very cool of RTD to make the 60th anniversary so explicitly pro-trans/trans-affirming. not just because it's about fucking time and the Doctor has always been trans-coded, or even because of the beautiful Yasmin Finney (I adored rose so much) - but because Doctor Who is quintessentially British and watched by millions of people in the UK, aka terf Island. the ep would have pissed off transphobes which is always fun, but really I'm overjoyed for all the trans fans who got to see themselves literally be represented as the most powerful beings in the universe BECAUSE of their transness in a foundationally British TV. just beautiful 💙🤍💗

It's always telling that the only time when transandro bros even dain to recognize intracommunity transmisogyny, it's only when they're forced to distance themselves from the rampant transmisogynists in their community whose transmisogyny is so cartoonish it becomes undeniable. And it's only to preserve image and position themselves as the non-reactionary alternative.
They did it when one of their own sent out rapey sexual harassment copypasta anons to trans lesbians. They did this when already infamous "transmisogyny group chat"/"The TMRA Radfems warned you about" faggotwithopinions/transmascpeterwenz treated becoming mutuals with the CEO who permabanned a trans woman for no reason and followed her off-site to violate privacy data protections in order to paint her as a sex pest as Huge Get. They did this when TERFs felt comfortable with their communities transmisogyny to openly talk about how they plan to use transandro bros specifically to drive a wedge in the trans community, something trans andro bros accuse transfeminists of all the time.
And when I say it's only in these cases it is ONLY in these wildly cartoonish scenarios. Back when the "transmisogyny group chat" was still fresh news, something that usually happens when a queer transmisogynist shows their full ass happened. A bunch of TERFs who stalk these discourses because they're obsessed with trans women went into his anons to send the most vile hate they could summon while pretending to be trans women so our abusers have something they can point to to play victim. And all the transandro bros took these ANONYMOUS HATE MESSAGES sending gendered slurs/sexual harassment at FACE VALUE when they said they were coming from trans women. It got so bad that prominent transandro bro GenderKoolaid when "dissecting and analyzing" a cropped screenshot of a post by Predstrogen (you know the trans woman who was later outsted by the CEO himself) made some wild speculation about how an offhand comment about "transfems taking the piss" was a direct joke reveling in this harassment.
And there are still plenty of blatant transmisogynists that are propped up as prominent members of the transandro community because they haven't had their own "Me and CarExplosionsHammer Photomatt are besties!" moment. There's the aforementioned GenderKoolaid who routinely engaged with "critiquing" transfeminists posts out of context behind their back and alongside spacelazarwolf has promoted the kiwifarms style blog transandrophobia-archive.
They harbor loads of ex TERFs. ftmtftm who left a 31 paragraph college dissertation with proper citations carefully explaining why I'm either purposely unintellectual or actually stupid and what I was saying was radfeminism aktually when I was looking through his blog before blocking him I saw 1) him lamenting about feeling abandoned by the radfem community he was apparently raised by and 2) him sighing with fucking "transmisoginy group chat" faggotwithopinions of all people about how "these Actual Transmisogynists™ make it so hard for us Actually Nice TMRAs and we need to put an effort to come across as considerate to their experiences with them when we engage with transfems" acting like they they aren't the very problem they are complaining about.
An out Ex-TERF nothorses is responsible for cultivating the current transandro echo chamber tried to use his influence in the community he helped create to try and redefine TERF to try to allow for the label to paradoxically include trans women. After that he wrote an anti-transfeminist manifesto that "defined" Beaddelism and cited open TERF sources. And this manifesto is still constantly linked by transandro bros whenever someone outside the discourse asks what a beaddel is.
The transmisogyny is so bad in their community but simultaneously is explicitly an outlier and not representative of them. Every prominent member is transmisogynists Georg and should not be counted but only when you can prove he is unequivocally, beyond the shadow of a doubt, transmisogynist. Up until then everything he does is fine until it's not.
To transandro bros "transmisogynistic trans men" is this Mystical Other problem that can only be solved with better PR and is completely unaddressable and says nothing about their community at all. Something that they've wholly separated from themselves that's only addressed in the theoretical until they're forced to confront it because they've fostered it so much it's become too big to ignore.
