Tips for Spn Artists posting on Tumblr 😄👍🏻

I see a lot of new artists posting Spn art and it can be a struggle to get your art out there. Or you might be new to Tumblr and not sure how best to put yourself forward.

I post Spn art and do a lot of bangs when my health permits. And I have picked up some tips that I have found helpful for posting art tumblr 😄 so I thought I would share.

Please feel free to take any of these points or leave them as suits you!

✨Personalise your header and icon. Bots will often make posts with popular tags and stolen art, to try and gain followers before throwing out the spam links, but some clues the account is a bot is not having personalised headers and icons, not having a long history of posts (more than a few days), and not talking about their art or fandom. So make sure you don’t look like a bot 😄

✨Interact with accounts you enjoy. Like, comment and reblog your favourite accounts and they will likely return the favour and you will get more followers. The first way your post gets noticed is by your followers. Interacting isn’t always easy if one is an introvert or doesn’t have much time for social media, but do what you can where you can.

✨If don’t have many followers then the next best thing is to use tags more. People follow key tags to find new posts from blogs they are not aware of. I recommend using the ‘Spn fanart’ tag on all your art posts. Also be sure to include: common ship names, the character names, and key words like: cute, funny, angst, angel, wings, etc 👍🏻 😄 this will help people find your posts, so be sure to tag consistently!

✨Make a personal art tag, it could be ‘your name art’ or something as wacky as you like. But tag all your art with it! If someone sees your art post out in the Spn fanart tags and they like it, they can click your art tag to see the rest of your art posts.

✨Don’t include links to outside webpages unless absolutely necessary. If you are posting for a bang, reblog the bang master post for the story which has the links to ao3, but then make your own art post and only link to the tumblr master post. Tumblr often hides posts with links to outside webpages (so that the porn bots sending you to spam websites get minimised, but unfortunately this also minimises links to ao3 or shops 😔). Links to another post inside of tumblr are ok tho! So to keep your art post from being hidden from searches, only link back to the master tumblr post with the story info. If people want to read the story they can follow the ao3 link from there. But it’s better that they actually get to see your art (the ‘advert’ for the story) in the first place so that they know it exists!

Also keep this info in mind if you are linking to your shop or your other socials. Your direct followers will see your shop posts but because of the external links the post might be hidden from searches. Consider doing a mix of posts with direct shop links and ones that get the info out there but link back to a pinned tumblr post or bio post with the outside link.

✨Don’t crowd your art. Many people view tumblr on mobile so your pictures will look small. People can’t really see the details if you put 2 images side by side. Put one image on each line and consider making some cropped images to show close up details of your favourite bits. You need to catch people as they are quickly scrolling past, so be sure that you make it easy for them to see what you are offering.

✨And finally don’t be afraid to do reblogs. It isn’t rude to reblog your own work, it’s helpful. Dashboards can get very busy and even if people follow you, your post might be burried a long way down if they don’t get back online multiple times a day. Reblogs will give them a chance to see what they missed. As long as you are not posting on the hour every hour, most people appreciate 2 or 3 reblogs at different times to save them having to scrolled back for days! 😄 and don’t forget that tumblr is multinational. Time zone reblogs can be helpful.

✨oh I forgot one more thing! Don’t put yourself down! No piece of art is perfect! Ever! But Michelangelo doesn’t start off by apologising that the statue of David is out of proportion. And neither should you! Let your work shine where it shines and don’t bury it in put-downs before you even give others the chance to enjoy its triumphs! You deserve better and so do they!

We were all new to this hellsite (affectionate) at some point. And life is already hard for us struggling artists so whatever we can do to help each other is a good thing 💛

OK so I'm feeling some guilt I started to draw cartoony like you but I get frustrated because it does bot look perfect like yours it's mostly small stuff like colors and clothes I love making cartoony body's sometimes clothing but I have color picking because I'm still new to art that has colors is my feelings normal or is it wrong of me? And how do I pick colors because it frustrated me to no end and made me stop drawing for months anyway in short summary how do I color the right way like I guess I know skin tones but anything else goes wrong and the other summary is how do you draw clothing because I can't for the life of me get clothing right

don't worry - it's normal to get frustrated when drawing. i know i've literally quit and deleted entire illustrations in the past because i didn't like how the colors came out, and i can spend whole hours just choosing base colors TwT i think the important part about learning art is not to rush. i'm seriously flattered you see me as inspiration, but what worked best for me back when i heavily referenced other artists was "mixing" styles together to create a "new" one - so i'd recommend studying and copying multiple artists you like and trying to blend their styles into one if that makes sense! ^^

hating color picking is completely normal when you're first starting out, and even late into art like i said before - i've been making original digital art on ibispaint for about 5 years now, and it's still difficult. but it's easy to make it fun, and the best way to do that imo is to experiment! i'd recommend studying color theory on a larger scale, and understanding how certain colors might look completely different based on where you put them. or maybe make an illustration and color it in a bunch of alternative ways! also, having "bad" or "awful" color skills starting out is OK - i still think my colors suck sometimes even now lol.

anyway, the best way for me to color pick is to just use that color for whatever the OG artist used for their art. let's use alex ahad as an example because i find his art and color use super interesting -

i don't usually color pick, but when i do, i typically start with picking the eye color. then, based off of the eye color, i chose a base color based on the character's color pallete (easier of the eye color is already close to the main color of the character, which for clyde is turquoise).

