do you have hc's for death duo?? if you just have more q!phil hc's i would enjoy them as well!!
Previous qPhil headcanons
YES HELLO these took me a hot second, I wanted to do Missa justice bc the fandom tends to just reduce him to nice wet cat in love with Phil. Unfortunately he gets on so little, I don't have a lot more than that to run with, so what you see is what you get and they're more Phil-POV'd. 😭
Also these are platonic bc you asked for Deathduo rather than Pissa!
Listen man. Missa's place in Phil's silly polycule? It's not strictly romantic (if at all) and not strictly platonic, it's a secret third thing. I don't hc Phil or Missa as aro but what they've got going on is def smth some aros would enjoy. The best way to explain it is Kiss The Homies. Except there's a massive crush on Missa's end.
Phil loves doing literally everything with Missa. Exploring, egg care, goofing around, whatever. Quality time and gift giving are his love languages no matter the type of love. He just loves hanging out.
Phil can do no wrong in Missa's eyes. He's this amazing (and very pretty), smart, caring and powerful guy. He cares so much about people, how could he possibly do wrong? Missa is the #3 Philza Minecraft defender (he concedes that Chayanne & Tallulah are #1 and #2).
Missa doesn't understand the whole Bolas thing but he's happy it seems to make Phil happy. He thinks? (The word he's looking for isn't happy, it's manic /lh)
Being away so often sucks, but Missa loves coming back and getting stories from Phil. ... The good ones, not the [lore] ones. Those scare him.
They love exaggeratedly rping nuclear family to tease Chayanne. Holding each other making kissy noises like OoOoH MiSsA I LoOoOvE yOu! OoOoOh PhiLzA I LoOoOvE yOu tOoOoOo! And then Chayanne starts (lovingly) hitting them
The rare times Phil is doing something that doesn't require him to move around, Missa gets a free lap pillow. Phil's good at playing with hair, Missa knocks right the fuck out
And Missa likes putting little braids n stuff in Phil's hair. Actually he looks damn good with those little side ones tbh.
There's something funny about the Angel of Death and a reaper being so close. When the kids are asleep, they swap stories about Missa's past reaping jobs and Phil's,, adventures
Speaking of Phil's past, Missa hasn't doubted him for a single second about what little of the hardcore gods Phil has shared with him. El Ender King es una pequeña perra. >:(
Actually he REALLY wants a full-on lore dump from Phil. The stories sound so fascinating. He wants to know more.
One of Phil's favorite things about Missa is how easy to startle he is. Missa screeches never get old.
Dependable as ever, Phil is the first one Missa goes to when he's missing information or scared. Phil always has answers and he can always protect him!! (*is heavily implying angst here, no Phil can't :)*)
Usually it happens when Phil is 100% alone but he does genuinely get a lil depressed when he misses Missa badly. He wanders to distract himself
Idk man if I was Missa I'd get a little 😳 seeing Phil spattered in blood after a battle where he obliterated whatever the fuck it is he's up against. Scary crow man being a badass motherfucker and then his bloodied ass's first question is if you're okay?? HOO. Would not blame Missa for acting unwise about it

wow, okay i read all three parts of the niki fic and damn... i love it so much! can i be added to the taglist please?
i love the charecterisations and their stories because you have given everyone some personality which i find helpful to get more immersed.
and the fact that you keep switching pov's at the exact moment of a conversation to show both sides, which helps show how misunderstandings develop is just genius...
and i have never related so much to anything like i have to heeseung and yn's friendship like... people always assume that a girl's guy bestfriend is in love with her, or the other way, or that they're dating, when in reality it's just two lonely souls finding comfort in each other.
i feel like people don't question it when two girl besties look at each other like that, but when it's a guy and girl, assumptions and allegations get thrown left and right smh... and they don't understand that look filled with love is not romantic at all, but stemming from pure adoration for a soul you respect and love so much (platonically)... i relate to this aspect on a very personal level because rumors and allegations along with poorly timed miscommunication ruined my friendship with my once most precious guy friend.
anyways, coming back to the fic, i just knew it was going to get messy when yura involved jealousy in the mix, like nothing good ever comes out of making people jealous. especially since her plans of making heeseung jealous keeps backfiring, all because heeseung does like her back, which was her goal in the first place!!
i also love how fleshed out yn's relationship with every charecter seems, like it's hard to provide connection with the side charecters especially if they don't appear often. it's easy to forget about them and make readers forget too...so what you did seems very realistic, because random things do remind us of people we know at times, which is how you went about showing us (like yn thinking of her brother during her panic attack)
and i also feel bad for sunghoon but i don't like how he's acting here at the same time...wonder what happened...
anyways that's all i wanted to say! sorry if the long ask is annoying, but i just had a lot to say about the fic, because it's so well written... so excited for the next part!!
AHHH I’M SO GLAD YOU LIKE THE SERIES TYSM FOR LIKING IT AND OFC I’LL ADD YOU TO THE TAGLIST! ❤️
also i’m glad you noticed!! i’m trying really hard to make sure they feel a little more real and not just like side characters!
and not you calling me a genius (sort of) 🤭🤭🤭 tbh i think it’s the best way to make everyone see how the other characters misunderstand and not just reader. to see you’re into it makes me just shshljjkhsgehs
YESS!!! no one ever can just let a guy and a girl be friends without implying one of them might feel more for the other. it’s actually pretty sad, and i’m sorry that happened to you :( gonna be exploring that and what it means for reader and hee’s friendship as the story goes on!
lol yea… yura is lowkey messy for that, but she means well! tbh the jealousy thing is just gonna be more of a hinderance than anything, she hasn’t realized that yet tho 😬 also the idiots to lovers thing she has going with heeseung is highkey gonna cause a lot of problems, but we’re here for the messiness!!
🥲 omg glad u noticed bc i know it’s easy to forget about the side characters, but to me they’re just as important as out main couple!! they’re what’s going to bring this story together so i appreciate u noticing that <333
and our boy hoonie is acting up because he has a lot to make up for. he’s a sweetheart that’s going about everything the wrong way. it’ll make more sense as the story progresses!
also I DON’T MIND AT ALL!! this is my first time getting a long ask but it was so fun talking about the universe I created!! you can send me long asks any time you want!! i’m so happy you’re liking the fic and i hope you like the next part!! <333

i am most certainly not the first person to do a roleswap au, but i am definitely having fun with it.
details:
mary, assuming the protagonist's role with james being the one who got sick and is died. she wears james' jacket bc a few months into his diagnosis, he passed it onto her and said that even when he's not around, he'll always keep her warm. as we can see, the jacket is a little big on her. she wears the same blouse she does in the base game but wears jeans and boots that she wears as a cemetery groundskeeper. (i'm not making her run around silent hill in heels.)
mary's pyramid head equivalent, prism head! (cube head to be more precise but that doesn't sound nearly as cool) it's all dressed up in a nurse's outfit and has a surgical, methodical edge about it. the tools in its belt represent mary's versatility and divisiveness under duress. (ie. working multiple jobs to pay off james' medical bills, never late for anything, always working overtime to make just one more dollar, etc.) the cube shaped cage attached to its head represents mary's feelings of helplessness and uselessness while witnessing james' deterioration, feeling trapped and unable to do anything of use. the spikes that line the edges of the cage represent mary's thorniness throughout this patch of her life, and prism head attacks her with these spikes whenever she gets particularly angry, a vicious wake-up call to tell mary that this is how her anger feels to other people: sudden, sharp, and hurtful. the flesh-like webs attached to the sides represent mary's tendency to tunnel vision in the worst case scenarios, being unable to see things appearing or approaching her in the periphery.
james' sexy and mysterious counterpart, jacob! he is far more laid back and carefree than james ever was, assuming a much more punkish, bad boy aesthetic. he sports james' natural black haircolor in a short, shaggy haircut, and is often seen with a cigarette in his mouth. however, in spite of his overall calm attitude, he is fiercely insistent on protecting mary and keeping her safe while he fights off the monsters crawling around silent hill, which ends up getting him killed multiple times over. he also becomes incredibly frigid when things don't go his way and pushes back against mary a lot bc she is deadset on finding her husband and has no time for distractions.
prism head's whole deal isn't so much of a punisher as it is a cruel teacher. mary does way less self-flagilating than james does in the base game, being that what consumes her is her feelings of uselessness rather than guilt, and all of her monsters are in some part tied to those feelings like she was never enough. otherwise, james would still be here, alive and well. mary felt like she failed james as a wife, failing to be loving, devoted, nurturing, sweet, the whole nine yards. she is still crushed by the revelation that she was the one who killed james and not the disease, but she is far more bold and determined than james was in the base game.
the only roles here that are switched are mary and james'. everyone else assumes the same roles they did in canon. the purpose of this roleswap is to explore the notion of "if it were the other way around, it would still end in the exact same way." i also wanted to flesh mary out as a character more bc... well! i like her!

