneath Penny’s tickling fingers. Either way, your wife always knew how to improve your day.
As your laughter began to grow breathless, the time growing later and your energy draining, her touches slowed and her lips captured yours, kissing you softly.
“I love you,” she said.
“I love you too,” you replied, a giddy smile still etched onto your flushed face.
Penny was asleep in bed promptly at ten o’clock, as usual, but you stayed up, watching her rest. Starting a new life in Stardew Valley had been a risk, but you didn’t regret it for a second. The work was hard, but it was better than rotting behind a desk like you were years prior.
And meeting Penny was the best thing to come out of it all, that was for sure. Slowly but surely, you fell asleep beside her, resting up before another long day.

Alex wants to thank you for being so nice to his grandparents.
When you first moved to Pelican Town, the Mullners were the first people you befriended. Having been closest to your grandfather growing up, you had a soft spot in your heart for the elderly, and befriending Granny Evelyn and George came naturally to you. Eventually, you came to know about their daughter, Clara, who had tragically passed. They took in their grandson, Alex, not long after. You never really saw him much, as during the summer he worked the ice cream stand and other times he was either working out or hanging with Haley.
On one particular day, triggered by Penny pushing his wheelchair, George spent the rest of the day in a sour mood, even after she apologized. With help from Granny Evelyn, you decided to make him leek soup with fresh forage from the forest. It perked him up, and he was especially vulnerable with you.
He told you about the accident that left him permanently disabled, and how it made him feel knowing people look at him and see a weak, helpless old man. He opens up to you about how all he wants to do is be able to play catch with his grandson. You hold his hand as he tells you this. When he is done talking, there are tears in his eyes. You think for a moment before speaking.
"When I look at you, George, I don't see a weak old man. I see a compassionate man who puts his family first. I see a man who enjoys the little things in life, who doesn't take anything for granted. Most importantly, George, I see you." He smiles at that, and so does Granny, who heard everything from the doorway.
"Thank you, Farmer. The valley is a better place with you in it. And Evie and I have lived here for over 50 years," George said.
That evening you decided you were in the mood for something sweet, so for dinner you settled on breakfast. You were pouring syrup on your pancakes to really make it a complete breakfast, when you heard a knock on the door. You open the door to find Alex Mullner.
"Hey, Farmer girl. I just wanted to say thank you for being so nice to my grandparents, my Papaw especially. It's hard getting old, ya know? So it's real nice of you to do what you do for them," he looked down at you with a warm smile. You've never been this close to him before. He was cute. Real cute. You took note of his forest green eyes that had a natural confidence. You began to say it was no problem at all when he looked behind you and saw your set table.
"Wow, I knew I smelled something sweet. I love complete breakfast! Say, I haven't eaten yet, did you happen to make extras?" He asked excitedly.
You nod because you had more than enough pancakes left over, and invite Alex into your house. You serve him a plate and he thanks you. You notice he doesn't take a bite though, instead he waits for you to sit down.
"Do you say grace?" He asked. You say you don't, as you aren't really religious. You used to be, but that was before your parents died. Now, you don't really believe in Yoba. If he is, he isn't listening to you.
There's a moment of silence before you speak again.
"That doesn't mean you can't say grace, of course. I don't mind, really." Alex thanks you and bows his head, for some reason you feel compelled to do the same.
Alex gives grace to the food, to the pretty chef *wink*, to his grandparents, to the valley and to Yoba. You think it's poetic that someone who lost so much can still be so grateful. You open your eyes before him, and when he's done talking he looks at you with a big toothy grin.
"Alright, let's dig in!"
You make idle chit chat as you both eat, him devouring his food before you can even take two bites. He washes his plate in your sink much against your insistence. He asks you about your life before the valley, and you ask about his life in the valley. You grab a bottle of starfruit wine and offer him some, deciding the conversation can best be had on the couch. Before you know it, minutes turned to hours and it was already 9PM.
Talking to Alex tonight made you realize something. You were insanely attracted to him. You thought he was cute before the wine, but the wine only made the attraction worse. Alex had a gleam in his eye as he told you about his dream to be a professional gridball player.
"I think you could do it. I really mean that," you say, admiring everything about him. His dedication, his passion, his tousled hair, his perfect lips...
"Thanks for your support, I'll remember it when I go pro," he says. You bit your lip, and looked up to see Alex staring at you. You thought back to what he said earlier. Naughty thoughts raced your mined.
"Alex," a hot blush painted your cheeks.
"Do you really think I'm pretty?" You were confident enough that his answer didn't matter, but you were also confident you knew his answer. You wanted to hear him say it, and by the end of the night you wanted him begging.
A confident smirk spread across his lips.
"Yeah, I meant it. You might even be prettier than Haley," he said. You weren't pleased to be compared to another woman, and you wanted to let him know that.
"Don't ever compare me to anybody else, do you hear me?" You said, pointing a finger at him. He was shocked from your outburst.
"Wow, alright, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that," he sputtered. A blush ghosted his cheeks.
"My granny always taught me to respect women, I don't mean to offend you," he continued. You had an idea.
"I know of one way you can make it up to me," you said. You brought your head close to his.
"What's that?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper and his blush deepened. You smirked.
"Kiss me, Alex," you breathed, allowing him to close the gap. He kissed you hungrily, the wine leaving the two of you buzzed. He pulled you into his lap and held onto your hips tightly. You ran your fingers up his neck and through his hair before taking a fistful of it.
"Don't be hasty, puppy, Mommy's not going anywhere," you cooed. He whined at that, pressing his lips against your neck and sucking on it. You gasped in response. His hands continued wandering your body before settling on your breasts. He massaged them through your dress and you caught his lips in yours, sucking on his bottom lip and moaning into his mouth. You could feel him getting hard underneath you as your tongues whirled against each other.
"How far do you want to take this, puppy?" You asked him when you finally pulled away, rubbing his face with the back of your hand and smiling sweetly as he leaned into your touch.
"I'm willing to do whatever you want to do. I am a gentleman, after all," he smiled shyly at you for the first time and you almost melted. You didn't know Alex Mullner knew shy. A new fire lit up inside you.
"Good, then get on your knees for me," you commanded, removing yourself from his lap and making yourself comfortable on the couch. You pulled your dress up to your waist and removed your panties. They were printed with strawberries, you picked them out to match your dress. Alex hummed with delight, his eyes darkening with arousal because of the sight before him. He did as he was told and got on his knees in between your legs.
"Be a good boy, and lick my pussy," you said, shyness out the window. Alex was eager to please, and he spread your legs apart and inhaled your scent. You smelled sweet, like the syrup from dinner. He kissed up both your thighs and you couldn't help but shudder. He took his time reaching your heat, looking up at you as he hovered his lips above it. He held eye contact with you for a moment before his lips enveloped your swollen clit, already so turned on for him.
"A-ah~" you cried out. "Fuck!"
He flattened his tongue and licked your entire pussy, the tip peeking curiously into your hole. His left hand held you down by your stomach as you humped his face, his other hand cupping at your breast.
"Oh, you're making me feel so good, puppy~" you cooed, and he groaned against your clit, sending the vibrations through your whole body. Ensuring you were wet enough, he focused his tongue on your clit and pulled his hand away from your tit, choosing instead to shove his middle and ring finger into your sopping wet hole. He curled them upward just right and had you arching your back off the couch. It didn't take long before you were crying out his name and cumming all over his face. He pulled his fingers out of you, humming pleasantly at how wet you made him, and looked at his fingers thoughtfully. He looked back at you and with your lips parted slightly, he took his chance to shove his fingers in your mouth. You happily accepted them, grabbing his wrist and twirling your tongue around his digits, becoming acquainted with your own flavor.
Once you were satisfied, you popped his fingers out of your mouth and pulled him towards you. You kissed him sweetly before trading places with him, kneeling before him.
"Since you were such a good boy, I'll let you fuck my mouth," you purred up at him. You opened your mouth wide for him and stuck your tongue flat out. He obviously wasted no time pulling his thick length out and placing it upon your entrance.
Closing your lips around him, you helped him slide himself down your throat. Once he was sure you could handle him, he regained his confidence and grabbed fistfuls of your hair on either side of your head to help him fuck you.
"Fuck, you're such a pretty girl taking my cock, yeah? You wanted it so bad didn't you? Well, you can have it," he grunted as he thrust in and out of you. You had to relax and breathe through your nose as he took complete advantage of your mouth. Your tongue underneath his length caused slobber to pool out of your mouth, your face getting messy. It wasn't long before you could feel his dick start throbbing and he suddenly thrust it in the back of your mouth, spilling his seed down your throat. You had no choice but to swallow every last drop. His hands still in your hair, he pulled you off him.
"Get up here so I can fuck your needy ass properly," he growled. You mewled in anticipation as you did what you were told, the roles from earlier reversing. He grabbed a fistful of your hair and positioned you so you were hanging over the side of the couch. He used his other hand to smack your ass hard, leaving a red handprint. He spanked you again, and again, and again until you were crying out from pain. He rubs one hand over your sore cheek, and uses his other hand to rub spit on his cock, lining it up with your throbbing wet hole. He hunches over you, and breathes a plea into your ear.
"Say you want it. Please," he begs.
"I want it, Alex. God, I want you so bad," You whine in return. With one swift motion he enters you, the two of you groaning in harmony. He pulls almost all the way out before slamming into you again, his hips slapping into your ass. He pounds into you for a while, whispering sweet nothings into your ear.
"You feel so good, you take me so well. I just wanna make you feel good, make you feel so so good," he murmured, rutting into you with purpose. He was hitting all the right spots, fucking you so good you saw stars. He returned a hand to your hair and you cried out as he grabbed and yanked your head back. He leaned forward and bit into your shoulder roughly and you screamed.
"Oh fuck, yes daddy fuck me!" He twitched and growled.
"Say it again," he commanded.
"Your cock feels soo good in my pussy, daddy!" You moaned. It was then that Alex decided he needed to make you moan as much as he possibly could, for as long as he possibly could. He didn't need anybody else, not with how good you're taking his cock underneath him. How well you clench around him, and how prettily you say his name? Not to mention he's never had a girl call him daddy before, and he could get used to hearing that.
"Are you on the pill?" He asked, slowing his thrusting down slightly.
"Yes, daddy, cum in me pleaseee~" you begged, throwing your hips back desperately. He came immediately, pushing himself as deep as possible as he cried out.
"Fuckkk, you're such a good girl," he breathed into your neck. He pulled out of you, and watched fascinatingly as a glob of his cum spilled out of you. You slinked off the couch and onto the floor in front of him, massaging his thighs once more.
"Let me show you how good I can really be, daddy," you whispered. Alex's breath caught in his throat. He was in for a wild ride.

Teenage Dirtbag | Sebastian (Stardew Valley)
cross-posted from my wattpad
prompt -  in which the farmer's big move isn't necessarily entirely their choice, but they've made peace with it.
warnings - canon divergence
gender-neutral farmer (they/them pronouns used)
⦿ pelican town, winter year 1
IT HAD BEEN ALMOST A FULL YEAR SINCE I MOVED. This was a fleeting thought, one that hint me suddenly before being dismissed as not a big deal. I didn't really think about it again until Robin brought it up one day while I was there to talk to her about building a stable.
"I have to say, what you've done with that farm is really impressive. I know it wasn't necessarily your choice of life, but you've gotta admit you've done a lot in under a year, Farmer," she complimented sincerely. I knew that she meant it, and that she was probably right, but I had to bite my tongue from verbally refusing her praise.
I instead just offered a tight-lipped smile, and chose the only out I could think of. "A year already. That's crazy." I did my best to seem amazed, but my acting admittedly wasn't great. I'm sure Robin knew exactly what I was doing in avoiding the conversation. She let it rest though, and for that I would always be grateful.
We finished discussing the payment and materials for the stable and I bid her farewell, zipping my coat back up to my nose as I headed for the snow outside.
"Be careful out there, please," Robin hurriedly called just as I was reaching the front door. She caught me a bit by surprise, and when I turned to look at her, I'm sure my eyes betrayed that fact. Her face reddened, "I know you take the mountain path, and it gets extra icy up there."
Before I could say anything to wave off her concerns, another head appeared around the corner. Sebastian had apparently decided to come up from his room for the day, and upon hearing his mother talking, was curious to see who was in the entryway.
Our eyes met, and out of courtesy, I gave a small wave. It took him a moment to process, but he sent me a groggy half-smile in return. We admittedly didn't know each other well – not that I knew anyone in town well, really – but I did seem to always run into him when I came to visit his mom. We didn't really talk when we did see each other, partially because he seems to hate people, and partially because I don't know how to talk to people my own age.
