A dinosaur tooth of the spinosaurid tooth taxon, cf. Siamosaurus sp. from the Grès supérieurs Formation in the Savannakhet Province of Laos. The 22-23 ridges suggest Siamosaurus, but could still be Ichthyovenator laosensis. In comparison, Ichthyovenator is described as having a total ridge count between 42 to 64. It should be noted that this is not referring to the original Siamosaurus suteethorni from the Sao Khua Formation, but a similar morphology referred to Siamosaurus sp. from the younger Khok Kruat Formation.

Siamosaurus was the first spinosaurid dinosaur reported in Asia. It is known confidently only from teeth, and it yet undetermined if two partial spinosaurid skeletons from Thailand and an isolated tooth from Japan also belong to the genus.

Like since In the show a garden guy touched a plant and got mutated would that mean maybe touching ancient fossils do the same ? Can be any dino you want :). Now, you’re a lot more dangerous than other mutants, Draxum realizes this.

Sending all four turtles probably wouldn’t be too effective, so he hired five foot clan members to help the turtles

When the turtles find you, they hesitate for a minute

YOU. ARE. MASSIVE.

You’re at least 7 ft tall, 8-inch talons, large, serrated teeth that look like they would make quick work of cracking a turtle's shell

The turtles and foot clan warriors attacked you quickly, they weren’t fools, having all of them attack you unsuspecting would definitely work in their favor.

However, what they didn’t expect is for you to bolt to the river and hide in it

Even if turtles are decent swimmers, they would be out of their element by whole-ass MAGNITUDES.

The minute a foot clan wades in the water is when you strike, similar to an Alligator or Crocodile, you crush them between your jaws and drag them deeper into the water, the only remains that there ever was a foot clan member was blood tainting the water red

Everyone hesitates, none of them want to go into the water, it was a death sentence, they weren’t the sharpest other than Donnie, but they weren’t stupid either

Donnie switches through his Bo staff, turning into a tranquilizer gun, however, he doesn’t have bait

Looking over at the foot clan members, he makes an executive decision, grabbing one of them and tossing them into the river, causing you to strike at them

Donnie takes aim and shoots you with the tranq dart, causing you to thrash wildly

Donnie signaled Raph to muzzle you with rope, which he quickly did, struggling a bit due to your thrashing

You ended up succumbing to the Tranquilizer a few seconds later, passing out

Waking up later was wild, there was this giant goat bastard who looks like he was trying to badly cosplay as Baphomet.

Growling at him, you flared the feathers on your head, trying to get up but feeling resistance, your neck, muzzle, and tail were secured with metal restraints

He seemed to scoff, the two gargoyles on his shoulders seemed to stare at you in disbelief.

“You are an odd specimen, I knew the Mutagen would mutate people into plants, but never extinct creatures!” you snarled at his words, thinking about all the ways you would mutilate and dismember this fucker

He walked around you before stopping, you glared at him, before he jabbed you with a syringe, you started thrashing, attempting to get out of the restraints, even if it was just your tail that was freed, you would see it as a win

Luckily your legs and arms weren’t restrained, so you forced yourself up, causing your neck restraint to creak before it broke off at the bolts, Draxum stepped back in shock, marveling at your strength

You were able to slip your muzzle restraint off, due to it not being tight, allowing you to open your mouth a bit, the only thing that made it so you couldn’t slip out of the muzzle and thrash your head around was the neck restraint, you snapped over to your tail restraint and bit it off

Getting up, you eyed Draxum up and down, He, seeming to understand the dire situation that was unfolding, started summoning those weird pink vines to capture you again, you were quicker though, bolting off and running out of his lair

Running right back into those four turtles.

They looked at you for a second, as if trying to verify that you were real and snapped into an attack position

You snarled at them, looking at your options, you were surrounded by two sides, however, the water around Draxum’s lair seemed to be a decent way out, you breathed in deeply and jumped into the deep water, swimming down into the watery abyss, the water was warm, but not boiling.

Draxum, Leo, Donnie, Mikey, and Raph looked into the water before Donnie made his usual smartass comment

“I am NOT going into the water to get that thing back” Draxum nodded, he was told about how deadly you were in the water, how you singlehandedly took out two high rank foot clan members before Donnie subdued you.