ep15 (part 1): compels me though
Tumblr media
starting off, sect leader yao gets such a bad rap in fics because he'a annoying/a symbol of mindless agreement with the popular opinion, but it seems a bit mean to me. the dude got really badly hurt to protect his guys
Tumblr media
oh, wwx. poor sweet naive wwx. it's wild to think he once had faith that the JIN clan would be on the side of justice here
Tumblr media
honestly I find this a very stupid pretext to get jfm out of LP. there is no need for him to personally go in such tense times, and no need for jyl to go with him
Tumblr media
GIRL DISCIPLES! OH BOY!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
myu in this episode is so fascinating to me. I don't think it's a stretch to say she genuinely cares about jfm even though she treats him like garbage. those two things can, and often do co-exist. she expresses her affection sideways because...what, she's embarrassed? because she's as emotionally repressed as adult jc is? because jfm would refuse it? he doesn't look very happy hearing that she's packing him something to help him. he looks resentful, if anything. man, this family is screwy
Tumblr media
look at her being concerned and protective over her daughter! she may be villainized in a lot of scenes but honestly most fics I've read don't capture the balance between 'shrieking, cruel, bitter harpy' and 'genuinely concerned mother and wife'. the area between those two extremes is massive and I don't know that many fan works bother to explore that space without just redeeming her and pretending like she never did anything wrong, or saying 'deep down she loved them all so it's okay'. it's like they worry if they show a scrap of care or humanity then they're excusing everything else she did. but I don't agree. she has nuance but that doesn't mean she's not a horrible mother, and in real life it's not like (most) abusive parents are screaming criticisms and attacking their kids 100% of the time anyway
Tumblr media
the way everyone talks about LP in this episode hurts me. 'our Lotus Pier" from wwx "my home" from jc "my Lotus Pier" from myu. interesting 😭
Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh dammit. I talked so much about how the wens would have attacked anyway and jc and myu were wrong to blame wwx only for it to be a personal grudge anyway. fuck. well wen chao's actions still aren't wwx's fault and even if they were he did enough to pay it back tenfold
...which is probably the facts that jc has to grapple with post-gc reveal. fuck
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so mean to him
Tumblr media
ppl like to talk about jc protecting ww from dogs (and he does, in the past) and a certain type of fan seems to think that because jc used to be like this, it means he still is, deep down. he is not. by the postres inn scene with fairy, he clearly is not
I've said that jc never changes, but that's a lie. he becomes so much worse. I grieve for this kid
Tumblr media
oh huh. wwx being trapped at LP isn't ever anything that's rly talked about in fics bc LP signifies youth and innocence and happiness and freedom but here it is. wwx suspects he's being spied on by myu too, which 😬
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
jc's panic and anger vs. wwx's cool, clearheaded response and reminder. jc is really not suited to leadership I feel so bad for him
Tumblr media
THIS SCENE FUCKS SEVERELY. it's everything ramped up to 100. it's one of my favorite sequences in the show, and absolutely one of the top three non-wx related scenes. maybe the very best for me. the arrogance of this woman is breathtaking and if you know a thing about myu you can see where it's going
Tumblr media
YOU SAID THAT??? MISS FORMER MAID??? YOU HAVE THE GALL TO SAY THAT TO A CULTIVATOR OBSESSED WITH BLOODLINES???
Tumblr media
glaring at wwx OKAY way to make every convo about beating him down
Tumblr media Tumblr media
obviously this is a really hard scene to watch and I always have mixed feelings on it bc on the one hand. obviously really upsetting. on the other, myu is acting to appease a sect that will destroy their entire home if not satisfied. she is not harming him permanently, and MAY be pulling her punches so the damage isn't as bad as it looks (tho arguments like 'he can walk later!' don't rly pull weight for me bc wwx walks off horrific pain all the time)
I don't think this means she secretly cares about wwx further than as a tool to keep jc/the sect safe (she needs him functional, after all), or that it means she's a good person, but it's a strategic decision that wwx understands and accepts because of the political situation they're in.
logically myu obviously uses zidian on wwx in other cases, because he talks about it, bc it's talked about enough that lwj knows about it, and because she didn't need to close the doors (implying it's a commonplace sight that nobody would balk at) but we don't actually see any of her whipping as punishment onscreen
Tumblr media
and yeah he's bleeding from his mouth already so it's not like it was nothing
Tumblr media
just fucking shoot me I guess. jc doesn't even know what's going on here does he? the others had to hold him back at the beginning too
Tumblr media
and myu thinks this is it! she doesn't want to disable her top disciple, who she entrusts with her son's life! she doesn't want the wens to have that kind of power over her people in her domain. but like. I think it's pretty clear she would have if pushed to it. like she was ready for it
Tumblr media
FORESHADOWING. ugh because of all the trauma you get it?
Tumblr media
^^^ again, whipping isn't an uncommon occurrence
Tumblr media
wwx is so good at adapting to situations he's already planning on training with his left. and he could have done it. I'm sure he could have. jc is thinking this is the end, he's ready to start begging. when he loses his core, he's ready to give up. but wwx always thinks beyond whatever horrible, world-ending situation is going on now. it's why his suicide is so shocking and powerful. he's never been one to give up, even through seemingly insurmountable odds

Tristora in a phantom of the opera au bc why not
What could I do with this? Let's see... Basic premise: Aurora de Martel is, as far as the world knows, the sole survivor of the deadly fire that took away her family, her home and her good fortune. Orphaned at seven years of age, Aurora would eventually reunite with a voice from her past at the Palais Garnier. Becoming the visible but unrecognized face of the strange duet that holds a phantasmagorical hold over the place. Who asks the other on dates: In the beginning Tristan is the one who always appears and invites her to secret meetings under the cover of the night. But I believe Aurora is probably more pro-active than your prototypical Christine Daaé. She is very intuitively aware of the moments when Tristan is watching over her. She is almost supernaturally good at realizing when she can say something subtle out loud and expect him to hear. Including allusions to the desire for a speedy meeting between the two. Added to this, they have at least one or two secret spots where Aurora can leave a ciphered or coded message, following their new tradition, and she is not afraid to use them to suggest time and place for their next clandestine encounter.
Who is the bigger cuddler: They spent some years apart in this au and one can instantly tell by the way both of their bodies very naturally react like perpetually attracted magnets ravenous to demand a feast for each missing day. Who initiates holding hands more often: Following the aesthetics of the film, Tristan began wearing leather gloves and the first thing Aurora does whenever they see each other, sometimes without even realizing it, is get rid of them. Who remembers anniversaries: I don't think they celebrate anniversaries here. In part because every day since their re-encounter carries a special, festive air for them. Aurora still receives something quite unique to celebrate her for her birthday. No matter the universe it appears she will never get rid of that. Who is more possessive: Tristan is ferociously envious of the seething injustice of anyone and everyone who gets to share the world with Aurora for a fleeting second in a way he no longer can. Who gets more jealous: Tristan. Although there are times when Tristan's written demands suggestions for the opera house mention the positive traits of some specific performer or another and Aurora gives him a run for his money. Who is more protective: Tristan will hang you from a rope if you so much as make his sister sad one lonely time. Who is more likely to cheat: Tristan has one fourth of his face burned under the owl-themed mask and his profession is as governing legend over an opera house. An acquired taste of a gentleman, let's say. Speaking in statistics alone, he is not precisely a coveted bachelor here. Who initiates sexy times the most: Whoever is not holding or playing a musical instrument at that given moment. Who dislikes PDA the most: Aurora has some bold and wild ideas on just how much they can get away with under the right disguise in public. Tristan is both extremely elated and sharply cautious about exploring some of the world at her side again under these condition. Neither of them is at all opposed to the displays of affection involved. Who kills the spider: Tristan explained that you can transform even catacombs into a glorious and grand hideaway if you learned how to make the territory yours. Aurora proceeded to kill the spider. That was her way of making the territory hers. Who asks the the other to marry them: No marriage proposal. Although there is a very much say you'll share with me one love one lifetime at the end of Point of No Return moment. Who buys the other flowers or gifts: Added to the obvious flowers, Tristan writes her plots to harmoniously accompany her music and makes sure they are transformed into plays for her enjoyment. Although no one except for them knows some of the compositions originally came from Aurora. Tristan does sign differently depending on if what he is presenting is of his own authorship, Aurora's or a collaboration. This caused some to theorize that they are haunted not by one but several spirits. Aurora has some financial limitations when it comes to gifts in this universe but whatever she gifts Tristan, he most definitely treasures. Who would bring up possibly having kids: The real question is when are we going to find an au where that is an attractive possibility for either of them. Because I don't think this universe is going to be the exception. Who is more nervous to meet the parents: Zombies are a dreadful pest. All of us should be if not nervous at least annoyed when thinking about the possibility of zombies. Who sleeps on the couch when the other is angry: What couch? Begone from my sight, not-applicable question Who tries to make up first after arguments: A strange system of hinting innuendos and extremely small insinuations and gestures any other person would call them insane for assuming the other understands. They both understand it. Who tells the other they love them more often: They probably fell sleep in the intimate reverie of hearing it repeatedly from the other after they reunited. They haven't been able to keep count since then.