I cleared my throat, quickly turning my attention from Sebastian to Robin. "I'll walk through town," I reassured her. I knew that I would most likely change my mind and take my usual route the minute she was out of sight, but sometimes white lies are okay if they help people sleep at night.
"You can walk with Sebastian, then," Robin hastily offered up, alarming both myself and her son.
Sebastian's eyebrows flew upwards. "They can?" he asked, his face blank. He had just rolled out of bed. Obviously, he was not anticipating going into town this early.
Robin, however, either didn't notice this, or didn't care. She instead just gave him an affirmative nod. "You told me yesterday you'd pick the stuff for dinner up from Pierre's for me. Remember?"
"Well yeah," He quickly covered. His eyes flickered to me for just a second, before frantically flashing back to his mother. "I wasn't planning on going, like, now."
A sour expression crossed Robin's face, and she looked like she was going to argue. I knew that she was trying to passively teach him something about manners, but I wasn't afraid of a little snow.
I spoke up before she had the chance. "I appreciate it, Robin, but the snow is a walk in the park compared to the mines," I explained lightly. She still looked uncertain, so I reassured her one more time, "I'll be fine. It's not snowing as hard now as it was earlier."
Robin sighed, apparently admitting defeat. "Alright. I'll come see you tomorrow morning about that stable."
I nodded thankfully, "Right, thank you. I'll see you then." This time, I dismissed thoughts of courtesy and avoided Sebastian's eyes entirely as I slipped out the front door.
I wanted nothing more than to run home to a bottle of wine and Queen of Sauce reruns, but after all of that, my conscience didn't let me take the short way home. Robin clearly cared a lot about me getting home safely – more than I cared about me getting home safely – and it felt wrong to lie to her.
I shoved my hands into my jacket pockets as I walked, my shoulders hunched against the lightly falling snowing. The cold air pinched my nose, and I sneezed, which was enough motivation to get me to pull jacket up even higher.
I didn't mind the snow or the cold too much, but walking in it would never be my favorite thing. As I trudged through town, I was reminded of my walks alone to school as a child on days when my mother worked early and couldn't drop me off. I sighed, as I typically did when I thought of her. I loved her dearly, and she was my hero growing up, but as a young adult, I could only seem to remember all the ways she did me wrong.
Like guilt tripping me into dropping everything and moving to my grandfather's farm, for example. I'm half convinced she's the one who coerced him to leave it to me in the will, if I'm honest. She apparently wasn't a fan of my life in the city.
By the time I got back to the farmhouse, my legs ached. I cursed Robin under my breath as I screwed the cork out of a new bottle of wine, but realistically, the extra walk was nice. I sighed to myself as I curled up under the wool blanket I kept draped over the couch. Whatever resentment I was harboring towards this town and the people in it, I needed to shake. For better or for worse, this was my life now. And it really wasn't all that bad.
⦿
I WAS BREWING A POT OF COFFEE WHEN SOMEONE KNOCKED ON MY DOOR THE NEXT MORNING. I knew that it had to be Robin, so I stepped away from the kitchen to answer it. I jumped a little bit when I discovered that it was not Robin, but rather her son.
My heart started racing. "Is your mom okay?" I blurted, forgetting all formalities. He raised his eyebrows at my comment, surprise flashing across his face. His awkward fidgeting suddenly reminded me that he was probably just as uncomfortable as I was. I cleared my throat, "Sorry."
"No, it's okay," he awkwardly said. "At least you... um, care... I guess." I nodded, and a brief silence overtook the conversation. Sebastian quickly explained the situation, "She sent me to tell you she's not coming today. I guess she woke up with a cold, I don't know. I always feel like shit when I wake up as early as she does, so."
His mention of the time got me thinking, and I glanced at my wrist watch. It was hardly 8. "Isn't this early for you?" I asked.
He nodded, a groggy scowl on his lips. "Trust me, I'm not here by choice," he grumbled. After a second, he added, "no offense."
I shrugged off his apology. "I didn't get up much before ten when I lived at home," I responded, hoping it would ease a bit of the odd tension in the air.
"I bet that change must've sucked," he said.
I nodded, "it did."
There was another awkward pause. Had socializing always been this difficult? Sebastian cleared his throat to say something – goodbye, I'm sure – but sneezed instead. A shiver seemed to run up his spine, and I realized that he was wearing pajama pants, slippers, and a hoodie. In the snow. At 8 am.
"Um, do you want a cup of coffee?" I found myself asking. The socialization was awkward, but I wasn't going to let him freeze to death. I guess I do have compassion for other people.
Take that, mom.
He took a moment to process my offer. "Ah," he started, awkwardly scratching at the back of his neck. I felt a refusal coming, which I was honestly fine with – at least I offered. But after a look around the snowy fields, and then a long assessment of my face, he sighed. "You don't mind?"
I shook my head, a tiny smile on my pursed lips. "I'm not gonna drink an entire pot of coffee by myself," I responded.
That seemed to be the right answer, as he actually smiled. "Thanks," he mumbled shyly. I just returned his smile and showed him to the kitchen.
The pot was just finishing up when I returned to the countertop, hoping that Sebastian would seat himself without instruction needed. The soft sound of wood scraping against wood told me my hopes were answered.
I poured two mugs of coffee and grabbed a bowl of cream before joining my guest at the table. I only really had two chairs, as I had been focused on other things, and I didn't typically entertain enough guests to need multiple chairs, anyway. I didn't typically entertain guests at all.
Sebastian muttered another "thank you" as he wrapped his hands around the warm mug. This time I actually told him he was welcome, mostly because I didn't know what to talk about, and it would be significantly harder to excuse awkward silence now that he was in my house. It didn't matter, though. The kitchen grew quiet anyway.
"I can't believe you left the city for this," Sebastian eventually blurted as his eyes traveled around the farmhouse. When I raised an eyebrow at him, his face reddened. "Sorry. Your farm is really nice, too, I just mean..." he trailed off, his embarrassment outweighing his desire to explain himself.
I fought back my extreme amusement to give him a relatively vague answer, hoping to push the subject away. "I can't believe it either, sometimes," was all I said. I figured he could interpret that however he liked.
To my dismay, my guest seemed more curious about my backstory that I would've predicted. "Why did you move out here? I mean, I know the farm was your grandfather's, or whatever, but you chose to move."
The sleep had more or less vanished from his face, and he instead sat in front of me bright-eyed, genuinely intrigued in my answer. It would've been endearing, possibly even flattering, if it wasn't such a sore subject. I quickly reminded myself that I had just promised that I would let my resentment go. I sighed, "It's a long story."
He glanced at my watch, wordlessly pointing out that we had time for a long story. Even passively, he managed to be a smartass.
"I didn't really choose to move," I prefaced. I watched as his face darkened, a similar embarrassment to earlier spreading across his expression. Before he made himself feel too bad, I told the story. "My mom more or less made that choice for me. She didn't really agree with the choices I made or the people I spent time with after I graduated high school. And I guess I can't blame her.
When my grandfather died last year, I had pretty much just turned twenty, and still pretty dependent on my parents in a lot of ways. My dad and I had this big argument one day, and then the next night my mom was more or less blackmailing me into moving out to the farm."
It was quiet for a second as Sebastian tried to decipher if I was done. When he decided that I was, he said, "I get it. You didn't like, want to come here. That makes sense."
I shrugged." I mean, I didn't hate my life in Zuzu. I got into trouble, made some mistakes here and there," I paused, my face dipped to hide my embarrassment. I reeled it back, "I was just starting to really try and figure my life out. And then all of a sudden I was just living an entirely new life. It's like I didn't get a break from feeling out of place."
He nodded like he understood the feeling, though I'd never ask if he did or not. The was a pause, and then he asked, "Do you plan on going back, then?"
It was a weird situation to be in. On one hand, this was the question that haunted me every night as I fell asleep. On the other, I never imagined that Robin's son, of all people, was going to be the one to finally make me face it.
"Not at the moment," I settled, He made a face, and I added, "I like it here, even if I don't like admitting it. I'm finally adjusting to it, and I don't want to just drop everything again."
He nodded pensively as he took a long sip from his mug, his shoulders relaxing. I half expected him to disagree with my opinion. He gave me the impression he wasn't exactly fond of his hometown. To my surprise, he instead conceded, "Living here is... nice."
I agreed, and then because I couldn't think of anything else to say, I resorted to finishing my coffee. The room fell back into silence, but it wasn't quite as uncomfortable this time around.
When both of our coffee mugs were empty, Sebastian wasted no time in excusing himself – something I appreciated. I was already prepared to tell him that I had to go check on the chickens, but he mentioned needing to go back to his mom before I have to use my excuse.
I walked him to the door, as any good host would, and suddenly found myself in the awkward place of not knowing how to say goodbye. I didn't think that we were exactly friends, but we certainly knew each other a lot better now than we did when he got here. I was able to admit to myself that having an acquaintance in town felt kind of nice.
"Tell your mom I hope she feels better, and to not worry about the stable," I requested. I watched as he nodded, his expression stoic. Sighing internally, I forced myself to swallow my pride. "It was also nice to talk to you, for a change."
It took a second for him to process my words, but once he did, an honest smile popped onto his face. "Yeah, you too," he returned meekly.
I gave him a small smile. After a brief pause, he scratched at the back of his neck, his expression suddenly covered with what looked like the desire to flee. I was almost expecting him to turn and leave without saying anything else, but he instead cleared his throat and said, "Thanks again for the coffee. Um, next time you're over to talk to my mom, you should come say hi."
His words caught me off guard, but I think I managed to smile and nod like a normal person. My reaction – though I don't remember it – seemed to be appropriate, as I received a smile in return. He sent me a small wave before pulling his hood up over his ears and trudging out into the snow.
An unfamiliar feeling thumped in my chest as I went back inside to clear the dishes from the table. My day would fall into a routine after that, just like every day seemed to in Pelican Town. I found that I didn't really mind.

hi! can you please write how demetrius would react to maru being obvious in falling for a fem farmer? if you’re not comfortable with characterizing maru, you can do sebastian instead! i know she’s kind of hard to write for 🫶
Hello!
This spiraled into their family dynamic + Demetrius reacting to both options lol…So here are some general hc to get us started bc I love exploring family dynamics. I also have two awesome step (bonus) parents so I wanted to give Demetrius a little more nuance than just shitty step dad y'know?
