It’s taking a lot of effort to not block anyone tagging my art as q slur.
It sounds like a lot of you might might need to learn some queer history. Which is fine - there is no shame in learning our history. We don’t get taught it- you have to go and specifically look for it.
It’s also important to note- Every single lgbtqia+ community label has been thrown back at us as slur. There isn’t a single one that homophobic, transphobic people haven’t used in a derogatory way. If we collectively decided to call ourselves Humans as our only lgbtqia+ label - no doubt there would be hateful people screaming back at us. Those types of people hate us - and no matter how sanitized, and pure - and free from any stigma you present your queer self - they will still hate us.
Queer was strategically chosen as an umbrella term during the protests in the late 1980 & 90s. If you’re not aware of the AIDS crisis- please learn about it. It was brutal -and the disgusting response from the government, conservatives, religious extremists was - they were happy that it was happening. They let hundreds of thousands of queer people die because they thought we deserved it. It was a truly horrific medical emergency that was purposefully ignored for many years.
So “We’re here, we’re queer, we’re not going to disappear.” became one of the slogans people would yell during marches and protests.
Queer was chosen because it wasn’t sterilized, sanitized, it wasn’t an assimilated, quiet version of being lgbtqia+. It was fucking in your face queer.
You couldn’t ignore it- we weren’t going to hide away in shame, or keep things wrapped up in secret like previous generations. Homophobic , transphobic people had to deal with the fact that queer people existed- and would always exist & there was nothing they could do or say to change that.
Because that’s exactly what they wanted. They wanted assimilation, or total nonexistence of all queer people. And unfortunately they still do.
Which is why seeing “the q slur” is so messed up. It’s giving that sanitized, reagan administration evangelical morality - homophobic, transphobic people everything they had hoped for. A fear based response of - if I make make myself as palatable as possible will you finally respect me?

It frustrates me whenever people hear conservatives say "Gay/Trans/Queer people will confuse children" and then show kids accepting queer people as a 'gotcha'. That's not what they mean.
To a conservative, 'confusing children' means:
"Children might mistakenly believe being queer isn't bad"
"Children might get the idea in their heads that gender is a construct and not an innate immutable fact"
"Children might be tricked into having empathy and understanding for others"
"Children might be led to believe that being queer is an option for them"
"Children might be fed the lie that their religion- or worse, their parents- can be wrong"
Conservative parents believe they own their children, and any attempts at free thought past the status quo they've been taught is a rebellion. Rebellion must be quashed, but beyond that, rebellious thoughts must have been learned from someone beyond them. That's one reason they're cracking down on queer media in schools and pushing for homeschooling. They don't want their kids to be "confused" into rejecting their brainwashing.

•I am QUEER. I respect if you do not wish to be referred to in that way or don't feel comfortable with the word, but I will not tag anything with "q slur." My identity will not be censored.
•On that note, I will often reblog or post with (reclaimed) slurs that will probably not be tagged. If that triggers you or otherwise makes you uncomfortable, it's best not to follow me.
•A DNI list obviously cannot stop you from interacting with me, but if you're a jerk to me and my friends or your blog makes me uncomfortable, I will block you. Don't take it personally unless I tell you outright to get bent. With that being said I do not care if you post NSFW because that's none of my business.
•I am often wrong about things! Please please PLEASE correct me if I end up posting or reblogging misinformation!
•I am pretty inconsistent with tagging triggers and I apologize! Let me know if I miss something but refer to the first two bullet points beforehand. I'm not tagging anything about my personal identity as a trigger warning.
•Don't tag me in discourse that I'm not already involved in to see what I think about something. Odds are I do have an opinion, I'm just opting to not share it at that time.

