As a neat treat for y’all to celebrate Mermay, meet the first NEW characters to be added into the world of Johnny Test: Primal Eternity; JELLI AND THALASSIA!

Coming equipped with a sailor’s hat, Jelli is a spunky and sassy shortstack jellyfish girl, and Thalassia’s best friend. While she maybe very short, this chick’s electrical cynidocytes can leave a nasty shock, perfect for pulling pratical pranks on others. As Susan’s main rival, Jelli is both wild and willing to get up into someone’s face, in which Thalassia has to make sure to step in to keep her out of trouble.

Thalassia... is huge, straight-up. This gigantic dragonfish mermaid with a Russian accent serves as the calm and stoic foil to the wild and rash Jelli. Not only can she make use whirlpools by merely yawning, she’s a powerful swimmer. Similar to Susan and Jelli’s rivalry, Thalassia is a rival to Mary, whose frisky and boisterous mannerisms leave the huge mermaid a bit confused at times.

Looking upon the following expressions, you can see the words 'anar' in one and 'anaria' in the other.

Before, I thought 'anar' would mean 'by' and 'alah' would mean 'light'. But, if supposing that 'anaria' is a form advanced from the word 'anar', I made the conclusion that 'anar' would mean 'light', 'alah' would mean 'by', 'anaria' would mean 'enlighten' (metaphore for 'speak', 'reveal') and 'shola' would mean 'business'.

So, the phrases are built as following:

We have spent a lot of time training at the river!

Thalassia is a good counter to the Leader's pokémon creatures, but last time it struggled to keep balance on the floats. We have been busy fixing that!

Cryptocoryne is much better at water skirmishes, but will have to make do with melee attacks to deal more damage.

I believe our new strategy can work for a rematch tomorrow!

The Ghost Pirates! More about them under the cut!

Frost (Froslass, he/him):

Frost’s the captain of the pirate ship, and a trans man! By far the oldest of the ghosts, he’s dedicated to the life of a pirate, but also values his crew above all else!

Patch (Banette, he/him):

Patch tends to do most of the domestic work on the ship, such as cooking and cleaning! He found Jingle in an abandoned chest that was meant to be holding treasure, and adopted her and raised her!

Mavis (Alolan Decidueye, he/they):

A Decidueye who is incapable of flying, but has adapted by being very good at climbing! They act as the ship’s lookout, and have a hobby of collecting ornamental knives!

When the crew temporarily disbanded for Patch to raise Jingle, he started a fighting dojo aimed for helping disabled Pokémon learn to fight in a way that worked for them!

Thalassia (Jellicent, she/her):

A Jellicent that joined the crew after Frost saved her! The tallest and strongest of the crew, she’s usually the one who intimidates their enemies, and later ends up as hired help for anyone who needs her strength when the crew disbands!

Jingle (Banette, she/her):

A Banette born from a doll abandoned inside of a treasure chest! Patch very quickly found her, and took her in as his own child and raised her, kept oblivious to her family’s background for her own well-being!

She took the truth well when she was finally told as an adult, and decided to stay in the harbour town she was raised in rather than join her family on the ship, and eventually becomes a banker!

If you thought me being occupied with my PHP ramblings all month long was gonna make me miss Mermay, then you are SORELY wrong.

In time to celebrate Mermay (And definitely not because of a certain Disney live-action remake that nobody asked for), I was able to draw out a sketch for the very FIRST new character for my Johnny Test reboot idea; THALASSIA!

While it's most likely weird to add a mermaid into something like Johnny Test, I figured that making this particular one all big and monstrous (and monstrously hot) would fit the tone of Primal Eternity. In essence, Thalassia is basically the Cala Maria of Porkbelly, which is a given, since the latter serves as the former's main inspiration.

Not only does this huge dragonfish mermaid serves as a lovely bit of fanservice and monstrous goodness in a mixed package, she's the casual/comedic rival of a certain Sassy Moon Vamp (Because of course). All I need to do is to draw up Thalassia's friend, and the duo should be complete...

Since Lucidus has always observed the nightsky of heaven with Tenebra, he, who is deeply in love with aforementioned gay demon, naturally thinks of him