then, i pick more colors directly from the reference, for stuff like skin. at this point i have a good idea of the colors i want to use and stop color picking from the ref, but there's no shame if you still feel you need to.

after that, based on the colors i picked, i'll color in the rest of the piece. i usually end up changing the colors that i did take from the reference due to experimenting - for me, i just use color picking as a sort of stepping stone for when i'm not sure how to color a piece the exact way i want.

eventually, you can learn to color pick by eye rather than with the picking tool in your art program, tho that takes a lot of knowledge on color theory.

really there is no "right" way to color, especially for skin imo - don't limit yourself to just peach, tan and brown. clyde's skin is bright white, but i still used a yellowy color here because it was relative to the other colors in the piece. i've also used "alien" tones for human-toned characters in the past before!

and about clothing folds - i can make a full post on that if anybody else is interested OuO

Overlord

Okayyyy, i know Overlord has like always been coo-coo but, i generally feel like if he had an S/O he'd attempte to like take it down a tiny bit. Not to much tho, he still has things he's gotta do.

He wouldn't want you to be apart of anything that has to do with killing or the decepitcons. He actually attempts to keep it this way.

If he can't then he just won't care, as long as youre not in danger on purpose. Get in a situation where you know you shouldn't be and he WILL NOT help you out of it.

If he can help you, he probably will make it seem like he won't and take his sweet ass time to do it. Maybe might get you to beg for him to save you. He's fucking crazy and would do it no questions asked.

I have this like idea, that since his human S/O is so small, he would just hold you in his servos. Lifting you up to places you find interesting and so you can see what he sees.

Since he also shows you what he see he talks to you about certain things, explaings who different cons are and why he(which turns into we) doesn't like them. It's kinda like when someone shows their S/O a reality tv show and is explaining people and lore to them. It's cute, he finds it cute that even in your small state you attempt to give advice and help him in situations.

He's ncie to you, but has a slight sarcastic tone and attitude at times, but its just his normal tone. He can sometimes be super mean, but its very rare he is mean towards you, since he mostly directs it towards Cons or Bots.

He doesn't have anything special about him while in a relationship, he's just kinda there. I can't even say he would attempt to take care of you, because he just doesn't. He spend time with you and trys his best to take you everywhere with him, he cares about you like a little bit. Ask him and he'll say no he doesn't but that simply beccause its Overlord we are talking about.

He just likes having you around, a constant in his crazy coo-coo ass life, and to be honest that the only thing he'd ask for. The rest of his time in the galaxy could just be spent with you, if he didn't have a raging ego and wasn't crazy ass shit, anyways I love Overlord and so should you :)

Trepan

Im going to be real with you guys, he's also fucking crazy. he kidna gives off vibes of keeping his S/O down in his secret ass lab. Just because down there he knows where you are, can make sure you're at least a room or two over from him is he feels off.

I feel like he would try to keep your knowledge of what he does to a minimum. He simply does not want you knowing he is a "bad guy" as he thinks you'll put it.

If you don't care and he allows you to know, he'd be straight up with you, answering any questions you have about his work and why he does it.

He's not mean, he can be a little condescending but other than that he will let you know how he feels. I feel like he enjoys quality time too, so if he can't do something during an experiment or whatever, he'll go looking for you just so he can be in your presence. Either askig you what you think or just quitely doing somehting or watching you do whatever. If not this then his idea of idea of time together is you sitting watching him work on some poor Cybertronian, while he tells you what is happening andd going on. This is only if you show intrest in what he does, if not then uhhh he just sits in a room with you talking or listening to you.

I feel like he's the type to lie if he thinks its better for you, ask about why the autobots are bad and he'll make something up. He WILL lie if it means keeping you with him or on his side, but you don't need to know that

I also want to say that a relationship is nothing special, but I'd be lying, and my names not Trepan. He's kinda controling, never letting you talk to other Cons or Bots that show up asking for him, keeps you hiden away from the rest of the planet or galaxy, simply because he likes you. HE GIVES YANDERE VIBES, i feel like that's what he would do. I was like this bitch is crazy, and it lowkey feels like something a lot of people like in some characters. He CAN and WILL be a Yandere if he feels its nessecary, but if it can all be fixed with a few lies and a nice little kiss then he'll go that route. He doesn't want to scare you off, he just wants you to know he loves you, very dearly.

general thoughts on the wk “our blue and green world” special (for funsies)

they had me in the beginning, by the end they completely lost me tho lolol

!! SPOILER WARNING FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN’T SEEN THE EPISODE YET !!

things i liked:

the intro was!! very good!! loved how they started in space and then gradually zoomed into earth, that was really fun :D

always excited to see how the background of the final shot changes in these specials !!

right away i am so glad they finally color corrected everything i couldn’t stand how bright everything was in season 6 T_T

chris being able to just effortlessly fold his t-shirts into a stack made me laugh lol

i don’t care if anyone says the song sounded flat as hell. the disbelief i had when it first came on. “what is this music what is goin- IS THIS A SONG??” the pure, unadulterated joy i experienced from it. it may be cringe but it has set me free.

