I'm a bit lost right now, and thought I could ask for a bit of help. My fourteen year old daughter has expressed that she's very interested in raising a pokémon, so my wife and I are trying to research good beginner pokémon. A lot of the things we can find reccommend starter pokémon, but my daughter isn't interested in being a trainer and a lot of them seem to have pretty high needs as they grow. Most other suggestions are for feline and canine pokémon or bugs, but my wife is allergic and I'm terrified of bugs. I really want my daughter to be able to raise a pokémon, but I'm getting worried that there aren't any options that would be a good fit. Do you have any suggestions?
thanks for helping your daughter research the best fit for her! thankfully, there are plenty of great options for someone looking to keep a relatively easier pokemon to raise. of course, your options are going to depend on what region you're in, but here are some ideas to get you started!
small rodents and lagomorph pokemon are often great pets, though keep in mind that rodent pokemon are pretty universally social and will need at least one companion. these are pokemon like rattata, pawmi, bunnelby, azurill, and pichu.
some first stage bird pokemon also make really lovely companions. i personally have three pidove! other great choices are pidgey, starly, and swablu- but these guys are again very social and need a companion pokemon.
if your daughter is interested and willing to do some extra care prep, there are some fish, amphibian, and reptilian pokemon that can make great pets (magikarp and poliwag come to mind!), but oftentimes they need a specialized enclosure, and the setup can be more expensive.
there are also some traditional starter pokemon that are more suited to home life. i'd never recommend a charmander or totodile as a housepet, but a sobble or turtwig can live quite happily in a home!
your best bet for more specific recommendations is to reach out to a professor in your region, but this will at least give you an idea of where to start!

This is my Miku pokemon trainer tier list
For this tier list its both my favorites and what i consider a very good miku design
Of course all of them are good miku designs but some shine above the rest
S tier- my absolute favorites Bug miku is so classy, so well thought out, and i think the brown looks amazing with her teal. Shes everything A close tie with bug miku is Ice miku her hair is everything to me im in complete love with this sharp miku. Water Miku is basic but that's all she needs in lovely simplicity, truly feeling like Miku in this world as a water trainer especially with her tan lines from her original outfit it feels like this is her off time from being an idol! Steel Miku had my heart as soon as I saw her with Jirachi. Which was my favorite pokemon when I was a child [it was prior before i even had any pokemon games of my own and only watched the movies] The colors, the motif of star, the hat and the hair its all wonderful to me!
A tier- Amazingly done concepts and totally miku! Rock Miku's dress and veil is lovely, i love they incorporated the veil as mock pigtails. If this was the verison of her without the dress then she would have been in S tier. I love the jester look but thats my own personal preference. She also reminds me of diance with the dress.
Tumblr media
Flying Miku is gorgeous, the wispy hair, the translucent areas to mimic clouds and mist. It's an amazing concept and wonderfully executed design! Fairy miku i know is everyones favorite and it's obvious to see why, shes adorable and cute and I too would love to draw her. She has that appeal to her down to a T. Fighting Miku is something i've been waiting for this whole time. Of course no way they could do a pokemon collab with miku and not include farfetch'd! It's a sleek and simple design that takes traits of the original miku's outfit and tweaks them. Though she does kind of remind me of maka from soul eater just a small bit.
B tier- Great concepts! Electric Miku's lightening pigtails are so cute she looks like a little adventure/farmer of currents. She stands on her own as a design and as a tie to miku. Poison type Miku i would have done the same doing mucky/slime twintails though i probably wouldn't have thought to use the new alolan muk which is a very good look and helps add in the colors. It's a great design and while i wouldve put her in A tier some of her design elements hold me off. This is a top tier character design though trust me Dark Miku, i love she came with obstagoon. Though at first i couldnt even tell if miku had pigtails in the artwork. This reminds me just of a nice miku for a cover of an existing song which is not bad it's just how it feels. Normal type miku has good colors, shes paired with an active singing pokemon and while it's simple I think it conveys miku well enough. Though she keeps reminding me of the oversaturated stereotype of early 90s fashion. now on Ghost miku, shes higher than i'd actually put her but for her concept and simplicity of staying to miku but as a glitched out ghost version of her i do have to give props to that even if i find it more on the plain side. I think they succeeded in what was necessary even though this portrays miku AS the ghost instead of just a ghost trainer. ....honestly now that i type my words i feel like i was right and shouldve stuck with her in C tier.
