This deeply disturbing children’s publication was created by COG-TFI and was required reading for children across COG-TFI. It taught children that illnesses and accidents are punishments from God for disobedience or spiritual failings and compared these events to being spanked. It explicitly promoted the idea that children are to blame for the illnesses and accidents that befall them.

Thus, when injured or sick, children in the cult were typically ordered to “pray about it”, ask God how they had transgressed against the cult’s teachings, and repent in order to be healed. This emotional abuse inflicted anxiety and false guilt upon children in COG-TFI, as they were blamed while suffering from untreated sickness or injury. The publication also depicts a child forcibly disrobed and in a humiliating position while being spanked, a form of abuse that was universal to children in the cult, and this image added to the shame that innocent children suffered while being sick or injured and being denied medical care.

For those that think no one will know the games they play behind closed doors - spirit will always usher a way to show what is truth and those that have been abused - mentally and emotionally and spiritually so that you have no life beyond them - will always be shown;

For those in such circles, and when your circle is only you and God, you know in your heart and how your life feels light or dramatic around certain people - you know, and your dreams, your guides, and those truly know who is causing the background poverty or illness and confusion and imbalance that those who are not now awakened can bring balance and inner power, inner truth and story - can protect and hold your own, stand in your truth -

Misogyny, imbalance, disenfranchisement of any minority - the abuse of discrimination and such selfish people that have such lack of self, and such disregard - to want others to stay in their turmoil rather than healing it - the wounds ripple to all in the family;

you know those that are simply words and not vibration and claim themselves as saintly and community serviced and yet they are the holders of all dark magic, lies, deceit, and have no idea how and what they are and simply want to bring their illnesses to you - without care of your own free will, independence, health, or rights

It is a mess and for years and years this has been my life -

I know who I am and I will not sit down - I know who is causing the issues and know that the authorities are watching you all - so even your deceit and over years - the masks and proof will be known -

Truth is a vibration and Spirit will assure what and who is brought to justice; and how you have all laughed and thinking you have control and a leg up - selfish and greedy, insecure and co-dependent and why you are blocked and why spirit will assure all will be known- truth is -

Selfish and how many times I have said - what you do affects the children - and I say - how can you sleep at night -

Just in case anyone needs to hear it in plain terms:

If you came out/got outed to your religious family and were met with any sort of dismissive, violent, manipulative, or harsh reaction: that is SPIRITUAL AND EMOTIONAL ABUSE.

If these are people you love and had a good relationship with before you came out/were outed, they are still capable of emotional/spiritual abuse. GOOD PEOPLE DO SHITTY THINGS EVERY DAY.

If your relationships with your church/religious people were damaged and you feel a sense of loss: You had something TAKEN from you. You did not do anything to deserve this loss.

It is OKAY to be queer and still have a relationship with god/a higher being/a religious community.

You are valid, and not one goddamn thing about you is "wrong." PERIOD

It is okay to be PROUD of who you are, no matter how quietly.

You are LOVED.

God’s Name in Vain?

I grew up my whole life as a preacher’s kid and God was used to keep me in submission. God is a control tactic.  If God is real, then he is no good just sitting back while weak men terrorize their victims for their inferior gain.  IF God is is real, perhaps he is the actual devil and the real satanism is hidden in christianity and all of it’s various sections.  

I can see now how the bible has been the foundation of sexist brainwashing in our society.  The veil is lifting more and more.

The Family International cult (previously known as the Children of God) has attempted to whitewash their image as a happy Christian fellowship spreading God's love across the globe. Nothing could be further from the truth, as this brave survivor’s story demonstrates.

Music With Meaning (MWM) was a radio and television show created by the cult in the 1980’s. It generated significant revenue for the cult with its cheerful Christian children singing songs about faith and love. However, away from the public eye, MWM was rife with sexual and other abuse against minors, all in the name of the cult’s twisted interpretation of love (for more details see Music With Meaning - XFamily - Children of God).

This brave survivor shares her story of contracting a herpes infection in her eye whilst living in the MWM compound at only four years old. As a result of the abuse and medical neglect this survivor experienced, she has been left with lifelong vision loss.

The story must be told.

Hello. I’d like to use this space to share my story. I invite you along to bare witness. I’ve wrestled with how to do this so hang with me as I’m using this forum experimentally.  

Our stories are sacred.The way in which we share our stories matter. Stories have power. And with this story, in particular, I feel a sense of responsibility in how this story is told because this story has power. Power to destroy and power to heal. We need both but in precise ways.

It’s my hope that sharing my story will help others who have perhaps experienced their own version of having something taken from them or having been manipulated, particularly in God’s name, and thus lost their own sense of divine identity. I hope that in examining our stories we’ll uncover the threads that lead to abuse of power. I hope we’ll uncover strategies that help build resilience so instead of continuing to pass down the hurt to future generations we pass down strength and safety.

So I invite you, reader, on this journey with me. I don’t know where it will lead but I’m going to bravely follow the urging to use my voice and share my story.