What do you think of the 2005 Question mini? I understand it's a bit controversial among the Question die-hards.
I definitely have mixed feelings, which I think I'll put under a read more bc this got longer than expected.... Whoops.
Okay. So. I think it's valuable in the sense that it kinda sets up how Vic is often written post-2005 (hyperviolent & mystical), and I think it dips back into the Ditko-era "be totally convinced what you are doing is right, even if you're burying people alive in cement with a backhoe" mentality, which can be kind of fascinating in combination with the magic stuff.
At the same time, though, I wouldn't consider it "in character" exactly. It's one of those oddball runs. I guess it's closest to The Deaths of Vic Sage in terms of content and character choices (which, depending on how you feel about that, you may or may not like), and isn't what I would consider to be a "here, this is a cool DC character. Check it out!" kind of story. Like. Can you imagine giving someone the 2005 run and saying "yeah this guy has an amazing inner battle and I think he's totally fascinating as a study of how morals can twist as you experience more and more grey situations". I think I would get some strange looks.
That all being said, I think there's a certain point where it gets kind of hysterical watching Vic Sage, high out of his mind, run around Metropolis seeing ghosts. There is something fun about that. The Question has always been a character that played with reality and what could be considered "objective truths", so drugs are nothing new. It's cool to see how an extremely subjective view can influence what a person does in a situation where the answer might not be black and white (although to be totally honest, I think he overreacts severely in the 2005 run.... But I'll get to that in a minute.)
One thing that I'm totally sure about on the story is the plot point about Vic and Lois going to journalism school together and having some kind of tension. Unlike Lois, though, I don't think the poems Vic wrote were about her. I honestly think they were about him. They're almost entirely about finding the hidden side of someone, and seeing secrets that they don't want others to see. They don't read as someone publishing poetry about their crush, they read as self exploration through poetry. I think Vic's shame about Lois thinking they were about her shouldn't have been an unrequited love thing, and I definitely don't think it should have influenced Vic's decision making to the point that he decides that killing willy nilly is totally justified, especially if you think about other times he's killed for love (like in the first Question Quarterly). It wasn't the kind of reaction you would expect from him given the situation. I do think it was an interesting detail, though, regardless of the romance issues. Not even going to get into what Superman might have thought about hearing that poetry and then running out to find the writer reenacting Bob the Builder with gore.
I think that my favorite thing about the run was seeing Vic literally walk in two worlds. You get the social aspect of him not fitting in with his peers while also being seperate entirely from heroes (although I wish they'd shown this more), while also literally having a split in the art to show how divided his thinking is. It's a cool way to showcase how the character is a little different from the version of him in, say, Mysterious Suspense, where a black and white character is literally portrayed in black and white (which, while maybe not an intentional choice, I believe has artistic merit for who the character is and what he embodied). Plus, I think the parts where you see how he sees the world (at least, how he sees it while on powerful psychedelics) are really visually interesting. I <3 bright colors.
Overall, I think it's okay. It's a weird one, and it belongs in the ranks with Frank Miller's Batman comic, PAX, TDOVS, Trinity of Sin, that one 9/11 thing that I don't remember the name of, but I think it's worth a read if you already have a solid understanding of the character and want to see an interesting portrayal. If we rank the 80s run as a 10/10 and PAX as a 1/10, I would put 2005 at a solid 6.

what does it mean to you, to be loved?
15 March 2023 at 7:41 pm
Devising q for Ash.
To me, to be loved is to feel safe. To feel safety and warmth in their presence, to have trust and be at ease. To be able to be vulnerable, to be able to expose these sides of yourself that are fragile.
I feel many types of love quite often, from many people that surround me and people from afar. I'm a person that is loved by family, friends, lovers and acquaintances, or so i've heard.
One thing i personally know is that i give out a lot of love, Im quite friendly, very affectionate and i have a lot of care for those people around me. I'm glad I have this nature, my father calls me too soft because of it, but i think it's a reflection of how i'd want to be treated as. I wish for everyone to have a good time in my presence. Whenever i meet a friend of a friend, and introduce myself, they always have a lot of positive words that they've heard about me. "i love jen yeah! she's really nice and cool."
To feel and experience love is a truly beautiful feeling, and it is so very different each time.
My father doesn't show affection at all, his "love language" is doing things; gift giving and acts of service. He never has told me that he's proud of me or that he loves me, but i can tell in the way he saves my photos and achievements onto his computer in folders. The day after an argument, and he's been grocery shopping, i can tell when he's sorry and he loves me bc of the mango sitting at the bottom of the fridge. He doesn't like mango. We have a strange and difficult relationship, my dad and I, we bicker a lot and generally don't agree on a lot of things. But I know I am loved by the little things he goes out of his way to do for me, like buying lactose free milk despite thinking it's a load of bullshit.
My best friend Hannah, we barely talk online, but when we're both going home, and we're 10 minutes away from each other, we meet and it's like we're kids again. We don't have to talk or to chat or converse or update each other everyday, i know she's proud of me no matter what i do, as i am so utterly proud and happy for her in everything she does. I feel her love through her unwavering and continuous support for me, always.
Adam. He did love me, so much, though that love emerged from what i could give him and the love and hope i provided for him. He loved me so much he was planning to marry me. He loved me so much that he was terrified of me ever leaving his side, which isn't a healthy mindset i know, but he didn't understand what he was doing. Adam saw me as someone that could save him and help him through anything, his trust and vulnerability he allowed me to have is soemthing i never took for granted. His love was very strong but his heart was very fragile, so so delicate. I know he loved me because he didn't want to die because of me. It can be interpreted in many unhealthy selfish ways, but he did truly love me.
They say a mother's love is the strongest unconditional love out there. I agree wholeheartedly. For almost 10 years, my mum's heart has been aching and hurting, desperate to see me and hold me in her arms again. To hold her daughter and to see her in the flesh, to kiss her and to catch up and live the rest of her life with her. I know my mother loves me. There isn't any more i need to explain. She loves me so fiercely and unconditionally more than anyone on this earth.
Tommy. This person appeared in my life in such a specific time that allowed this love to blossom and bloom and eventually weep and decay. Tommy allowed me to be free, they had so much trust and faith in me and they had so much positive energy. They truly understood my situationship and my past relationship and allowed me to explore this newfound freedom, to explore it with them. It was the first time I was allowed to be truthful, to start a new slate with no insecurities or barriers. For the first time, i could be vulnerable and be curious and to learn without being reprimanded or scorned for my "failures". I was in the process of a rebirth of my own self, a life and sense of self without Adam, and Tommy was there to hold my hand through it. The love and care i have for this person is almost indescribable, because i am so utterly grateful for everything they have done and introduced me to. They have allowed me to become who i am today, continuously supporting me in everything i did, hyping me up and being so proud and happy with all of my achievements- big or small. I needed that more than anything in that time period, im very lucky to have known this person, and i am humbled that i could even be a part of their life as prevalent as i was. I know wholeheartedly that i was loved, and continue to be loved in their own way; just no longer romantically.