an intro post- why? because I feel like it, that's why :)
I have many, many names I go by- some popular options are Asterisk (usually shortened to Ask in tags), Anx, Plague (which most people know me by), Foxglove, or Void! Or you could just make up a nickname for me, chances are I'll probably like it :)
I'm a Queer Minor who uses Any Pronouns (get wild with it!), and while I don't really have a set DNI, any bigots, TERFs, etc. will be blocked- also, please don't tag my stuff with things like 'q slur'/'tw queer'/etc., it's really annoying. This is intended as a safe space for all races, genders, sexualities, and ages (18+ blogs are tolerated, just know that I and many of the followers of this blog are minors and/or sex-repulsed. I'm not going to block you for, say, reblogging an ask game, just be careful that nobody under your age range decides to check your blog out)
I try my best to tag all my ask games by theme (ex. 'pink themed'), type (ex. 'colorblock asks'), and trigger warnings (ex. 'tw emojis'), and I also try to tag all of my non-ask game content as well (ex. 'op speaks,' 'ask answers an ask!!!,' etc.)!
Speaking of ask games, I am happy to answer any ask games I reblog! The only ones I won't do are fandom-related ones, just because I try to keep my ramblings about fictional characters to my main blog :)

About Me & The Blog!
Hi! My name is Misha (he/him). I’m a queer Russian artist and writer [art & writing tag: #misha’s creative stuff; original characters/stories tag: #misha’s original stuff]. Born in February 10, 2004. I’m also an atheist and likely neurodivergent.
I also like The Owl House. I have an AU [tag: #retired leaders au]! It’s focused on Belos, Steven (the AU version of Steve), Hunter and Kiki, aka the Wolf Fam, and they’re the characters with the most significant changes. More info about the AU can be found under the #rlau info tag. It’s a good uncle AU btw.
Small summary: The Day of Unity turned out to be a massive disaster, and once Belos finally returned from being stuck in the Human Realm with Hunter and the Hexsquad, he publicly admitted to his lies and resigned. The other highest ranking members of the EC - Hunter, Steven and Kiki - left with him, hence the AU’s name, and the Empire dissolved.

I have a positivity tag: “#positivity”, and I’ll link it here if you wanna scroll through it.
I’m not really into n$fw content, but some (mostly mild) stuff might show up, mainly in text form or character dialogue. I tag non graphic/less graphic stuff with “#cw: suggestive”, and more graphic stuff with “#nsft stuff”, though I’m not 100% sure on where the line is for me.
(I also try to tag triggers, generally with “#cw: [thing]”, like “cw: flashing” or “cw: blood”, and some are censored like “cw: sui mention” and “cw: sa mention”. If there’s anything you’d like me to tag, send me an ask)
A few more things, in no particular order:
Do not repost/reupload people’s art without permission. If you like an artist’s work and want to have it on your blog, press the “reblog” button (the recycle looking button). If you want to share it on a different platform, just don’t, unless the artist gives you permission. Or just post a link to the work instead of the work itself!
And stop with the “idk who made it, I found it on Google” bs - don’t post the work you found, and if you want to share it, do reverse image search and find the author and share their work the proper way instead of stealing. Have the bare minimum of respect for the creator.
“Do not repost” also applies to downloading someone’s work, tracing or editing it, and then posting that version. It’s fine to trace art as a form of study/learning, but only if you either keep it to yourself and don’t post it, or you get the artist’s permission to post the traced/edited version.
Please tag your ships when you post content with them. It helps people who like it find it, and helps people who dislike it avoid it by filtering the tag. This includes “OC x canon” stuff (tag the specific OC/ship btw, not just “OC x canon”), “s3lf insert x canon”, and I’d say especially “x read3r”, or frankly, any kind of read3r insert stuff, even if it’s not ship.
Pr0shippers will get blocked. “Pr0shippers/anti-antis/c0mship/pr0fic” or whatever you call yourselves, get out. If you treat p3do and inc3st relationships as some kind of “cute/fun tropes”, or you willingly associate with people who do, I want nothing to do with you. This includes people who ship distant relatives (you are still shipping relatives and doing so knowingly)
No, this does not mean I’m some kind of puritan who doesn’t want dark topics to ever be touched on in media, it just means I think they shouldn’t be watered down into a “cute/fun trope” and should be approached with sensitivity.
If you’re an exclusionist, you’re not welcome here. This includes people who tag “queer” as “q slur”, as well as label and pronoun policers. There will be people whose identities you don’t understand, and that’s fine, leave them alone. Stop doing our oppressors’ work for them. Queer discourse also comes and goes every few months and it’s always the same “trust me bro my exclusionism is totally legit this time bro this group of queer people is totally evil and harmful bro just trust me”
“Tme/tma” (transmisogyny exempt/affected), are meaningless labels that do nothing but cause infighting within the trans community about who has it “worse”, or who has “privilege”, when no one does. A violent anti-trans bigot is not going to ask your pronouns before assaulting you if they perceive you as trans (or any kind of queer). Drop the labels if you use them. Also read this post by an intersex person.
If you attack people for criticizing cops, billionaires, large corporations, etc, gtfo. Go lick those boots elsewhere.
Russia/Putin stans/apologists are also not welcome here. Same for those who are “neutral” or think that “both sides are bad” (no they are not). And if you’re one of those people who act like Ukraine has no autonomy and is only resisting because the West is pushing it to do so, sincerely, go fuck yourself.
That’s about it I think. Though remember that you won’t fully know all of my beliefs from a couple sentences or even a couple paragraphs.
(Edit: For TOH fans, filter “#huntl0w negative” if you don’t like seeing negativity towards the ship. I try not to mention it much, but occasionally I voice or reblog criticisms of the writing (it’s pretty bad if it’s meant to be romantic), and some behavior from particularly aggressive fans. You can call me Gold, or Semper/Semp. I use he/him, they/them, ey/em, and it/its pronouns with no particular preference for one over the other. hello! i'm loop, and as someone with extremely sensitive eyes who has a problem with a lot of pride flags due to that, i've decided to make a blog dedicated to toning down pride flags upon request or just on a personal whim.
here are a few ground rules:
unless it is literal pedophilia, a troll (bad faith [slur]gender identities or likewise), or has bigoted connotations, i will do flags for any queer identities. it's not my job to gatekeep good faith queer identities.
i do not care for flag discourse (there are better things to worry about than colors), but there are certain flags i prefer not to do for personal reasons.
there's no such thing as a pride flag that is eye-pleasing to everyone. some of us need colors to be lightened, some of us need warmer colors used, some of us need colors to be darkened. when i tone down a flag, it probably won't meet everyone's needs, but i am more than willing to make more than one version of a toned down flag to meet varying needs.
if you see your flag here and you'd like it taken down, then you can ask.
while credit is appreciated, it isn't necessary <3