idk. i’m just glad to see all these characters back after the hiatus :D

i think ever since i’ve gotten past the age of. elementary school. martin’s nicknames for animals have been kind of hit-or-miss for me? (though it might just depend on who’s writing the script i dunno) but i liked kablooey!! (kabluey?) it’s a very cute name :D

zach remembered that he has hacker bots he can use (which are. arguably his best invention?? i’m pretty sure?? i get why they don’t use them every single time zach shows up bc that would get old quickly but it establishes that despite being a whiny man-child who couldn’t tell a walrus from a wombat or a wallaby, he can still be a threat to the wk team)

and everyone’s been talking about that so um. let me throw my hat into the ring then.

i can see the intention behind trying to redeem paisley, but it just. doesn’t really match with what’s been established by her character?

the entire special hit me with subsequent punches of “wow this is a kid’s show and i am NOT the target demographic” when they were talking about the water cycle and explaining global warming. so it makes sense, in a sort of wish-fulfillment kind of way that they’d try and redeem the villain whose goal is arguably the most realistic out of the main four.

zach’s main gimmick is using wild animals for his own technology. donita uses wild animals for fashion. gourmand cooks and eats wild animals. yes, the latter two can and do happen in real life (not… really sure about zach’s but that’s not the point). but paisley’s gimmick was never about harming animals, but destroying the environment they live in, in order to build things for humans instead. she’s the kind of person who you’d most likely encounter in real life. redeeming paisley has nothing to do with her character (a businesswoman who finds nature “yucky” as seen in the spirit bear and Asian elephant episodes), instead her general gimmick. wouldn’t it be nice if we could get the people destroying animals’ homes to truly see how beautiful nature can be? so much so that they stop trying to destroy it and instead attempt to help preserve it?

(this is just a personal nitpick but paisley’s new design absolutely is NOT working for me srry)

after i watched the special i had some ideas abt how it potentially could have gone instead?:

don’t redeem paisley at all: again, i get the general idea of why they did this but also. it doesn’t?? line up with her character at all?? the way she was acting in the beginning was fine and perfectly in character for her. she just wants nature out of the way in order to complete her plans, and she has no time for zach being overly concerned with the wild kratts. you could argue that her knowing that dolphins and whales weren’t fish but mammals was foreshadowing to her redemption, but like… paisley’s not dumb?? donita has also corrected zach on not knowing his animals in the past so unless you’re also going to argue for a possible donita redemption in the future then. yeah. i dunno. the other villains didn’t need a redemption to make the special they were in interesting, i don’t see how this one should be any different.

another redemption fake-out, but do it much earlier in the story: i have. my own gripes about how the plot of this special went but we’ll save that for later. have paisley initially be dismissive of the wild kratts’s presence, but once she learns that the kratt brothers are arguing and that aviva, koki, and jimmy are spending all of their time trying to get them to make up, pounce on that opportunity. have her go all over-the-top (like she did in her canon redemption) and trick the wild kratts into thinking she’s turned good, only for her to turn on them in the second half. this might be too similar to “a creature christmas” though. this one would take up more of the plot if that’s any consolation?

give a hint to a paisley redemption arc, but don’t make her do a complete 180 right away: if they’re adamant on redeeming paisley (again, i see the general idea behind this gimmick-wise), then they could still do it and make it fit with her character. remember that paisley’s intentions are not to harm animals, but their environment (which is not any better, making that clear). she can still have her awed-by-coral moment, but maybe. tone it down?? she can have second thoughts about going with the plan, but have zach or rex* encourage her to continue. she steels her resolve, but remembers the coral, and hesitates. and the kratt brothers use that last-minute hesitation to defeat zach’s zachbots and paisley’s pavers. have paisley question why she couldn’t go through with it as she and zach leave madagascar. you could have aviva or one of the other wild kratts theorize that paisley has started to have a change of heart after seeing what nature is capable of, if left to thrive. but again: don’t redeem her right away. hint at it, and then explore it whenever she appears as the main antagonist in an episode of season 7.

*i’m admittedly not caught up on all of wk, but like. did paisley fire rex or something. WHERE WAS HE THIS ENTIRE SPECIAL??

as for the plot point of the kratt brothers fighting… yeah that definitely could have gone better.

(again, minor nitpick but jimmy saying that this was the first time he’s seen the brothers fight,, then implied that it happened every single laundry day,, but also he’s definitely seen them fight before? or had disagreements at least?? isn’t that the premise of at least two different episodes not counting this special. this script is also Not My Favorite. not sure how to explain it but some of the dialogue seems a little awkward?)

ik that the brothers get into danger 24/7 but i feel like. martin should be a little bit concerned that chris was getting squeezed to death by a green anaconda?? like you don’t have to make him overtly worried to the point of apologizing, but you could at least. make him look at chris with concern? i get that the point is that “oh no the brothers are fighting so they won’t help each other when one’s in danger” but. martin your brother is dying STOP SMILING NONCHALANTLY.

the resolution between the brothers was. kind of rushed? all it took was chris complimenting martin (“nice one, bro!”) and then activating some creature powers and then everything was fine. is. is that all it took?