Like if your truly "one of the good ones" whose "only trying to talk about specific issues trans men face" then ask yourself why you've aligned with an ideology founded directly in opposition to transfeminis?. Why do you stand with a community whose mest well regarded members are also some of the most rampant transmisogynists on this site? Why you are constantly having to do PR work to not be instantly regarded as on the transmisogynists that you're community has become known for?Why you refuse to address the transmisogyny problem so much that out and proud TERFs feel comfortable enough to walk right in and start proposing "AMAB supremacy" theory?
Like I've said before. The disgusting actions and behaviors from the community alone are enough to not regard any "theory" they put forth to excuse it.

I love how a post that was very explicitly promoting the exclusion of trans men from ALL LGBT spaces became an argument where trans men now don't deserve access to any spaces where trans women might be, even if those spaces have resources trans men need. I literally got called a TERF for saying trans men deserve access to spaces that provide services they fucking need like birth control and abortion. I didn't say trans women don't deserve access to those spaces; nope, I said again and again they deserve to be there, and I spoke out against afab only spaces. But god forbid I defend the rights of trans men access to spaces that have resources they need.
Oh yeah, and the overall "reason" is that somehow, the presence of trans men is what's causing transmisogyny in women only spaces.
Seriously.
"Women only" spaces have evolved. They used to be for cis women only. Now they serve cis women, trans women, and trans men. Trans men have to fight to be allowed in spaces like gynecologists offices, yet we have always been present in LGBTQ "women's spaces". We grew up and came out in these communities. Many trans men identified as butch before coming out as trans. These communities provide care for people with our kinds of needs.
If you cut trans men out of these spaces, you cut us off from critical care.
On top of that... when do you kick us out? When we decide we're butch? When we're butch but take T? When we're nonbinary? When we're transmasc but not binary trans men? When we are binary trans men but not on T? When we're binary trans men and on T but haven't had bottom surgery or top surgery?
Where's your fucking line. huh? When is a trans man "too much" of a man?

I've noticed something in the discussion around Gerard Way and trans identity that I am officially fed the fuck up with. While talking about Gerard's outfits from the second leg of the tour, people love to use use the line "clothes ≠ gender" as a gotcha for those of us who are keen to the fact that they aren't cis. This pisses me off for three main reason plus a fourth mini reason that's more of a history blurb than anything else.
Before we start anything, Gerard has been out as not cis for the better part of 8(!) years now. To not acknowledge that is doing them a disservice. Some of you have purposely chosen to ignore that fact. Right out the gate that's fucked up. Ok now we can proceed.
First off, you're right. Clothes do not, in fact, equal gender. I know this, and it sounds like you'd like me to believe that you know this. So forgive me for being a little confused when you go on anon after they're photographed wearing what you dub to be "masculine clothing" (i.e. anything that's not a skirt/dress with heels) and tell me I'm an idiot for implying that they aren't a cisgender man.
Secondly, the concept that clothes don't equal gender in only true to us very recently. If you think that Gerard Way, a 45 year old ex-Catholic Gen-X'er who grew up in an wildly conservative suburb of north New Jersey doesn't have a different relationship between clothing and gender than you, a 14-to-20-something year old who hasn't closed tiktok in three days and averages 0.3 minutes of critical thinking per week, then you're extremely delusional and self-centered. People are socialized in entirely different ways. As humans, our experiences are not in any way universal. What doesn't mean anything to you means everything to someone else. Maybe you don't equate femininity with skirts and dresses, but I guarantee you a 45 year old who has openly struggled with gender identity their entire life does in some capacity. This is not a bad thing.