Robbie. My darling darling Robbie. When i said that love is beautiful and comes in many different shapes and forms, he really made me realise this. He's so,,, real. So human and so organic?

please tell me more about your mobius threesome coochie magic, daddy
HHHSNMSNBDBDH OK..FINE.......but i GOTTA preface with the fact that this concept (among a bunch of other brand new lokius ones) burst into my head very suddenly one night like a week after i quit my (very high dose) lithium cold-turkey after 11 yrs on it, and i wasn't aware at the time but apparently doing so is actually known to increase/foster new sexual fantasies??? and BOY was that the case!!!!! there's nowhere else this shit could have come from i was just fucking assaulted in the brain by images and ideas over which i had no control and i couldn't sleep for 2 nights cuz it was all TOO POWERFUL 😰😭
anyways!! keep reading if you're curious about the weird president loki/mobius threesome wherein, for his own amusement and curiosity, pres. loki does a....magic trick. to mobius..physically..but in a very specific bodily location. an anatomical switcheroo which then allows for some crazy new sex adventures. blame it on the lithium!
(also if you read this whole thing: PLEASE GOD come discuss it with me 😩 it's long i ACTUALLY put some Effort into it and i am. so fucking thirsty..)
so as you know my go-to fantasies often involve president loki finding mobius in the void and taking him in, and taking QUITE the interest in him. you know, the usual thottie personal-sex-toy mobius avenue i always send these two down. pres loki, by virtue of being a loki variant and therefore feeling attachment and attraction towards mobius by default (albeit in his own sketchier, sleazier way) does nothing to hide his lust and hunger for the man BUT he's gotta get his lil power play in too- after all he still harbors resentment towards mobius, since he represents the TVA, i.e. the reason he and all other lokis were thrown to the wolves, so to speak, in the apocalyptic wasteland that is the void- so his affection, while genuine, is just dripping with possessiveness and mockery.
but GOD help him mobius gets down BAD. FAST. and this is a side of himself that (to his existing memory) he had never seen before and finds himself melting at loki's every touch, heart racing and skin heating in response to the frequent obscene whispers spoken into his neck all day long, becomes addicted to this particular exhilarating feeling of helplessness. mobius has no real reason to believe HIS loki will ever find him, since he had no idea loki got pruned after he did, and he resigns himself to a fate that tempts him a WHOOOLE lot more than he'd like it to. and the fact that both lokis look exactly the same stirs up bittersweet feelings in his heart bc he misses His Loki so badly the hurt reaches his bones, but he comes to find out that this new loki does a decent job of fucking a lot of that angst out of him, and is into a LOT of kinky shit. obviously.
ok with that background out of the way, the actual fantasy involves pres loki and his constant desire to objectify and display power over mobius (AND find fun new ways to Fuck) putting some kinda shapeshifting spell on mobius, but one which literally just swaps his dick out for a coochie and leaves everything else as is- this is important to note bc it like doubles the pleasure potential for mobius, in that he still has his prostate so anal is still Great, but under this spell he now also has a clit AND G-spot. and that's where their love affair with double penetration begins >:^)
they don't jump RIGHT into it like..pres loki is SUPER eager to explore mobius like this and delights in how extremely overwhelmed he is by these totally foreign sensations, spending hours upon hours eating him out, fingering him, fucking him properly, etc etc. mobius, having just barely overcome his shyness about sex, once again becomes bashful to say the least. he's SO sensitive and SO unfamiliar with this new anatomy and naturally loki enjoys exploiting that in order to humiliate him, cuz it's just precious how red mobius gets when he teases him for getting sooo wet soooo quickly, and how he can have him cumming again and again in quick succession with his fingers/tongue. mobius is a total mess by now, in complete fucking heaven but utterly humiliated at the same time (just picture like....pres loki between his spread, trembling thighs; holding them in a bruising grip in an attempt to still them; mobius doing that cute little hiding-his-face-with-his-hand thing as tears of both shame and too-intense pleasure cascade down his pink cheeks, making sounds he's never made before, just all around wrecked 😳💦 and of course. PAINFULLY horny.), and thru this exploration loki realizes he could utilize his self-duplication in some VERY fun and sexy ways, and it's probably obvious where this is going..
mobius sandwiched between president loki and his clone, taking it up the ass AND in his pussy, and it feels so fucking amazing he can't do much more than moan and sob and cling on for dear life. obviously it's so impossibly intense, he's sooo full plus, i mean, he's got TWO G-spots now basically, both getting Pounded with all the force you'd expect from president loki. all the while loki teases him over how soaked he is and how easily he takes it, getting wet enough that he's dripping; wet enough to take loki's (very sizeable) cock in his pussy with ease despite being so tight, and over what a lovely mess he makes when he cums- loki typically likes finishing IN his pussy but also very much enjoys pulling out, pushing mobius to his knees, and shoving his dick in his mouth, blasting down his throat while mobius sucks loki's dick clean of his own cum. and all that good stuff 😏
when our 2012 loki variant DOES finally make it to the void, and finds president loki's personal bunker, now containing a VERY fucked-out, longer-haired mobius, both lokis obviously distrust and antagonize each other initially, blah blah blah, but mobius's presence has that soothing capybara effect which prevents them from really going at each other's throats (however 2012 loki is a pouty bitch from the jealousy over how much mobius enjoys him). ultimately pres loki makes the BRILLIANT realization that, hey, they could BOTH fuck him! no need to conjure up a clone to get the job done, and it ends up being infinitely more enjoyable for not only mobius but president loki as well, and the different fucking-styles between each loki complement each other. they're both rough and kinky as hell, to our now-slutty mobius's delight, but 2012 loki's affection toward mobius also comes through as tenderness and passion.
mobius gets to live out his loki-sandwich dreams and is cared for like a precious doll by His Lokis and has the most earth-shattering orgasms possible getting both holes thoroughly fucked. everybody forgets about the TVA and they live happily ever after

Bale!Bruce Wayne x Reader
Alright so ima go ahead and just post the Jerome chap tomorrow bc I'm too lazy to post it tonight okay bye also if u like this story pls like and share/reblog it means a lot!!!
Series Summary: Growing up on infinity Island, Moyra is taught very well in the art of assassination. As the daughter of Ra's Al Ghul, she sits highly amongst the brotherhood known as the League of Shadows. When her father orders her to lure a stranger from the outside to be recruited amongst the mysterious clan, she will question everything she's ever believed.
Chapter Warnings: more fatherly angst, fluff... pinky smut idk
Tumblr media
"You keep blatantly disobeying me, and you do so openly, without remorse." My father had yet again caught me leaving Bruce's room after spending the night with him. He didn't pull me straight from the door this time, as he had other matters to attend to, but he did make a point to separate me from whom I was training with later in the day. "I cannot keep letting you do this without punishment."
"You can't keep treating me as a child, I'm nearly a fully mature woman." I tried stand up for myself, but he wouldn't be hearing my remarks today, he had a point to make.
"You are a child! Twenty years gives you no authority in this world. You need to listen to me, because I know what your future holds if you don't..." He said, his voice becoming more gentle at the end. I knew he had my best interest at heart, but I wanted so much more than this provincial life.
"I can't avoid making decisions for myself. How must one learn to do something if someone else does it for them?" I tilted my head, trying to appeal to his fatherly side. It was much gentler than his leader of warriors side.
"I fear you may be drifting apart from the bond you once possessed with the league... with me." He bowed his head, and he looked troubled, which was not a common occurrence. He got upset sometimes, but never usually wore a look of worry. The man never faced anything he couldn't handle, so when he was distraught and uncertain, it made for a strange and unpredictable outcome. "I trust you to make the decisions, but I am afraid of the actions you might take to make them despite me."
"My loyalties lie with the league, just as they always have. Since the time I took the oath and even before that I have been nothing but faithful. You know that." I assured him. Really I couldn't help but feel the truth in his words. I was not close enough to any one member of the league except my father, for myself to wish protection on them all over a singular person who wasn't even sworn into our ranks yet.
"One can lay their loyalties with more than one thing, Moyra. Be careful who you trust, and never turn your back on anyone. They could just as easy rip you to shreds when you aren't looking." He said, the words of wisdom pouring from his mouth. He was right, I couldn't always trust everyone. Maybe I couldn't even trust him, my own father.... and even after making that comparison I still knew in my heart that I could trust the person he suspects my loyalties lie more firmly with. I believe that they do myself.
