With the release of Sims 4 For Rent expansion pack, I wanted to give you some south east Asian representation. Download for the sims are below along with the cc used.

Age: 25 Aspiration: Championship Rider Occupation: Horse Trainer Given the nickname PJ (Privileged Jade) she got whatever she wanted as a child. That did not affect her competitive drive in competitions but it did make her a jealous sim when things did not go her way. Can she get passed her jealous streak and love more of life outside her horses.

The Sims 4 For Rent has been released, which is taking place in Southeast Asian countries, I would like to add more touch of Southeast Asian culture, it is culture of my country, Indonesia.

For upcoming Nyepi and Galungan Day 🙏which are Balinese celebration mainly celebrated in Bali, Indonesia.

(Left Top) Pura is Balinese Hindu temple and the place of worship for adherents of Balinese Hinduism in Indonesia.

(Right Top) Penjor is a Balinese Hindu religious symbol of prosperity installed on the day of Galungan ceremony

(Bottom) Gapura Candi Bentar is a gate consists of two temple buildings that have identical shapes and are placed parallel as the main gate to enter the courtyard area of the house or the outermost gate. Usually, it uses as a main entrance of the temple or place of Hindu worship in Bali.

⚠︎ Pura & Penjor have High Poly Count ⚠︎

Base mesh by respective 3D modelers, I decreased the high poly (100K) from original 3D model into less than 20K, added mesh, uvmap, and retexture to finish the 3D models.

Bastian the Smol. He is their last child, so yay for small miracles. Lol he cute tho. His sister came home from school and was scared because of a thundersnow, and the second she was in range of him, he pulled an interaction that gave her a playful moodlet and overrode the scared. Almost like he did it intentionally.

Iya, bro. Jaman gua dulu convert ke TS4 settingan SSAO intensity-nya di edit dari 1 jadi 0 gara-gara ada garis item nembus di CC nya. Lama-lama capek jadinya bolak balik klik klik material... phong... material... material lagi... terus save... cuma buat edit settingan SSAO intensity nya.

Karena gua pake metode yang diajarin tutorial yang tinggal import specular dari export-an TS3 TSR Workshop dimasukin ke semua DST image, ternyata malah jadinya ada muncul bayangan gelap. Harusnya yang diimport ke s4studio itu DST paling bawah dijadiin normal map ngikutin format alpha dari .dds original EA, bukan specular semua. Sekarang udah gak ada bayangan gelap nembus ke CC jadi settingan SSAO intensity gak perlu diedit lagi.

Dulu:

DST image atas bawah semuanya sama Spec dari export-an dari TSR Workshop tanpa diedit lagi. Makanya alphanya beda sendiri dan ngaco.

Twelve outfits for @digisims2′s Dummy Thicc body shape. All are enabled for AF, most are enabled for EF as well. All have fat and preg morphs and low to reasonable polycounts (especially if you stick to block feet).

wait BUT have you seen/do you have opinions on the new “seasian-inspired” sims 4 world

my main gripes are that it's like generic southeast asian/a mix of everything from across seasia which feels strange when the japanese pack was very clearly specifically japanese, that city inspired by san francisco was clearly san francisco, etc. but likewise selvadorada was based on a combo of mesoamerican and south american cultures so this isn't the first time they've smushed a bunch of cultures from the global south together lol. also it being part of a landlord dlc pack is crazy especially given that this is southeast asia with our incredibly tumultuous histories re: land redistribution and landlords but whatever it's electronic arts, none of this is shocking, average behaviour, etc

however i will say that even from screenshots and the ads i immediately recognized so much of the world from my own life experiences, so much of the architecture and landscape and everything reminds me of malaysia as well as my travels in indonesia (bali in particular, i suspect they looked at balinese culture a lot when making the pack) and it's so extremely rare to see anything in video games that reminds me of home that it does make me feel a bit emotional looking at it. i think people can sometimes exaggerate the value of representation in media, the idea of consumption as being the only political outlet that people are able to or can acceptably engage with etc blah blah but on a personal level it DOES feel really nice to see photos of tomarang and see home in it, to be able to inhabit a virtual world that looks more like the one i recognize and love very much rather than the usual western locales. even if it is more generic than i would like, its still accurate enough that it feels "right" to me when i look at it, so much that it actually makes me feel homesick lol. i haven't gotten the pack yet but i will at some point, i'm looking forward to it
