ok so FIRST this does not make sense just on the face of it. Half their crew is dead, and they just moved to a MUCH bigger ship. There are other cabins around you know. But Black Sails doesn't care about things like that, it's fine, moving right along.

This man was JUST almost deposed as captain. When he was reinstated barely more than half of the crew voted for him. Sleeping in a room with a bunch of people who wanted to hang you three days ago seems... like a poor choice. Is he completely 100% sure nobody on the vanguard would have opposed him? Then why would he need to win their favor? Is he just not going to sleep? Does he think he's so intimidating no one would even try?? Because you're setting up the ideal situation for letting somebody get away with it. I get that they basically just needed a logistical excuse to have those last couple lines spoken, but I've been doing confused dog head tilt about this for like two years.

Updates!!

Well, the (first) Fun/Fictional Rock Tournament has ended, and our winner is..........THE ROCK VERSION OF EVELYN WANG IN EVERYTHING, EVERYWHERE, ALL AT ONCE!! Sokka may have taken down the tungsten cube with his meteorite sword, but in the end, he fell to Evelyn in one of the most emotional and moving (at least to me) scenes in that whole beautiful movie.

Second update: I've been slacking on the mineral polls! Changing your anxiety medication, dropping out of your current grad program to apply for another one and also looking for jobs to do in the meantime is uhhhh stressful? But fear not, the mineral poll will resume TOMORROW! Feel free to yell at me if I don't post them :)

Third update that isn't actually an update: Seriously, submit more things to the second fun/fictional/just plain funky rock tournament! Tell your friends to fill it out. Ask your parents for suggestions. Every suggestion so far is a fantastic one and I love reading them so far. Here is the link.