I just nodded at my father and left his presence. He couldn't stop me from strengthening my relationship with Bruce, but I wasn't going to push that fact in his face anymore. I wouldn't blatantly put him into a state of distress, however little the affects may be. I would not flaunt the way that I was simply delving deeper into a new place I'd never gone before. I cared for my father, and would not purposely defy him in a way that he felt I was doing despite him. He'd done so much for me to just throw it all away now.
I was exploring these feelings, and though I still did not understand them, I more often indulged them just so that I could try and figure them out. It was a wild and somewhat dangerous thing I suppose, for these feelings could push me to do some crazy things I had not thought of before with myself. Maybe not crazy.... but not things I had ever warranted necessary until now. Very personal, private things.
I more often spent the night with Bruce, for he was someone to keep warm with, especially on rainy nights... and he would often spend the might with me, too. Sometimes he'd be tired after a long day with my father, and would simply collapse in my room before he even had the chance to consider moving back to his own.
I often wondered if my father had similar discussions with Bruce like he had with me. Bruce surely would talk to me about them if he did, and moreover he would act differently towards me... wouldn't he? Unless he, like me, could not be bothered by my fathers words.
I doubted Bruce felt the same feelings I did. It made sense to think something was there, but I couldn't really identify it well. I wanted to let time pass, and see if the feelings got stronger, or if they faded.
They definitely got stronger on my side of things... so much stronger.
Bruce and I sat side by side one night, opening up different past events to the air, and letting each other see more vulnerable parts of each other... although I hadn't told Bruce about my most horrible trauma, because I'd be saving that one for when the time is right.
"I was just scared he might be coming for me, I still have this crazy idea that he might...." Bruce trailed off, leaning his head against the wall as he spoke, a little embarrassed to admit something only he thought about.
"You know I'd always protect you, right? You never have to worry... I'll have your back." I told him sincerely, as we talked about the reason he ran away. Falconi. Also the reason why he'd strung me up in that random house the first time we met.
"I'd be more concerned about protecting you..." he chuckled, pulling me closer to him as I leaned on his shoulder, gently massaging the muscles there. He'd gotten so buffed up the last few years, and I couldn't even imagine what a few more could do for him.
"We'd protect each other, then." I said, and he nodded in agreement. The next words to come from his mouth would be so profound to our future, and would most likely be our mantra to one another for the years to come.
"Whatever we face, we face together... so we can protect each other." He suggested, and I looked up at him with a soft smile.
"Promise?"
He didn't say anything, or even nod, but held up his pinky finger to me as if I knew what to do with it.
"What does that mean?" I asked, turning back to him while he furrowed his brows.
"Isn't this what girls do when they make a promise?"
"Like I would know..." I laughed at his dimwitted moment and took his pinky along with mine anyway. Such a childlike gesture that simply meant the world for a second. We were like two twelve year olds, making pinky promises while telling stories and trying to get the other to laugh. After the rain comes the rainbow, so after sharing trauma, we told each other lame jokes that even Dad's would be too cool to tell.
We didn't fall asleep next to each other that night, for we needed to avoid getting caught by my father, who'd throughout the last year, been implementing heavier rules. We still found ways to break them most nights, but tonight was a lovely night... too lovely to spend time plotting against the rules of our leader.
I slept well, but not as well as when I'm clinging onto the warmth of Bruce Wayne.

Hey! I know you don't have the answer to this, but what are some of your theories concerning Johnny's feelings towards Morrissey? When i listen/read Morrissey's solo work it seems that their relationship wasn't completely one-sided (in the other hand in the smiths it seems so). Also how Morrissey often gives hints in his songs (and even in that interview "why doesn’t anyone ever assume that Johnny Marr was in love with me?") that Johnny isn't/wasn't being true to himself. 1/2
Especially in the song (that wasn’t released)  “Born To Hang”  “I am born to hang but not to have kids and to never be wed, no to someone who I don't even love” like it seems so strange.  By the way i absolutely love this blog (especially your essays) you’re such a good analyst, keep going! 2/2
hey anon, thank you so much! i’m glad you enjoy my ramblings! :)
i’ll try to answer your question step by step (and as usual, keep in mind that these are all just theories and speculations... after all, i wasn’t even born when all of this stuff happened haha)
so, first of all: do i believe that Johnny could be gay/bi? personally... yes. i don’t know if you’ve ever read Johnny’s autobiography, Set The Boy Free... it came out a few years ago and there’s a passage in the 5th chapter which i’ve never seen anyone talk abt, but which i personally think it’s worth considering when talking abt Johnny’s stand on the lgbt community: “My friend Tony was a beautiful creature, another Bowie fan, with a blond Ziggy haircut, high cheekbones, and green eyes like a Siamese cat. [...] Tony was three years older than me and was the first guy I knew who was openly gay. [...] We were together a lot, and it got some people talking, which didn’t bother me at all - we had a lot of things in common, and plenty to talk about. [...] One Saturday afternoon [...] we were waiting at the bus stop when two big uglies came over and started making cooing noises and blowing kisses. I looked at Tony’s face as he continued talking to me, and I could see he was aware of the situation. ‘Eh,’ said one of the lads, ‘are you queers?’. They were obviously up for a fight. I readied myself for the inevitable as Tony continued to talk to me with his back to the goons and appeared to be ignoring their remarks until one pushed him in the back and said, ‘Eh, y’fuckin’ queer’. With that, Tony grabbed my head and kissed me on the lips for what seemed like a very, very long time, then spun around and attacked the biggest of the two with really hard punches to the face until the lad went to his knees. He then grabbed the other guy, who was backing off, punched him very hard in the face and threw him down into the road full of traffic. [...] As we ran towards the train station, Tony turned to me and said, ‘That was nice’ and then, laughing, he added, ‘Don’t worry, I won’t do it again.’
let’s keep in mind this was back in the 70s, Johnny was still a teenager growing up in a violently homophobic environment, and yet he makes a point of underlining the fact that ppl thinking he was gay bc he was hanging out with a gay bloke didn’t bother him in the slightest, even though he could’ve literally been beaten up for it. it’s true that he later met Angie, they got together and he never looked back, but i often wonder... if he had met Morrissey while he was still single, would things have panned out differently for them? if Morrissey’s romantic feelings towards Johnny had been mutual, would Johnny have had the courage to take their relationship any further? when reading Johnny’s interviews, i always get the feeling that he’s the kind of person who would rather show than tell. and, after leaving The Smiths, what does he do (among other things)? he collabs with The Pet Shop Boys, another band whose members have often been rumoured to be in a relationship with each other. and, a couple of years later, he co-writes and plays on Billy Bragg’s song Sexuality, with lyrics such as: “And just because you’re gay I won’t turn you away / If you stick around I’m sure that we can find some common ground.” it’s like... he never reveals anything specifically abt himself and his sexual orientation, but he uses the thing he’s most famous for (his guitar work) to leave enough breadcrumbs around to let ppl know exactly where he stands on the matter.
now... do i believe Morrissey was in love with Johnny? yes. obviously i will never be able to prove that 100%, but i feel like the clues are just too many to ignore.
however... do i believe that Johnny reciprocated Morrissey’s feelings? ... yes. kind of. i think that because they weren’t just friends but colleagues as well, most of their relationship was shrouded in ambiguity out of necessity. my theory is that Johnny knew of Morrissey’s feelings for him but that he may have underestimated them, thinking it was only a crush when actually for Moz it was much more than that, only realising the full extent of the situation when it was too late (after Morrissey allegedly phoned him to tell him he’d od’d on sleeping pills and confessed his love for him - which would also explain why, according to Bernard Sumner, he was feeling “traumatised” by him). this, combined with the fact that he was already in a relationship and that his drive and ambition made him prioritise the band and their music above everything else, may all have been contributing factors as to why he never felt like he could’ve explored, let alone embraced whatever he was feeling towards Morrissey, even if he wanted to.

Okay so Fire Emblem anon here!! Here's a Kinda Super Long Bc I Got Carried Away description of a few Fire Emblem games, plus some characters that seem like they hit tropes you like!
The good news is that there's not a super huge overarching timeline, there's several smaller timelines that are seperate from one another except for the crossover games. I'm gonna go with describing the newer ones that you're most likely to be able to get your hands on and play; a lot of people complain that they lean into some anime-tropey stuff and are too easy, but tbh, that's a perk just as often as it isn't. Basically, it's Game of Thrones, but rated T and with more cute girls and old men who are friendly instead of creepy.
