PokéTWST Part 7

Silver's team may seem a little mismatched, but they are quite complementary with one half catering to Silver's napping needs...

Snorlax and Musharna both aid Silver when he's sleeping: Snorlax as an oversized pillow, and Musharna as a dream eater (KH references much Toboso?). Musharna will eat the dreams of others, helping them to either forget the dream or consume the nightmares.

The color of the mist emanating from Musharna shows the type of dream the host has and will inform the other Pokémon what Silver is dreaming. However, if the dream is becoming a nightmare, the mist will turn black.

Gallade and Aegislash know this. Gallade, being the "master of courtesy and swordsmanship," will guard Silver and Musharna diligently, knowing that waking a Musharna when the mist is black will bring Silver's nightmares to life.

Aegislash too will stand guard in Shield Form in order to protect Silver.

And the other half assisting with his sparring and etiquette training.

Gallade make for great knights-in-training. They are fiercely protective of their trainers and able to predict their opponent's moves. Silver loves to practice his swordsmanship with Gallade since it fights as honorably as himself.

Gallade are also chivalrous and seek to assist those in need, much like Silver. And so when Silver falls asleep in the middle of a task, or when he is preoccupied with Malleus, Gallade is there to fill in the gaps. If anything, Silver wants to learn from Gallade's example.

Aegislash, having both offensive and defensive abilities, also makes for a challenging opponent. However, Aegislash is more intrigued in Silver himself.

Aegislash are able to "detect the innate qualities of leadership" and thus are drawn to royalty. Initially, it was Malleus's Pokémon, but as Aegislash developed an obvious interest in Silver, Malleus gifted it as a birthday present as an example of what a royal protector should look like.

Aegislash are known to loyally serve entire lineages of kings, which Silver one day hopes he could do. It's a constant reminder of what Silver is training for, and the amount of faith Malleus has in him to reach that goal.

GMMTV 2024 Part 1 Stray Thoughts

I have finished viewing the trailers. I'm feeling relatively cool about most of it, and I had a strong negative reaction to the announcements about two adaptations.

Here is what intrigued me in order:

My Golden Blood - When Joss and Mond rose off the ground, I also ascended. Joss and Gawin wasn't on my radar as a potential option, but I am so here for it.

Wadee Gooday - I'm so here for the adult romance, and Thor is here. A boxer and a doctor have such fascinating potential.

The Trainee - OffGun workplace romance and Love Score is playing. We are so fucking back.

On Sale - TayNew in a ghost romcom? We are so fucking back.

Pluto - Film and Namtam and Namtam is lying? I am here for it.

Kidnap - Ohm is back in BL and they gave him a gun and a little brother who shares his name. This is probably gonna be a mess but it looks fun.

Only Boo - Not sure how I feel about an idol trainee show, but Louis is here.

We Are - Why are there four couples? Engineering? Hopefully, this is going to be like MSP, and let us put this behind us.

High School Frenemy - I will have to watch School 2013 before this airs because it looks like the original was well-received and this trailer just looks like boys fighting the whole time.

My Love Mix-Up - Fourth doesn't seem to do slapstick well in this trailer, and Gem doesn't look serious enough. New Hashimoto doesn't have that glint in her eye. New Aida looks solid. I'm skeptical. More thoughts below.

Ossan's Love - Literally why?

Summer Night - Phuwin and Dunk pratfall kiss bait into het nonsense with a BL side. No thanks.

My Precious the series - I feel like any hype I had for this has evaporated. I'm past it.

Ploy's Yearbook - Apparently step-siblings fall for each other in this? No thanks.

Enigma 2 - No idea what's going on but it has clear vibes.

Alright, I'm just gonna say it: The My Love Mix-Up trailer was not good. I love Fourth and Gemini a lot. I think Fourth is really talented, and I think he and Gemini make a good team. That being said, there is a reason KH continues to get content shared on this website, and right now I don't think Fourth and Gem showed the juice to match Michieda Shunsuke and Meguro Ren.

I don't think Fourth is going to generate meme material as Thai Aoki the way Michieda did if this trailer is indicative of where he's going. I don't think Gemini is hitting the seriousness of Ida well here at all. Ida is a demisexual icon and so important to the genre, and I just don't think Gemini has this in him right now.

For those wondering why I feel so strongly about this, I will remind you that Kieta Hatsukoi is free on Viki.