Thirdly is that in your attempt to sound as woke and morally upright as possible, you're unintentionally (or intentionally, seeing as a considerable number of you are terfs,) discrediting and invalidating the way someone experiences gender euphoria because you personally don't get it. Gerard Way has only ever said "I don't use labels" in response to people implying that they're cishet. If your first reaction to seeing someone who could even potentially identify under the transfem umbrella experiencing visible gender euphoria in a dress is to say "oh well clothes don't equal gender, so I'm going to assume that he's a man in a dress until he explicitly outs himself", then congratulations! You're transphobic. Because that's the thing. When you use the rhetoric of clothes ≠ gender in that context, it becomes crystal clear you don't actually care about trans people. You just want to sound like the smartest person in the room. And you're willing to throw GNC trans people under the bus in order to achieve that goal.
I think people have forgotten big time that "don't assume my gender" originally meant "don't assume I'm cis", because now the way people interpret the rhetoric (don't assume my gender, clothes ≠ gender, I don't use labels, etc.,) and use it to prove a point only use it as if to say "it's inherently wrong and creepy to identify and acknowledge when people aren't cis. Cis is the default and the only safe assumption. Anything else is offensive and crossing a major boundary" and you can tell it's because they view transness as an insult to someone's character. We have to, collectively, stop viewing transness as an allegation you either have to beat or bear with. Alongside that, we have to stop assuming cisness.

dragging the conversation back to earlier: people absolutely start veering towards radfem ideology during situations like this, in no small part because feeling hurt/betrayed/scared are big factors for getting radicalized. i've seen some people in this fandom say they've caught themselves slipping towards radfem rhetoric, and
1) i'm glad some of yall are catching it when it happens,
2) one of the best things you can do to inoculate yourself against that shit is reading up on feminist theory that explicitly includes men in the discussion. you should read bell hooks in general, but for this discussion in particular, "the will to change: men, masculinity, and love" is my top recommendation. black feminism in general has been having this discussion for decades
3) the other best thing you can do is seek out the experiences of marginalized men. listen to trans men, and men of colour, and disabled men, and queer men, and intersex men. remember that gender is not the only part of identity that impacts someone's lived experience. maybe go watch kimberle crenshaw speak about intersectionality to make sure you understand the term as she coined it, not as the internet has bastardized it until we ended up with the fucking blizzard overwatch diversity charts
4) oh yeah, actually go read up on radfem talking points and dogwhistles. not terf (although you should learn those as well), but radfem. most terfs know they aren't gonna get you into the 'trans exclusionary' bit right off the bat, but they can and will get you on the 'radical feminist' bit. dont give them that foot in the door.
4) to paraphrase someone else: every large enough group of women has men in it, and every large enough group of men has women in it, both because of multigender people, and binary trans people (closeted, egg uncracked, etc). if you want to fully, properly keep yourself away from terf and radfem rhetoric, you need to make peace with this.
good read for anyone who was interested in the convo earlier about harmful rhetoric being used by twitter users lately and how to combat it!

I just saw this post and... is this really how many people think? That the transandrophobia movement is associated with terf recruitment?? I'm genuinely asking because i try to stay out of drama and the logic is near incomprehensible to me
damn can this person tell the TERFs in my inbox & notes that they're supposed to love me and never harass me or want me dead??
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's so much wrong with that post, and honestly the claim that TERFs never hate trans men/mascs is, itself, dangerously false.
Like. If that's the case, what the fuck is this then?
Tumblr media
The common argument here is that TERFs must believe trans women are the ones doing the "seducing", but that's patently not true, either: ROGD ("Rapid-Onset Gender Dysphoria) is the idea that trans men "infect" "young girls" with our icky tranny disease, manipulating them into believing they must be trans as well. Abigail Shrier outright states this in Irreversible Damage, and namedrops multiple big-name transmasc YouTubers and public figures as the people responsible for "tricking" "young girls" into believing they're trans.
TERFs don't just want to manipulate us into detransitioning- which is already, by the way, a form of incredible violence- they want us to stop existing. When manipulation fails, they turn to violence: corrective rape is not uncommon, and neither is physical violence. Those of us who can't be "saved" must die, lest we infect anyone else.
Transfems are exactly as capable of being TERFs. Transfems who join that movement are being abused and subject to violence and manipulation; it isn't a good deal for them. It's also not a good deal for transmascs. But yes, both groups are capable of calling themselves TERFs, and finding nominal "acceptance" in the form of TERFs weaponizing them against other trans people- all while pressuring them to detransition.