I also added in a lot of my own head canons regarding Sebastian bc that's my emo boy lol
Sebastian was immediately distrusting of Demetrius as he is super protective of his mom (when his dad dipped he assigned himself man of the house even though her was like 5 max)
Demetrius just did NOT know what to do with him and it’s not that he dislikes Seb at all, it's that they can be agreeing and still be arguing
they have VERY different communication styles. Demetrius figured they would have a better relationship when Sebastian was older but kids remember how they were treated and Demetrius realized too late he hadn’t put in the necessary work to have a good relationship as adults
Demetrius wasn’t super eager to be a dad until Robin was pregnant with Maru and his entire world shifted and Sebastian noticed (as a small child he’s having very reasonable reactions let’s be clear)
Demetrius was over protective and favored his own daughter for sure but a lot of that had to do with pressuring Sebastian to be a good big brother and take care of Maru
Ex: the kids are fighting and little sisters scratch so Sebastian pins her to the ground—Sebastian retaliating would FREAK Demetrius out even though Seb definitely didn’t actually hurt Maru and Robin would have to intervene and remind Demetrius to let them be siblings and fight it out (to be honest I just kinda hc Robin as a grown up Wendy from Gravity Falls with all those brothers I think she fears nothing)
This is especially tough because Maru really wanted a relationship with Sebastian! And he wanted to be a good big brother but they were never really allowed to develop that due to Demetrius’s hovering and supervising their every interaction
They could have been such a dynamic duo and Seb is just as bright as Maru it makes me sad bro
I think Demetrius doesn’t mean to be as much of a dick as he is but Sebastian never learned how to “speak Demetrius” and vice versa
Doesn’t mean he’s a great step dad just that his intent is better than what the situation may seem
Maru being obvious about falling for fem!farmer, Demetrius POV
Demetrius is sweating that’s his baby girl and he isn’t sure about this new farmer
Why did she leave her job in the city? Will she be able to provide for Maru? Will she treat Maru well and respect her? Will she get in the way of her bright future? (His only solace is that nobody is gonna accidentally get pregnant and that makes him much more chill)
The first thing he notices is that Maru is just missing for hours at a time. He totally doesn’t keep tabs on her but hey, Pelican Town is pretty small and everyone knows everyone’s business
She says she’s just helping out the farmer with some repairs and optimization, but he’s fairly certain the farmer couldn’t possibly have THAT many sprinklers to repair
He’s heard Maru gushing to Robin about how sweet the farmer is and how strong she is—and that put him on edge but he figured it was just a harmless crush and Maru was too focused to ever become distracted like that (sure Jan)
Whenever he brings up the new farmer Maru goes pink and changes the topic
The farmer is also friends with Sebastian, which results in Maru and her brother talking more and hanging out—which Demetrius knows is good but I feel like Sebastian stresses him out since they’re so different and he’s worried, as always, that Sebastian will negatively influence her
It doesn’t help that the farmer doesn’t seem appropriately intimidated by him either. His whole little speech in the lab is met with an incredulous stare before the farmer bursts out laughing and says she’s not a teenage boy picking up Maru for prom
He has no idea how to respond to that tbh
Thankfully when Maru is back they don’t say anything…at least in front of him. Maru has a talk with him later but that has a good outcome even if he’s a little cowed. Robin was there to back up Maru
He thinks it’s all well and good until both Maru and the Farmer join Sebastian’s Dnd campaign (Maru plays an artificer don’t @ me) he thinks most fantasy/games are a waste of time so he is miffed but it’s not like he can tell Maru she’s not allowed to play (considering she’s over the age of 20) so he just sulks
I feel like the biggest change other than the relationship with the farmer and Maru is the sibling relationship between Maru and Sebastian
Maru likes sci-fi and fantasy and she’s finally old enough not to be so influenced by her dad and it turns out the two have a lot of common interests—he helps her with coding and she builds him a little wind up frog and they’re hanging out and she confides in Sebastian that she has a crush on the farmer and his response is just
“Oh really?? Wow I’m simply shocked hm. Color me surprised. I couldn’t tell from the way you spend every minute of your day with her or talking about her. Tell me again about how they chopped wood soooooo efficiently and you totally weren’t just staring at their biceps—“ he’s cut off when she throws a pillow at him
so he’s been helping her and giving advice and honestly ships it bc the Farmer has been doing the exact same thing (visiting, talking about Maru, asking him about Maru, bringing Maru Little presents and surprises) and he thinks they’d be a good match
Once farmer and Maru are together the Farmer gets a shovel talk that she very politely sits through trying really hard not to make eye contact with Robin because they’ll both burst out laughing. Maru and Seb are in the room next door with a cup to the wall each
Sebastian being obvious about falling for fem!farmer, Demetrius POV
Okay this is a totally different vibe for obvious reasons
To get in more with my hc for Sebastian’s history I think he went to college for a year but dropped out due to mental health and burn out and that’s how he ended up freelancing from the basement
Demetrius gives me old school vibes of “everyone gets sad sometimes it’s fine” but Robin did threaten to leave him if he wasn’t better about Sebastian being depressed
So he took a very scientific approach to mental health after that and the benefits of therapy and Sebastian got better and things got better but it’s hard for their relationship recover from esp bc it affected his marriage
He tries to be helpful and encouraging but it’s very “Humans need x number of hugs per day” and no hugs y’feel? Like “you’ll feel better if you exercise” probably true but not helpful when you’re too depressed to brush your teeth ‘
He is worried about Sebastian and does care about his well being he’s just not good at expressing it and is kinda still trying to tough love him man to man
Like he wants Sebastian to move out for his own good—“it’s not healthy for a young man his age to live in his moms basement” definitely coming off as a criticism tho like Demetrius choose your words better pls
So when the pretty new farmer started coming around he was delighted—even if he assumed she was interested in Maru leading to an awkward conversation in the lab—he was actually really excited for Sebastian
Maru is also friends with the farmer which only makes him think more highly of her because after their discussion he’s realized his daughter is a good judge of character
Plus she needles Sebastian about it and when he’s snarky and in denial she’s like “Right so I won’t invite you to the Saloon on Friday when I’m meeting her…”
At some point the teasing from her has them both running through the house yelling like their kids again with Maru booking it and Sebastian giving chase
Give me sibling interactions I am begging you
Seeing how hard working the farmer was and how dedicated to the town she became, he liked her more and more and thought she could be a really good influence on Sebastian
If Sebastian and the farmer get together he’s very proud of Seb’s progress even if he doesn’t say much
he has such a proud dad moment like hell yeah my boy got out of the basement look at him go I wasn’t sure he could do it and I was worried about him
Like nobody wants to live their life in their moms basement y’know and nobody wants that for someone they care about but damn Demetrius could have a worse way of expressing that

[Part 2] The Day After The Day Before | Sebastian x Reader, Platonic!Sam x Reader (Angst, mild Fluff)
Category: Angst, Fluff (Mandatory) Age: 18+ Trigger Warnings: Implied non-con, implied sexual assault, physical violence, blood, miscarriage, forced pregnancy, physical violence, verbal abuse, bleeding, head injury, hospitalisation, explicit language Ship: Sebastian x Reader, Platonic!Sam x Reader, implied Sam x Sebastian x Reader Summary: She'd heard so many good things about her best friend, Sam's, father, Kent, and it was true, he was lovely! Right up until he wasn't. How was she meant to tell Sebastian? Sam? The answer is simple: she couldn't. But apparently she couldn't hide it either. Request: N/A Contains Spoilers for: N/A Word Count: 6k
---
Almost six months have passed since the day (Y/N) learnt she was pregnant with that monster’s child. She decided to keep the baby. It was a hard decision, unsure whether she’d permanently be traumatised every time she looked at her child but thought about it more prominently as Sam’s brother than Kent’s son or daughter.
Sebastian and Sam, as promised, supported her the whole way. It’s not like she had anyone else. Harvey and Maru were judge-free too and have been helping her throughout the entire process.
Sebastian and Sam moved on to the farm with her, Sam occupying the spare room whilst Sebastian shared hers. It was fun. They helped her grow once again into the bright, chatty woman she once was before he took it all away.
Jodi never welcomed Sam back into their home after that Godforsaken day. She spread rumours about Kent’s beaten up face. Said that Sebastian had gaslighted Sam into abusing the family. Said that Sebastian was the one who raped (Y/N). Oh, yeah, a real likely story. Robin and Demetrius tried to get answers out of Sebastian about what actually happened, but he didn’t give them any information. He simply told his mother that he was moving onto the farm with (Y/N) and Sam to support her as she’s pregnant. Clarified it wasn’t his child. Robin didn’t interfere much more than that, Demetrius making snark comments at the boy which is just ignored.
Abigail regularly came by when she could, but Caroline forbid it. Naturally, Jodi opened her mouth and made the farmer the talk of the town. No one really gossiped about it except Jodi. She would do anything to protect her husband, and if that meant making everyone in Pelican Town hate the little bitch who took over the farm then so be it.
On the farm, Sam absolutely adored her chickens. Who knew the skater boy enjoyed farming so much? Sebastian enjoyed collecting fruit from all the trees, being sad in Winter when that wasn’t something he could do. They always went out foraging for some crystal fruits though. The pair made sure that she didn’t have to lift a finger anymore. Not whilst pregnant.
“I wanna go to the saloon.” (Y/N) admits one Friday night as the trio are watching some grid ball game on the television.
The two men look at her with surprised expressions on their faces.
“You serious?”
She nods but keeps her eyes on the screen across the room.
“I miss playing pool on Friday nights. I miss Gus and Emily listening to my boring farm talk, I miss Clint telling me about what cool shit he managed to forge together out of the leftover ore I had, I miss Willy’s voice shaking the place as he tells Clint all about some huge as Scorpion Carp he found…” The woman trails off. “I miss being normal.” “Then let’s go to the saloon.” Sam states. “People are gonna stare…” The woman trails off. “Let them; you look stunning.” Sebastian tells her, watching her blush and curl into him. “He’s right.” The blond adds, smirking and flashing a wink. “Come on, you’ve got me and Seb by your side - nothing will happen to you. Besides, as much as my mom is capable of opening her huge fucking mouth, the town adores you too much to listen.”
(Y/N) wishes she believed him. She’s trying to.
Sam calls up Abigail, asking her to come down and meet them at the saloon. She’s never been so excited to watch the boys play pool.
They walk down, basking in the late-Spring breeze that surrounds them.
“I’ve missed town.” (Y/N) sighs, smiling at the sight of the buildings around her in the town square. “I dunno why, it’s shite.” Sebastian remarks, the trio chuckling at the sarcasm.
They come to a halt outside of the Stardrop, the two men patiently waiting for the woman to be ready to go inside.
“It’ll be okay. My family don’t even come in here.” Sam reassures.
She nods and they finally enter. Peoples heads turn to acknowledge whoever has just walked in and the chat immediately dies down.
(Y/N) wonders if Sebastian is nervous, knowing the rumours were that he’s the one who knocked her up without consent. He doesn’t seem phased. The truth is he isn’t. The people who matter know the truth, and anyone who believes the lies aren’t worth having around.
The farmer’s convinced everyone heard her gulp.
Sam and Sebastian don’t falter, the latter reaching for the woman’s hiding and offering an encouraging smile. He’ll take anything that is thrown her way. Both of them will. She knows it. She’s grateful.
As Sebastian leads her into the pool room, Elliott’s voice speaks up.
“(Y/N),” He calls, the woman freezing. Sam and Sebastian do too. The trio turn to look at the man sitting at the bar, everyone’s eyes on them. “It’s good to see you back.”
The tears that well up in her eyes are staining her cheeks before she can even attempt to hide them.
Elliott smiles and stands up, Leah admiring his confidence, approaching the farmer, opening his arms for a hug which she graciously accepts.
“Thank you so much.” She whimpers into his burgundy jacket. “No need, little lady. We’ve missed you more than you know.”
The red-head offers a smile at the two men whom the farmer walked in with, them returning it with a nod.
“How many weeks are you now?” He asks, admiring the prominent bump under the woman’s dress. “Twenty-four.” She whispers, naturally resting her hands there. “You know if it’s a boy or a girl yet?” “Keeping it a surprise.” “Nice.”
Elliott heads back to the bar, taking a seat by Leah, and (Y/N) continues her path toward the pool table with Sebastian and Sam.
The tension is already gone thanks to Elliott and the night is pretty relaxing. Abigail joins them shortly after they arrive, her constantly talking to the baby bump as if it’s gonna respond.
“I’m gonna go order a drink from the bar - I wanna chat with Gus and Emily.” (Y/N) states, her three friends nodding and smiling in admiration. “Okay, doll; we’ll be right here.”
She nods at Sebastian with a smile before heading over to the bar, standing beside Elliott.
“Hey, Gus,” She greets, the bartender offering her a warm smile. “Evenin’, farmer. Good to see ya face again. What’re ya havin’?”
She giggles at his attempted farmer’s accent.
“Just a blackcurrant and soda water, please?” “Comin’ right up, ma’am.” “It really is good to see your face again, (Y/N).” Elliott comments, turning to face the woman once again. “I appreciate it so much.” She whispers, tearing up again.
He smiles and wraps his arm around her before picking up his drink.
“Ladies and Gents, if I could have your attention, please,” The red-head begins, (Y/N)’s eyes widening. “I’d like to raise a toast to our sweetheart of a farmer who joined our wonderful town and naturally made it a better place. She hasn’t been able to have our support lately but I’d like everyone now to raise a toast to this little lady in congratulations of the wonderful baby they’re carrying.” He announces, eyes locking with everyone in the bar. “To (Y/N)!”
And everyone does toast. Drinks in the air. Everyone cheering. Hell, even Clint does and he’s as quiet as anything.
The woman hides her face in Elliott’s jacket in embarrassment. He chuckles and strokes her back.
There’s some fun chat and banter throughout the bar as (Y/N) catches up with everyone, quickly feeling a lot more welcome in her local despite what her worrying thoughts warned her about.
So much fun going on that she doesn’t acknowledge the saloon doors opening.
“Well, well, well, this all looks awfully friendly.”
(Y/N) freezes up at the voice. She’s stood at the bar talking to Emily, the door directly behind her, along with the wife of that monster.
“Surprised the whore actually decided to show her face again.”
The farmer’s eyes clench shut as she fears everything that’s about to happen. Sam and Sebastian hear the voice and stride over to the archway that connects the pool room to the main bar.
“I presume you’ve also fucked the bitch by now, Samson.” Jodi snarks, turning to look at her son who stares her down.
Sebastian looks ready to kill.
“Jodi, I’m afraid if you’re going to be rude, I’m going to have to ask you to leave.” Gus states, trying to remain professional.
The woman smirks.