personal opinion but:
queer people can not like rainbow capitalism. we have every right to.
every post I see about ‘oh well it’s better than how it used to be’ and ‘it’s better than nothing’ makes me ever so slightly pissed because yes, maybe it’s better, maybe it’s good enough for you, but the queer community shouldn’t reach the level of being sold as products as the peak of representation
yes I am glad that it’s better, I’m glad that young kids will see more rainbows and it’s more normalized now, but just because you’ve been given a step above where you used to be doesnt mean you can’t complain about how you’re still not treated as equal as others are
so be mad. you can remember how bad it’s been, be grateful for not having to go through such, and then pick up your pitchforks and protest for better treatment

on the “q slur:” i’ll do my best to tag is as “#q //” that’s q, two slashes. keep in mind i identify with that word, strongly. if it angers you that i would dare use a “"slur”“ to label myself or whatever, remember “gay” has seen just as much use as a slur. i grew up in the american south, i’ve heard both words used for the same harmful reasons. sorry if this comes off as angry or petty, but if you were continually told that “gay” is a slur and you shouldn’t use it for yourself, you’d be tired and angry too, wouldn’t you? i’ll do my best to tag for it, but i will die on this hill.

please note that i, the mun, am mentally ill and neurodivergent. in a lot of cases, my muses will share some of my own personal struggles to sort of like. explore these things myself and shit. link in particular shares a lot of my neurodivergencies and chronic pain. shit gets frustrating and sometimes roleplaying a tiny elf twink going thru the same shit helps a bit. u know how it is.
though link may act a bit naive and sometimes even childish, he is still very much an adult. not a “rule” exactly just something to keep in mind.
sorry if some of these seem overly detailed or serious. i’ve been around the block when it comes to rp tumblr i’m just trying to cover all my bases in at least a semi concise manner.
also sorry if any of this comes off as passive aggressive or rude. i can’t parse or regulate tone for shit like in an actual verbal conversation, trying to convey it thru text is damn near impossible for me lmao