We are now seeing cross-cultural adaptations of BL work, and I think that it's incredibly important to view the source work before we get into big discussions about what each adaptation does well. I am so concerned about Kieta Hatsukoi being adapted because it's so distinctly Japanese in its stylings and the dramatic tension underpinning it. The Thai trailer feels lacking to me because the angst felt so ungrounded. Fourth can moon over Gemini just fine, but there's a specificity to the mooning that he just isn't hitting here.

I will be talking about My Love Mix-Up Thailand as an adaptation of Kieta Hatsukoi. I will not be entertaining debates or discussions about it as an independent work. The trailer has called directly to the Japanese origins and it will be judged as such. If you haven't or won't watch the original or read the source work, please don't tag me, because "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore."

Lono: "Leave it to me!"

Lono: "Alright! We caught you! Bastien!”

Lono: "Okay! I'll make sure he can't get out of the net!"

Bastien: "Kh…” (I-I'm caught in the net…)

Lamli: "Hooray~! We caught him smoothly!"

Fennesz: "You led him well towards the net."

Haures: "No... it's still not enough.  Lono, Fennesz!  You were opening the net a bit too early. If you open it too early, there is a high chance that the angel will dodge it. You need to spread the net just one tempo slower."

Fennesz: "O-okay, got it.” (I thought we followed Haures' command correctly...)

Lono: "Yeah..."

Haures: “And Lamli, Lato. You need to be more aware of each other's positions. Too many times you're still moving apart. Watch and imitate the way me and Boschi keep our distance. Understand?”

Lamli: “Roger!”

Lato: “Hmm… It's kind of difficult.”

Haures: “Come on, let's do it again!”

Lamli: “What? A-again? We've been going through the whole thing without a break, though?”

Fennesz: “Maybe we should take a break? Haures?”

Haures: “....No. We don't have much time before the expedition. Right now, we're just going to repeat the training so that our bodies can learn the strategy. We can't afford to miss this chance…”

Boschi: "Hey... Haures. Aren't you hurrying it too much?”

Haures: “I'm not. This is a particularly important mission. I think it's best to practice a little too much.”

Boschi: “Good grief... If you get hurt before the show, what's the point?”

Haures: “That's…”

Boschi: “I'm taking the rest of the day off.”

Haures: “What is it? Fennesz, I'd like to focus on the mission right now…”

Fennesz: "I'm not sure if it's my place to say this, but… aren't you hurrying it too much?  Haures, this doesn't seem like you. If we keep this up… just as Boschi said, someone will end up injured.”

Haures: "W-well..."

Fennesz: "I believe the usual Haures... would subject everyone to strict training to prevent injuries.  But the current training might be too much, Haures."

The fake magazine is a great idea… for a zine! With a lot more people working on it rather that just one! I’m very veryyy glad you’d like seeing something like that done by me but it’s a far too much work for just one person :’) I already took part in that kind of item with a mxtx zine team and it was a wonderful experience cause article writers can team up with artists, advertising team exchange a lot on what products to promote, etc It’s really a lively experience!

If a day could have more than 24 hours, I might think about (I’m lying, I already thought about it…) running a Twst zine but it’s a f u c k i n g tiring job 💦💦 And I still have my KH zine to end ha ha ha ha… That’s a no way for this year :’’) What a pity, there is not enough twst zines right now… [sigh]

My team leader was wounded in action last night on what was supposed to be a "quick and easy" last second op. I spent the entire night at the command center while he was stuck on the line and out of contact due to EW. It was more draining than the incident on my last deployment where a KH-55 almost got me. This is my third deployment with him. He's my best friend. For hours I thought I was going to have to make the worst call you possibly can to his parents.

The rest of my team basically told command to get fucked in the morning, took a humvee, and went and pulled him along with several other badly injured guys off the line. My TL had multiple shrapnel wounds including one 2cm above his right femoral that he packed a roll and a half of celox into by himself. He's going to be fine in a couple of weeks. We got so lucky this time. There was a 2-3hr period during the rescue attempt where I genuinely thought that I just might lose most of my friends in a day. It didn't happen. Thank fuck.

Interesting excerpts from the KH2 Ultimania Nojima interview...

As detailed before, Nojima co-created Ansem with Nomura and handled his involvement in Hollow Bastion as well as the fall-out from what he did, plus End of the World. Other than that, Nojima had far less to do with KH than Jun Akiyama and Daisuke Watanabe did.