“Why do I have to leave when that little rat has been spreading her legs for everyone in order to ruin my life!?”
(Y/N) is trembling now, hands gripping onto the bar as if it’s keeping her from collapsing.
“Jodi,” Elliott speaks up, giving the woman a glare that tells her not to start. “Gus asked you to leave.” “Are you all stupid!?” “Mom-” “Don’t you dare call me your fucking mother!” Jodi instantly interrupts her son, pointing her finger.
Sam gulps but is prepared to fight this battle.
“And you!” The woman continues, pointing at the dark-haired boy standing beside her son. “You manipulative, gaslighting little shit!”
Sebastian doesn’t falter at her words. She’s delusional.
“What did you think you’d gain out of making my own son hate his father!?” “Kent did that himself.” The boy remarks, Jodi’s eyes flaring up with more anger. “You’re sick. You’re fucked in the head.”
Sebastian’s convinced that if his mother was here, she’d have lost her shit at Jodi by now.
“Perhaps, but my husband didn’t rape someone half his age whilst still married, so I guess I’ve got that going for me.”
The tension in the room is suffocating. People’s eyes widen as they acknowledge the truth in Sebastian’s words. Kent was the one who got her pregnant.
“Let’s just go.” (Y/N) manages, turning to look at her two best friends.
Jodi scoffs.
“Yeah, that’s right, run back to that petty little farm that you can’t even run properly so drag those two down with you. My son had a future before you fucked him up!”
The farmer sighs and turns around to finally meet Jodi’s glare.
The woman’s eyes widen at the sight of her belly and (Y/N) very rapidly realises that Jodi didn’t know.
“You have got to be fucking joking me.”
The woman at the bar freezes, shaking once more.
“I’m just gonna go home.” She manages, taking a step forward and turning toward the archway where her two best friends are standing, but that’s when Sebastian screams.
“NO!”
Everything happens too fast.
(Y/N)’s head whips back around just in time to see Jodi lunging for her, shoving the farmer with enough force to send her stumbling back into the bar, knocking the wind out of her, before falling into the bar stools and to the ground.
Sebastian and Sam dove forward but weren’t as fast as the silent man in the blue Joja jacket who grabs Jodi by her throat and slams her up against the wall of the saloon.
(Y/N)’s breaths are heavy, moaning in pain, hands wrapping around her belly as her two best friends drop down beside her, along with Elliott and Leah.
“I was always taught to never hit a woman but you’re no fucking lady.” Shane all but growls as Jodi gasps for breath, hands clawing at the man’s hand in an attempt to alleviate his grip. “Shane-” She gasps, eyes wide. “I could fucking kill you, you know that?” The man warns, grip not faltering. “You had the audacity to tell everyone in this town that Sebastian touched her without permission when in reality it was your shit-eating husband.” “Shane…” Marnie’s voice manages to reach his ears. He forgot she was here, to be honest. He doesn’t care.
Marnie isn’t telling him to stop, no. Marnie agrees wholeheartedly with his actions. He knows that. She’s warning him to be careful. To not get caught.
With another shove into the wall, Shane drops the woman, Jodi dropping to her knees as she gasps for breath once more. The man spins around and acknowledges Sebastian and Sam helping the pregnant woman stand up.
And that’s when he sees it.
“Get her to Harvey.” He states, eyes wide. “Yeah, no shit.” Sam manages, not intending to come across harshly. “No, seriously,” Shane adds. “Guys…” Elliott speaks up, Sebastian and Sam looking down and seeing the red stains on the floor where (Y/N) was lay.
The same red stains at the bottom of her dress. The same red stains leaking down her legs.
The two boys’ eyes widen and they look at one another before looking at the girl they’re holding who’s eyes are also on the mess.
“No…” She whimpers, legs giving in but Sebastian and Sam catch her. “Come on, baby, we’ve gotta get you to Harvey. The dark-haired boy manages, heading toward the door. “No, no, no, no, no, please!” She’s screaming. Sobbing. Her heart is shattering and everyone can see it.
Shane opens the door for the boys, sprinting ahead and banging on Harvey’s door.
“HARV, OPEN UP! EMERGENCY!” He yells, Sam and Sebastian slowly approaching with the screaming woman in their arms. “FOR FUCKS SAKE, HARVEY, OPEN UP!”
The doctor sprints to the door scared that Shane has relapsed once again, but this is so much worse.
“She’s bleeding.” They’re the only words Sam manages as he meets the scared gaze of Harvey.
He nods and ushers them inside, quickly preparing a bed for the woman where he injects her with some substance or other to knock her out, her screams dying down.
Sam and Sebastian are stood by the bed, bloodstains on their clothes, eyes wide as Harvey begins to work on the woman.
“Guys, come on, you’ve gotta let him work.” Shane attempts, they listen. They stare at the woman with lost eyes but let Shane lead them outside of the room.
They’re lost. Sam and Sebastian. Shane is talking to them both but neither of them can understand any of the words he’s saying. They simply manage to find each others’ gaze and cling onto each other in a bone-shattering hug.
Shane’s breaths are heavy. He isn’t exactly best friends with the farmer but she’s the only one who never judged him. She would always sit with him and have a drink. Buy him a pint or two. Saved his life when he hit an all-time low. He saw her as a friend, and she saw him as an equal. That was more than enough for him.
When he heard the gossip that Kent was attacked by Sebastian because the soldier threatened to expose that the quiet emo both was a rapist, he didn’t believe it. How could he? (Y/N) treated Sebastian with the same amount of care that she treated himself with. Now he knows he was right. Sebastian isn’t a bad guy, but that fucking asshole…
Hours pass. How many? Neither of the men are sure. Sebastian told Shane to go home after he calmed down. Thanked the man for defending (Y/N). Shane could only apologise that he wasn’t quick enough to stop the initial hit - Sam and Sebastian told him it wasn’t his fault. He wishes he believed them.
Harvey’s footsteps echo across the surgery, Sam and Sebastian immediately up on their feet and looking at the man with so much anticipation
“She’s still out but will probably wake in the next hour or so.” The doctor begins, the men somewhat nodding but awaiting the more important information.
Harvey sighs and removes his glasses from his face and ruffling his hair.
“Gents, I’m sorry, but the baby didn’t make it.”
Sebastian’s body starts to shut down. He remains frozen, eyes staring lifelessly at the brunet in front of him.
“Seb,” Sam whispers, noticing the absence of life in his friend.
The blond’s heartbroken. He’s crying. Not only was that his best friend’s kid, it was his half-brother.
Sebastian’s face turns to look at Sam, still remaining stoic.
“Why her?” He whispers, Harvey tearing up at the question. “What did she ever do to deserve this?”
Sam lets out a sob and shakes his head, looking around the room for the answer that doesn’t exist.
“She didn’t deserve this.” Is all he can whisper.
Another two hours pass. The two men are sitting on either side of her bed as she stirs. No words have been said between them.
A groan rumbles in her throat as the blinding light of the hospital room takes over her vision.
Sebastian is holding one hand whilst Sam is holding the other.
“Take it easy.” Sebastian whispers.
When the room finally starts to make more sense, the woman glances over at Sebastian and Sam.
“Hey…” It’s muffled against the oxygen mask covering her face. “Hi, gorgeous.” The dark-haired boy murmurs, forcing a smile despite his painfully obvious tear-stains.
She takes a moment to remember everything that happened but the gasp that escapes her follows a number of beeps from the monitors she’s hooked up to.
“Woah, hey, hey, hey, baby, calm down,” “Woah, (Y/N), it’s okay!”
Sam and Sebastian are both up on their feet trying to calm the now frantic woman down.
“Breathe, baby, breathe.” Sebastian attempts, watching her head drop down and hands jump to her, now, flat belly. “No, no, no, NO, NO, NO!” She’s ripping the mask off of her face, tearing at all the wires in her body, throwing the bedsheets off of her as she gets a better look at her stomach.
Sebastian wraps his arms fully around the woman, cocooning her against him, whilst Sam stumbles back and throws his head back against the wall. His fists are clenched as silent tears pour down his face.
It took the woman months to come to terms with her pregnancy and decide she wanted it, picturing the perfect life with Sebastian and Sam by her side, but it's been ripped away from her.
“WHERE’S MY BABY!? WHERE’S MY BABY!?” She’s screaming, Sebastian sobbing and trying to keep her trapped against his body to stop her flailing about. “(Y/N), doll, shh, it’s okay, it’s okay, breathe for me.”
Harvey comes sprinting into the room and sees the state of the woman who’s just woken.
“SOMEBODY TELL ME WHERE MY BABY IS-” The woman’s screams fade out as Harvey injects her with some sort of drug to knock her out. “I’m sorry, I was upstairs organising some files.” The doctor utters, Sebastian pulling back from the woman so Harvey can fix up her wires.
The two boys don’t respond.
“What do we do, Harvey?” Sam whispers, still leaning against the wall, staring aimlessly at the unconscious woman. “She’s going to take a while to recover but with the right support around her, I think she’ll be fine.”
More silence.
“Can she ever get pregnant again?” Sebastian manages, voice barely above a whisper. “Yes.”
It’s barely enough to relieve either of the men.
“Can she have sex?” The darker-haired boy continues to ask as many questions as possible, wanting to be ready to answer everything the woman may have when she wakes again. “Yes, but I would recommend waiting a couple of weeks before inserting anything into her vagina. Her cervix is open so she’s prone to infection.” Harvey answers all the questions with explicit professionalism. “Is she gonna be in pain?” Sam manages, his eyes flitting to Harvey for a moment before returning to (Y/N). “Some pain in the lower abdomen, similar to menstrual cramp pain, is quite common after a miscarriage,”
Sebastian’s eyes clench shut at the word itself.
“This should only last a couple of days really; if there’s any noticeably bad pain then you can come back to me and I can offer painkillers, but I won’t let her out of here until she feels up to it anyway.”
They both manage a nod.
“Is there anything we can do for her?” “She needs to continue to eat and drink plenty even though she may not feel up to it. Try and stop her doing physical work on the farm, she needs rest.” The boys continue to nod in understanding as Harvey speaks. “She will probably struggle to sleep for a while honestly.”
There’s silence after that as Harvey switches about the wires and tubes in the woman’s body.
“If she wakes up again, press this button and I’ll be right in.” “Thanks, Harvey.”
It’s an hour later when the doctor returns with a knock at the door.
“Sorry to interrupt, gents, but Robin is here and has asked if she can see you, Sebastian?” Harvey states, Sam looking at his friend, curious for the response. “Is she welcome in here?”
Harvey nods.
“Of course.”
A moment later, another knock followed by Robin’s entry. She looks like she’s going to cry when she looks at (Y/N)’s, practically lifeless, body laying on the medical bed.
“Hi…” She whispers, looking at her son with uncertainty.
Sebastian stands up and hugs his mother in that moment.
“Oh, Sebby…”
A sob escapes the boy’s lips.
“She didn’t deserve any of this, mom.”
Robin remains silent for a moment, glancing over at the blond across the room who’s staring at the floor, crying once again.
“What’s gone on, Sebastian?” She whispers, hands stroking the back of her heartbroken son.
The pair pull back and sit down, Sebastian’s eyes returning to the unconscious woman.
“(Y/N) and I have had a ‘friends with benefits’ arrangement for a little while now - discussed dating and stuff but decided we’re not quite ready for it,” The boy begins, Robin holding his hand and stroking it. “I know full well I’ll never love another woman the same way I love her.”
He pauses, trying to find a starting point.
“When you and Demetrius were away on your anniversary trip, I had Abigail, (Y/N) and Sam over to play some video games and shit. Everyone left except (Y/N), but she was packing her stuff as if ready to leave; she normally stays the night. I wrapped my arms around her and asked if she was leaving already but she froze.” He pauses, remembering the exact moment he held the woman he loves in his arms and she froze up like he just made the worst mistake of his life. “Like, really froze. It scared me. I let go. She said she had some farm stuff to take care of and started heading toward the door but I grabbed her wrist - not hard! But she fucking screamed. Stumbled into the wall and stared at me like I just burnt her.”
Robin doesn’t tell the boy off for swearing on this occasion.
“She ran out after that. I was scared shitless. I saw it in her eyes that she was fucking traumatised. She’s never been like that - certainly not with me. She loves physical affection and shit, she would never react like that. Anyway, I sat and thought it over for a while, worried about what the fuck I’d done to make her so fucking scared of me, and realised I hadn’t done anything, and even if I had, she would’ve told me. We’re best friends, she tells me everything…”
Robin is tearing up as she listens to what her son has been through whilst she’s been completely oblivious.
