Listen to me look me directly in the eyes. Sol Badguy is such a fucking engineer. Okay? Our whole job is to do a shit ton of work to make an extremely lazy solution. We optimize once so the next 20 times we have to do the same task it's easy as shit. Sol has an engineers spirit. He can and will work extremely hard to make something (suppressor, WMD, bike) so he can be lazy about the Problem in the future.
I think he's a MechE kind of guy. He feels like someone who would be really into structures and materials and maybe statics? I think he would like controls too. Though that is definitely me projecting because I think controls is really interesting
It's eternally a little funny whenever I see someone say something along the lines of 'everyone in Strive is so happy now! Everyone's stories are getting resolved! It'll be hard to make a new game when everyone's retired and living peacefully and resolved their problems' and then there's a haunted semi-sentient mecha corpse in the corner constantly screaming from being trapped in limbo
a piece for the wonderful @bcbdrums and the much deserved praise for "Ascent"!
"Nobody's gonna hit your head
Nobody's gonna wish you're dead
Somebody's gonna make it alright
Nobody's gonna knock you down
Nobody's gonna shush your mouth
Somebody's gonna turn on the lights
Nobody's gonna slap your hand
'Cause nobody's any better of a man
Nobody's really got it right
Nobody's ever good enough
Everybody's just covering up
Fumbling around for the lights
Don't you give up here, remember they're just fears
They live between your ears, it's only a nightmare
When the shadows creep at night
There are no monsters here tonight..."
Something spiritual happened to me watching this scene. Something spiritual is happening to me with this entire series. I find it so telling that so many eyes are on the story of One Piece given where we are socially and historically. Given everything going on in the world, all the hearts that are breaking so that they may open, all the voices that are collectively calling for liberation, courage and compassion. Luffy and the Straw Hats could not BE more relevant. I think we are very lucky to have stories like this right now.