Also as detailed before, Nomura wrote the main plot (beginning, middle and end of the game) while the Event Team did the Disney worlds' plots, then Nojima adapted them into his script. The big problem was, well, "he relayed his thoughts to me and then I was free to do the rest", all while Nomura's thoughts in question were confounding to Nojima and difficult to translate into script form.

Nomura wanted sea salt ice cream as a visual.

Nojima turned it into a plot point, the absolute mad lad!

Hence the weird cheesy Christmas special feel to the Halloween Town visits. It was a deliberate creative choice and I love it.

Ngl, I wish their roles were slightly more important.

Look, you can ship Sora and Riku if you please, but I appreciate Nojima being explicit in saying that the intention behind their relationship is the strongest of friendships: two guys who are like brothers even though they aren't related, which means it's ripe for being emotionally tumultuous ("not easy to have" / "embarrassing").

Thank you for that, Nojima, and I hope that you actually stick to this sentiment in your subsequent writing, unlike Nomura who sold out.

The padding. Good lord, is this man self-aware!

The final thing I want to note, which I have noted before - Nojima is really good at dialogue. Not only is his mastery of it responsible for that iconic exchange between Sora and Kairi at the end, but it also helped every character have a unique voice and memorable lines that feel like stuff they would say. Even lines people mock are often deliberate (ex: "we totally owned you lamers!" - as Nojima says elsewhere in this very interview, Seifer is supposed to project faux coolness - "trying too hard to be cool"). He wasn't the best writer for the KH series narratively, but he's at the top of his field in dialogue.

Book 6 Finale

Leona threw gold into hell. Also, I thought Leona was going to kill Ortho for that. And I out of the teams, besides Vil’s, Leona and Jamil’s team is the best. I love this group so much. Especially with what Leona did. He didn’t have to help Jamil, but he did. I want an anaylsis. Leona is one of the best characters in this app. 

I.... this was translated for me. I love this so much. Also, those mini games were a lot of fun! I loved it! That and fighting and searching. I love those kinds of mini-games! 

Hahah! Even Azul can only handle Riddle for so long! 

.......... I think in a fist fight, yes, Azul could take down Riddle. 

I loved how both were so happy to take down the titan. They had so much fun. This is true friendship right here. Also, I just noticed this, but Azul’s hat and Riddle’s crown are gone after that fight. 

No, I am with Vil on this. Rook is supposed to look after the dorm if anything happened to the house warden. Sure, Rook went to save his husband, but Vil’s right. Those students must’ve freaked out about this. 

He’s really laying on Rook. I agree with him still.

That is final boss dialogue, and I love it so much! Vil got his wish too! He’s a hero! 

Ok, so I love stats, but Idia not only gives himself a boost in fire magic, but he also gets a healing factor too in grass. I love Hades and Persephone, so I am going to believe that’s why he has it. 

HE JUMPED AND FELL TO THE BOTTOM AND AFTER IDIA, ORTHO, AND GRIM! 

This hurts so much. Out of all the Overblots, Idia’s is the most tragic. Riddle, Leona, and Azul are relatable. Vil’s kind of, and I hope to gods no one is in Jamil’s situation. Idia’s backstory is tragic.... I was so silent. He’s been carrying that pain, guilt, and not grieving for so long.... No one should ever have to do that. If you are suffering, please talk to someone. You deserve to be happy and not go through anything like this alone. I love you all and hugs all around.

Hey, guys! Here's another pic I made that is based on one of the most chaotic chapters in Mortal Kombat 1: Armageddon! In here, like the original, this version of the Order of Darkness was— instead of Titan Shang Tsung —assembled by Titaness Kayla Amihan in order to conquer the multiverse and destroy the Union of Light. This version of the Order of Darkness included evil counterparts of Shroomy (in his Shroominator body), Saiko (in her old body graphics), Meggy Spletzer (in her Inkling form), Sunset Shimmer, Bob Bobowski (as Rapper Bob), Glamrock Freddy and other characters, who were considered heroes in previous timelines.