“I decided to deal with it later cause it was late. Next morning I call by Pierre’s to ask Abby for her help, grabbed Sam too, and told them what had happened. Sam immediately suggested that someone’s hurt her, agreeing that it’s not like her to turn down physical affection, especially screaming from a touch. We went to her place - she was still in the same clothes she fell asleep in which worried me too. We asked her if someone had hurt her and she lost it. She broke down in tears as we asked her more and more questions trying to get to the bottom of whatever the fuck had happened.”
Sebastian pauses as he sniffles and wipes the tears from his face.
“She told us she was raped; admitted it was Kent. Said she didn’t wanna tell us because he’s Sam’s dad. She didn’t want Sam to lose the father he’s been waiting years for.”
Robin’s eyes turn to the blond across the room, seeing his eyes clenched shut, fists tight, tears falling.
“Sam didn’t believe her first - I don’t blame him, but I knew (Y/N) would never lie to us, especially about something like this. Sam stormed out and gave Kent a hefty punch or two, I followed - scared Sam might take it too far.”
He fucking deserved it. Those are Sam’s unvoiced thoughts.
“He fucking deserved it though.” Sebastian voices his thoughts anyway. “I went in and Kent was mouthing off some shit about how she was asking for it and shit-talking her, so I lost my fucking cool and gave the guy a good hit.” “Or ten.” Sam quietly remarks, a very brief smirk on his lips. “The asshole deserved it. Anyway, I was stopped because (Y/N) and Abby turned up and I didn’t want her to see that. She passed out after Kent spat out some more utter bullshit. I carried her up to ours since you guys were away - figured she could do with somewhere away from her own house and that fucker’s.”
Robin is crying but lets her son finish.
“I just let her rest for a few days. She didn’t say or do much, we just watched some TV, I read to her, made her food, bla bla, then one day she asked if she could speak to Maru as she realised she could have damage, infections, possible pregnancy, which I hadn’t even fucking thought about.” “You can’t beat yourself up over this, Seb.” Sam manages, sparing a glance at the dark-haired boy.
Sebastian gulps but continues.
“I asked if she was sure and she said yes, so we spoke to Maru who got us in with Harvey that very evening. Found out she was pregnant. We slept on it since she was unsure what she wanted to do. Sam came over the next day to see how (Y/N) was doing - and because Jodi and Kent kicked him out, Jodi losing her shit and saying I was gaslighting them both or some dumb fucking shit,” He takes a deep breath, trying to remain calm. “We eventually agreed to move to the farm, all three of us, and she decided she was going to keep the baby - wanted to try and get something good out of this whole shit show.” “So when did Kent actually…” Robin trails off, not wanting to break her son even more. “End of Spring - like, a fucking week after he came back to Pelican Town.” Her son confirms. “Anyway, I’m sure you’ve heard the drama of what happened in the saloon. (Y/N) decided she missed going out. We were all very aware of Jodi spreading utter bullshit in order to protect to darling husband and whatever, so we’d all been on the down-low for a while. We decided to go to the saloon, Sam and I very ready to protect her from any bullshit thrown her way, but Elliott grabbed our attention as we came in and said she’d been missed. Later in the night, she was chatting to everyone, Elliott raised a toast to congratulate her on her pregnancy, it was really nice to see her smiling again.” “She was glowing.” Sam whispers, Sebastian managing a momentary smile. “Yeah. Anyway, Jodi turns up at like eleven PM, starts shit-talking (Y/N), me, Sam… You probably would’ve smacked her.”
Robin attempts a small chuckle.
“(Y/N) says she’s just gonna leave and doesn’t want to cause any drama, but Jodi obviously wasn’t aware she was pregnant and lost her shit, shoving her back into the bar. She fell down, smacked her body on the stools and her head on the floor. Sam and I were too far away to fucking stop it. Shane stepped in though, pinned the bitch up against the wall and threatened her. (Y/N) was bleeding… a lot. Shane helped Sam and I get her here, but she, uh, the baby didn’t make it.”
Silence.
“And now we’re here.” “What time even is it?” Sam manages. “Just after one PM.” Robin confirms.
The boy nods.
“I’m sorry you felt like you couldn’t talk to me about all this. I can’t even begin to imagine how hard this has been on you. Both of you.”
Sebastian attempts an appreciative smile but it barely lasts a second.
“Come here, Samson.” Robin adds, standing up and opening her arms for the boy. “Robin, thank you, but-” “Come here.” She doesn’t take no for an answer, simply smiling and accepting the embrace. “You’re always welcome into my home.”
He squeezes a little tighter.
“Thank you.” “You and Sebastian have always been like brothers anyway.”
He pulls back and smiles
“He drives me crazy like a brother.”
She manages a chuckle.
“He drives me crazy like a son.” “I’m right here.” It’s a sarcastic remark from the dark-haired boy. “Has she woken up yet?” The carpenter asks, taking a seat back beside her son. “Yeah, but she realised her bump was gone and lost her mind; Harvey had to inject her with some anaesthetic or something to knock her back out.” “Oh, bless her.”
Some time passes and Robin says she’ll head off, not wanting to intrude when the woman wakes up once more. What she doesn’t tell either of the men is that she’s going to add some renovations to the woman’s farm, free of charge, to help accommodate all three of them, and a baby in future if she wishes to try again.
Sam stands up and walks over to sit beside his best friend, taking his hand.
“I’m sorry, Seb.” “Do you think she’ll be okay?” Sebastian whispers, not taking his eyes off of the girl.
The blond pauses, contemplating his answer.
“We’ll make sure she is.”
Another forty-five minutes pass before the woman begins to stir, Sebastian immediately noticing the way her eyelids twitch. He presses the emergency button to contact Harvey straight away, praying that they can keep her calm enough to stay awake this time round.
The running footsteps resound in the small medical room the three of them are occupying, Harvey unlocking the door with worried eyes.
“She’s twitching a little - stirring - I think she’s gonna wake up; I figured I’d get you here first.” Sebastian briefs, the doctor nodding and checking over her machines and stats once again.
The woman groans, feeling exhausted, which is bizarre given that she’s waking up. Her body feels like it’s got the weight of Lewis’ truck resting on it.
What the hell?
“(Y/N), can you hear me?”
Is that… Harvey’s voice?
“If you can hear me, love, can you try and give me a sign? Wiggle your fingers or toes?”
Why the hell wouldn’t she be able to hear him? He sounds like he’s right beside her.
Nonetheless, she complies and attempts to move her digits.
“Perfect. Okay, (Y/N), I’m going to tell you a few things but I need you to remain calm, okay? Despite everything I’m reminding you of, you’re one-hundred percent safe right here right now.”
She’s clearly in the hospital.
Another mining accident? She usually can hear Marlon nagging in her ear by now though about how reckless she is.
“You’re in the hospital due to getting hurt when in the saloon. You were pushed and fell to the floor. Do you remember?”
Who in the hell of Stardew Valley would push her?
“(Y/N)...”
Sebastian?
“Can you hear me, doll?”
Attempted finger movements.
She also tries to turn her head toward her best friend’s voice but her eyes aren’t assisting just yet.
“Hey, pretty girl,” She fails to see the soft smile on Sebastian’s face, perfectly paired up with the tears staining his cheeks. “You remember Sam’s family?”
Vincent?
Jodi?
Oh, fuck-
Jodi.
Kent.
Another gasp and she feels multiple hands on her body as if pinning her down.
“Breathe, doll, it’s okay.” “(Y/N), remember that you’re safe.” Harvey inputs. “Don’t panic, you’re okay, I promise.”
The pet name ‘baby’ is on the tip of Sebastian’s tongue, but there’s a time and a place for that…
“Just focus on staying calm, doll, or else we can’t help you.”
She was pregnant.
The saloon.
Elliott.
Jodi was pissed.
Jodi didn’t know she was pregnant - how!?
She was pushed.
The blood.
Bleeding.
Her baby…
“Try and stay calm, (Y/N).” Harvey’s voice interrupts her thoughts once more; it’s then that she realises how obnoxiously loud the beeping of her heart monitor is as it gets faster.
With struggling efforts, the woman manages to move one of her hands across her body to her flat stomach.
She lost the baby.
There’s no way she had the baby - she had two months left.
Is that possible?
Perhaps this was the way it was meant to be.
With strain, she manages to open her eyes, the blinding hospital lights barely hurting in comparison to the loss of her baby.
“Welcome back, (Y/N).” The doctor greets, but she hasn’t even looked at any of the men in the room yet. “Just to make you aware, I’m in the room along with Sebastian and Sam.”
Sam…
“Hey, (Y/N).” The blond comments.
She doesn’t respond.
Eventually, she manages to turn her head and acknowledge the doctor beside her. He offers a reassuring smile and waits patiently for her to feel comfortable.
She then rolls her head around and sees the two boys standing side by side, both crying and looking like they haven’t slept in days. Or showered. Or eaten.
With slow, mechanical movements, the farmer reaches up and slowly slides down the oxygen mask covering her mouth. She licks her lips and moistens her mouth, feeling just how dry her throat is.
“You two look like shit.”
Sam can’t help the laugh that erupts from his throat, mixed with a sob or two. Sebastian simply smiles and shakes his head.
“Missed you too, gorgeous.” The latter mutters. “You’re not lookin’ too hot yourself, farmer.” Sam adds, jokingly.
She attempts a smile before turning to look back at Harvey.
“How long have I been out?” “Eighteen hours-ish.” The doctor confirms. “You woke up about ten hours ago but weren’t doing so good.”
She nods.
“I lost the baby?”
The anguish on Harvey’s face is enough to know.
“I’m really sorry, (Y/N). I tried everything I could.”
She simply smiles and nods before turning to look at the two boys on the other side of her.
“Are you mad?”
The men's faces contort into confusion and shock.
“Mad? Why on Earth would we be mad? Of course we’re not mad, doll, we’re just glad you’re okay.” Sebastian assures the woman, resting a hand on her matted hair. “(Y/N), I’m just glad you’re alive and breathing.” Sam adds.
Harvey answers every question the woman has, brings her some food and drink, and leaves the trio to chat amongst themselves.
“I love you both very much.” “We love you very much, pretty girl.” Sebastian smiles. “My mom came by earlier, by the way - I told her everything.”
(Y/N) nods.
“Does she hate me?” “Of course she doesn’t hate you, (Y/N).”
Silence.
“I want to go home.” “We can go home whenever Harvey says so.” “Will you both stay with me?” “(Y/N),” “Doll,”
Sam and Sebastian begin at the same time, (Y/N) giggling at their synchronisation.
“I think I can speak for Sebastian as well as myself when I say we don’t plan on leaving your side for the rest of our lives.”
It was at that moment that (Y/N) looked at Sam in the same light she looks at Sebastian in.
Love.
Adoration.
Romantic?
But three’s a crowd.
Right?
Sebastian sees the conflict in the woman’s eyes and it makes him grin.
“We’ll figure it out, pretty girl.” The emo boy comments, flashing a wink as she realises he can read her like a picture book. “I love you both.” “We love you too, farmer.”

This is my first time writing something like this so please bear with me on any minor grammatical errors. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. <3 Chapter 1 - Raindrops
As you sit on the bus with a long ride ahead, you can't help but feel a sense of loneliness. All the things you are leaving behind in the big city, it was your hometown after all, the place you grew up, the place you knew best in the world. Since your mom passed away last year, things have been pretty quiet for you, you lost some of your light when she left you. You stopped partying and going out every weekend, you started to calm down and appreciate the people and things that mattered most to you. To think you'd be leaving so many things behind to start a brand-new life doing something you had not considered since you were a young child visiting your grandpa. However, despite that feeling of loneliness, you also felt like this would be an adventure worth fulfilling. This land you inherited was both precious to your mom and your grandfather, you could not go on every day having thrown it all away for selfish reasons. You know in your heart this is where you should be right now in your life, even if it is a hard decision to move away from your comforts.
The bus keeps moving on, slowly you see less and less houses and more and more trees. The bumpy roads are somewhat calming and you take a few deep breaths and remind yourself of the good times you had in the valley with your mom and grandfather. You feel content and a little tired as the bus shakes around. You close your eyes and relax as you know there are still a few hours before you will arrive.
...
You awaken to the sound of the bus brakes squealing to a stop. "Am I here?" you think to yourself.
"This is your stop, young lady" the bus driver announces. You get up and grab your multiple suitcases that are way overpacked. I mean you are moving your entire life to a new place what do they expect? As you unload your bags, you think about all the things you couldn't bring with you that you ended up selling. "Hopefully I will be able to get some new stuff once I save up some more cash" you think to yourself.