The reason it happens more often with transmascs is because the way TERFs target us is different, which is itself a manifestation of the difference between transmisogyny and transandrophobia. Transfems are not generally actively sought out the way transmascs who can be "saved" are, but they can, and have, fallen into TERFism regardless.
Anyway. The reason they claim our movement is "associated with ex-TERFs" is because I made a post, like, two years ago talking about how, when I was 16, I found out I was following a TERF on Facebook, immediately blocked her, and self-reflected out of guilt and fear for years afterward.
She hadn't spoken about trans women before; it was only when I brought them up to her that I found out that the "men" she was talking about included trans women.
I brought this up in my post to talk about how TERF ideas often fly under the radar, and to encourage people to reflect on "man bad" ideas; because radical feminism itself is inherently tied to TERFism, and leads into TERF ideology, even if you never think of it as being About Trans Women.
TERFs often recruit through exclusionary and reactionary movements that seem unrelated to trans people, or to trans women specifically. We've seen it with the "ace discourse" most notably, but it's happened before, and it continues to happen now. The pervasive myth that TERFs only hate trans women, and that TERFism is only when feminists hate trans women, is directly beneficial to TERF recruitment.
Recognizing TERF ideology outside of "trans women bad" helps us cut off TERF recruitment before it can actually start. And people like this- who demand we ignore TERF ideas unless they explicitly name trans women- are directly aiding TERF recruitment.

BTW this character's name is the Meep. With the the included, just like the Doctor. The Meep uses nameself pronouns -- meaning, you say "the Meep" or "the Meep's", ect.
The meep does not use he/him or they/them or she/her pronouns (but let's all be honest here! no one is gendering this alien as female so 90% of people are misgendering the Meep with he/him, or they/them if they want to pretend to be progressive).
The Meep is a canon neopronoun using character. The Meep should not be referred to as he or they or she or it, only the Meep!
There is literally no excuse for anyone who watched the episode misgendering the Meep, because the Doctor literally asks what the Meep's fucking pronouns are and gets "the Meep" as an answer! And everyone from them on uses these pronouns correctly!
Tumblr media
[ID: An image of the character the Meep from Doctor Who. The Meep is an alien with long white fur, large pink ears, and big round brown eyes, resembling a nocturnal lemur. The Meep is sitting down, with hands curled up to the Meep's chest, looking upward slightly as though sad. The background is of a dark, blurry, blue-grey room. End ID.]
And no, the fact that the Meep is yet another rendition of the nonbinary alien stereotype does not magically make exorsexism and misgendering okay!
You don't get to dance and celebrate that "Doctor Who is pissing off the TERFs" and then misgender a character whose pronouns you're explicitly told!
Pissing off TERFs is not more important than actually respecting people who use neopronouns! and when you misgender the Meep, a fictional character, that just shows you don't actually care about real neopronoun users!

I think a lot of progressive social justice people believe terfs are bad, and they’re right about that. But I don’t think they understand what’s the actual problem with their thinking beyond “they are transphobic/transmisogynistic” or how their ideology even means. Which is why the word “terf” is so often misused. Like people think basic feminist analysis like “we live in a patriarchy and misogyny is a serious problem” or “misandry don’t real” is terfy or think that terfery is just “thinking men are bad”. So I’ve seen trans women accused of being terfs for doing basic feminism or making misandry jokes.
That sort of thing is often a form of transmisogynistic bullying, but I think those people do think the problem problem with terfs is that they hate men. But hot take, the real problem is that they hate women.
The central tenet of radfemism is that cis women’s biology is the cause of women’s oppression and patriarchy. It's an explicitly anti-intersectional view, in which misogyny is the primary oppression, as old as humanity, and "the model for other (lesser) forms of oppression". This causes transmisogyny, as radfems argue only cis women are oppressed because of their biology. But it also relies on the just plain misogynistic idea that women are weaker. And it ultimately reifies patriarchy. Radfems believe biological sex is immutable. And if patriarchy is caused by biology and biological sex is immutable, there is no way forward to actually destroy patriarchy. Patriarchy is in this worldview not caused by social, material and political conditions and thus defeatable, since we can change those conditions by feminist struggle, but a biological constant. And if biology is destiny, we are then stuck with patriarchy.