Hmmmmm, depends on a fandom tbh – I'm usually a multishipper and it's pretty hard to me to pick favourites... But let's ponder that a little:

Definitely NeroV. I like a lot of DMC ships, but that was the one, that really got me into it. Plus I think they really fit each other. 💜

Otasune, sweet Arceus, Otasune! While I'm not against other ships with these two, I personally ship Solid Snake and Otacon only with each other. My beloved disaster husbands. T^T

Sonadow. Sonic is a fandom, where my shipping has no borders, but this one is a classic and I love their dynamics. ^^

When it comes to KH I'm team "fuck it, we ball!"... But lately I've gotten really fond of Luxord/Vexen. Unfortunately, so far I'm the only author on AO3, who's writing for them. XD Also, Larxene/Aqua, I think they're neat. ^^

I absolutely adore Tifa/Aerith, they're so cuuuuuuute! 💜

In BNHA I'm strong DabiHawks shipper, but I'm fine with shipping Dabi with others too (Hawks? Not so much).

I really enjoyed the dialog between you and Dot about the Snow sequal. I feel there is a huge disconnect between what we see in the final work of the GOT program, what is said in panels and interviews, and the books. I think Kit is very careful when he talks about Jon’s relationship and killing of his aunt.I think it’s out of clear understanding of the backlash the SNOW sequal could face before even getting off the ground. I take GRRM’s advice. The show is the show and books are the books.

Hello, and thank you for the ask. I always love reading @esther-dot's takes on things to do with Game of Thrones, and the books as well. She writes things that are very insightful, and really provide so much food for thought.

Yes, it seems like there definitely has to be a disconnect between the show and the books for many of the characters. I suspect, for example, that episode three of season eight, as presented, is probably a major departure from the books, especially the big moment of Arya killing the Night King, and also because of the absence of the Direwolves other than Ghost (I think it was leaked somewhere that Martin wanted the Direwolves to figure heavily in the battle, and we know the Night King seems to be more of a show thing). Although Arya killing the Night King provided a dramatic moment, it did not seem to make sense in terms of Jon's past encounters with him, and for that reason it fell flat for many viewers.

However, I still think that it's likely that many of the major beats of the show's ending are going to be the same or very similar in the books. We do know that Benioff and Weiss were told the planned ending by Martin, so I think a lot of it is probably more or less accurate in a general sense. The twists and turns leading up to the ending, and the character development will be better in the books and will make more sense, but I think the major endpoints will be about the same: Dany burning King's Landing, Jon killing her, Bran becoming King, Jon being exiled; probably Sansa revealing Jon's identity and Sansa becoming Queen in the North. I also think that much of the Jon/Sansa arc in general is going to roughly follow a similar trajectory as the show and is going to be very important in the books. I'm looking forward to reading it.

But talking more specifically about Jon Snow, and in light of the recent panels with Kit Harington, I think what was said in those panels has only done more to confirm that Jon's show ending will roughly be the book ending. In the panel, KH said that killing Dany was the right thing to do. It was obvious that when he said it he knew that this plot point was unpopular with a decent portion of the show's viewership. At the same time, it's probable that he said it because he is heavily involved in developing the new Snow show (he is rumored to be the executive producer). Therefore, he has to set this show up accurately, necessitating for him to speak in general terms about the premises for the leading character's backstory.

I read somewhere that Kit's writing team, whoever they are, have visited GRRM to discuss the Snow show, and Martin himself blogged about it, so it's fairly obvious that it will be a premise of the new show that killing Dany is Jon's arc, and that Jon is coming to terms with it being the right thing. Somehow, this was Jon's fate all along, even given the vagaries and misreadings of the "prophecy" which is also figuring heavily in House of the Dragon. So in my mind at least, there is some hope that while Jon is haunted by his past, he won't be depicted as being hopelessly entrapped by his "love affair" with Daenerys Targaryen.

Another interesting thing that Kit said in the panels was about Jon having an "internal conflict." He said something like, "Jon doesn't know who he is, and we didn't have time to see how being a Targaryen sits with him. He's been told who he is (by others), but he's quite far away from knowing." Kit also said that he thinks Jon will remain "Jon Snow." This may imply that the show is going to explore Jon finally finding his identity in some way or another? Maybe there is even a hint here that KH (perhaps like GRRM?) was not entirely pleased with Jon's story in season eight?

