We found this amazing collection of books from 1945 about historical fashion second hand for super cheap! It's illustrated, in color, and in excellent condition, I'm over the moon 🥰 also the antique book fair is back in the city and we can't wait to go visit, I'll probably go next week so I'll share more later! although I really need to stop getting books, I've been out of bookshelf space for months now and they already took over half of the dinning table 😆

This little shop in the photos is where we get spices and dried fruit and it's very pretty so I thought I would share

Today we went out for sushi to one of our favourite places! It's venezuelan-japanese fusion and it's so so good, the drink is papelon con limon and I highly recommend it!

And last are these amazing thrift finds!! The skirt and sweater are perfect aaaaa I'm going to style so many autumn outfits soon after the weird heat wave passes, I can't wait!!

On a more depressing note, yesterday was my father's first birthday since his death a couple of months ago, and I also saw his tomb for the first time, my aunt sent me a picture at the graveyard and it's such a strange sight, seeing his name on a cross on the ground feels unreal. I try not to think about it too much, it's like if I stop running or look back it will catch up with me. We lit a candle last night with Nicolas and talked about him, it's getting easier to remember the good over the bad with time so I'm happy about that 😊

You’re one of my favorite blogs. I read your tags. And I don’t know if you know this but you do have a tendency to Go Off (affectionate) in the tags. Of course I picked up on your love of sushi. My favorite is usually anything tempura fried. Gotta get that Crunch. I think on the surface caterpillar rolls are the most trans coded based on name alone. Something something metamorphosis.

OH! caterpillar rolls i have not tried 👀 i am a big sushi fan but there really are not many sushi places where i live so i also spend a lot of time just staring enviously at pictures on the internet. (i also just 🥰 have terrible taste. like really bad gjdhfjdj) you’re so right though!! caterpillar rolls look cool and they also remind me of what my parents call my “Austim Birthday Cake.”

because this is the only cake in the world that i like so when i was a kid my parents used to absolutely lose the plot trying to secure one for my birthday. anything else i would look at and go 🙄 ‘uhm. this isn’t a caterpillar.’ it is actually the best cake in the world it’s chocolate swiss roll with a hard chocolate coating and knockoff chocolates on top and a GIANT face made of fondant 🥳 truly caterpillar things are the MOST

#my favourite sushi in the world is the california roll from my local place that had crab meat and avocado and tobiko #and then i carry it home like baby in my arms and put a ton (a metric fucktonne) of sriracha and other hot sauce on top #and then 😌 because i’m like this i then put it in the freezer for twenty minutes but i’m right for that #i also like anything with tuna. sadly mayo and me do not get on so i have to stay away from anything with that in #but yeah my dad thinks it’s hilarious that i will eat literally anything out of the ocean #but won’t touch steak or pork or lamb or duck with a ten-foot pole #i can’t help being right ig 🥰 #ty for the ask i am smiling rn which is. a gift 😌 #ask #sushiiiiiiiiiuu

I got to spend the last 11 days with my girlfriend. It's been long-distance for a year+ and we finally met. It is the happiest I've been in years.

#love is extremely rare and difficult for me #I don't think I can effectively convey how important that is to me... #for how rare it is for me to feel these feelings... how much that means for me and how important that feeling is... #and how important that person is to me... #I'm ace and demiromantic and it's so rare and scary for me #being able to see them meant everything to me #we kissed in the airport #we fell asleep together #we watched shows together #I cooked some lunches and dinners for us #they showed me their sketchbooks and I cried #I held them while I was falling asleep and heard their heartbeat and thought ''this is the most important heartbeat in the world'' #I cried a lot (from overwhelming emotions because I love them) #we watched their favourite anime (we've been watching it together for a while) and we got to a very emotional part and I cried more #we went to the mall #I bought them dinner and gifts #I gave them stickers #we ordered Taco Baco #they kissed me #I kissed them a lot #they painted my nails #I watched them play a video game #we watched Ponyo (it was their first time seeing a Ghibli movie) #they tried sushi for the first time bc I suggested it #I got to watch them draw so much #watching them draw is almost my favourite activity #my favourite activity is talking w/ them #I love her more than anything #I mean that as sincerely and emphatically and importantly and openly-emotionally as I can say anything #⭐