______________
You step off the bus and see a 40ish year old ginger-haired women, she is quite pretty but seems to be wearing work clothes that are a bit dirty.
"Hi! You must be (Y/N)!" she exclaims "I'm Robin, I guess you could consider us neighbours! I live a short walk down the road with my family, I'm also the local carpenter, hence my clothes" she says giving a slight laugh.
"Hello, yes I am (Y/N), very nice to meet you Robin" I say in almost a whisper.
"You must be tired after your trip, let me show you the path to the farm in case you forgot the way! I know it's been many years since your last visit to the valley!
...
"Now don't be too alarmed the land itself is very overgrown and has seen better days that's for sure! But that is why you're here after all! To give it the love it needs to be a beautiful farm once again! And just so you know I am here to help you out, so come see me anytime" "Thank you, Robin" you say as you walk up to your new home. A small cabin, it looks in somewhat decent shape, despite it clearly needing some serious updates. Robin starts to head out and gives you a smile and a wave, almost bumping into an older gentleman.
"You aren't giving our newcomer trouble, are you Robin?" He chuckles as she storms by. "I'm Lewis, nice to meet you (Y/N). I'm the town mayor here in Pelican Town and I wanted to stop by with a little "starter pack" for you that a few of us chipped in on." You open it up to see some seeds and a few pre-packed meals and snacks and some worn out tools. "Thank you so much!" You exclaim with a sweet smile. They both seem so kind you thought yourself. "I won't keep you as you have certainly had a long trip, come by and have a chat with me once you're settled in." He says as he walks off. ______________
You open the door and let out a big sigh. "I made it" you say to yourself. You look around your small cabin. It's not much but you're going to do everything to make it your own.
You quickly get tucked into bed and fall asleep almost instantly. "I wonder what tomorrow will bring, I hope everyone is as nice as Robin and Lewis" you think to yourself as your eyes shut.
______________
Your alarm sounds, waking you from a deep sleep. You wake up slightly confused about where you are, it takes you a couple of seconds to remember everything that happened. It almost felt like the entire trip here was a dream.
You crawl out of bed, and eat some breakfast. "What should I do today" you wonder. "I should probably go greet everyone and start clearing my yard," you sigh.
You grab your t-shirt overalls and boots and head out to your yard. Using the old tools the townsfolk so kindly gifted you, you begin swinging your scythe at the overgrown weeds. It takes you about three hours to finally clear out the weeds, sticks, and rocks leaving a nice open spot of your seeds. You look in your bag. "Heuh, turnip seeds? Not my favourite to be honest but maybe they're in season or something?" you think to yourself as you begin tilling the soil.
...
"All done! Look how adorable you all are, my little turnips, you better grow big and strong and make me some cash!" You laugh awkwardly at your embarrassing comment. "Yep, this is why I have no friends," you think to yourself.
Looking at the time, it's just after lunch and you've certainly earned a break. You quickly change your dirty clothes into a cute jeans and crop top combo that way you don't totally scare off all the townsfolk on the first day. You grab one of the pre-packed meals and head into town. You find a bench right near the town centre and decide to sit down and eat. The spring breeze catches your long hair as it now falls out of the braid you had made this morning. The air here in the valley was so fresh and clean that it actually felt different just to breathe. It was so freeing. For the first time since you were a kid, you didn't feel the stress and pressure of work or your social life. You had forgotten what it felt like to be peaceful. As you look around at the town centre some vague memories of visiting as a small child begin to return to you.
...
"Um hey" a kind voice breaks you from your daydreaming. You look up and see a tall blonde-haired boy who's probably close to your age. "Are you new here or just passing through?" he says staring at you with his big blue eyes. " Oh hi, um, I'm new here I just moved to the big farm right outside of town, my name is (Y/N)." You say in a shy voice. "Oh that's great!" He says with a big smile. "I'm Sam, nice to meet you (Y/N). I live here with my parents and my little brother Vincent, well right now it's just my mom and brother my dad's away...for a bit" he stutters. " Anyway, you should stop by the saloon tonight almost everyone comes by it would be a great way to meet everyone!" He smiles waiting for your answer. You look at him nervously not wanting to seem too eager as you have had trouble making friends in the past. "I mean no pressure if you are still settling in!" he says reassuringly. "I...would like that," you say as you smile back at him. "Great! We usually get there around 530 and stay a couple hours. I gotta go to Joja Mart to pick something up for my mom right now but I will catch ya later (Y/N)." You smile and wave to him as he walks off.
________________________
Sam's POV
"No fuckinggg wayy" he thinks to himself as he walks towards Joja mart. "What are the chances the cutest girl ever decides to leave the big city and move to this small ass town. This town just went up in standards." He laughed to himself as he walked with a huge stupid grin on his face. On the walk, he passes by the town sports boy Alex. He sees Sam with a stupid grin on his face and starts walking up to him. "What are you smiling at you weirdo?" Alex asks. "Duude have you seen the new girl in town?" he says as he stares him down holding both his shoulders as if this were the biggest news ever. "What new girl? You got some imaginary girlfriend now?" he replies in disbelief. "Naw man, you heard how that old farm was getting a new owner? Well, it's not some old retired couple looking for the quiet life... it's a 20 something year old beauty with long hair, sparkling eyes, and a perfect smile. I seriously could barely keep it together introducing myself. She seems kinda shy though but I at least convinced her to swing by the saloon tonight." he says still grinning like a loser. "Wait are you for real? That's actually so fucking lucky, Ill have to meet her... I bet Haley is gonna lose her mind if she sees me talking to any other girl though...she thinks I don't notice her watching me workout every day but shes way too obvious." he says sounding unsure of what to do. "I mean...who knows maybe they will become friends and get along? Don't worry so much it's not like you two are dating seriously. I gotta go tho Alex at least say hi to her!" Sam continues on his way to Joja thinking about how tonight at the saloon will go.
"She seems shy, hopefully, she likes Abby and Seb. I mean it's impossible for her and Abby not to get along, Abby is so down for new friends. Seb however, fuck, he's gonna be pissed I bet, I wonder if I should text him first. Ugh if I tell him he might ditch instead though." Sam groans to himself.
______________
Farmer's POV
You sigh as you look at the time 5:37 PM. "Should I really go to that little town bar place Sam mentioned? What if everyone thinks I'm weird cause I'm a city girl? He was really nice though and I can't spend my entire time here not speaking to anyone. I guess he was actually pretty cute too... ugh FINE. I'll go... and just say hi because I said I would." You think to yourself. You fix up your hair, and makeup and switch to a tight black top and baggy jeans and head out.
DripDripDrip
"You gotta be kidding" you say out loud as it starts to rain on your walk into town. The breeze is cooler now that the sun has gone down, even though it's spring you can still feel the chill in the air as the wind blows through your soft nicely brushed hair. "I hope I get there before I'm soaked and my makeup is ruined." you think to yourself as you pick up the pace.
As you arrive you scan the room for any familiar faces and notice Robins's lovely red hair. She smiles as she notices you walk in. "Hey (Y/N), so nice of you to stop by, this is my husband Demetrius." She smiles as she pulls him closer. "Hi nice to meet you (Y/N), Robin was telling me all about you make sure you don't overwork yourself! Our daughter Maru is actually really looking forward to meeting you she couldn't come this evening as she works early at the clinic tomorrow but please stop by our place on the Mountain and I will introduce you! She is several years younger but she is very mature for her age." he says with a proud smile. "That would be great" I reply. "Were you looking for someone (Y/N)?" Robin says as she remembers your eyes searching the room when you first entered. "Um... well I met a boy named Sam today and he said to come here tonight so I could meet some friends our age." "Oh that's wonderful, Sam and the gang are usually in the pool room over there. Actually, my son Sebby...I mean Sebastian is there as well. He is pretty shy and might come off a bit standoffish but I promise you he's a good boy with a kind heart." She smiles motioning for you to go over. You smile back at both of them but notice Demetrius had left the conversation and went back to the bar when Robin brought up Sebastian..."strange" you thought to yourself.
You take a deep breath as you peek around the corner. You see Sam right away, he's laughing as he holds his pool stick. "Thank god he's actually here," you think to yourself. You continue to scan the pool room and notice some interesting decor, vintage arcade games, a Joja cola machine and some comfy couches. "Oh, who's that." you think as you notice a girl with lovely violet hair sitting on the couch. She seems very focused on the game...or is she just staring... as you follow her gaze you see a pale, dark-haired boy with gorgeous grey-blue eyes he's tall and slender and dressed in all black. "Ah, I see what she's looking at." You giggle to yourself out loud. Your giggle catches Sam's attention and he looks over with a massive grin on his face. "(Y/N)!" he exclaims. "Glad you actually came, come on over and have a drink with us!" He gestures to you to come over to the pool table and pours you a beer from the pitcher. "Over on the couch is Abby" She looks up from her Nintendo Switch and smiles at you. "Nice to meet you, Abby, I love your hair colour it's so pretty," you say softly. "Aw thank you!" she replies. You look back over at the boys and notice some tension. The dark-haired boy is glaring at Sam with some serious fire in his eyes. But it seems like Sam knew he would NOT be down for this little "new friend" meet-up. "Oh and this is Seb, he's not much of a talker I wouldn't waste your time on him but he's alright sometimes" Sam teases. Sebastian nods his head in disapproval and gives you a slight smirk with zero eye contact, immediately focusing back to the game.
"So that's Robin's son Sebastian she mentioned him earlier...he's actually... very handsome under that mop of luscious dark hair. His skin is so pale and his eyes although they look dark are a cool shade of blue, they glisten so nicely under the pool table light, you almost feel like your feet are sinking as you stare for a bit too long. "Ah makes sense now, he's certainly not Demetrius's son. From the way he acted I'm guessing there is some Step-Father x Step-Son tension going on... rough." you think to yourself.
You decide to go sit next to Abby as not to interrupt them mid-game. Just by the way she was staring at Sebastian, you can tell she's totally into him. "Makes sense they seem to have similar styles and they are clearly very close." You think to yourself.
"Let's go get a better drink, you don't have to drink that shit," she says as she takes the beer from my hand. You quickly walk up to the bar together and she orders some weird colourful drinks for the both of you. As you walk back to the sofa she starts up a conversation. So far she seems pretty cool you think to yourself her style is something else though, as you notice her massive knee-high black boots. "So what's it like in the big city? Are you gonna miss it?" Abby exclaims. "I will a bit, yes, but honestly it's really crowded, loud, and everyone is always in a rush. Don't get me wrong I will always want to go visit but it is chaotic." You say with a giggle. "Honestly I couldn't imagine that I have lived here my entire life and probably will, but the city seems so cool to a small-town girl like me. If I ever do go I will be sure to bring you as my tour guide." She smiles trying to imply she hopes to be friends.
"What kind of game are you playing." You ask as you point to her switch. "You like video games?" She says excitedly. "Hell ya, I actually worked for a company that designs them back when I was studying," you say. "No way that's so awesome I am so totally jealous, you must be so fucking smart," she exclaimed. "I mean I actually only designed the artwork for the video games I didn't really do the actual techy stuff." You continue to explain your past jobs and what your interests are and continue chatting with Abby for a while having several drinks that were wayyy too fucking strong for a lightweight like you.
As you sit on the sofas across the room from the boys you keep feeling eyes on you but you are too nervous to look up.

Seb's POV
"Wait who is that? What is going on right now." he thinks to himself as Sam starts smiling and welcoming some random girl as if he invited her. "No he fucking didn't. God why is he like this? Our friend group is perfect it's been this way for years and we don't need anyone else." he groans to himself not even looking at you twice, feeling already out of his comfort zone. His eyes focus on Sam and only on Sam. He can't just blurt out "Why the fuck is she here" so he will have to settle for the death glare.
"What the fuck did he just say? As he continues to glare at Sam "Whatever he's being so annoying and awkward I am so getting him back for this." he shrugs it off and decides to just focus on the game.
...
"3 more shots and Sam loses 4 games in a row," he thinks to himself.
Gigglegigglegiggle
The sound of the new girl's laughter catches his attention and he finally looks up from the table at this unwanted guest... His pupils widen and he takes a step back feeling his face get flushed. He can't seem to take his eyes off her. "Holy shit," he thinks to himself. "She's actually beautiful. Not good, not fucking good. There is no way on this fucking planet she's allowed in our friend group, no fucking way I can't talk to her, fuck me I can barely talk to ugly girls and he expects me to keep it together with her in our group. Ugh fuck she probably thinks I'm so rude and weird for not introducing myself... fuck why can't I just say hi like a normal human." He starts to panic as his eyes are glued to you looking you up and down clearly checking you out hard. "Her body is so sexy what the fuck, long legs, long hair and huge sparkling eyes. I am such a sucker for big eyes...Stop staring you weirdo stop it right now." Finally looking away at the sound of Sam's voice. "It's your shot dude... you alright you look pale, too much beer?." Sam smirks. "Fuck off Sam, I just need a smoke break, let's end this here tonight unless you want to lose 4 outta 4." He scoffs. "You're such a buzzkill dude...fine let's end it here."
