According to legend, Siddhidhatri appeared before two sages, who had been meditating and worshipping her for years, and granted them their wishes. She is believed to possess eight supernatural powers, or siddhis, including the ability to reduce one's body to the size of an atom, expand one's body to an infinitely large size, become infinitely heavy, and become weightless. Siddhidhatri is also associated with Lord Shiva, and it is believed that one side of his body is that of Goddess Siddhidhatri.