Maybe I am being overly optimistic, but I do think Jon's aforementioned internal conflict is going to be a theme of this show. I think that there will be "third chapter" for him that will to some degree heal and resolve the traumas that haunt him.

dilan and aeleus as researchers: an investigation

hi wassup I’ve heard some conflicting information about whether or not Dilan and Aeleus being researchers was retconned and so I did some lookin around. sources presented from least canon to most canon, and only things from kh3 onward, because you know how it is with info falling out of relevance in this series (any bold is from me)

also this is only English translated material, if I can find a way to look into the Japanese versions of all these I will

1) the kh3 novel aka the number one purveyor of misinformation on this subject

Ienzo wasn’t sure what either of them intended to do; all he knew was that he wanted to carry on the mission of his teacher, Ansem the Wise. Aeleus and Dilan were still here, but they weren’t apprentices. Even was, and as a researcher, he was a man worthy of great respect.

there’s a point for no, they weren’t part of the research team. HOWEVER! THE NOVELS ARENT CANON

I like to reference them a lot because they can add some very fun things but when there’s stuff like this that flat out contradicts concrete canon it should be ignored.

2) the kingdom hearts character files book

I have no idea how canon this thing is but I think, since it’s supplementary material and not an alternate canon like the novels, it counts for a little more? anyway this one includes Braig too

He was one of Ansem the Wise’s apprentices and worked as a guard in Radiant Garden, but [information not relevant to this topic lol]

Dilan

Dilan is an apprentice of Ansem the Wise and serves as a castle guard, along with Aeleus, in Radiant Garden (BBS). Like the other apprentices, he becomes a Nobody because of Xehanort and ends up as a member of Organization XIII.

Aeleus - interestingly enough his explicitly mentions the word “research” while the other two don’t

and then at the very end of the short story written from his perspective in this book:

Maybe I’m unqualified to be an apprentice because I’m still swayed by thoughts like these.

(the “thoughts like these” by the by are about a fascination with darkness; not just as a source of power, but like... the merit of it, and the study of it. researchy stuff)

So. Apprentices, yes! but we can do better than this

3) Secret Reports from KH3 - specifically Secret Report 5: Memoirs, Excerpt 1

Secret Reports are undeniably canon as they’re written by characters in-universe; the biggest problem with them, however, is that kh has a wealth of incredibly unreliable narrators. Until proven otherwise though this is the way things are so thank you Isa for writing this so nice and clearly

The two who stood guard at the gates were researchers themselves, though you wouldn't think it to see them, massive and barrel-chested as they were.

So! Dilan and Aeleus are still included as apprentices and the idea that they were retconned out of that group doesn’t have a very good basis. thanks for reading

Riku/Sora (Kingdom Hearts) - KH is the game that got me into video games, and inspired me all the way to getting my current job in game dev, and Riku is at the heart of why I love the games so much. But I had to put Sora too, because one without the other just doesn't work. Without Riku, Sora couldn't have his arc of "I want to be better than Riku" to "I want to be better with Riku". And for Riku, his transition from dark & edgy to chosen keyblade weilder all ties back to how he looked down on Sora, then tried to make up for his mistakes, and finally trusted and loved Sora completely. They complete each other and challenge each other to grow and become better at every turn. Also their reunion in 2 absolutely ruins me every time. Sora crying on his knees will be burned in my brain forever.

Zack Fair (FFVII) - Crisis Core was at one point the only game that would work on my PSP lol. But I didn't need any other games because Zack the puppy was everything to me. Watching him struggle with the morality of being a SOLDIER, all while desperately trying to protect his friends and failing at every turn...that shit hurts, and yet he keeps his smile and honor right up til the end. He is THE sunshine boy of sunshine boys and I could gush about him all day long. His scenes in Advent Children destroy me.

Oikawa Tooru (Haikyuu) - the real blorbo of my heart, the bitch I latched onto and will love to the end of my days. His ability to take even a team of strangers and lead them flawlessly within just a few minutes is so admirable. He knows exactly how to bring out the best in everyone on the court. It hurts me to this day that he never got to wreck Shiratorizawa before he graduated (also that moment where he falls and slips in season 2 uggghhhhh) but jokes on them because he's the one who got an honorable position on an irl team!! I get some people call him an insufferable asshole but thats exactly why I like him! Let characters be insufferable!!!!! Its fun!!!!! And besides, when it comes down to it, he's genuinely a good person who wants everyone on his team to be involved and be their best. Love of my life. No Oikawa haters allowed on my blog.

Pitch Black/Kozmotis Pitchiner (RoTG) - basically since the movie came out I have been ready with a "Pitch did nothing wrong" speech at all times. I feel like I don't even really have to explain this one, I mean....yall get it. You know why we're all still here, loving him and the Guardians to the end of our days. I will say, though - idc if it's book version or movie version, my love for this asshole remains the same.