To the extent that radfems were ever sincere in their feminism, this is a theory that leads to a dead end for feminist struggle.
And so the struggle turns against other women. Radfemism today essentially consists of activism whose main goals are fucking over trans women and sex workers. There really is no other way for it to go. They have no strategy for actually fighting against patriarchy, so they put down other women, whether it be trans women, sex workers or even other cis women who disagree with them and who the radfems condemn as brainwashed “handmaidens”. There is also a lot of moralist bullshit over porn and kink. Fighting against the patriarchy is hard, committing misogyny in a patriarchy is easy, and they have chosen the path of less resistance.
Radfems love man-hating rhetoric because it’s performative. Man-hating rhetoric has no practical effects, because misandry is not a systematic form of oppression. Men’s individual misogyny can become part of a systematic oppressive force, misandry can not, it can only remain as words from individual women.
It’s performative even if sincerely felt. I do understand feeling resentment as a woman towards men as a class. I know myself how fear just from being threatened by men easily turns into resentment. But it can’t actually do anything, it’s just letting off steam. It’s especially obvious how performative it is in the phenomenon of heteropessimism, in which there isn’t even any personal change behind the man-hating rhetoric. Heteropessimists are straight women say heterosexuality is bad because men are bad, but they usually don’t quit doing heterosexuality.
Radfems are into it because they don’t do any meaningful practical feminist activism, so performative displays of class resentment against men is what remains to keep up appearances. This class resentment is a replacement for practical action. It’s larping as a feminist. “We don’t do any actual feminist activism, but we say we hate patriarchy and men as a class a lot, so it’s allright.” It’s a form of appearing radical when radfems are actually being a conservative force.
Feminism is in part a struggle for women’s rights. And in the transmisogyny masquerading as feminism that is radfemism, cis women’s privileges over trans women becomes the women’s “sex-based” rights that they are fighting for. It’s fighting to maintain a privileged position in patriarchy, for the right never to see a trans woman in a public space.
And I do mean that they fight from exclusion from public spaces in general. When you can’t safely use public bathrooms, it severely limits your ability to move about in public spaces. A trans woman barred from the women’s bathroom can’t use the men’s, not without immense risk of assault. Trans people are faced with the choice to either remain in their homes or detransition. And that’s the point of bathroom bans, remove us from public spaces. A changing room ban is essentially a ban from doing normal human things like swimming or using a public gym.
Radfems ultimately collaborate with patriarchy in a shared struggle to uphold transmisogyny. They provide a secular, pseudo-progressive and pseudofeminist justification for transmisogyny, and that can be useful in winning over cis people to the struggle against trans rights. That’s why the patriarchy gives them funding and space in the “debate” over trans rights. It’s to provide a “feminist” reason to exclude trans women from womanhood and denying trans people healthcare.
That's why there is a terf-to-fascist pipeline. When someone associate with (and are funded by) reactionaries, their "feminism" is mainly focused on hurting trans women and sex workers and their definition of womanhood rests on biological essentialism and motherhood, it's easy to go from self-proclaimed feminist to outright fascist.
Even the radfem criticism of gender roles can turn into reactionary thinking. Radfem criticism of high heels, porn and make-up and emphasis on biological sex and motherhood is easily compatible with reactionary ideas. A common theme in reactionary thinking is that modern sexualized femininity is degenerate and how women need to return to motherhood and define womanhood through their reproductive/ biological role.
And there has always has been a connection between radfems and the reactionary pedo cult that is catholicism. Janice Raymond was literally a former Sister of Mercy and she was taught by Mary Daly who was a theology professor at a Jesuit college. They brought the transphobia and sex-negativity of catholicism into their "feminism". Raymond is an early example of radfems working with the far-right, as she worked with the Reagan adminstration to deny trans people healthcare. Of course radfems worked with christian conservatives in anti-porn crusades around the same time. The idea of genderism or gender ideology that radfems seems to have started with conservative catholics.