Tbh, it's a turn-based strategy game with visual novel elements for characterization, if strategy games aren't your thing and you're just interested in the characters, watching the support conversations on Youtube might be more your thing. All the characterization, none of the resetting the same goshdang level thirty times. Anyways, description of the games in passing, including a brief description of the plot concept, pros and cons, trigger warnings, and some characters you might be interested in if you're just looking up characters.
*line break for legibility*
Awakening: for the 3DS. Follows Robin, an amnesiac mage, after they're found in a field by a band of knights called the Shepherds. Involves the undead, a twink in a mask, timey-wimey shenangians, and the usual cast of oddballs you'd expect from a Fire Emblem game.
Pros of Awakening: customizable player character, intro of Casual mode (turns off permadeath) and the Pair Up system, which lets you put characters together for shipping reasons strategy and stat boosts. Also doubles as a shipping simulator, since you can pair off characters and meet their later in the game due to said timey-wimey shenangians.
Cons of Awakening: there are some....very concerning combos of names/skin tones/plot relevance for certain characters, so go in with a warning about implicit racism. Also if you like strategy games, this game is relatively easy to break and make "too easy," but tbh that's what Lunatic Mode (the Ultra Unfair Hard Mode) is for.
Trigger warnings across the main plot: underhanded politics, attempted assassinations, martyrdom, an optional character is implied to stalk Robin but idk how to tag that, identity crises, conflicts within a family, character who isn't you looks like you, backstory child abuse, an optional character is a bad portrayal of DID if you squint?
*line break for legibility*
Fates: is actually a group name for two games set in the same universe, and a DLC bonus story: Birthright, Conquest, and Revelations. All for the 3DS. All three games star Corrin, a pacifist raised in seclusion in the kingdom of Nohr. Each game reflects a different path Corrin can take in navigating the war between the nations of Nohr and Hoshido: Birthright has them stand with Hoshido, Conquest with Nohr, and Revelations has them strike out (nearly) alone. Each path has a completely different storyline, cast of characters, and difficulty curve.
Pros of Fates: honestly, the characters here cater the most to the avid pro-shipper and multi-shipper. I just love this cast. Both Nohr and Hoshido have four members of the royal family you can play and get to know, each of those royal family members has two retainers who are various levels of dedicated and/or unhinged, and the cast just widens and widens. Also a character customization and shipping simulator point for the same reasons Awakening gets it. Also, canon fujoshi rights (there's a character with a skill called Daydream, which boosts her stats when two male characters are paired up near her. one of us, one of us). Also the first game with canon queer characters: both Rhajat and Niles are bi.
Cons of Fates: unfortunately, the writing is kinda rushed or badly translated in some places. Also *shakes IntSys* my lore! Give me more lore! Also, iirc, you could get both physical games in a bundle for a discount when they came out, but not anymore, so it's sorta like Pokemon with version exclusives. Which is less fun, since you can't directly trade characters. Also the fandom for this game is RIFE with discourse, which is kinda sad bc I just wanna talk my ships with ppl sjxhdjdn
Trigger warnings for Fates: child abuse might as well be Nohr's middle name, in-universe racism (since Hoshido is p obviously Japan-inspired, and a lot of Nohrians are rancid to Hoshidans), kidnapping, on-screen murder, lots of fighting your loved ones (on both main routes, you gotta fight the playable characters from the other side AAA), su-c-de, death of sibling(s) in certain routes, demonic-like possession, there's like six characters people can read as bad mental illness rep, Niles especially is discourse bait for being a kinky (yes that's canon) bi man of color but also he's awesome so die mad antis
*break for space*
Shadows of Valentia: for the 3DS. A remake of Gaiden, the second game in the series. Follows Alm, a farm boy from a small village in Zofia, and Celica, his childhood best friend. Zofia and the nation to its north, Rigel, are two nations ruled by the dragon gods Mila and Duma, respectively. Normally, they're in equilibrium, but Rigel is invading and Mila is missing, prompting Alm and Celica to independently investigate the problem.
Pros of SoV: the most like the old-school Fire Emblem games, but it also has the permadeath-off mode. also the first to be fully voice acted! The art style is gorgeous, and the plot was polished up from the old game--two characters names Berkut and Rinea were added, and they are PEAK OTP the diskhorse can die mad. Also the cast is pretty fun all around, from buddy squad and the older brother/dad figure they adopted along the way to "hello this is my gang of childhood friends, we're gonna kill a god" Also introduces Mila's Turnwheel, which lets you rewind your moves if you realize you goofed big time and screwed yourself over.
Cons of SoV: has the most references to other games, but you won't, like, be lost if you don't get them. You just might have a few interludes of "who tf is Camus/the White Wing Brigade/etc" but it's easy enough to look up on the wiki. Also tbh, the plot kinda drags in the middle, there's some filler battles to try and make it feel more realistic and it feels...weird. Also no custom character, you are Alm and Celica and you will Like It.
Trigger warnings for SoV: you know that thing where a girl character gets killed off for a guy character to angst over? the game starts with a fakeout version of that. also a character slowly goes mad over the course of the plot (but it's really well done imo?), there's some self-sacrifice stuff in there, classism is a major theme, possession/selling your soul™, there's a couple of levels where you're exploring tombs/prisons, I'm sure there's something else but I'm forgetting right now
*line break for legibility*
Three Houses: on the Switch. The newest game in the series, and the most polished imo? Stars Byleth, a wandering mercenary turned teacher at the Officer's Academy. The Academy, housed in Garreg Mach Monastery, teaches youths from across the land of Fodlan how to be warriors, commanders, and knights. Students are sorted into three houses based on their country of origin: the Black Eagles are from ghe Adrestian Empire, led by the heiress-apparent Edelgard; the Blue Lions are from the kingdom of Faerghus, led by prince Dimitri; and the Golden Deer are from the Leicester Alliance, led by Claude, grandson of the Duke. You choose one of these houses to lead, and then everything quickly goes sour.
Pros of Three Houses: It's such a rich experience! The music is incredible, there's so much lore, and you can wander around the Monastery and hang out with the students to your heart's content. Also, it's four storylines for the price of one, even if they're all relatively similar in the first half. It does a pretty solid job of weaving together its themes into a satisfying narrative that will make you consider everyone involved. Also we got our first bi main lord (Edelgard) and non-white main lord (Claude is mixed race) in one fell swoop! Also, given the setting, it's teacher/student ship heaven.
Cons of Three Houses: just gonna come right out and say it: one of the villainous factions in the game is pretty substantially tied up with some anti-semitic tropes. There's no way to ignore it, it's just bleh, and I'm not gonna send anyone in without that warning. Also, though there's some characters you can persuade to switch sides, or spare, there's no route where there's a happy ending for everyone. Also there are so many people who are fake deep about the themes of the game, so be ready for the worst takes imaginable about your faves. also super trigger heavy, see below.
Trigger warnings: MANY. Garreg Mach and the Church of Seiros are very reminiscent of catholic religious stuff, for anyone with religion triggers, blood in cutscenes, death of a parent, death of a sibling (different characters), major gaslighting vibes in some places, lots of people going unhinged, some white savior™ vibes in places, body horror, creepy ass weaponry, backstory genoc-de (mostly not related to the anti-semitism), blood magic (definitely related to the anti-semitism), in general it goes to a lot more effort than the other games to make you think about what's Actually going on, even if it doesn't always work.
*break for legibility*
As for characters you'd like, if you just want to look some characters up, my recommendations based on what I understand about you include:
Awakening: Libra fits 'gnc man of the cloth' so well it's actually a conversation in game: "so what's a woman of the cloth doing here?" "...man, sir, man of the cloth." And Then He Never Gets Misgendered Again. Also Nowi's supports sometimes feel like a jab at antis-- she's a manakete, a person who can transform into a dragon. Manaketes also grow really slowly, as in "middle aged looking manaketes are like 1000 years old," so she's got major baby face and copes with being mistaken for a teenager by making jokes. Also Gregor, who she first appears with, is pretty fun--older mercenary with a thick accent who is like 80% here for a good time. Also Walhart, who's a villain but got some content added as DLC.
