You early birds can get started on brainstorming! Coffeeshop AU? A Barbie Snarry infusion? Sleeping Beauty retelling? The sky is the limit! (Speaking of sky: Space AU??) How does one get Snarry to fall in love? ❤️ (Or fall out of love?💔)

Snarry AUctoberfest is an anonymous, prompt-based fest focusing on Harry Potter/Severus Snape in an AU setting. The fest is run by members of the House of Snarry Discord server.

You do not need to be a member of our server to participate in the fest.

Tai recs: July readings

Hear, hear. June was a month used to finish writing my pansmione fic for the amazing @hpwlwbigbang. BUT JULY, oh my, July has been a marvel! I spent half of the month on vacations with my family and engaged in beach readings that soothed me deeply. And then, my family left and I felt lonely and empty. As always, I spent the last 2 weeks stress reading in order to not feel the sadness.

I'm bloody thankful to the wonderful writers and podficcers who made this adaption to loneliness a easier proccess. Your stories and voices made me the most wonderful company I could ask for. And the level of creativity and skill in all the fics I'm adding to this list was so high and so marvellous, that I'm a bit speechless. I honestly have no idea how to put together a coherent sentence to explain how incredible the stories I'm listing here are. They completely enchanted me, and made me love, laugh, cry and enjoy my lonely time with so much gratitude.

Thanks so much, dear authors and narrators, you are bloody perfect and you made me so much company this month!

Outside of @etl-echo-audiobooks fests (see Winter Wonderfics 2022 and Draco's Quarter Life Crisis Fest 2023), this is my first year participating in fests, including @hprecfest. I've had so much fun and met some really lovely people. I'm so grateful to this fandom for being so welcoming and constantly coming up with new, fun ideas for fests. Besides the more than a decade's worth of fics they've collected, they have a competitive reading contest to encourage commenting and reccing during the anonymous posting period. I was excited when I found this fic, because it's not just one AU, it's a bunch. Harry is traveling through various alternative universes trying to get back to his own. There's one common thread throughout: Severus. This fic is heartbreaking and sad because not all AUs are bad for Harry. When I decided to record this, I hadn't really thought about the number of characters I would need to voice, including some original characters. I think it's worth a listen or a read on the strength of the writing alone.
