Fright night 2 (1988)-

So fright night 2 is great y’all are just mean. >:(.

Honestly it is a different kind of movie then what the first film was. It seams to go faster and almost all over the place. But it does succeed in being a good time and a fun story. Let’s get my nit picks and problems out of the way first

Charley is kind of wishy washy? Like one minute therapy makes him completely no longer believe. Then he does. Then he doesn’t then he does then he doesn’t. The charley Brewster I know would not be so easily doped by there being no marks.

They change the lore a bit? With Ed and Amy the transformation into a vampire was sort of instantaneous. They were bit and left alone for a few hours and could fully vamp out, now in the second it’s saying the “have to drink blood rule” I can’t speak for Ed but I know Amy definitely didn’t.

Peter Vincent is also a bit all over the place. Unlike charely he is completely firm in his belief the whole movie. However his logic seams to have left him entirely. I adore him being more spunky and excited as he can flock around claiming to kill a actual vampire etc but to peter’s credit I don’t think he’d rave like a mad man about them actually existing in the way he does in the movie

No evil Ed. That’s it. That’s the criticism. The last movie left open the perfect spot for him to make a comeback and he doesn’t. Smh

When the fuck- I read Dracula and when the ever living hell is roses a thing against werewolves or vampires? (Placing a rose on a coffin maybe but????)

Now to the good stuff -

Gays going to brunch

Honestly I kinda like the idea of “Jerry’s sister is pissed now your going to have to deal with her” also the “he was so young he was only 1,000” thing dhsksksksk. Also the ultimate revenge is making Charley immortal which props 👌 he’ll be a tragic louis type. However.... he’d also be there to annoy you forever, bad choice. I also refuse to believe anyone would replace a classic horror host with a weird ass interpretive dance.

Bowling-

I’m serious that becomes a theme in this movie it’s such a fucking random joke that happens twice and it’s just great lmao. 1st time charley looks very Risky business . The second time Belle, Bozworth and Louie take it over and honestly watching them do everything but bowl correctly is peak humor.

Influence-

This movie came out in 1988 and I can’t help but feel it was very heavily influenced by The lost boys and near dark that came out the year before.

Charley’s whole “what’s happening to me deal?” And the sunglasses , very Michael

Louie doing the blood from the vein into the mug thing from fright night.

Etc , idk if this is just my brain assuming as those two and. The og fright nigh5 are some of my favorite movies

I have two questions however

- is Louie a werewolf or does he just partically like to do the wolf thing- I’m assuming the second is the case?

-Is Belle trans or just a drag queen? I can’t tell with her, doesn’t help with no lines either. I’m sure this info is somewhere

Like, I tried to release her several days ago, between cold snaps, and last night she showed up like "Yeah, no. It was more comfortable with you. It's warm and all my meals are catered!"

So, today has been interesting. I went out to just do a few things, and I ended up picking up a stray kitten. I took her to the vet to make sure I bring her home around my other cats. Poor little thing has been hurt! The vet said it looks like her tail might be broken at the base, but she wouldn’t let him look at it well. When he tried, she’d bite him. She also ducks when you raise your hand or move too fast as if she’s been hit. Poor baby!

Her name is Spunky Brewster, and I’ll post pictures as soon as I can get her to stay still long enough. Right now, she’s just adjusting to the new home and her new family.

My Far Cry 5 OC:  NAME: Dakota Barnes

NICKNAME:  Kota by family, Spunky Brewster by Sharky, and Bruiser by the Whitetail Militia

AGE:  28

MORALITY: chaotic good

BACKGROUND: Grew up on the Crow Indian Reservation in Southern Montana. Dad was a bit of an asshole and mom left when she was kid. Kota was very close with her older brother, Wyatt, who taught her to fish, hunt, and live off the land. He shielded her from a lot of their father’s worst traits. Wyatt joined the army when he was 18, leaving Kota to face her father on her own--she mainly coped by spending weeks camping out in the surrounding mountains, showing up to school every day smelling like rain and the outdoors. 

Wyatt eventually became an Army Ranger. He sent Kota a copy of the Army Ranger Handbook, which she studied religiously, learning the survival tactics that would eventually save her life in Hope County.

Upon finishing high school, Kota won a scholarship to the University of Montana, where she earned a degree in Forestry, which she used to become a Park Ranger at Glacier National Park. One of her fellow Rangers, an old Army vet, helped hone her marksmanship abilities.

Suffering the untreated effects of PTSD after multiple tours in the Korengal Valley, Wyatt killed himself when Kota was 25 years old. This sent her into a tailspin, eventually quitting her job and hiking the Montana wilderness for a few years, before eventually returning to civilization and securing a job as Junior Deputy.

1 Day ‘Til the Season 2 Premiere!

(Totally not listening to Les Mis right now just kidding I totally am)

And finally, on my countdown, I’ve reached my favorite moments of:

S01E23: “The Shadow War!”

Broken into two parts, “The Night of De Spell!” and “Day of the Ducks!”

First things first, the boys being all triplet-like is great.

And Louie was extra cute.

It was mostly the family stuff that got me in this episode, though.

Someone asked Frank Angones on his Tumblr if there will ever be non-related adoptive father figures in the show, and Frank said they were working on something. I wonder if that something is Scrooge adopting Lena? You know, once they figure out how to make her all... not a shadow. I bet Louie wouldn’t like that at all. XD A daughter could displace nieces and nephews as heirs!

Anyway, theorizing aside, let’s move back to the cuteness.

I loved seeing Donald step up and lead his boys in forgiveness. He’d been so busy raising the boys the last ten years, he probably never had much of a chance to sit and reflect on how the loss of Della (and the boys, and him) could have affected Scrooge. Mrs. Beakley’s method may have been too manipulative for my liking, but it did give Donald the perspective he needed... as well as the boys.

This was such a big moment for Dewey. I wish he could have finished his speech, but ya know... Magica shooting spells everywhere and all that. It wasn’t the right time for hugs and making up.

Guys, this was a moment that will go down in Disney history: Della Duck’s first line in (and real appearance in) animation.

Has anyone else been watching a BUNCH of Paget Brewster clips and trying to imagine Della speaking with her voice? She has a lovely voice - perfect for Della. She can sound so spunky and fiery and sassy sometimes, but then other times she can sound so sweet and gentle and sad and it works. It so works.  Oh and she can sing. I want her to sing or hum to her babies. <3 <3 <3 

I hope there’s some mention of her in the premiere, or a short clip showing us she’s now trying to make contact. Something. Anything. I’ve waited so very impatiently for new information. lol