Fates: any interactions between Corrin, Leo, and/or Camilla are probably right up your alley--Camilla is obsessively protective over her siblings in a way that's Very Definitely Platonic™, and Leo also canonically has a crush on her in something that was cut in the English release. Also Gunther--once upon a time he was your classic knight in shining armor, now he's semi-retired, Corrin's personal guard, and covered in scars (and his voice is gorgeous too)
Echoes: my biased answer is to listen to every single line Ian Sinclair read for Berkut because he absolutely did NOT have to go that hard. My actual answer is to point you in the direction of the pegasus sisters Catria, Palla and Est, or maybe the older gentleman who's the head of the Priory, I forgot his name oops abbdbd. Also Clive is a devoted husband to one Mathilda, who looks just like an older version of his sister Clair 🤔
Three Houses: knowing you, you'd adore Hanneman--an older professor who's extremely passionate about his work, to the point where he tends to forget personal space and such. Also Seteth, like I mentioned before (join me in simping for him and his gorgeous pecs) and like, honestly, I know ppl make jokes about Alois but he's rlly good. Soft, awkward but he doesn't care, dad jokes everywhere. And also Mercedes, both because she's the biggest sweetheart imaginable and everyone should love her, but also bc she is just walking potential for the kinds of stuff you post on this blog. On one hand, she's the oldest student at the Academy and attached at the hip to one of the youngest, Annette (tho people act like they have a way bigger age gap then they actually do) and on the other hand, she has a long-lost half brother she can encounter (who I will not name for HUGE HUGE spoilers reasons) who she spends the rest of her life with in one of her endings. Heck, he has three possible endings total! Total!
Basically I brought the games up bc I'm used to being on the side of the fandom where everyone shoos anything uncomfortable under the rug, but there's so much material here that's being wasted I SWEAR
If you have any other questions I can send another anon? Your call! Thanks for hearing me out I love ur blog :3
OKAY!!! sorry for answering so late, but this ask was pretty much a BOOK (not that I´m complaining though! thank you so much! ;;u;;)
and from what I read here, I THINK if I´m going off on my first fire emblem adventure, I´ll try and pick up three houses if I get the chance! I have read your trigger warnings (thank you so much! ;u;) and I think I can take it! >:3
again though, I am really, really not a fan of anime and the anime artstyle in general (blergh! XP) so I´m not sure how I´ll cope with that in particular, but then again, an artstyle does not make a game! u3u
AND HANNEMAN SOUNDS LIKE A WINNER TO ME!! I looked him up and OOOF!!! he may not have NEARLY as many wrinkles as I´d like him to have, but the facial hair is definitely a step in the right direction! ;3c
NOW YOU GOT ME INTERESTED!!
LETS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!! (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Speaking to the connotations of race, it's interesting that people in the fandom want to make Daniel the black character when for so many years, a goodly bulk of this fandom has only attributive Daniel as having any value to the story when he's attached to Armand, or made him the butt of crazy jokes. It seems awfully suspicious to me that the "best' character" to be cast as a POC is the one so many have considered the throw-away one. If that doesn't speak volumes, I don't know what does.
Race. *sigh* I keep revisiting this ask, and each time I do I feel more and more like I don’t want to engage as there are so many landmines.
Tumblr media
I didn’t get into fandom for landmines, and so I maneuver around them, and the reason I’m answering this at all is for those who are thinking about topics like these but are too afraid to respond for fear of the landmines.
I’m responding bc I feel like if sharing my perspective could make just one person feel better about this, then it’s worth the risk and worth my time and effort.
THAT SAID, I’m not sure which post you’re referring to, Anon, but there was one a few weeks ago in which another Anon asked/said:
I’m up for Daniel being Black in the adaptation. His race isn’t mentioned specifically in the books, and we need diversity in an ocean of white Eurotrash fops! I don’t see any reason why not and Bryan cast the lead in American Gods as black so I’m hopeful to see some good changes in Anne’s work. What do you think?
^Here’s one person who wants to cast Daniel as POC/Black, and they seemed to be accentuating the positive. They want diversity. They compared him to the lead from American Gods being cast as black. I don’t watch that show so I don’t know if that character is the “butt of crazy jokes” or only has value being attached to another character, but it seems to me, at face value, that this Anon thinks that Daniel being cast as POC/Black is parallel with the lead of another series being cast as POC/Black, this Anon states that as being a good change.
I answered that Anon more in depth with some historical context, so you can look at that response, but basically, Anne is open to casting POC for VC characters. I’m open to it! I trust in whoever is running the adaptation to produce it in a tasteful and respectful way, and updating it to be inspiring and satisfying to a wider audience would be great, however that happens.
TL:DR;  I think people do care about Daniel, and would love to see a character that they care about, like Daniel, be cast as a POC as a good thing. Daniel is not perfect (none of them are! Except Mojo) but he has many positive traits: he’s clever, resourceful, sassy, charismatic, capable of loving and being loved in return. I think people would love for the adaptation to show that those traits can absolutely be found in POC, too. We do need more positive representation like that.
Reminder that this is a fandom blog for entertainment and I am not here to make/agree/disagree with political statements that are potentially inflammatory. Not my focus. But I will address your points to some extent.
Speaking to the connotations of race, it’s interesting that people in the fandom want to make Daniel the black character
I haven’t seen an enormous amount of people in the fandom wanting this change, I think one blog is dedicated to it? I’ve mostly seen interest and support for casting a POC as Akasha, since that casting in movie!QOTD was pretty widely praised. I see people talking about considering casting other characters as POC, but I don’t see anyone other than Akasha as being the main character of interest for that.
One could criticize that choice as being bad, as it could imply that POC/Black women are villains, bc she was a villain in that movie. That’s not the message I took from that casting choice, but one could easily argue that that was a message being sent (and therefore, Bad representation, even though she was cast as a character in a position of power).
when for so many years, a goodly bulk of this fandom has only attributive Daniel as having any value to the story when he’s attached to Armand, or made him the butt of crazy jokes.
“for so many years” covers decades of time, these books have been around since 1976. Reflecting back to when I started in this in 1993 (which was already almost 20 yrs late), I can’t say that any character has escaped being the butt of crazy jokes in all this time, and with the nature of shipping, many of the characters seem to only have value when attached to other characters.
Re: shipping: it seems like ships are more prevalent in fanworks than fanworks portraying the characters on their own, and so it may give the impression that fandom “prefers the characters as part of a ship,” but personally, I think of shipping as the collision of 2 (or more) characters, to see how they’ll interact: in happiness, sadness, anger, all the different ways! Writing about a ship can allow a fanartist/writer/etc. to explore how each member of the ship will react in actions/words/etc.to the other’s actions/words/etc. So I can see how you might get the impression that “Daniel only has value as being attached to Armand,” but I think it’s more about how Daniel presents himself when he is with Armand, that’s what the fanworks are exploring.
Along those lines, however you interpret that ship, the bulk of Daniel’s post-IWTV “screentime” was in QOTD, with Armand, and after that, Daniel doesn’t get much action in canon until the more recent books (but even then, not as much as in QOTD). As the fandom does tend to ship Daniel with Armand, and plenty of it that I’ve seen (especially in fanart) is somewhat fluffy, again, I can see why you might get the impression that “he’s only valued when attached to Armand,” but really, I think Daniel/Armand shippers are fascinated with the dynamic of that ship. It’s rarely fluffy in canon. So some of them make fanworks for wish fulfillment, and that’s valid.
Personally, I don’t think Daniel’s only value to the story is when he’s attached to Armand, but again, he spends most of his time in canon with Armand, maybe that’s why the fandom doesn’t tend to write him on his own time separately.
Re: being the “butt of crazy jokes”: As a side note, when we joke about characters, that’s not to say that that’s always a negative act. Look, we’re currently dragging Lestat bc he said IN CANON that he loved being called a “slut,” which is really more of a layered commentary on shaming people for enjoying sex/intimacy, and he refuses to be shamed for it, he’ll turn around and take it as a compliment instead ;)
I’ve been in this fandom for over 20 years and I don’t think Daniel has gotten the worst treatment in those terms, it seems to me that there have been waves of love/interest/disdain/mockery of most of the main (and side) characters at different points in time, and from different groups of fans. So that may be your experience, and that’s absolutely valid, but I haven’t seen it that way. Of all the characters, I think Lestat probably gets the worst of being the butt of crazy jokes and he likes it bc bad attention is better than no attention.