Radfems often justify their actions by arguing the exclusion of trans women from female spaces is just aimed at protecting women from “dangerous men”. So it’s justified as a fight for women’s rights and aimed at “men” in general, but that’s disingenuous. Cis men aren’t hurt by radfem exclusion. They still have bathrooms they can use. They can’t be hurt much by radfem activism because we live in a patriarchy and misandry isn’t real. In fact they benefit from the transmisogyny that radfems spread.
Misgendering trans women as men to exclude them from women’s bathrooms (and by extension from public spaces all together) is part of that disingenuous rhetoric to relabel transmisogyny as feminist struggle. That is the other function their man-hating rhetoric serves. Radfems often claim to hate men, but what they mean by that is often that they hate trans women. When your average radfem's utterances consist of like 95% transmisogyny and what they advocate for only hurts transfems, not cis men, it's hard to interpret their "i hate men" statements any other way.
I think a lot of well meaning progressive people are too willing to take radfems at their word at this. They try to explain radfemism as “women who hate men, think trans women are men and thus hate trans women”. That is an essentially an individual psychological explanation that doesn’t give enough weight to systemic transmisogyny. Even if the psychological explanation is true for many individuals, if an individual radfem sincerely hates everyone amab in general, their individual psychology doesn’t matter much in the larger scheme of things. What they think or believe is not as important as their actions on a systemic level. And we can’t ignore the impact of systemic transmisogyny on their thinking, which we can’t say for misandry.
The transmisognyistic actions of radems ultimately enforce the systemic oppression of transmisogyny whereas misandry has no systematic oppression for them to reinforce. Misandry to the extent it is real is an individual psychological trait, transmisogyny is systemic.

i was a tra for years, it started as soon as i learned about the lgbtq+ community when i was about twelve years old. i was a young lesbian living in a conservative household and i wanted to belong somewhere -- i didn’t stand a chance, really.
i went through the typical “genderfluid” / “nonbinary” phases, and even a small “transman” phase, like a lot of internally misogynistic / homophobic lesbians caught up in the tra bullshit do. however, as the years went by, i started to feel more and more uncomfortable in what was supposed to be my own community.
seeing so, so many of my lesbian peers suddenly declare that they’re no longer women and start chopping their breasts off and going on t made me feel incredibly uncomfortable, sad, and even enraged. but i could never really articulate why that was for the longest time, because i thought i was just being “transphobic.”
i tried so fucking hard for the longest time to *convince* myself that i was attracted to transwomen, because if i wasn’t then that would mean i’m a dirty terf who deserves to die.
but a few months ago, i finally peaked.
and i feel *so* much better.
now, i can confidently understand why seeing all my lesbian peers trying so desperately not to be perceived by the patriarchy as who they are -- gender non-conforming homosexual women -- made me so viscerally upset.
now, i can confidently say that i am not attracted to transwomen because they’re males, regardless of their delusional “identities.”
i am the proudest in my identity as a lesbian than i have ever been after discovering radical feminism, and it’s because of blogs like yours.
so, thank you. you and your blog mean so much to all the wonderful ex-tra women like me out there. you’re making the world a better place. <3
i read this ask last night before going to bed and it made me so happy/emotional, i went through almost the EXACT experience as you, and its so scary/alienating
its also sad and disgusting how ENCOURAGED it is in those spaces for lesbian women to abandon their womanhood because somehow being a woman is a sin more evil than the devil himself in their eyes
oh, but of course theyd never explicitly SAY that, theyll just threaten those horrible, mean 'terfs'! as a stand-in!
im so so So SO fucking proud of you, i dont know you but i wish i could hug you, im so happy you chose yourself, your comfort, YOU, above everything, everyone, and anything
that makes you so damn strong, stronger than that entire 'community' wishes they could ever be
i wish you nothing but the best, so much love, so much happiness, and nothing but greatness
thank YOU, from the bottom of my heart for all your support, i love you
thank you for reminding me what im doing this for

Btw if you guys were curious about the rampant hypocrisy and intersexism in the trans community the person in the last reblog proceeded to respond to my post by telling me to fuck off because I, “wasn’t transmasc,” despite me explicitly saying I was transfemasc due to being intersex and genderfluid, then said that I was assuming they were cis and calling them a “TERF meanie,” two things I never did or even said anything remotely close to.