_____________
Farmer's POV
"Hey Abbs, (Y/N) we're heading out now." Sam exclaims. As you look over you see Sebastian already over next to Robin and he quickly walks out the door. "Don't get caught in the rain." Sam says to you as he leaves with Abby and waves.
You pack up your bag and start to head out. "Holy fuck did I really have that much to drink," you think to yourself as your head is a spinning mess walking out the door. The rain hits your skin, it's much colder now and you really regret wearing your cute top instead of a warmer one. You stumble along the path through town... "what's that weird feeling... it feels like someone is staring at me again."You turn around quickly and the fast movement gives you a headrush from all the alcohol. You stumble to the ground and are completely soaked in a puddle. "Fuck me" You say to yourself.
Seb's POV
He takes 10 steps out of the saloon and stands under the shelter from the roof of Abby's family store to light his cigarette. He leans up against the bulletin board just needing a moment to himself before he walks up the mountain in the rain back to his house. Honestly, he'd rather wait for his mom and Demetrius to head back and go to bed so he doesn't have to interact with them again tonight.
He sees you walking past clearly a little wobbly from all the drinks Abby was pressuring you to have. "Ugh Abby, just cause you can handle your alcohol doesn't mean most girls can drink like that," he thinks to himself feeling kinda bad you are clearly struggling. "She's really gonna walk home in that tiny shirt in this rain." he thinks as he rolls his eyes.
StumbleStumble
"Fuck me" he heard you splurt out. He laughs under his breath at your rage and your drunkenness...
"I guess I can't just leave her there," so he walks up to you.
Farmer's POV
As you sit in the cold wet puddle the only light coming from Pierre's shop blinds you as you are surrounded by pitch darkness on all other sides. Suddenly the light gets blocked and you look up to see someone... "are they trying to help me up." you wonder to yourself. "You need some help," a familiar voice says (not that he's actually spoken to you until now.) "C'mon," he says as he lifts you out of the puddle. "You must be freezing" he says noticing how cold your hands are. "It's okay I'm fucking stupid for not bringing a jacket," you mumble. "Nonsense" he says as he puts his jacket over your shoulders and props you up grabbing your waist. "Thank you, Sebastian," you say sincerely as he escorts you back to your cabin. He smiles at you genuinely and you can't help but feel butterflies in your stomach. "It's been so long since anyone has held me this closely, especially a boy." your face gets flushed as you think this to yourself. "Ah stop it (Y/N) he's just helping you it's not like he likes you. He literally just met you and blatantly ignored you all night on purpose and clearly has no interest at all stop being so horny." you giggle at your own embarrassing thoughts.
You arrive at your doorstep. Sebastian is looking around despite it being dark. He seems interested like he's never even been here before. "Thanks, Sebastian, you really didn't have to walk me all the way here, I owe you for helping a stranger," you say hoping he doesn't see you blushing. "No it was my choice to help you (Y/N), you don't owe me anything... You really did a lot of cleaning for only being here a day," he mentions trying to change the subject. "I guess I did, you should stop by when it's daylight and I'll show you around properly," you smile. "Sure I guess that would be fine, have a good night (Y/N)." He runs off the porch back into the rain before you can give him back his sweater. "That was really surprising, hopefully, Abby won't be mad at him for helping another girl?" You think as it is still unclear if they're together or not...
You walk inside, shut the door and flop on your bed, too tired to even take my clothes... or shoes off.
To be continued... I hope I can update you soon! <3
TYSM for reading. YES SLOW BURN. There will be some hot scenes in the future stay tuned.

Shane's High Score
Fix it fic for Shane's 14 heart event! You shouldn't have to stalk your husband!
“You should talk to him.”
Peony blinked. And blinked again. Her hands tightened around the teacup in her hands, the drink still warm. “Excuse me?”
Marnie fidgeted in her chair but maintained eye contact. Her tea sat untouched on the table. They didn’t even get to the normal pleasantries, like ‘how is it going’ or ‘lovely day outside’. No, Marnie continued straight on to, “I know it may be hard to hear, but it seems like Shane is drinking at the saloon again.”
Peony fixed a polite smile onto her face. “Shane has been playing Journey of the Prairie King in the arcade. Abigail beat his score last week.”
“Is he though?” Marnie’s hands fluttered about as she spoke, waving away any arguments like flies.. “Have you gone with him?”
The tea was honestly nice. Chamomile, from Caroline. Peony wondered how her morning was going. The silence hung heavy in the air as Peony finished her cup. “Marnie.”
Marnie stilled. “Yes?”
“Have you talked to Shane?”
“Not yet, but-”
“Have you seen him inside the bar?”
Marnie straightened as she regained some ground. “Yes. He’s there a lot longer than I am. Gus says he’s there until closing time!”
Peony’s eyes crinkled. “Where is he in the bar, Marnie?”
Marnie shook her head. “In the arcade, but with temptation so close, do you really think he’s just staying in the arcade all night? Even if it is just video games, it can’t be good for him to-”
The teacup clinked loudly against the platter. The polite smile was gone. Marnie’s eyes were wide. Peony said in a low voice, “Marnie. I trust Shane. Why don’t you?”
A moment of silence. Marnie opened her mouth, then closed it again. After it was clear she wouldn’t answer, Peony reached across the table and took her cold tea. “Thank you for coming over, Marnie. I’ll see you in the shop sometime.”
As she took the dishes into the kitchen, Peony heard the quiet click of the front door, and she let out all the air she had been holding in. She pinched her fingers to the bridge of her nose and counted to ten. The day had been going so well up until this point, but at least in the late afternoon she didn’t have to worry about doing her chores angry.
The small cuckoo clock ticked away to the next hour. It was a wedding present from Robin. At five o’clock, the little chicken inside popped out and clucked five times. It was a small thing, but it was enough to break a few of the storm clouds above Peony’s head. She shrugged on a light pink jacket and headed outside.
Pelican Town was gorgeous in the fall. The colors took her breath away during her first year, the buttery gold yellow leaves almost too bright compared to the dull grays and brown of the city. Jas had shown her where to find the prettiest purple trees in the forest, and the look on Shane’s face was so openly fond when they came back with arms full of leaves. The clouds above Peony’s head broke completely, and she shook her head with a laugh.
The saloon was only half full today. Peony waved to Gus, who was doing a pretty good job pretending to be busy. “Another bustling Monday?”
Gus chuckled. “As full as ever. Got any mayo for me today?”
Peony shoved her hands in her empty pockets. “Ah, it seems I forgot. Maybe a free coffee would jog my memory for tomorrow?”
Gus shook his head. “Shameless. I’m being extorted in my own bar.”
Peony jerked a thumb towards the arcade. “Same as usual?”
Gus nodded. “He got close a couple times, but I don’t think it’ll happen tonight. Make sure he leaves at a decent time, will you? I’m hoping to close up a little early to catch The Bake Off tonight.”
Peony gave him a two-finger salute and slipped into the hall. The sounds of The Prairie King drifted into the room, and it sounded like her husband was making some good progress. In the dimly lit room, the neon sign cast bright purple highlights on Shane’s tousled hair and focused expression. His practiced hands tapped away diligently as waves of enemies swarmed the little cowboy avatar. Peony hovered a couple feet away and watched over his shoulder.
“The little spike guys are piling up,” Peony chimed.
Shane hummed. “It’s fine, the time's almost up.”
There was still quite a bit of time left, but Shane’s eyes were fever-bright with anticipation as more of the men swarmed him. Peony leaned against the cabinet. “If only you had some sweet power ups to get you out of the corner,” she said.
Shane shook his head, a few strands of hair falling in his eyes. “Nah, it’s fine. I need that power up later.”
Later would not be coming as they both watched one of the spiked enemies pop down a trap right in front of his character. Shane groaned as the little cowboy blipped out of existence and the score screen flashed, Abigail’s high numbers dominating the top of the list. “Damn it, I was so close!”
Peony didn’t think he was too disappointed. His smile was too wide, too contagious. “You think there’s any cheats out there for old-school arcade machines?”
Shane huffed and wiped his sweaty hands on his pants. “There are, but Abigail isn’t using them. I’m gonna beat her fair and square.”
Peony pulled a quarter out of her pocket. “Mind if I join in?”
Shane’s bright eyes met hers with so much warmth it almost knocked Peony over. His smile was absolutely giddy. “Sure thing, player two.”
The quarters clunked heavily in the machine, and their little cowboys ran around each other briefly before setting to work. There was a moment of nothing except for the sound of pixel bullets before Shane spoke again. “Did something happen today? Normally you’d be slapping together pumpkin recipes this late.”
Peony rushed in to take care of the spiked enemies while Shane gathered power ups. “Marnie swung by today to chat.”
The enemies gathered around on all sides to corner them. A coffee power up blinked in close by, and Shane made a grab for it to squeeze out of a tight space. “That sounds nice. What did she say?”
A soldier popped in right by Peony’s little cowboy. She had gotten a little too close to the wall. “She thought you were drinking again.”
Shane stilled for a moment, his fingers pressed down on a button but not releasing it. His cowboy shot aimlessly for a moment before he gathered himself again. “But I’m not.”
Peony nodded, covering for him while he scooped up some coins. “No. You’re not.”
The level cleared, and the shopkeep drifted in with their wares. Shane’s hand gripped the joystick and hovered on the side of the cabinet. His eyebrows creased, and all Peony wanted was to smooth it away. “But what if one day I did? Just, caved in and drank and sat in the corner of the saloon again?”
His eyes wouldn’t meet hers. His shoulders hunched. Peony covered his hand with hers. They were both sweaty, but neither of them minded at that moment. “Then you would come home. I would ask if you were okay. We would take a shower, or watch that sci-fi comedy where neither of us have to think too much. The next day, we would call the therapist and make an appointment.” Peony slipped her fingers between his, and Shane gripped them back. “We can sit and be sad together. We can get back up and play games together and struggle to name the newest chicken together. Whatever happens, we’re gonna get through it together.”
Shane didn’t say anything, but a soft smile now graced his face. He looked at her with all the love he had in his eyes, and Peony knew hers looked the same. Then he looked at their score, and huffed. “We can’t beat Abby’s score together though.”
“Oh God no, Abby’s an absolute menace.”

Tumblr media
Post Type: SFW, Fluff, Platonic/Romantic x Reader, Mentions of Family in Haley, Maru, and Emily.
Characters: Haley, Penny, Maru, Leah, Emily, and Abigail.
GN Reader (You/Yours) - slight baker!reader.
Here's the second installment of my baking headcannons for the romance-ables! This time with the lovely bacherlorettes. Assumes a baker!reader, but you can also just read these as general headcanons. Enjoy!
'SDV: Bachelor Baking HCs <3' can be found here.

Haley:
Arguably the best at baking out of all the bachelors and bachelorettes. Not only is she a canon baker, mentioning it a few times most notably in her fourteen heart event and post marriage dialogue, but her background fits quite well into it too!
I imagine she’s been baking since she was little, but really grew into it after her parent’s left to travel the world. Owns an apron and an huge inventory of baking utensils, dry ingredients, and cookbooks.
Not only did she teach Emily how to bake, but she will also write down an alternative recipe for everything she bakes - specifically to give to Emily.
These alternatives will include detailed steps for the recipe itself, but also for any substitutions (raw diet, gluten free, sweeteners, etc) that can be made. She decorates them with stickers and keeps them in a little folder for her sister.
Also gifts a lot of her baking to other villagers! Usually the default baker for anyone wanting a home-made birthday cake. She’s quite proud of this :)
Gets so excited if you ask to bake with her, may even invite you first! She’s very confident of her skills, and shows it in her work - she’s meticulous, down to the very last detail, balancing the flavours and placing the decorations perfectly.
She spends a lot of time on prep work with you too! When you go grocery shopping together, prepare to spend a lot of time browsing ingredients - she’ll inspect the fresh groceries closely, and only be satisfied with certain brands for everything else required.
If she has a crush on you, she’ll start making requests for the fresh produce she needs on the community bulletin board, especially the things she knows you’re growing that season, and when you come to deliver it, she’ll invite you inside to come help <3.
