would love to hear more about the skinny/speirs confrontation 👀 (I'm sure other would too so feel free to answer publicly)

Ok I did not actually anticipate ppl being interested HAHAHAH but since ya'll asked nicely (@ep6bastogne and @hellofanidea mWAH to you too), here it is under the cut.

Ok so like. Understandably, people are more focused on Web and Lieb when it comes to the mountain top scene and that's perfectly fine. They're the ones I first thought about too. But then the more I watched that scene, the more I nyoomed in on two details: 1) It is implied that Speirs personally gave the order for Liebgott to go up there and deal with the officer, and 2) Skinny is the one who ends up pulling the trigger.

Which brings me to like. This fic I started planning in my head but couldn't quite write down because I am. Lazy. Anyway, it follows several plot points:

1) This is piggyback riding off my meta that Ron had ulterior motives to sending Liebgott up the mountain, which I have outlined in this post. TL;DR Ron used Lieb's anger (and to some extent, Web's too-- in my head, he heard about the incident with the baker in ep9, and he wanted to exploit that, not anticipating that Web's own self-preservation (of both his own person and morals) would get in the way) to do his dirty work, knowing that he wouldn't be questioned because of his position and because of said anger blindsiding all logic Lieb might have.

2) Skinny somehow knows this. He's more intuitive that people give him credit for. If Ron handpicked Lieb and Web because he knew, at least to some extent, that their anger would push them to do what he wants, then what the hell was Skinny doing there?

3) That question will haunt Skinny for awhile. Because why did Ron know, somehow, that Skinny would pull the trigger when either Lieb or Web could not? What anger and violence did Ron see in Skinny that made him think: "ah, yes, him; that's my killer of killers"? And most importantly, why did Skinny prove him right?

This is very much informed by how irl Skinny's PTSD was very much centered on the people he killed as a soldier (as opposed to people he lost). He's constantly cited in his writings and his letters that he felt unforgivable. So it isn't a massive leap for me to go yeah!! that boy killed an unarmed man (albeit a nazi, but I don't think even that could help him justify this) and then was later present when Web says "war's over, anyone would run" which no doubt would add to his already guilty conscience.

Add all of that together, and you have a recipe for a very traumatized lost boy wondering if maybe he's carrying a monster inside of him, and if maybe Ron could see it.

4) the answer, in the end, is that Ron couldn't see it. This was the dialogue I wrote first, and it has had me by the balls ever since:

"So why me? What did you see in me that was so twisted and cruel that you decided I should be up there, huh? Tell me!"

"... Nothing. I just needed a third man."

5) anyway. Ronald does, finally, admit to having used Lieb and Web to get what he wants. But Skinny doesn't care, because all he hears is that he's collateral damage. And that's not quite as comforting as Ron thinks it is.

**another plot point I have listed but couldn't really put anywhere in this weird ass list: there's also some cognitive dissonance sprinkled in there-- Skinny could justify Lieb and Web's reactions. He'd say Lieb has the right to do it. He'd also say Web's attempt at perserving himself as wise. it's important to note that Skinny went into this with the mindset that he was already unforgivable from the beginning. this just exacerbated it, but also gave him somebody who could probably answer his questions (i.e. am I really unforgivable? am I rreally a monster? am I a murderer? etc etc).

I think Carlos may have a soft spot for Charles and I'm not saying this because I ship them. Carlos is always so considerate and thoughtful with him and he always seems very attuned to his needs as well. I often think about Singapore last year, because that race was right after Monza and after Carlos' mother liked that tweet about Charles and honour; you could see there was a strange air surrounding them and Carlos was glued to Charles the whole weekend but in a very discreet manner, always making sure to give him enough space. He also didn't miss the opportunity to reassure Charles that he does like his teammate (during the fan meeting with the Alpine drivers) and you can see in the clip that Charles was visibly relieved. As for Charles, before the announcement (that's how we're gonna refer to it I guess) I too thought that Charles didn't care about Carlos as much as Carlos cares about him, but boy was I wrong… They both care about the other a whole lot and it will be hard to see them part ways at the end of the season

I'm with you on this 100%. You know, after the Monza incident there was so much speculation in fandom, and then Singapore happened and we were all like, running in circles because we thought Charles was furious. I even wrote a whole fic around it because I really felt the tension, and I wasn't the only one, the Monza thing awakened a lot of feelings in a lot of people 😂 But, funnily enough, it all went away soon after. Around that fan forum you mentioned and, for example, in COTA; they were all cozy around each other all over again. They were calling each other pet names, they did the lasso thing... I think they patched it all up right around Japan. I'm willing to bet Carlos apologized to Charles about his mother's faux pas. Because he's not his mother, and Charles knows this, but Carlos still wanted to make a point to apologize to him because it wasn't nice. Especially since both of them were very much enjoying their fight on track during Monza! I do believe that Carlos was a bit affronted but when he got out of the car and Charles was looking ecstatic, he just let it go. Immediately. He'd (we'd) never seen Charles behaving like that after a race, he was elated. Which shows us, once again, that Charles really loves Carlos as a teammate and as a competitor. He does see him as his ultimate rival, in the end what's the saying? Your teammate is your biggest competitor? And that's them. There's incredible amounts of respect between each other.