just my personal preference but i think i would have preferred it if we spent more time with the brothers solo (martin at sea and chris in the rainforest) and have them come to their realizations that the planet needs both blues and greens to thrive separately. like martin sees the planktonic soup and acknowledges that the creatures who live in the ocean need a little green to survive. or chris sees how important rivers are in the amazon and remembers how the rivers will eventually flow into the ocean. and both of the brothers remember their adventures with each other (or aviva, koki, and jimmy remind them). they can still be stubborn and not forgive each other, but i’d like them to at least like. acknowledge each other’s pov and respect it.

or: do something with aviva trying to program two creature power suits at once (the brothers are both in madagascar at this point). like, what if there was a creature power suit malfunction where martin is a blue whale at first, but then turns into an indri. and chris starts our as an indri but then his suit malfunctions and he becomes a blue whale. the bros swap places, with martin going on land and chris going to sea, and then they realize that the other had a point - the land is home to so many wonderful creatures and so are the oceans. and how both are connected and make the earth their home. boom, reconciliation.

also another personal preference thing, i really wish they spent more time with kablooey/kabluey and mambiky (?). i’m here for cool creatures and i wanna see more of the cool creatures !! is that so much to ask for !!

also also. i think the indri-conda was born bc someone saw the pun potential and to that i say. no comment.

i still have. a lot of thoughts but i think i’ll just leave it there for now. ik i criticized it a lot but i did genuinely enjoy the special :D i’m happy to have the brothers back from hiatus and can’t wait to watch the other episodes !!

I think I can imagine what the platonic love languages of each bot from team prime would be; (without watching the show /hj)

Optimus: his love language would probably be Acts of Service, like he would sometimes make his team mates their morning energon just how they like it when he's the first one up. or maybe words of affirmation, just expressing his feelings through words.

Ratchet: his would definitely be Words of Affirmation, I don't really think that Acts of Service/Gifting and physical touch and quality time would suit him best tbh. If he thinks one of his teammates did a good job, he'd tell them that, straight forward.

Bumblebee: with your head canon bout him being crafty from being a repair bot, I'd say his would be Gift Giving. he creates things he'd think his teammates would enjoy; like giving bulkhead paints and custom paint brushes for him to use. he's observant and therefore knows what aspects to think of and include in his gifts

Bulkhead: my best guess for him is that his would be Quality Time, this stems from the fact he's very close with his family back on cybertron, I'm not sure if this is canon or not but let's just say it's a head canon if it's not. so, he'd see what he can do to spend time individually or as a group with the others. he makes sures that they do something that bot will like or something that fits them all.

Prowl: with how stand offish he seems to be, I'd think that he would use words of affirmation (like ratchet) to express his gratitude towards his teammates. and if he got close to one, then it would switch to physical touch. he would give a small touch on the arm or even a hug if the situation calls for it. hell, maybe even a handshake idk much about physical touch in general lmao. but he would show his affection through carefully chosen words.

awwh that is cute.

Yeah Optimus would defo be doing that as his love language; You want something but you don't have money? Bam, now you have like 3 of that thing. He has quite a lot of savings from the time he was still a high-ranking Prime and not a repair bot. Although i think Bee would be the first one to wake up and make the oil for everyone, Bossbot is free to buy any treats and stuff for everyone tho.

Ratchet is defo more straight forward; if you did something stupid or need affirmation/comfort, he'll straight up tell you. No need to waste time dancing around the topic. He's surprisingly good at comfort, even if he's grumpy all the time, if the situation needs it, he will show his soft-caring side.

Bumblebee is defo one for physical contact, he'll give out hugs like candy on halloween. He's not very good at comfort via words so it's the least he can do. He's also keen on giving gifts, be it servo-made or bought. He's not as good as Bulkhead at painting but he has some talent- on their 1st christmas he painted a picture of Team Prime+Sari with a word "Family". That painting is still hanging of the wall in the main room.

Bulkhead is all about spending time with the ones he cares about. While he's shy with strangers, he's pretty open with stuff with his friends. That being said, he will occasionally throw a compliment or two. If you've earned it, you might even get a cool painting.

Prowl is the secluded type, not really good at socializing. What he is good at tho is being an unpaid therapist listening to his friend's troubles and helping them emotionally/mentally. He'll tell you how he sees you in all honesty and comfort you with words. If you have a problem or need to vent, Prowl is the bot to go to. Once he gets comfortable enough with someone, he will offer a hug or a shoulder to lean on.

In addition: Sari would be about gift giving and physical affection, similar to Bee. She'll coax her dad or any other empoyee taking care of her atm and get stuff for her beloved robots. She'll hang out and give hugs to anyone feeling down.

First impression

"wow, the artists really are pushing the proportions on these character designs, huh?" -my thoughts when reading for the first time

no seriously his waist is smaller than his head. why do you have a waist so small? for other bots to grab? (yes) (five husbands)

actually seriously tho mtmte was such an intricate fast-paced colorful blur on the first read that I didn't really notice him in particular until issues #14-#16 where I uh. started paying attention. for obvious reasons.

no on subsequent reads I definitely started liking him even more. the happiest scenes are when he's fully just some guy, like in the bar talking with swerve about nightmare fuel or trying to guess people from their transformation noises. he's also really good at his job!! (not just mnemosurgery, but forensics in general!) and sorry rodimus, but I would invite him along just for his dry wit.

