I've been compleatly OBSSESED with neon void so far!!! It's by far my favorite fic of any I've read!! After every chapter I have to take a second to do the happy stimmies because you write all of the scenes so well. Whenever I see a new update I clear the next hour for reading it and the subsequent geek out sesion for how AMAZING it always is. You write extremely well, you convey the characters so acurately, the fight scenes are creative, the way you write Leo's perspective is AMAZING, love the font changes, the angst PALPABLE, and just over all I love everything you're able to do with this concept. The way you can see Leo's mental state deteriorating through out the fic is just *chefs kiss*. There's so much I love about the fic that I can't possibly list everything.

Also the established difference between teleporting and portaling is so great, it adds to the pure panic that void causes for the boys aside from, y'know, crazy dude capable of beating Big Mama within an inch of her life and STRAIGHT UP OFFING a buch of other yokai. It does wonders for establishing him as a threat even though he technically isn't for the turtles. Plus I'm sure that once they find out who Void really is, it will add a bunch of tension since they'll need to stop Leo from literally SCATTERING HIS ATOMS ACROSS SPACE.

AND THE CHAPTER PREVIEW ISTG I've never gotten so much serotonin from being in this much pain ;0; The gif is perfect to set the mood, I can't wait to see what happens. You're ablility to choose just the right thing to stab so many people directly through the heart is nothing short of super-natural. BUT PLEASE give the boi some happiness, if not for his sake, for mine-

ANYWAYS this is all a VERY long way of saying, I absolutely love this and I had to draw the silly boi being the silly boi. I needed to draw him happy for the health of my heart ;-; (don't worry though, I'm working on some tasty angst right now)

Something i really, REALLY loved about Rise was the fights. Not only was the animation amazing, but it was always so creative. I try my best to make the fight scenes as silly as the boys can be, while utilizing their adaptive skills to use their surroundings to their advantage.

And bruh trying to balance Leo’s insanity in a believable way has been such a (fun) challenge so it makes me so happy to hear you like it 😭🥺 and I’m so glad people seem to like the ‘teleportation’ gimmick I’ve got going on (and that it hopefully makes sense omg)

Ah! I'm so sorry for taking so long to reply to this, some mental and physical health stopped me from doing much as of late. But I'm getting to it now and seriously thank you so much for asking!!!! I love getting to talk about my silly farmer guy :D(and don't worry, he/him is great for him, but like myself they/them can also work but he/him mainly)

Wolfe is, of course, based a little on myself, but I'm trying to differentiate him from myself a bit more every now and then. One of the things that I based on me that I'm always keeping is that he frequently wears tinted glasses. This is due to photophobia, or light sensitivity, I think it's just a fun little thing to share with him :) Also just wearing glasses in general (I've also entered my cowboy hat era in game, yeehaw)

As for more things about Wolfe himself, he's a pretty chill guy despite being anxious as hell. He was almost a marine biologist, but dropped out before getting his degree due to stress and money, so getting his grandpa's farm was a great way for him to basically try again with it all. Because of this he takes any time to fish and tell other towns people about fish.

A more recent thing that kind of happened by chance, I decided his hair is just green now :]. This happened because two things, one, I like to change up his appearance in game and art depending on how I'm feeling at the time, but this time I just wanted to keep it green but shorter, and two(more of the reason), I play with a mod to replace the baby sprites ingame with different ones with pallets to match other characters in game, so I randomized it for both(scrolled through options randomly) and got Harvey for Rosemary but Caroline for their second kid Finn. So with that, Wolfe now has permanently green hair because of his constant usage of magic and maybe over exposure to green rain haha. One day he will become green Wizard.

favorite thing about them: god how to choose. i love how contradictory he is. i love how much he blends into the background and has a net zero relevance on the game's story, and yet he sticks out like a sore thumb, both thematically and tonally. the judgement spiel makes him the direct deliverer of a core game mechanic, and yet he's... such an outsider about it. i love how morally grey he is. a resonance hybrid between a painfully selfless good man and a self serving bastard. he's the depressed nihilistic man. he is his girlfriend's manic pixie dream girl. he is just some guy. he is the last barrier against universal annihilation. he serves cunt (but only once). he parallels flowey in his refusal to engage the narrative, but whereas the narrative starts orbiting flowey instead, sans condems himself as the audience to the player's actions. #finalgirl. also it's still a theory, but if the otherworld stuff is ever confirmed ingame that will make him the most video game character of all fucking time. hands down. no competitors.

Kind of, yes? Ever since I really thought of him as a comfort, I’ve absolutely headcanonned him to be intersex to some degree. I don’t really know why, it just feels right.

So Dave was born an XY Intersex, looking pretty androgynous, being both treated as a boy and a girl depending on the person. As he grew his hair out, he primarily was treated as female (nobody ever cared to ask his name so they couldn’t tell). Turns out, even though he was fine with being treated as female overall, he got a lot of gender euphoria from being referred to as male. But he lived from ages 6-17 being primarily treated as female. Techincally, biologically, he leaned towards the female sex in anatomy anyways, so it got harder to tell past puberty.

After he met Henry, he confessed his dissatisfaction with being female. Henry, being who he was, used this as both blackmail and a carrot on a stick. Using the idea of top + bottom surgery was something Dave had never even dreamed of (and at the time this sort of thing was VERY uncommon, and Dave never thought of it). At some point, Dave did something good enough, or had some kind of breakdown, or even both, that ended up making Henry actually commit to doing it. After that, DSaF canon follows up until the comic starts.

I’ve had SO MUCH brainrot over this, and I thought it’d be worth making Dave more funky than he already is. I love drawing top surgery scars (it’s a comfort thing), so I just kinda went ‘screw it’ and added them. Later I wanted to add lore, and I thought that there wasn’t enough intersex rep, and I wanted to try my hand! I tried to do as much research as I can in the subject, to make it accurate :) Open to correction though! Basically the man is VERY gender apathetic but liked being a dude the most. He got insecure about his female body :( So like yeah just very funky silly weird :D I love him

TL;DR: He is/was a biologically leaning female (XY) intersex individual with a personal male lean. Was treated like a girl until he met Henry who gave him gender reassignment surgery.]