C tier- too basic for my tastes yet still well done Grass miku is cute and all but if you told me she was unrelated to miku, i could believe you. Just that it'd be a fandom joke to call her 'green miku'
Fire miku, reminds me all too much of the anniversary miku song and im sure thats where they got part of the insipration from it but it doesnt really do much for me combined with the fire aspect and how her hair is shaped. I know its to mimic the pokemon shes with its just personal taste on that one. The silhoutte is good.
Ground type miku i had to keep looking up because i forget what shes supposed to be numerous times. Same case with grass miku, i could see someone telling me shes from x thing and unrelated to miku. I'm just not a fan of the design and colors but it's well done. I know when something is just my subjective taste rather than poorly done.
Dragon miku while i'm not the biggest fan of all the cowlicks going down the twintails i know it's purpose is there to mimic the spiked tail of a traditional dragon and i wouldn't want them removed. I think i especially just don't like the tacked on half shawl cape it feels disjointed. Yet i find its a nice concept they did both an almost knight look for her as dragon as always with the concept of knights and dragons battling. Now the knight trainer is battling with the dragon as comrades.
Psychic type miku- i think they started with the least interesting and noteworthy one honestly. It just looks, kind of uninspired but thats rude to say. I know shes here to fufill the concept of miku as a trainer in pokemon and well it just looks like she's her own trainer class that'd have multiple running around looking the same instead of a stand out like a rival or a gym leader in game.

Can you please do an overprotective pet-like concept for my favorite Pokemon, Volcarona? I just think they're neat 🔥🦋
I'd love to! Here you go!
Overprotective! Volcarona Concept
Pairing: Platonic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Overprotective Pokemon, Murder, Clingy Pokemon, Kidnapping, Isolation, Possessive behavior, Violence, Forced companionship.
Tumblr media
Volcarona is a Bug/Fire type Pokemon who was thought to be some sort of Sun Deity.
This Pokemon is not legendary yet considered rare in some regions.
At least when it comes to Unova….
The scales that drop from this Pokemon when it flies carry warmth like fire.
As a result this Pokemon is usually favored by people in colder areas.
You may have met your Volcarona in Relic Castle.
This place is a set of ruins deep in the Desert Resort of Unova, the region this Pokemon was introduced in.
You probably took your team in for some exploring and training.
That or you heard the rumors that there was an elusive Pokemon here.
When you eventually explore the ruins to the bottom floor you're greeted by a shrine.
On the walls is old art and depictions of a fire moth Pokemon thought to be like the sun.
Volcarona was worshiped by ancient civilizations due to its association with the sun.
The art on the walls is your first hint that you stumbled upon a sacred area.
Your next hint is hearing the cry of a Pokemon, only to turn and see a fully mature Volcarona.
This Pokemon is quite strong, as in the game this Pokemon is Level 70.
Battling it almost feels like a test.
Considering how this Pokemon used to be considered a holy symbol, it probably is.
But by the end of the battle it allows you to catch it.
After all, if you're so strong… it'll be worth listening to you.
Out of curiosity you find yourself interacting with the fire moth after you add it to your main team.
This begins your bond with it.
However… It also begins the start of a travesty.
At first, Volcarona listens to every command you give.
The Pokemon is receptive to your touch, it softly lets out a cry as you comb your fingers through the warm hair/fur on its body.
You don't expect it to do anything bad.
If anything it's just a cute sun moth with surprising power in battle.
For the most part it's docile before it's too attached.