I thought for a long time about this one and I think there's just too many to choose from. but if I had to give one off the dome, (ha), maybe that little moment at the beginning of the time travel arc where he's talking to rewind and defending brainstorm. because yeah! he's his friend! and he likes to think he's good at reading people.

Idea for a story

hm. maybe a post canon / au situation where they're still on the lost light and he joins a dedicated forensics team. because I think it would be good for him to feel useful after giving up mnemosurgery

I could say rewind or brainstorm, but I'm gonna go the other direction. I'm gonna say rodimus. because rewind is right, he is an enabler. actually it's worse than that, since rodimus is not just enabling self destructive behavior but actively initiating it. ordering it, even, as much as anyone on the LL really needs to listen to his orders. (sorry roddy buddy.)

no but I think about this so much. because we remember a few times in canon where rodimus orders a crew member to shoot another. and it's often the same pattern: "shoot them!" "do I shoot to kill?" "yes!" "uh... are you sure??" "okay just incapacitate them." and in these cases rodimus is asking a crew member to harm (or kill) a crew member.

but with CD, rodimus is asking him to hurt himself for the betterment of the crew. usually for the reason that having the information in a dead or unconscious person's head might tilt the balance toward their survival. so in these times, when rodimus says "hurt somebody! (yourself)" there's nobody to say "are you sure?"

(granted, CD does usually say something like "this could kill me" but I don't count it because he's bent on self destruction and he's already got his needles out. I'm sure rodimus brushes it off as that "dry wit.")

Favorite headcanon

idk where this one came from. I think it's a pretty common fanon interpretation. but I love love love the idea that brainstorm made CD's needles. the drama. the angst. I live for it. it just makes sense too! they're both incredibly skilled in their fields and I think having them overlap in this way is incredibly satisfying. (heartbreaking. gut-wrenching.)

i’m not sure how you feel about toxic arteta hcs or whatever but…

you know how arteta is doing his little rescue thing with players? taking almost-failed worship kid martin and making him captain? bring in chelsea-rejects jorgi and kai and turning them into integral midfield players? that’s all well and good on the pitch, but off the pitch? what if he revels in the knowledge that he’s taken these players and “resurrected” them? what if he gets off on the fact that he’s taken their tattered careers in his hands and seen them back to near perfection. what if they worship him and devote themselves to him because of that?

and what happens when one of those rescue players (ramsdale) finds themselves being rejected by the one who saved them and try to do anything and give themselves entirely to gain mikel’s favour again?

Hello, I have more Earthspark theories and observations! Spoilers for episodes 11-18 and welcome under the cut!

Observation about Grimlock!

I noticed that despite being controlled by Mandroid's device, he was holding back against Bumblebee! It's especially noticeable when you see him more actively chasing and firing at Terrans (he doesn't know them, makes sense) or how controlled Hashtag was acting!

In fact, we can see Grimlock shaking and hesitating to attack when Bee was talking to him. Even after he bit Bee's arm, he still didn't even aiming at Bee with fire, even tho Bumblebee was right in front of him!

( Note: idk why, but I suddenly remember the moment from Norse mythology, when Fenrir bites Tyr's hand! Sure gods wanted to chain him, but Tyr was the one who raised him. Bee must be really good with dinobots, maybe one of few friends they have and Grimlock was forced to hurt him. Gosh I can't wait for new episodes to see all the drama!)

No wonder Grim went into rage mode after the device was removed from him. To express all this shit he went through while being controlled. He needs a hug!

A little theory about Bee and GHOST.

I keep thinking about how it's so strange that Schloder was on Bumblebee's trail. Bee was supposed to be dead to GHOST, and even with energon suppressor, they still were after him! Did someone among bots spilled the beans about Bee?

Or Schloder really saw a yellow car appearing in races ( which tbh is still very far-fetched bc yellow cars aren't rarity ahah) and he decided to catch Bee in all costs during all 15 years? Schloder, as silly as he is, was pretty angry at Bumblebee for "deserting Autobots" and he was talking about Bee like he's some kind-of-evil mastermind who takes advantage of good people like Maltos?

What happened? Did Bee accidentally did something to upset Schloder? Or his sister told him some gross lies about Bumblebee being dangerous to humans? So intriguing!

Another thing that bothers me, that yeah, Optimus is absent right now, which is already sus. The only thing we saw is him sending Bumblebee to find Grimlock according to Bee. And Bee said that Optimus got a tip... from who exactly?

Also, why Optimus would send Bumblebee, who's primary role is scouting and espionage, into basically fight-to-death gladiator matches??? Cmon, there are plenty bots who are stronger and more fit to this mission in hiding I'm sure, so why Bee?

Of course, it can be that Bee was tasked to find Grim, and like Bee he is, decided to prove himself and enter the brawls. And sure, he can fight and even win despite being weak he is. Anways, very curious too!

(UPD: Actually to think about it, I won't surprised if Bee went to brawls himself instead of calling for help bc he might feeling guilty for blowing his cover? So risking his life would be his way to make thing right in a way ( like in old comics when blamed himself for letting Ravage escape on his watch and de decided to capture him solo while Optimus is sulking with self-doubt... only to fall into Decepticon trap. Because he didn't see how exactly Bee is doing yet, only knowing he's sad he can't go home.)