And then continued, on their blog, in three separate posts, to rant about how “transmasc/tme people/people who purposefully obfuscate are their relationship to transmisogyny” are “the worlds biggest crybullies,” how people “on this site romanticise being oppressed,” that “some people seem to pride themselves on being borderline sociopathic,” and how we are “mra clowns.”
So I guess I’m transfem and not transmasc when it’s convenient to ignore my perspective on transandrophobia, but transmasc and not transfem when they want to delegitimise my experience with oppression and imply I’m whiny for talking about it. Then I’m a “mra clown” when it’s convenient to see me as a man.
Then they went in for the triple whammy and were lowkey ableist, I’m sorry but I’m not “priding myself on being borderline sociopathic” by… having ASPD, I guess? I’m just being open and trying to spread awareness.
I normally would just leave it alone, I mean they blocked me so obviously they don’t want to interact and the feeling is mutual. But I feel like this is a really good example of bigotry (i.e., intersexism, ableism) from within the community, as well as a good example of how a transfemasc person might experience lateral violence by being painted as whichever is most negative at the time while simultaneously being denied their status as someone who is both.

The Lesbophobia on this site is really getting out of hand.
All you have to do is say that lesbians do not fuck men in order to be attacked, dogpiled, and called a terf! It’s sickening!
Take this asswipe for example:
Tumblr media
I see lesbophobes are intentionally deciding not to have basic reading comprehension.
“Does your ability to fuck men just disappear” Ain’t nobody said that lesbians are physically incapable of fucking men. When we say that lesbians can’t fuck men we’re saying that we don’t want to because we’re not sexually attracted to them. And we’re saying that if you’re a woman who fucks men then you can’t be a lesbian by definition. You can’t be a lesbian and also enjoy fucking men. Stop intentionally warping and misrepresenting our words because you want to jump through hoops to erase our identity. You’re all so fucking stupid. And at this point I think you assholes know you don’t have an argument so that’s why you have to resort to these “semantics”.
“Lesbians can do whatever they want including fucking the occasional man if it makes them happy” y’all are just blatantly spouting false bullshit at this point omfg what part of LESBIANS AREN’T ATTRACTED TO MEN DON’T YOU FUCKING UNDERSTAND?! No fucking men doesn’t make us happy because then we wouldn’t be lesbians fool, but you know who it does make happy? Men. Because men fantasize about getting into lesbians’ pants and robbing the one group of women and non-binary people who do not desire or identify as men of that right to unavailability to men. They get off to the idea of a woman they are attracted to but who isn’t attracted to their gender having that lack of attraction overridden and being forced to make themselves accessible to men. And you guys are giving these men more validity, so yeah. Thanks for that.
”You don’t speak for all lesbians” bitch I know for a fact that all lesbians are unattracted to men and want nothing whatsoever to do with men in the slightest. We don’t want to have sex with or marry or date a man whether cis trans nonbinary or whatever the fuck. Because we’re not attracted to men, which because you’re a lesbophobic idiot I apparently have to fucking spell out for you. Show me a “lesbian” who is attracted to men and I can guarantee you that they aren’t actually a lesbian because ACTUAL LESBIANS aren’t into men. That’s just how it is. That’s just life. It’s our sexuality and if you can’t respect that then just go step on a Lego.
God I am so sick and tired of y’all.