Nico di Angelo (Percy Jackson) - ah, the original blorbo. The queer awakening for so many people even before he was out in the books. This is another "I love him because he's kinda rude" character. His hatred towards other characters is always warranted tbh, because they ostracize him for?? No good reason at all???? No one wants to or tries to be his friend in heros of olympus for the first four books (except Hazel, who practically has to force others to talk to him) and it pisses me off to no end. Percy spent battle of the labyrinth hunting him down, but would he have been so dedicated if he wasn't getting the iris messages??? Doubt it. Anyway. I adore Nico, he deserved better, and I'm so glad he's got a wonderful bf and his own book now. I will never get tired of him and I really hope the tv series goes well so he can finally come to life in live action ♡

Still on Hiatus! But here's some good news!

Hey everyone! Thank you so much for your patience! I come bearing good news and want to share it with everyone. The latter end of 2023 was very stressful for my family and I as my father was not doing well. He had open heart surgery on December 19th and was allowed to go home December 29th! We are forever grateful to the surgeon and his team that took care of my father as well as the AMAZING infirmary nurses and staff that looked after him and prepared him for coming home. It was very scary at times and I had absolutely no desire to be creative after the end of October. Now that things have settled down, my desire to write is slowly coming back to me. I will eventually return to this KH/FF blog! For now though, the new PJO show has revived my love of those books and I will be making a PJO roleplay blog. Once again, I'd like to thank everyone for your patience and understanding. Thank you so much!

Firstly, thank you! I know I don't really touch a lot of my older AU's now but it's nice to know some people are still entertained by them.

As for Fortress Hearts...honestly, a lot of this is gonna sound like gibberish since Kingdom Hearts (the game this is based on) is just Like That tm sometimes.

Archimedes is still around as Medic's pet. He's even represented in Medic's Keyblade, where you can see the head of a dove just above the hilt.

In Kingdom Hearts, the "Heart" of someone is pretty much just their soul. It's a metaphorical Heart that contains someone's hopes, dreams, memories, and willpower. The Heart is what gives someone their identity in Kingdom Hearts and the same is true for Fortress Hearts. If the Heart is removed, then it will be overwhelmed by Darkness and transform into a Heartless, which are demon-like creatures that serve as the main antagonists in KH. Under these circumstances, the body will just be left behind as an empty and emotionless husk, stuck in a coma-like state until the Heart can be returned to it.

In Kingdom Hearts, the Heart takes on the appearance of ball of light when left without a body.

This is the most basic Heartless that can form.

However, there is a small chance that when the Heart is released, the body that is left behind will become a Nobody, an empty vessel with no conscious thought and no clear identity. This only happens if the original person was strong-willed, however.

This is a basic Nobody that resembles empty clothing. The more powerful the Nobody, the closer they are to human in appearance.

Nobodies normally take the form of empty vessels of clothing/armor, but especially powerful Nobodies can retain the appearance they had when they were human. This is what happened with Team Fortress Classic (Which are Organization Classic in this). They were human up until they were hired by Gray Mann, at which point Gray turned them all into Nobodies, rearranged their names, and added an X. This is why Cheavy's name is Echavyx in this AU.

Thankfully, this wasn't true for Medic. When Echavyx attacked and removed Medic's Heart, the Heart immediately fled and sought out safety before it could turn into a Heartless. Medic's Heart ended up coming to Heavy for protection, and Medic's Heart now lays dormant inside Heavy. Think of it like Heavy now having two souls. It really doesn't have anything to do with the baboon heart.

Heavy can now wield his Keyblade alongside Medic's, which isn't normally possible. A Keyblade is tied to the Heart of its user, so someone can only ever wield one Keyblade. Heavy bypasses this rule because he technically has two Hearts, allowing him to duel wield Keyblades.

Because Medic's Heart immediately fled for safety, a Heartless wasn't created. Consequently, a Nobody wasn't able to form. So Medic's body is now in a coma-like state and is currently being held under containment in Gray Gravel Co., where Organization Classic is trying to track down his Heart, unaware of the fact that his Heart is safely within Heavy.

To be fair, this is all just an excuse to have some soft HeavyMedic content in the batshit insane world of Kingdom Hearts.