I'm getting the impression that GHOST is after Bee, either to catch him, or even get him killed. But why? During trailer I thought that maybe it was to do with AllSpark bc he was carrying it, but we saw Bee quickly passed it to Op and Megs and it was send back to Cybertron. Yet it feels like Croft has some agenda against Bee in particular. Very curious!

Can't wait for new episodes!

(UPD: maybe Croft got a wind that Optimus wants to make a third cybertronian faction outside of her influence ( which the end of ep 10 gave this idea), and I guess they seen that Bee, while inexperienced, still have some leadership traits and she def doesn't want that. esp if Bee is good with humans as well. this will suck for her… unless she get rid of Bee first)

Warnings: A tiny bit of angst, self-hate and cheating? Not Soundwave tho

Your pedes were slung over the edge of the Nemesis, dangling them and feeling the wind rush through your struts, blowing your sadness away.

It's been a few months ever since Oracle arrived on Earth, and ever since that cycle you knew for a fact that her lover was smitten with the new femme.

You kept your emotions in a bottle inside of you, working harder and better than ever in order to try to win his spark back.

Emphasis on try.

You banished the negative thoughts and focused on the night sky.

You admired the way the constellations were the same as Cybertron on Earth. It reminded you of home, the place that you grew up in, and also helped destroy.

You laughed at the irony of it. Here you were, reminiscing at the old days back at Cybertron, where the only challenge you had was finding new tricks to manipulate the ignorant senators.

One might ask, "If you missed your planet so much, why destroy it in the first place?"

Young, innocent love.

Well, maybe not so innocent.

You scowled at the thought. Picking up a stray rock, you threw it towards the sky and watched it sink into the clouds, just like the love you had.

Sinking.

It was stupid, really, to believe in a love with a warlord. A madmech no less.

You couldn't exactly blame the others for not knowing your sadness, seeing that the entire relationship was kept under the covers.

Just how did you fall in love with him? Love at first sight, you supposed.

But you can't blame anyone for this other than yourself. You had it coming, you again supposed.

But he was just so...

Alluring.

Yes, that's the word.

He was strong, powerful and had an ambition, much similar to yourself. You remembered clearly what happened that day.

The two of you were friends at the time, with him attending every one of your court debates and discussions with the senators, and you attending every one of his speeches and gladiator fights.

And that was when you met Soundwave, your closest and most trusted friend to date.

The sleek, black and quick Decepticon that had femmes falling for him helms over pedes left and right with his "strong and silent" charm.

No one could blame the femmes, seeing that he had a smooth and velvety voice that was able to make the coldest of all bots fall for him. You were the only one that remained indifferent to his charms.

The two of you immediately clicked as friends, and from that day on no one saw one without the other, be it having fun outside, going to the training centre or even at work, which was convenient seeing that Soundwave was also a senator.

You remembered that femmes would follow the both of you and send you glares that could have offlined you then and there.

You remember the seriousness that you had in you when you confronted him about it.

"Soundwave, we need to talk."

"Hm?"

"I think there are bots stalking you."

He burst into laughter at that, and his laughter made it even more fun for some reason.

You might have had a small crush on him at some point, but it ended pretty quickly after realising that if others found out you liked him it would be the end of yourself.

When did you start to like him? Perhaps after the stalking talk? Or was it the way that he was so perfect? It was so long ago that you forgot.

The difference between Soundwave and Megatron was that you knew you could always count on Soundwave to be there on time, to be able to listen and just generally be there for you, whilst with Megatron it felt more like...

Mutual liking, but not fully trusting the other as much as you and Soundwave trusted each other.

You didn't have to be shy in front of Soundwave. Sure, you blushed once or twice when he complimented you with his smooth talking, but he was the one that usually ended up like Red Energon.

If you had looked a little closer, you would've noticed the sadness in his eyes when you accepted Megatron's confession to you after becoming champion of the ring.

If you had looked a little closer, just a little closer, you would've noticed that the person meant for you was not Megatron, but somebot else.

But it was kind of hard to with sadness clouding your processor.

You felt something wet slide off your optics, and raising your servos, you wiped the stray tear away.

"Such weak emotions. What would Lord Megatron think of me if he saw me like this?"

A Decepticon was supposed to be strong. Cold, heartless and unforgiving.

You laughed bitterly at the tears now streaming down your faceplates. You might as well join the Autobots and cry with them, you thought.

The moment you admitted to your sadness, the waterworks came. You buried your faceplate in your servos and started to rock back and forth.

You were stupid to believe in something as fleeting as love. You should have known that he was going to replace you once you had served your purpose.

You were a tool from the very start. Useless, annoying and a waste of time. A mere puppet on strings. To think that you were once the puppet master.

You were too naïve. No wonder he looked down on you. You supposed that everyone else on the ship did too, even though they laughed and smiled when you were around.

After all, who would know faking emotions better than you did?

You were gasping as if Primus had clasped his servo around your windpipe. You assumed that this was the sensation that humans described as "suffocating".

You hated it. Honestly. It made you feel weak, feel vulnerable. It made you feel alive.

And you hated it.

You had tried to push away your emotions for so long. You would've gone with reprogramming yourself like how Shockwave did to himself, but you've heard of thousands of stories where the reprogramming went wrong. And those stories weren't told by themselves.

Tears cascaded down your faceplates as you sobbed into the night. You haven't felt so much sadness, so much pent-up anger, so much pain in ages.