Also this dumb bitch @/mlembug decided it would be a good idea to screenshot my friends’ posts about lesbophobia, and this other idiotic fucking clown named @/theotin reblogged from mlembug and tagged it #radfems. When all the posts did was say that lesbians are not attracted to men, to not interact with them if you are a bi “lesbian” or “les”boy, and that the lgbt community needs to pay more attention to lesbophobia in the community and that lesbians shouldn’t be the only ones calling lesbophobia out. One of them was even explicitly in support of trans people and including trans women in lesbianism! (Although I’m friends with these people so I know for a fact that they are all trans-accepting and despise transmisogyny, just like most of the lesbian community, mind you) And yet they were all called radfems for the vile sin of being lesbians and calling out lesbophobia. At this point you guys are just saying the quiet part out loud. You all hate lesbians for existing. It doesn’t matter if we’re explicitly against transphobia of all sorts. You don’t actually care about defending trans people. You just hate lesbians for not being attracted to men and try to pretend/convince us that we are and you’re unashamed of it. Disgusting.
I can’t believe how widespread the lesbophobia on this site is. But then again, I’m also not surprised. Keep entertaining yourselves with your pathetic little daydreams that lesbians can fuck men because you’d rather have something in common with cishet men who watch corrective rape porn than us. Just don’t be surprised when the “mean” lesbians don’t wanna be friends with your stupid, annoying, sorry asses.

I wish the left had literally any empathy for women. I expect it from the right, but when it comes spewing from the left completely unchallenged, it’s somehow worse. No one takes misogyny seriously and trying to explain why sexism exists in any so-called progressive space just feels like talking to a brick wall. Apparently every other problem in the universe takes priory over women’s rights.
"talking about my views in leftist spaces is like talking to a brick wall"
Same. I'm a native two spirit who's poor, disabled, and neurodivergent. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get them to talk about anything but capitalism?
It's called class reductionism. Reducing all struggle to class.
Talking to leftists about anything else, is in fact like talking to a brick wall..hence my username. I'm sick of people who's biggest struggle is not affording a Lexus leading leftist conversations because they're the ones people pay attention to. Everyone wants to pay attention to cis white guy who uses big words, you know? But intersectionality and solidarity are key and I find that most of these types completely lack that.
But you know what? The alternative isn't turning to far right views. And if expressing your views is easier in right-leaning or "radfem" spaces but then in explicitly leftist spaces it's like talking to a brick wall then your views are right wing views.
Leftists don't need you to explain why sexism exists for the most part either. And further, people more educated and resourceful than you have Already explained it far better than you. There's a treasure trove of feminist theory and history available to anyone with an internet connection.
Most leftists in my experience (while class reductionists) are at least familiar with feminist theory. It's like you said, just not a priority.
But it's even less of a priority to the far right who happily just saw our bodily autonomy removed in favor of capitalist values.
My priority is mutual aid and solidarity. People and communities working together so that we can, united, overcome the systems that oppress us all. We are stronger together. Every Right we have was won because of allyship and community coming together as a force to be reckoned with.
...that's not going to happen though if TERFs and Radfems keep shifting blame and harm to trans people, people who are relying on the Same Exact Laws that women need for abortions to protect their own rights to HRT and gay marriage.
The laws that protect the right to choose what happens to your body are vital to both movements. The women's liberation front was there in the crowd at pride in 1973, the year Roe v Wade was won. The movements were intertwined for a reason.
Trans women aren't the Judges sitting in courtrooms who letting rapists off on minimal charges. Trans women and men aren't in the Supreme Court that took away abortion. And they aren't sitting in Congress plotting to criminalize birth control &gay marriage, meanwhile refusing to Protect anything.
That's not trans people.
You want people to take you seriously?
Wake the fuck up and refocus. You're feeding into the destruction of your own rights and you're too far down your echo chambered rabbit hole to even notice.
Nobody is going to take a "feminist" seriously when she's advocating for the erosion of human rights.

For the record, many of the posts on this blog are about trans people. When I refer to 'girlcock', I am speaking about a woman with a penis, not a 'crossdressing man'. Women can have penises, men can have vaginas, when say 'girlcock' or 'boycunt' I am explicitly indicating that the post is about trans people. Not a cis person who enjoys gender nonconforming fashion and especially not someone who fetishizes trans people and sexualizes their misogyny. terfs fuck off.

I find myself in a really weird state w my body right now having been in recovery for so long-and that was the last time I had a Tumblr haha- so this is the first point in my life where the photos I'm taking of my body are more positive and like- wish I had someone to send these to- rather than shame.