“Find him later, then” Draxum replied bluntly, before walking back into his Laboratory ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Not my finest work but I tried ;v;

So just curious, how would they react to a dinosaur mutant? I’m asking because @faetaiity made a head canon about it and now I’m curious on how that would be in your au. The Dino was a Siamosaurus mutant (hope I spelled that right)

Same as any other mutant! Leo and Mikey would probably want to start a fight, bother, harass, etc. Donnie would want to rip them apart at the seams, ESPECIALLY for that *gorgeous* crest there! And how Dino DNA can survive and exist in our modern times! Raph would really like the crest too, but he's not one for reptiles. Not fluffy enough for his taste (tho if they are feathered, that may be a different story lol. He probably would enjoy them a bit more. Mikey would use their feathers to stuff a pillow. He's just Like That)

A dinosaur tooth of the spinosaurid tooth taxon, Siamosaurus suteethorni from the Sao Khua Formation in Khon Kaen Province, Thailand. Unfortunately, this tooth has seen better days with much of the enamel worn away with a few repairs. Similar morphologies have been found in Laos, China, and Japan. These spinosaurine teeth have occasionally been mistaken for plesiosaurs, namely the pliosaur Sinopliosaurus.

Spinosauridae Series part 2!

And this completes all the spinosaur species that are known from anything even approaching decent material, and even that’s a bit of a stretch! This clade is a bit of a trash pile sometimes.

Featuring from top to bottom:

A very hypothetical reconstruction of Irritator challengeri. All we know from this spinosaur is a skull, so whatever the body looked like is pretty much a total guess. I’ve modeled it after Spinosaurus since they’re closely related in the spinosaur phylogeny, but there’s really no way of knowing what the rest of the body looked like.

Ichthyovenator laosensis, a spinosaud with a weird notched sail and what could possibly be a paddle tail similar to that of Spinosaurus.

And finally, the Indeterminate Phuwiang Spinosaurid (IPS), based on a partial skeleton from Phuwiang, Thailand. It has been referred to Siamosaurus, but since that taxon is a complete garbage fire (see my previous post on the matter) this skeletal material cannot be confidently assigned to Siamosaurus. Honestly even with how fragmentary the IPS is, it was still easier than drawing Irritator, because at least we know roughly what body shape IPS had.

Status: Extinct

Time and Place: About 129 million years ago, in the Barremian of the Early Cretaceous 

Siamosaurus is known from the Sao Khua Formation of Thailand 

Physical Description: Siamosaurus is not known from extensive fossil remains - indeed, it is known from only teeth that are very similar to those of Spinosaurus, leading to its classification as a close relative. So, if it is a dinosaur like Spinosaurus, it probably would have been a bipedal theropod, with long front limbs ending in extensive claws for grabbing fish. Siamosaurus would have probably had a long, crocodile-esque jaw,and some sort of sail or hump on its back. It would have most likely been primarily scaly. Beyond that, we can’t be entirely sure what Siamosaurus would have looked like.

Diet: Siamosaurus would have primarily eaten fish.

Behavior: Like Spinosaurus, Siamosaurus would have spent most of its time near or in the water, hunting for fish and swimming about in its ecosystem looking for more food. It probably would have been at least somewhat solitary, given the difficulty of fishing as a lifestyle for shoreline animals - crocodilians and bears, for example, tend to fish alone. But, Siamosaurus probably would have been fairly active in lifestyle, and probably would have taken care of its young. It may have been semiaquatic, but this has been disputed for other Spinosaurs.

Ecosystem: Siamosaurus lived in a muddy, tropical forest, filled with a variety of hot-weather plants right on the equator. This ecosystem featured a variety of fish and sharks, including such famous ones as Lepidotes and Hybodus. These fish would have been ideal prey for Siamosaurus. Turtles were frequent along the river ecosystem, and may have also been fed upon by Siamosaurus. There were competitors, too - pseudosuchians such as Theriosuchus, Khoratosuchus, Goniopholis, and Siamosuchus. Other dinosaurs also made up the ecosystem, though none are particularly well known - the titanosaur Phuwiangosaurus, the iguanodonts Siamodon and Sirindhorna, the carnosaur Siamotyrannus, and the ornithomimosaur Kinnareemimus. The titanosaur Phuwiangosaurus, in particular, was very common in this environment.