It was refreshing and tiring at the same time, given that you haven't cried in such a long time.

You heard the doors swish open and the familiar pair of pedes walking towards where you were.

Quiet, subtle but still there if you listen closely, unlike the loud stomps that you've grown used to in the presence of Megatron.

You tried in vain to wipe the tears that had no intention of stopping for you. You then decided to just sit there and pretend that everything was fine.

It worked for about 2 nanokliks.

You hugged your knees and stared at the nothingness below. A spindly digit reached out and tilted your faceplates so that they could get a clear view of you.

You averted their stare and looked away in shame. It would be a miracle if you managed to not offline out of embarrassment. You felt the tears rushing up again.

Long and lean arms hugged your petite frame, and it took about 0.1 nanokliks to break down in their arms.

Unlike Megatron, Soundwave didn't ask what was wrong. He just sat there and hugged you, giving you all the time that you needed.

You clasped onto him as if he was on life support, not daring to let go, as if you would fall into an endless abyss if you did. He reached up again and patted your back, successfully soothing you and calming you down.

"Feeling better?" He asked softly after you calmed down. You were pleasantly shocked at hearing his voice, even more shocked at the fact it was still as smooth and velvety as you remembered.

You could only nod.

"What happened?"

"Megatron..." You whispered, not quite wanting to talk about the details and subconsciously burying your faceplates in his shoulder pads. Besides, you were pretty sure that he already knew what you were talking about.

He was silent for a few nanokliks, then muttered, "You can do better..."

You didn't say anything, still not daring to let go. It's been ages since the two of you had time alone together, not being bothered or rushing to go anywhere so you took that advantage and basked in the comfortable silence.

"Can you sing for me?" You croaked, not sure if he was going to push you off the Nemesis or not.

If you were looking at him, you would've seen the smile on his faceplates.

"My heart's a stereo,

"It beats for you, so listen close"

"Hear my thoughts in every note"

You couldn't help but gasp. After all those vorns, his voice hasn't changed at all even with the lack of use for so long.

He chuckled and asked, "So do you want me to sing or not?"

You nodded again.

"Make me your radio,"

"And turn me up when you feel low,"

"This melody was meant for you,"

"So sing along, to my stereo."

You couldn't help but laugh. "After all these vorns, you still sing the same old song."

"It's the one I know the best," He said, shrugging.

“Yet you only know the chorus."

"Um- That's not important."

You giggled. You missed this part of him a lot, something that you don't get to see every cycle.

He couldn't help but smile. How could he not smile when seeing the femme he loved the most laugh because of him?

"Do you ever think the war would end?" You asked, gazing at the night sky.

"Yes. It has to." Soundwave replied, gazing at the brightest star in front of him.

"I want to go home. I'm sick of running from the Autobots 24/7." You muttered. "I want to see my family online. I want to see the senators for frag's sake."

"Y/N. Y/N. Look at me." He said looking into my optics, dead serious.

"We're going to go back to Cybertron, online, and you will see your family. I promise."

You smiled a bittersweet smile.

"Even if we go back, we'll be fugitives." You muttered, tracing your own cables. "It might be better here."

"Then we'll go on the run together. Don't you remember what we swore to each other when we joined factions?"

"Together, forever, no matter where."

You laughed and lay on your back, gesturing Soundwave to do the same.

"Look up at the sky, Soundwave," You said, using your digit to lift his chin up so that he could see the night sky.

"Can you see that star?" You asked, pointing at one of the gazillion stars in the sky.

"Mhm," Soundwave said, clearly not seeing it. "Remind me, which star out of the bazillion were you talking about again?"

You rolled your optics. "That one," You said, pointing your digit in the direction that you were talking about.

"See that star? The one that has light pulsing in and out?"

"Yeah," He said, finally able to locate the star she was talking about. It was familiar, but he couldn't place his digit on which planet it was. An exoplanet?

"That's Cybertron. The pulsing light is Primus' sparkbeat. As long as Cybertron's still alive, we'll go back." You said, gazing at the impressive star.

"We'll go back." He repeated, believing in his own words.

"Promise me that you won't leave me. Not like... him." You said, trailing off. "Promise me you won't be like him."

He took off his visor and set it aside, revealing the violet optics that were emblazoned into your processor the day that you saw them.

He raised a thin digit and lifted your helm. He did this all slowly, as if afraid that you'd push him away or tell him to stop.

You didn't.

He leaned in, and that was when you discovered how it felt to have clouds on your lips.

His lips were... soft. Very soft, and they differed and suited his voice at the same time.

You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him in, deepening your kiss.

