Thinking about how shocking it was for me to see people in Tokyo leave their stuff in their bike baskets while they went into a shop, or leave their phones on tables in crowded restaurants, just the complete understanding that this is fine and no one will take it. Meanwhile if my bag isn't within my eyesight at all times I will have 6 stress dreams in a row. Once on a train from London to Glasgow I left a bottle of something at my seat and came back to find a man lifting it up as I came back through the carriage door. I said "nice try" and he just crawled sheepishly back to his seat.

i think evan rosier (known control freak who is weird about his own physicality) CANNOT tolerate having a cold. whenever he comes down with anything, he regains control over the situation by passing the germs on to barty. evan puts barty on his knees, and fingers open his mouth, and spits on his tongue when he's at his most contagious (evan, the healer, would know). barty swallows nicely, and smiles, and thinks it's the hottest thing anyone's ever done to him.

this way evan feels less helpless when he lets barty dote on him— barty's already started sniffling & coughing when he brings evan his tissues, crackers, blankets— and evan knows it will only be a week until their positions are reversed. he thinks about his germs inside his boyfriend's body, weakening it for him. he thinks about how helpless barty will look in the sickbed, all while he curls up in his arms.

Not only has 666 become like my favorite fanfic series ever, but it’s helped me learn so much about my own asexuality. Every time you release a new chapter I realize another things about myself and how alastor and I are scarily similar in this. It’s helped me feel kind of seen with me constantly being torn in how I feel about things. I feel less weird and more able to talk about it y’know? The way you write it just clicks for me. You genuinely have made such an impact in how I view sex and myself and I know you’re just like a random person online but thank you so much for your writing 💪

Aw, I'm so glad to hear that! A lot of the process of writing 666 has been similarly an exploration of the various concepts in it for me, so I'm really happy that the topic of aroace sexuality not only feels genuine but also relatable in it. It's kinda funny, because obviously the characters involved are, like, deranged little freaks, but it's because they're deranged little freaks that I'm having so much fun freely writing whatever I want with them, which turned out to leak into feeling very free to write about the aroace aspects as well! Hard to feel self-conscious about writing an ace character when he's also out here, like, eating human flesh and getting electrocuted near to death for the kicks. And all jokes about that aside, the actual acts might be insane, but the underlying emotions are genuine.