Absolutely elated if you gift her any of your baked goodies.
If you get together, consider yourself set for life on the baking front. Somehow, she always manages to have something freshly made. Will work hard to memorise your favourites off by heart, and will work towards preserving her recipes for anyone dear to her heart.
Canonically her favourite cake is pink cake, but I reckon she also just likes most fruity cakes.
Overall Baking Skill: 5/5. The self proclaimed (but deserved), "Queen of The Bake Sale".
Tumblr media
Penny:
Pelican Town’s best kept secret by far is the semi-unfortunate reality of this girl’s cooking and baking. She know’s she’s not good with it, but she just loves both so much, and you can see how eager she is about it, so everyone’s super encouraging. It’s very sweet, actually.
Sam is one of only people in town who actually doesn’t understand why everyone makes such a big deal out of it anyways. Truthfully, her baking isn’t that bad, I mean, she makes mistakes often, and things usually end up a bit burnt - but you can always eat around stuff. Elliot’s baking is the real enemy here.
She borrows a lot of cookbooks from the museum and will study them relentlessly. One time she accidently returned one with all her sticky notes still attached, but she’s one of the only villagers who borrows them anyways - so Gunther ended up suggesting she just leave them in from now on. Maru likes reading her notes in the books from time to time.
Likes a big range of baked goods and flavours, but especially likes eating whatever Leah and Harvey makes. Doesn't ask for anything from them often though.
If you like baking, she might ask you for help to make sure nothing goes wrong. You’ll figure out quickly that’s she’s actually got a lot of good ideas, and has most of the theory down pat - she’s just a bit unconfident about her skills, and has trouble executing her ideas into reality. Give her a push and some gentle encouragement, and you may end up making something really good together :)
If she has a crush on you, she’ll start recommending you her favourite cookbooks and asking about stuff you like so she can direct you to her favourite same or similar recipes for it. She’ll also ask you for help more often.
If possible, she hopes that she’ll be able to make something together with you that she can offer to Jas and Vincent (and later, Leo) as treat for studying so hard <3
If you do get into a relationship, she’ll keep at it, and may actually see herself improve slightly. She might deflect and start out by saying that she owes it to your help, but truthfully it’s entirely her own hard work, effort, and perserverance.
Overall Baking Skill: 2/5 Determination pays off!
Tumblr media
Maru:
Love, love, LOVES anything tangy, zesty, or citrusy. Doesn’t bake though, and doesn’t know how to either, but not because she doesn’t want to - just because she never really has had the chance to. She’s got a lot going on, with working at the clinic, helping her father out, and with any personal robotics projects she has.
Demetrius is also a bit wary of anything that could supposedly “get in the way of her bright future”, so if there ever was a time she was interested in learning how to bake, it likely would not have received any of the interest she might have liked to receive :,(
If she ever has a craving, she’ll go to Haley instead of her friend Penny. Because whilst Penny has been known to cook and bake, she’s honestly just a bit bad at it. Maru would never tell her that though.
Would love to join you in your baking endeavours! As it turns out, like her brother Sebastian, she actually has a little bit of an affinity for it given the right direction.
If she has a crush on you, you’ll probably see an influx of letters in the mail from her describing the newest baked goods she’s tried or heard about, or she'll straight up just send you recipes.
She’d also probably memorise your favourites, and find herself subconsciously looking for them whenever she goes shopping for herself <3
If you get into a relationship together, and especially when you move in together, I could see her indulging in baking as a pastime more.
She tries not to make a big deal out of it, but she’s actually very concerned with your strenous lifestyle, and will often pack you small lunches with a slice of whatever she’s baked recently to ensure you’re keeping fed and hydrated during your long days on the farm.
Canonically loves rhubarb pie and strawberry. Would probably fall in love with you again if you ever combined them lol.
Overall Baking Skill: 3/5! Baked good enthusiast.
Tumblr media
Leah:
Honestly not really a big fan of baking, or even eating it for that matter, and she especially dislikes the super sweet stuff. If she does bake, she tends to prefer stuff with a floral essence, like poppyseed, lavender, or even rose!
Buys her ingredients as locally as possible, and has a few plots to herself in the community garden. If she can, she’ll forage.
Learnt extremely quickly not to bake with Elliot (RIP Leah)
If she has a crush on you, and on the rare occasion that she does bake, you’ll have first dibs.
She’s pretty similar to Haley in that she’ll want your farm's fresh produce to work with as well, though she’ll skip the bulletin board and go straight to you instead :)
If you get together, baking together might still be a bit of a non-event, but she’ll go above and beyond in making sure that you have everything you could need, providing you with some of her community garden harvests and forage <3
Overall Baking Skill: 2.5/5. Environmentally conscious!
Tumblr media
Emily:
Sweet tooth - but has a few dietary needs and preferences! Living in a small town, the things she often craves often don’t come with alternative or substituted ingredients, so most of the time she’ll have to make them herself, or ask her sister.
Since Haley’s a picky eater, Emily took up most of the cooking in the house. Unfortunately, it’s a real struggle sometimes finding meals that both of them will eat, and she’ll often have to resort to cooking two of the same thing, making them both personalised to eachother’s pallate.
Haley knows this, and while she really doesn’t like cooking meals that much, she does genuinelly want to bridge the gap in her own special way; it’s why Haley taught her how to bake!
Emily certainly isn’t as good as her sister at baking, but she’s still incredibly talented - learning the basics incredibly quickly and having a real sense for how different ingredients interact with eachother.
Honestly, she could make her own recipes from scratch if she wanted, but she much prefers the ones Haley makes specifically for her. She always shows Haley whenever she uses one of her recipes too :,)
She’ll probably share the things she bakes with you before she even realises it’s something you enjoy - and when she does realise, she’ll be super excited at the possibility of having another baking buddy.
If she has a crush on you, she’ll go out of her way to ask you about your favourites, and will try her hand at making a version of it that you can both eat together.
If it’s not something she or Haley have made before, she’ll keep you updated on the process as they work it out. Will insist on feeding you, and will wink cheekily at you when she uses the same fork for herself <3
If you get into a relationship together, she’ll share all of her ingredients, recipes, and even cooking utensils with you. Will also look for cute shape pans or cookies cutters to gift you.
Overall Baking Skill: 4.5/5. They are sisters, after all.
Tumblr media
Abigail:
Never thinks about it honestly - she likes baked goods, but she just doesn’t see herself getting much out of making them. Has all the ingredients available to her if she ever changes her mind though.
Prefers things with dark chocolate or seasonal berries, and especially likes eating them with accompaniments like hot cocoa, whipped or ice cream.
Haley’s not really her crowd, but she always gets a custom birthday cake from her every year since she started offering.
She keeps an eye on Pierre’s inventory, so if something that Sam or Sebastian likes comes in or restocks, she can be the first to grab a few of them.
She keeps keeps them on her person when they go to hang out, so she can immediately give them one if they mention they’re getting a bit hungry. Doesn't make any sort of deal about it either, just holds it out to them. Neither Sam nor Sebastian knows why she does this, but they’re not complaining either.
If you like baking, you’ll have to invite her if you want her to join you. She’s not good or bad at helping out, and will prefer if you take the lead for the majority of it. She will bring over the little extras or whatever you’re missing though! And as you serve up, she’ll offer to make you a drink or something simple to go with it :)
If she has a crush on you, she’ll start including you in her little Sam+Seb snack grabs, and if you ever mention needing something but not being able to find it in town, she’ll secretly get Pierre to special order it, by saying she’s heard alot about it in town recently, and they could turn a pretty big profit by being the sole provider! Is she lying? Yes. But, it’s for the farmer, so who cares <3
If you end up getting into a relationship together, she’ll make sure you’re always stocked up, mostly on general ingredients, but especially any decor. Likes buying you sprinkles or marshmallows and making you custom mixes.
She’s still pretty serious about the Egg Festival by this point, so maybe consider making her a few themed items using her mixes? She’ll love that.
Overall Baking Skills: 2.5/5. 'Decor Skills 100'.

Random Shane (Backstory) Headcanons Pt. 3
His dad left when he was young, and his mom was distant at best
He left home at a young age (18, if not before) and lived with Jas' father and his family for a time before they dormed/lived together.
He attended university but dropped out before he graduated, and he's very insecure about it.
He would babysit Jas so her parents could go out on dates and get out of the house.
Marnie always felt bad for him when he was a kid, so she would take him for a few weeks over the summer. They would go camping in the forest, roast marshmallows, and play at the beach. She would also take every opportunity to teach him all sorts of useful life skills, especially where ranch life was concerned. They grew apart in his teen years but became closer again in his 20s.
Both of his parents went on to have separate families, which he is not included in. He has half brothers and sisters but has never met any of them.
He resorted to stealing in his teen years because he couldn't afford the things that he wanted or needed. He likely has quite the record, though most of it would be expunged since he was arrested as a minor.
Before his circumstances changed and he was forced to move to Pelican Town, he lived in Zuzu doing a bunch of odd jobs.
Has only had one long-term partner when the farmer comes into his life, and even that wasn't for very long.
He only smokes weed, but as a teen and early 20-something he tried a lot of different drugs, though it was never anything too hard.
He's always loved birds, but his love for chickens came at a difficult time in his life. He had just lost his best friends and moved back to Marnie's ranch, and he took solace in spending time with them because they didn't give him pitying looks or force him to talk like the people in his life. Of course, he starts divulging all of his secrets to them anyway, and now every time he's having a bad day he can be found hanging out with and talking to his chickens.
Played as a wingback in college soccer and scared the shit out of the other players.
Can be extremely intimidating and throw a punch if he needs to, though he prefers not to.
His voice carries, and he can usually be heard above everyone else in a room full of people.
Was definitely in OSS/ISS and summer school a lot as a kid

may i perhaps suggest... a poly farmer who for the love of yoba cant decide whenever they'll dance with Harvey or Magnus at the flower dance festival, and instead of having to choose between the two, they decide attempt to dance with them both at the same time
"Look... I understand, but you can't dance with two people at once-"
"Watch me."
Lewis didn't have time to answer Farmer, for the stubborn impudent turned their back to the mayor, dragging the confused Harvey and Magnus by the arms. The local doctor managed to glance apologetically at Lewis while wizard acted like a rag doll and still didn't understand how one of his lovers was able to teleport to him and drag him down a small slide right into the epicenter of the spring festival. Though on the other hand, what was to be surprised - Farmers are as talented as they are stubborn in their goals.
Muttering something about the ill-mannered younger generation, all Lewis had to do was accept that the dance would be a little different this year. Not that the mayor was so overly fixated on traditions and rules, not at all. He had nothing against them and their poly relationship. Even with the more frequent presence of the strange hermit living in a tower in the woods, Lewis had already come to terms with it. They're together and they're happy, so who is Lewis to get in the way of that?
But is it so hard not to show off at least at the Flower Dance?! The youth this days...
"Dear, maybe we should do as Lewis asks after all..." Harvey doesn't much like the idea of not dancing with his lovers, but for the sake of Farmer and Magnus' happiness, and to avoid a tense situation with Pelican Town mayor, the doctor is willing to compromise. But it wouldn't make either Farmer or Magnus happy, so Farmer gave him a look that showed that it was useless to continue the discussion. Farmer was adamant, and they weren't going to sacrifice the happiness of one partner for the other- so either all of them or none of them will dance. Period.
Harvey glanced at Magnus, but the wizard shrugged, saying there was no point in continuing a fight that had been lost beforehand.
"Don't worry, your dance won't look out of place in relation to the others," the whole trio turned their attention to Emily, who was smiling to them.
"What do you mean?" At Magnus's question, the blue-haired girl's smile grew even wider and she pointed with her hand at the people who were preparing for the dance. And indeed: all the young dancers were three at a time, holding hands as if they were a small round dance.
"We decided to rehearse a bit beforehand since the idea was super fun and your dance in the woods was really beautiful," Emily doesn't even hide the joy and pride in her voice as she almost directly told the trio that they did it all especially for them.
"Were you peeping on us?" Farmer tried to pretend that they were somehow outraged that the girl was peeping on them in the forest, but the happy smile on their faces gave away with a gutted look. Emily only winked slyly and walked off toward Sandy and Claire, whom she had persuaded to dance with her as a group.
Well now, it was left to Farmer, Harvey and Magnus to get into position and get ready for their dance!
Lewis, of course, resented a little bit that people were doing it all wrong, but in the end he just waved it all off. And everyone looked happy and many people enjoyed this unusual dance format. Hmm, maybe next year he could do the same thing in the next Flower Dance?