"I promise, Y/N." He whispered after pulling away, the promise that will go on forever.

there used to not be an image limit before, causing a few- interesting posts… tho that changed a few years ago and recently, at first the limit being 10 images per post to now 30 images per post (you can also move the images around a bit)

if you plan on staying long term on tumblr and use desktop the most, i recommend getting the browser extensions Xkit &/or New Xkit cuz… yeah, tumblr is pretty nice, but it sometimes gets hard to use. it also adds extra useful things to the tumblr experience, which is nice to have. i'd say tumblr is like living in a cheap apartment in a calm area of the city. the place's great for what it is, just gotta be sure to leave rat traps near holes and dont worry about the Beast down the hall,

speaking of rats, we got an infestation. you may or may not have heard of it with the voter fraudage going with the polls a bit ago; since tumblr has little to No email verification, people outside tumblr buy bots to get in here and start posting malicious links. tho the bots are surprisingly easy to identify (often times blank blogs with very weird descriptions + stolen picture of lady or ai generated. you'll know it when you see it), and the protocol here is block and report spam so staff can deal with it

and btw if you want to keep a post for as long as your blog stands, i recommend rebloggin! thanks to how tumblr is build as, even if the original post or that blog is gone, the reblog will stay with you (+ tags on reblogs dont really make a post expand outside of your own blog, so many use this to create Very intricate personal tag systems to make easier finding posts, bc once a blog gets 1k+ post in it, it gets hard finding anything on it... <- knows this from experience u.u)

oh and last thing before i go again (and something i found out recently), another browser extension ive been loving: Stylus! with it you can customize a ton of sites to your liking And with a specific style found in the archive of this extension, you can change how the dashboard looks! even changing the background to any image you might want :D

Okay, i know i’ll explore more of this but i want to hear your thoughts on this too.

Femme frame bumblebee? He’s still a mech but he’s definitely built with the aft and curves of a femme and even has heel struts instead of regular pedes. He knows he’s built and his frame compliments his doorwings.

He usually wears a bulky over armor but it gets damaged in battle and breaks off revealing him in the heat of a battle that just stops?

His teams reaction?

Blitzwings reaction?

Before or after they start dating. If after blitzwing didn’t know b/c bee has trauma.

oooh i get it, like @toxxicpill design. I always imagined him a little feminine, just more blocky instead of smooth curves.

hmm, i mean, sure he would be a bit curvy, the doorwings are a nice touch for him cough happy flutters cough cough. I am a little disappointed that they decided to gender the robots but eh, 2000's cartoons i guess.

He is a bit curvy on top of the blocky frame, the heeled pedes are not uncommon, i mean Prowl has these- he kinda looks like Elita overall, his subspace is moved down to cover his aft in this since he has doorwings (yes it does look like earth bumblebee's abdonmen). Yes, he does wear additional armor to apprear more bulky over his chassis and shoulders, he doesn't like how everyone kept staring at his chassis. I always imagine Bee and Prowl are almost the same height, only that Prowl is few inches taller and way slimmer than Bee (I mean, he is a motorbike. They are rather small, even when compared to tiny cars). So without the top armor, Bee is almost half the width he was.

I imagine the only one who'll know is Ratchet. I mean, he fixes Bee all the time and there is no way he wouldn't know that the upper part of Bee's armor is not his original frame. Ratchet is a medic, he's not gonna judge anyone- well, unless you say or do something stupid. Then he's gonna judge you all he wants.

So yeh, bots and cons fight over Allspark shard- idk, maybe some stray blaster shot hits him on the chassis and the thing breaks, it's not completely broken but heavily damaged. Now, this is a battlefield. I don't think anyone would stop to look at Bee's badongahonkas, especially when there's such an important item involved.

After that, sure the team is surprised that Bee's frame is actually different from what they see so often but nobody hates him for it. They're not homo/trans/any lgbt+-phobic. And they don't have genders in the first place, everyone chooses how they want to portray themselves.

When his additional armor is being fixed, there's not much of a change. Sure, others throw glances at him more often but nothing else- the only one to have a visible reaction would be Optimus. Bee already reminded him of Elita when he met him, and seeing Bee look even more like Elita is weird, if it isn't raising some questions... he almost slips and calls him Elita.

Sari thinks Bee looks pretty, and may or may not be trying to get him more armor pieces like that so he can be a full-blown knight.

The repair was quick so no Elite Guard reaction- but if they were to witness this, Sentinel would be the first afthole to stare at Bee's chassis as if to take that armor off with his processor power. Jettwins and Jazz would have respect and try to keep SP away from the young bot- as they always do, just this time the reason is different. They all have no idea how Sentinel can be so awful and still keep his job...

Now you want Blitzy's reaction, alright.

That stray blaster shot might have been his and he struck Bee on accident. He does catch a quick look at Bee's slim frame before his team calls on retreat. If they weren't dating then he would be a little bit pervy in his mind, he wouldn't bring it up with the scout tho, he's not sexist.

If they were dating, he would wonder why Bee didn't tell him. He asks about it the next meeting they have- Bee's armor has been fixed by then. Sure enough, Bee confesses that he was forged a femme but decided to be a He. He wears additional armor because he didn't have credits for changing his frame type and had enough of other bots calling him and grabbing him rudely. Wasp was one of those bots, he harrased Bee with no mercy until Longarm saved him.

Blitz feels both sorry and hella ANGY. How could anyone treat his precious hummel like that?! And they say Decepticons are evil- if anyone is racist, sexist and disrespectful about such basic things as appearance and behavior, it's the Autobots. The 'cons murder everyone equally, not just the "freaks".

Once Bee gains enough confidence then he'd show Blitzwing his real frame. And Blitzwing will have some pervy thoughts he'd keep to himself only. He loves Bee, and seeing him even smaller than how he was already is adorable. Blitz is the only one that Bee lets grab him like that. And Blitzwing can't help but admit his hummel's chassis is a great pillow.
