Thank you
I just wanted to post a quick thank you to everyone who put up with my madness during the creation of my DBH Big Bang 2023 fanfiction.
This is going to be a long post, guys.
Everyone on the discord server, doesn't matter if they were taking part in the event or just cheering, were incredible and always willing to help if you got stuck or needed a little push to get going again.
That being said, I wanna thank a few people in particular for helping me get this fanfiction done.
First of all: @batbootie for beta reading almost the entire thing. Your comments really helped me flesh out the story and... correct my spelling and grammar. You've done an amazing job and you powered through the chapters, spamming me with notes. Thank you so much!
Also thank you to @timefliesinadream, @intheyellowandgreen and @mangabirdao3 for helping me out when I got stuck and needed help with the plot or got insecure about a scene.
Now to my two two incredible artists!
Thank you to @cptjh-arts working with you is always a joy and I love getting the little sneak peeks of your drawings! You didn't just create art, but you were also pushing me to keep going, cheering me on during the entire event. I love the art you created for my fic (and for the other bazillion other fics you managed to snatch). Keep being awesome :D
Thanks to @yvy-900 who created a lot of renders for my fanfiction, bringing so many scenes to live. You powered through the creation of these renders and I'm still amazed and in awe every time I look at them. Your renders are incredible and I enjoyed working with you. :)
I wanna end this post with a thank you to the mods of @dbh-bb2023 who organised the entire event and brought us all together. They did an incredible job organising and managing this horde of lunatics of event participants. Lunatics in the best way possible, of course! :D

If you haven't seen my fic yet, you can find it here.

Hi. I just wanted to say thank you for all the beautiful artwork that you create. I just got my wisdom teeth removed today, and I was super nervous about the whole thing. I went on to your Etsy and scrolled through your Chibi Positivity Stickers, and believe me when I tell you they definitely soothed me about the whole thing (especially the Engineer Mark ones; he's my favorite). I just wanted to reach out and say thanks for all that you do; you spread joy with every piece of artwork you create and you make a lot of people's days, including mine, when we scroll through your blog. Thank you, and have a wonderful rest of your day/night/whatever time of day you're in. -💙

This is SO sweet! Thank you so much! It really means a lot that my art can help anyone in anyway 💕 and it’s super motivating to keep drawing :3
Thank you for reaching out with your kind words! It really means a lot and brightens my day! 💕 I hope you heal quickly from your wisdom teeth removal, I know it can be a big surgery for some. I only had 2 small wisdom teeth so they just pulled mine out quick & easy in the dentist office lol
Thanks again! & have a lovely Day! 💕

Missed WIP Wednesday - but did knit yesterday on my “old town” sweater and got super perplexed when transitioning to the body. Turns out just gotta trust the pattern and rely on the FABULOUS notes from other ravelry users. Cheers to all y’all who make lovely notes.

Coffee Hour
Monday, 12/26/2022, Writing Thank You Notes
We tell people “Thank you” all the time. We send Group messages on social media thanking everyone for birthday wishes. We say “Thanks” a lot, because it really is pretty easy. But how about putting pen to paper --- not fingers to computer keyboard, but pen to card stock --- and actually saying something significant about what a gift, thought, or act meant to you? I don’t do that. I confess. I’m lazy. I’d rather tell you what I think, through a meme, than let you find out who I am with a personal note. Maybe this is a good day to change that.
Tumblr media
My Stunt Double du Jour assures me gravity and nature will allow the words I’m thinking to flow from my brain, down my arm and fingers, and out through the pen in my hand onto the paper or card stock on the desk. If I do my part (thinking --- what a concept!), words will form and the appreciation I feel in my heart will manifest themselves one way or another to those to whom I write.

Eat fish food or pee apple juice?
I feel like peeing ANY sort of liquid that isn't pee still wouldn't really be that much of a noticeable difference from normal, especially compared to eating something unusual. So in practice i'm not too sure that these two choices are equal. also would this choice be a one-time thing or like, forever? if the special peeing is only once then it'd be even less of a big deal. and if the eating fish food is forever then that'd be a ridiculously impactful life change. so either way i think apple pee is the clear choice here

How to Write Your Wedding Thank You Notes
Tumblr media
Planning your wedding is one of the best and most stressful experiences of your life, but there are plenty of ways to alleviate worry so you celebrate your wedding without an ominous to-do list overhead. One of the tasks that suddenly appears after your wedding is writing all your thank you notes.
If we're being honest with each other, thank you notes aren't quite the most exciting task to complete, even if etiquette and grandma dictate it.
Below are tips for writing wedding thank you notes so that it's less a stressful to-do and more so a reminder of your happy day.
1. Don't Write Your Notes All at Once
The number one piece of advice for couples when it comes to thank you notes is don't try to do them all at once because that can put you into a bit of paralysis.
Instead of waiting until after your wedding to write thank you notes, try writing them as you receive wedding gifts. If you write your notes a little at a time, the pressure and stress associated with sending them won't be as great.
2. Prioritize Certain Thank You Notes
Although all gifts are generous and appreciated on your wedding day, monetary gifts can be a sensitive matter and the sender will want to know that you received their gift. This doesn't mean that you prioritize certain family members or friends. Just be sure to send notes for any monetary gifts in your first batch of thank you notes.
3. Create a Dedicated Station
You can set up a work area in your home for writing thank you notes. This way the task doesn't pervade other areas of your home, and you have somewhere to be organized and efficient while working.
When you're purchasing initial supplies and paper goods for your wedding, also purchase thank you cards and stamps. This way you already have all the supplies needed to write thank you notes for gifts that arrive early.
4. Keep a Gift Journal
Writing thank you notes is less stressful if you already have a list noting who sent you which gift. Leading up to the wedding, you can set aside a journal and write down gifts as they arrive. As your schedule gets busier near your wedding date, you can always hand off the list to a family member, the maid of honor, or someone else in the bridal party.
5. Follow the Three-Step Writing Rule
Too often we think we have to write a full-on essay over and over again about how wonderful the person is, but, no, you just name the gift, say 'thank you for the ____, and then you can say something about it – either what you're going to do with it, or what you like about it.
If you address the person who gave you the gift, say thank you (of course!), and state what the gift was, then you're all set. The task doesn't have to be arduous.
In the case that you can't remember what a person gave you, but you are 100% certain that they gave you a gift, saying something about their thoughtfulness and generosity toward you. Don't tell the person that you can't remember what they gave you. You can leave out that bit of information to avoid any hurt feelings or awkwardness.
According to tradition, thank you notes should be sent within six months after a wedding. However, it's better to send a late thank you note than none at all.

I just reread Our Best Selves and I forget how fucking awesome that fic is! I love it! I also went through your tumblr and read the extras you’ve posted in that universe. Thanks again for writing it!
Thank YOU, Anon! Our Best Selves is honestly one of my favorite stories I've written. I kind of can't believe I've barely revisited it, but it feels like a hard thing to follow-up on since I do love it so much.
