I don´t know what it is about the Phandom and also the dpxdc fandom that has so quickly caught be my throat and demanded all of my waking moment be spent reading. But god damn, I´m not unhappy about that - not by any definition of the word :3 After not watching or thinking about the show for over a decade i suddenly know more about it than i did when it still ran on TV. It´s gotten so far that i made a tumblr account just to simply interact more with the phandom and to read all the prompts and comics and look at all the fanart. so first of all: how did i even get here?

#I stand by my 7/10 rating for NATLA #But I'm watching the episodes in full (as opposed to flipping through them as I did before) #And I still don't like Bumi or Katara or Iroh's characterisation #But Ozai's is really irking me #Just because I love how the animated version of Ozai is so arrogant #He's not manipulative #Even when going to Azulon to ask for Iroh to be dethroned it's not very subtle. #It's what really sells the “of c I should make a position for myself and rule the world. I'm just that great. And my kid is that great too” #I get what they were going with in NATLA about manipulating Azula with fake affection for Zuko to pit them against each other #But I really think that the animated show's Ozai's abuse is just as damaging. Just different. #“You were born to be perfect like me and every single sign you're not is a disappointment of what you could achieve” is a #psychological MOUNTAIN to put on your kid #IDK. I know it's not a HUGE difference like Bumi but #It irks me. And it's irking me continuously. I liked OG Ozai and his flaws and his methods. #You know in a villain way. So, I binged a show today, where one of the subplots involved a bad Filipino dude trafficking other Filipinos. The actor who plays sheriff Galpin in Wednesday was also a dick cop in this show.

To tie it into an au, I’m curious, what is Spider-Enid’s relationship with the cops?

They detest her ass, probably heard the criminals keep calling her a beast with how she dealt with them and so the name spread like that abt a criminal beating up other criminals. It doesn't help that Enid kept low on the crowd and lunged at them

Most people were scared until you see Beast help a child up to grab their cat from a tree in a random neighborhood so the name fluffy became rather known in the local kindergarten

Watching the walking dead made me realize I been consuming too much kids' media. I'd always be sittin there hoping for them to cross a line. do something wild. have somethin outrageous and exciting happen. I've been craving violence and misery from shit that has to follow TV-PG rules. Wow watching something I'm the actual target audience for is great, who'da thought? 💀

ok after catching up on andor, i think its essentially just competent television and the rave reviews maybe say more about how bleak star wars output has been in recent years than any particular virtue of the show itself. which is fine! THAT SAID when one is used to having to ask who cleans the severed floor or who works at the meatpacking plant its nice to wonder absently who's off building the death star or whatever and then the next episode is the protagonist getting picked up on a false charge and thrown into a labor prison where he's forced to produce imperial machinery. : )