And they got closer, even, after COTA and after Qatar, I'm willing to bet. They looked so close in Mexico and Interlagos, and then Vegas... like the whole united front thing looked absolutely compelling and real. They were spending a lot of time off-track together, too. I think that after Monza, they had a lot of talks. Either about life or the team, (Charles does like to insist on telling us they talk about a lot more than work whenever they do spend time together off-track) and I firmly believe they reached a point in which their friendship bloomed. They probably found common ground somewhere and decided, well, if they fans are going to constantly pit us against each other, then let's show them how wrong they are. Unfortunately we didn't get much from Charles after Carlos got hurt during the Vegas practice, but still. He was close to Carlos. Very, very close, and they behaved really sweetly towards each other during that weekend and Carlos really did lament several times that he wasn't close to Charles on track to fight the Red Bulls because of the car. I don't know, anon, if at some point I was a Charlos believer now I'm a Charlos truther because they've shown me time and time again that they genuinely like each other. As people, as teammates, as rivals. They admire and respect each other! We can't forget (we'll never forget) that time Carlos admitted to following Charles' carreer in F2. It's etched into the collective brain of the Charlos fandom. So... Yeah. Carlos Sainz Jr. having a soft spot for Charles Leclerc and his pretty eyes? Checks out. Also: the fact that Charles lets Carlos be his touchy self with him when he wasn't this tactile with any of his previous teammates says... a lot about Carlos' magnetism and power of conviction. Because he never moves away or rejects him, he's always open and waiting for Carlos to touch him. So. It's a win in all fronts tbh.

okay so basically one of my all time favourite headcanons for luke (and there are MANY lol) are about his scars!

so like, lukes scars themselves are a wildly accepted headcanon (that in return of the jedi when palpatine uses force lightning on him it leaves being a series of lightning scars all over his torso/arms) and like i adore the concept of a hero not walking away unscathed, ya know? so i love his scars, but where MY personal favourite headcanon comes in is the aftermath of them

i love the idea of lukes scars like… reacting to the force? like cause they are a product of the force that whenever he connects and uses the force his scars just alight like maybe not literally (or maybe literally too 👀) but like there’s this hot, crackling pull that travels across his scars like leylines whenever he uses his power and like i don’t think of it as painful (or maybe it is when he pushes himself too far, goes too deep into the force, and im gonna make this dinluke for a moment but i just love the idea that in those moments din will almost reverently touch his scars and massage them for luke to ease the pain) but it’s more like this itch of pure energy and power and like when there are great disturbances within the force he feels it in his scars first

Could you please, explain the inspiration behind the robots Robin just obliterated?

It’s a pretty curious design, the head specially, reminds me of Pyramid head in that part but also, in some way, to the spaghetti robots in infinity train? Idk how my brain works.

They don’t seem to be like, fighter robots? More like just normal crew robots. Also, why do they sound British? They have a British accent in my head, why.

I am gonna reveal as much as I can, the spaceship is based off an old western wheel and has a horseshoe, so these guys are shaped like robo cowboys (the fringe, the stirups whattnot)

The triangle was yes, inspired by piramid head actually! And are you reading my sketchbok post its??? Cause the wires were entirely based on the wire bot from infinity train (fucking love that thing)

The triangle thingy at its core is a cowboy hat, I wanted to have its tilt be how the design can express different things

I tried to convey a sort of southern cowboy accent, but actually? British is fucking hilarious, imagine a fucking sowboy robot comming up to you like "tea my good sir? Some bickies for your troubles?"

would also match the inspiration for the entire setting of this comic (red dwarf ->fucked up dudes in space sci-fi sitcom)

Hello! I noticed that there's a relationship point that can increase and decrease with the characters. For the love interest, does that effect their romance point? As in, if we have low relationship points does that mean we can't romance them?

i am very much still debating this! i want to get to a point where maybe you could lock in your RO? but i know some people aren't really into that, so i don't know :(

it'd be much easier writing wise for me, and i think it'd be cool to treat them as actual people. like, people don't get in relationships with people they don't like ... so why would the characters!!