It seems awfully suspicious to me that the “best’ character” to be cast as a POC is the one so many have considered the throw-away one. If that doesn’t speak volumes, I don’t know what does.
I’m sorry, but I have to disagree here, too. I wouldn’t say he’s a throw-away character for the whole fandom. There are Daniel RPers. As I’ve mentioned, it happens that he doesn’t have a lot of action in canon other than in books 1 (as just the interviewer, but it counts!) and 3, so the fandom does not have as much canon to work with as they do for other characters.
And again, re: the fandom choosing him as “the best character” to be cast as a POC, that seems to be Akasha, from what I’ve seen.
Relevant to this discussion: there was a wave of love for Nicolas a few years back, for the same reasons, I think, that  @mendedpixie7 felt about Adam in Only Lovers Left Alive:
The reason I love Only Lovers Left Alive is it shows that a character (Adam) can be severely mentally ill, in this case depressed and suicidal, and still be seen as lovable and capable of being loved and loving in return without being “cured” of their mental illness, and that a mentally ill character can have other attributes aside from being mentally ill while still showing the impact being mentally ill has on his personality.
Adam from OLLA is an extremely important character to me you guys.
Similarly, I think people would love to see a character that they care about, like Daniel, be cast as a POC as being POC is often portrayed negatively in media. Fans of a POC being cast as Daniel would want (I’m paraphrasing from above):
to see Danielshowing that a character can be POC, in this case black, and still be seen as lovable and capable of being loved and loving in return, and that a POC character can have other attributes aside from being POC while still showing the impact being POC has on his personality.
Daniel Molloy from VC is an extremely important character to me you guys.

Another pride prompt! Daisy is freaking out because she just realized that 1) she has a crush on jemma 2) does that mean she is not straight?? until Fitz figures out what the problem is and is there for her as a supportive friend (Bonus for: "Aren't you worry/mad that I have a crush on your girlfriend?" / "Please, like both of us don't have ginormous crushes on you, Daisy.")
AN ~ I always love some FitzSkimmons but today I was feelin some regular Skimmons so have this brotp: FitzDaisy + romantic Skimmons/Bioquake... in a Coffee Shop AU bc #reasons. Super fluffy. Enjoy!
Read on AO3 (~1200wd)

Fitz’s stomach was growling by the time Daisy finally made her way, in drifting and stumbling steps, back to the table where he was waiting. She had her head turned over her shoulder, not watching where she was going, and all but stumbled into the table before she realised where she was. And how long she’d been staring back at the cashier, and the little glint of her silver necklace the way her blonde hair tickled the back of her neck as she made the next coffee and –
“Shit.” Blushing furiously, Daisy pulled her head in. Rampant thoughts scattered through her mind of flowers and kisses and a dog for some reason and a kitchen that was way nicer than hers and bare skin and –
And then Fitz ruined by taking a loud, slurping gulp of his milkshake.
“Took you long enough,” he cursed, but sighed with satisfaction as Daisy finally remembered to unload her cargo, and Fitz got his hands on the ham and cheese toastie he’d ordered nearly fifteen minutes ago. “Are you alright? You look warm. Should we move over to the window?”
“No! Nah. I mean. I’m fine. Just – strong coffee, that’s all.”
Fitz frowned. Daisy was an indiscriminate coffee drinker, just as likely to dump a handful of instant coffee in whatever mug she could find or empty a can of whipped cream into a frappe as she was to order a neat cappuccino with baby marshmallows or biscuits on the side. Strong coffee? Not likely. Nevertheless, no other explanation immediately came to mind so he let the topic go and they moved on to food and movies and video games and the afternoon whiled away.
Unfortunately for Daisy though, her confusing ordeal was not over yet. This was their regular café, and the new girl – so attractive Daisy seemed to forget how to speak around her – seemed to be there every day. Every meal. Every tiny smile as she rung up paninis and muffins and coffee and cola and Daisy really did not have the budget for this, but gradually she realised she was dragging Fitz more and more often to the same table and that maybe she was giving off the impression that this was their table and that they were a they and not that it mattered but it kind of did but why did she care all of a sudden… and it was when she looked down at the coffee she hadn’t ordered – it was the girl, Jemma, she had just known – that Daisy realised what it all meant. The flushed cheeks. The domestic daydreams, and the not so domestic ones. The need for Jemma not to think that she and Fitz were together. To keep the door open. To allow for the possibility…
“Oh… my god,” she whispered.
“What?” Fitz looked up from the design he was doodling on her napkin, and frowned at her unusually pale cheeks. Daisy bit her lip, but there was nothing for it now. She couldn’t talk about it to anyone else. Fitz was the only one who knew her well enough. The only one she felt like trusting. The only one she didn’t feel completely foolish, confessing to about anything… even if it did seem ridiculous… or did it? Or…
“Y’know Jemma?” Daisy began. A smile touched Fitz’s lips.
“Oh yes. Jemma. Jemma Anne Simmons. She’s just moved here from England and she’s on a working visa and she wants to see the Grand Canyon so she’s saving up but it’s hard because rent here is so expensive. That Jemma?”
Daisy blushed. It had been her that had parroted all this to him. Another sign, perhaps, that she was more interested than normal? “Maybe.”
“Then yes, I’m familiar. Go on.”
“Well… I think I might…” Daisy took a deep breath. Here goes. “Like her. Like her like her. You know, like… like her.”
Daisy’s fingers dug into the coffee cup so tensely she might have worried about tearing it, if she’d thought of such a thing. Her eyes searched Fitz’s face for a reaction. He frowned a little at first, but not in disapproval. It was more like… exploration. Reflection. As if realising that this all made sense.
“How do you know?” he wondered.
“I don’t know, haven’t you ever liked someone before? It’s just – it, y’know, you like them. And you want to be with them and hear their voice and learn everything there is about them because they’re pretty and nice and funny and – Jemma’s funny isn’t she? Probably. She’s probably funny.”
“Okay, I think that’s enough coffee for you.” Fitz pried it out of her hands, and Daisy rapped her nails on the table and rocked from foot to foot. She couldn’t help a glance back over her shoulder, at Jemma, and since it was a quiet moment, Jemma smiled and waved. Daisy waved back, and squeaked, and hid again, and when she saw Fitz smirk she glared.
“Shut up, asshole,” she hissed.
“No, it’s not that,” Fitz protested. “Although – for the record, you are adorable – it’s just… I think you have more of a chance than you think.”
“More of a what?”
“Well, first of all, Jemma just tucked her hair behind her ears for the third time in the last two minutes… and second of all…”
Fitz slid the coffee cup back toward Daisy, and turned it around, so that her name, and a phone number faced her. Daisy gaped at it.
“That’s not – that’s not my number.”
“No, it is not,” Fitz agreed, waiting for the implication to settle in. Daisy gaped. Blinked.
“Should I… should I text her? No, right? She’s at work. And I don’t –“ she scoffed dismissively. “I mean, I don’t want to lead her on. I don’t even know what this is, really.”
“Then find out.”
Fitz nodded, but not at Daisy. Daisy frowned, and turned. Was he talking to Jemma? But her brain hardly had time to jump from one thought to next before her phone buzzed. Instinctively, she pulled it out, and read the text in the notification.
I get off at 2.
Daisy danced before she could think about it. Fitz smiled, and hitched his bag onto his shoulder.
“I’ve got to get back to the grind,” he said. “Tell me where it goes. I mean, not all the way, just – let me know, okay? Good luck.”
“Good luck!” Daisy replied. “I mean. Thanks. Will do.”
She waved, and he waved, and left, and she looked back down at her phone as the clock ticked over from 1:59 to 2:00. She felt a little thrill in her chest. Then she realised there was somebody standing behind her. She turned.
“Hi.” Jemma blushed, and tucked a lock of hair behind her ear.
“Hi.” Daisy bit her lip for a moment. “So I, uh. I would have brought you to this great coffee place I know but… who wants to go on a date at work, right?”
“Here here.” Jemma pursed her lips. It was true, but it did require more effort be put in, and they were only at the beginning.
“Have you had lunch?” Daisy offered.
“Actually, no,” Jemma confessed.
“Do you like burritos?”
Jemma’s stomach rumbled before she could answer. She laughed, and Daisy grinned at it, before dropping her payment on the table and gesturing to the door that led the way out.
“I’ll take that as a yes, then,” she agreed proudly. “Don’t worry, I know a place.”