“rahh they shouldn’t have sent the dragons away for their own safety! they were giving up and admitting defeat! they can easily take any threat!” first off, no they can’t, hiccup basically fell to his death like two seconds before sending the dragons away, and the year before that the fight over dragons cost him his father and berk its chief, not to mention how many homes were destroyed and how many ppl were hurt in both the second and third movies. drago’s bewilderbeast’s ice destroyed the village. grimmel burned it down a year later. that kind of perpetuity of violence is so irresponsible for a leader to allow to continue indefinitely???? just bc “we can win though probably!” ?????? things are different in the earlier movies and tv shows BC THEY SHOW THE PROGRESSION OF VIOLENCE. after the first battle, they’re not gonna give up trying. after the third battle, they’re not gonna give up trying. after six YEARS of trying to change the world for the better (and the TWENTY YEARS hiccup knows valka spent trying to do the same thing), only to find that his island of people and dragons is in just as much (or really, even more) danger than before? yeah, excuse them for maybe considering “giving up.” in the first two movies and the shows, they hadn’t lost enough for it all to amount to such a drastic decision. by the time of thw, they had lost so much, and u guys apparently can’t comprehend the toll that takes. hiccup’s goal was always to protect dragons. how is leaving them vulnerable protecting them???? how is letting them continuously battle for their lives protecting them??? do u guys think these ppl and dragons have an endless battery for war and violence?????? the point was that violence was unavoidable, and no good leader of humans or dragons would let that continue even if there’s a noble cause.

I'm gonna talk about little critter first cause spider jumpscare, but my favorite little guy is the american woodcock, or timberdoodle! They do a silly swaying dance even as chicks, and make a small 'beep' noise for their call!

as for spider, right now my favorite is the brown tarantula, mainly because I can go outside and pick a fluffy one up if I wanted to. But they're more interesting to watch.

yo guys it's nearly 2024 (for me at least)

soooooo aaaaah pretty damn eventful year huh? lotta stuff happened! some of it extremely exciting for me, some of it extremely not good!!

buuuuut these last few months have been, some of the most insane and crazy months i've had in a very, very long time. i moved myself entirely off of instagram and started posting my art here in August of this year, and, can i just say something?

the amount of support you've all been giving to me in such a short span of time has been nothing short of absolutely insane to me, and i cannot thank each and every one of you enough. you're all so freaking nice and kind and awesome and i mean that!!! i never would've imagined getting to meet up and talk with so many amazing artist and fellow users and i just. i already feel myself wanting to tear up just saying this but, i love all of you guys so much. (platonically of course!!!!)

i already screamed about a bunch of you the other day so i won't bother you guys too much, just wanted to let you all know how much you mean to me okay?? i hope all of you are doing so good right now and if you're not, that's okay. next year will be better alright? we've all got each other here so let's take care and support ourselves 👍👍

Psssssssst. Hi. I wish to know about ur au with the Injured Messenger I am extremely intrigued. Dead people hell yea

YAY! INTEREST ABOUT MY CHILDREN! This is a very long post cos I ramble a lot lmao

So my au starts with a bunch of sky kids falling down from the stars (presumably after eden) and a new moth joining them, one of the sky kids crashes into the moth, and knocks them wildly off course, causing them to crash into wasteland.

After crashing into wasteland with no idea what they're meant to be doing, the moth, who I like to refer to as "Local Baby", ends up wandering the outskirts of wasteland til they come across darkness. Before realising what it is, they're initially fascinated, finding it beautiful, until their sky kid instincts kick in and they realise "oh this stuff is probably bad". (This is another theme I want to explore in this au too, about how darkness can be beautiful, and how not everything to do with darkness is inherently evil, but that's just a want rn)

Thats when they realise something is under the darkness, they pull at the darkness with their hands (too baby to know how to use a candle yet) until the something is revealed, a dormant spirit (Messenger). Since they dont know how to use a candle (and quite frankly have no idea whats causing their new friend to be made of stone, only that "yay new friend :D") they attempt to wake them up, fail, and just kinda, lie down next to them and fall asleep.

Sky kids, unlike spirits, are a powerful source of light. Even without candle use, kinda sitting next to one for 8 hours is good enough to wake up a spirit. So Messenger wakes up. Initally confused about why they were face down in the dirt, they turn to see the Local Baby staring at them. At first they're like "A child??" before realising "A SKY KID????"

They question why (and how) the sky kid got there, until they realise what happened. This sky kid has just been born, has no clue what anything is, and most importantly, has no wing level.

This is where lore gets interesting for spirits and wing levels. Spirits can fly, but their method of getting wing levels is different than sky kids. A sky kid gains winged light by recollecting their memories, either of past lives they no longer identify with (like our moth here) or simply re-remembering memories they already know (like how our sky kids work). These memories show up in physical form to them as Winged Light, but spirits cant see them.

Spirits gain wing levels differently. Spirits gain wing levels via sky kids, specifically, sky kids who fall down from the stars not fully formed, or perish on the fall. Kind of like being stillborn, or not simply dying shortly after birth. Spirits can absorb the high concentrates of light these sky kids to gain a wing level (this act being referred to as catching stars), but this is very rare, especially in places that don't see as much light (ie wasteland and forest).

Messenger ends up freaking out and realising they still have stuff to deliver, and they cant dilly dally, until a sharp pain strikes them in their stomach and they fall to their knees, remembering "OH YEAH I GOT STABBED BY A SPEAR". Local Baby notices and goes up to them, touching them, and the pain seems to fade. They assume that, the sky kid healed them using the power of light (they didnt) and thank them. In reality this was just Local Baby viewing Messenger's memory, like in the actual game.

Since Messenger needs to deliver things to Vault anyway (a neutral zone from the war) they decide to take the baby along, so they can get somewhere safe where they wont have to worry that someone will take this baby and harvest them for their light.

After this my ideas for this au are a lot less set in stone. I have some general plot beats set out, Messenger and Local Baby walk for a few days until hitting an abandoned outpost, taking an old boat they find, and flying it over to the temple where they arrive from the left (a usually cloud blocked area in game). Messenger sees the aftermath, wound hurts again, Baby helps. They get into vault, some other sky kid accidentally reveals to Messenger that they're dead, they try not to cry. Baby gets their first WL maybe, stuff happens from there idk. They also probably got krilled at some point, well, almost krilled (Yay Messenger for saving their child!!)

As well as some other general lore, like Sky kids eating light as food (and also just fucking biting down into candles sometimes cos i think thats funny), Local Baby only remembering how to get their candle out after getting a WL (because WL are memories and they have no memories nor braincells). Messenger not eating at all because they're dead and not realising cos they're too distracted with the child and/or assuming the sky kid did this to them (things aren't really known about sky kids, so they just kinda go along with it). Sky kids needing to light each other to understand each other, but spirits being able to understand just fine. A lot of minor stuff really I guess.

I'm also currently in the middle of doing some art of them in wasteland because I love them!

I could probably Google this, but I figured I'd ask the resident Kip expert, when exactly did he start wearing the box and sitting in the crowd? I heard he did it for a long time, but he stopped shortly after I became aware of him doing it, and I hadn't been watching AEW for very long so I think he started before I had even began watching.

aaaa thank you for asking! honestly the boxman era is my favorite one, cryptid man my beloved, so i definitely have an answer on this for you!!

so for a little bit of background, kip got out of action around may 2021 with a shoulder injury that took him out for like a solid 12 months (i think that was the original timeline after which he was cleared to return to the ring, however they took a few more months to introduce him back to the programming). during the time he struggled with mental health stuff a lot along with recovery and other physical issues as at this point he was pre-diabetic etc., so it just kinda left its mark on him and his mental health negatively, which he then forwarded into his creativity to deal with it - hence how the boxman was originally born (at this point without a box, but the building blocks for the character were there), as it was his character to project all those negative feelings into to create this kind of like mentally scarred horror villain creature it was originally supposed to be

the box itself came around september 2021 when he was allowed back to the shows to just do his character thing and hang out in the venues - he says he took a lot of inspiration from shia labeouf with his "im not famous anymore" bag thing and wanted to do something similar, but at the time couldnt find a bag so he got a box on the way to the venue and scribbled the text and designs on it on the go. and then tk allowed him to just hang around, do these unadvertised meet and greets with fans, and slowly around the beginning of 2022 he moved into sitting in the crowds. at first it was less obvious and then week by week he moved closer to the front row, placed himself strategically with camera angles etc. until he returned in late august by attacking pac while having a fakeout boxman sitting in the crowd for him

andddd tragically somewhere before 2023 we lost the box in an accident (i think the story is that it got lost backstage and someone from the cleaning crew threw it out, but its unconfirmed? alternatively it might have gotten lost when they moved houses at that point idk) and its been gone since. however kip has been talking and teasing about bringing it back so. we wait. impatiently 👀

i let a stranger catch a tapu lele that was bothering me on my beach and as thanks they upgraded all my armour to netherite (i'd been walking around in mismatched iron and diamond armour) and got me a bunch of enchantment books. peace and love on planet earth

I meant to share this earlier, but with everything going on, I forgot (oops! 🫢) But I wanted to just pause and thank you all for all your kind words and well-wishes this last week in my attempt at an interview. I was shocked to discover that it went well (much to my surprise if I can be honest, lol) and they want to hire me!