Although the longer you train it, pet it, care for it… things start changing.
Your Volcarona expresses aggression during double or triple battles, not just towards enemies but your own team too.
The Pokemon never wants to go in its ball either.
Volcarona always wants to stay out of the ball, sticking close enough to you that you can feel the heat radiating off it.
The moth gets continuously clingy the longer it's with you.
Normally you could find a way to resolve the issue.
However things quickly take a turn for the worst.
Volcarona starts expressing agitation towards other trainers, even friends and family.
The Pokemon even seems to be oddly possessive of you.
Ironically because they're both fire types, this may end similarly to the Houndoom concept I made.
Something sets off the Pokemon and they leave in the middle of the night.
By the time you awake there's the smell of flames and burning wood.
When you open your eyes there's houses on fire.
You begin to panic but freeze when you see your Volcarona tilting its head, gently flying in front of you.
You're not stupid, you know it caused this.
Yet before you can try and flee, Volcarona uses a non-lethal move to tucker you out again.
Then the moth abandons your other Pokemon, dragging its trainer away.
Where is it going? Back home, of course.
When you awake you feel sand on your skin.
You're back where it all began, except this time you're much weaker.
You're at the shrine with Volcarona hovering over you.
Upon seeing you awake it lets out an excited cry before cuddling into you.
The warmth is soothing… yet you know what happened.
The sight of a flaming sea… the smell of burning wood and flesh… Volcarona in it all…
You no longer trust the moth.
But you can't escape it.
You have no other Pokemon… plus, Volcarona has other plans.
It doesn't plan on letting you leave.
Even if it means it'll have to use a move like Giga Drain on its dear trainer again.

Thanks to your blog, I've recently developed a fond love for bug types! I'd love to hear some fun facts on Cutiefly when you have the time
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you like bug types now too, since a lot of people are scared of them. Nice to have another person who loves them <3
Cutiefly Facts
Tumblr media
(Art by Sarah Yager in Dribble)
-The scientific name for Cutiefly is
"Bombylius cerinthus" which roughly translates to "bee-bread bumblebee"
-While they share a lot of similarities to the Combee line, Cutiefly aren't actually related and Cutiefly are actually in their own family called the Bombyliidae family
-Cutiefly are most commonly found in gardens and meadows, making their homes with other Cutiefly and Ribombee. They don't make hives and instead will form small groups together in logs or tree hollows
-Cutiefly in Galar often fly over to Gossifluer, trying to take some of their pollen. Gossifluer don't appreciate this much
-Sometimes, Cutiefly will eat so much pollen that they fall asleep in the flowers
-The Cutiefly in Alola are the biggest as they have the largest flowers to eat from
-Cutiefly and Ribombee have the same aura sensing abilities of Riolu and Lucario, but they're a lot weaker and only work on things like plants and some of their trainer's strong emotions. Apparently, when someone is excited, their aura resembles a flower in full bloom, which leads Cutiefly to gather around them. Researchers are still studying how aura can affect other things as well, and if there's a way for us to literally see it, like Lucario and Cutiefly can
Tumblr media
-Cutiefly are hunted by pokemon like Lurantis, Spinarak, Pineco, and practically all bird-mon
-Like Yanma, Cutiefly can fly forward, backward, and sideways, all while facing the same direction
-While they enjoy Pollen and Nectar, Cutiefly also enjoy foods that are high in sugar, like Gatorade and fruit punch
-Cutiefly often swarm around Butterfree in fear that Butterfree will eat all of the pollen. But, this is only trained behavior, and it is safe to have both a Cutiefly and a Butterfree
-Cutiefly will often lay up to 15 small eggs at a time (gotta produce a lot when everything is hunting you)
-Cutiefly have an aversion to any kind of water since getting wet can make them have trouble flying, which is their only means of escaping predators. They get water from the nectar and fruit juice they drink from

because of this by @gomzdrawfr, have my 141 in pokemon thoughts
Tumblr media
For some reason I imagine Price with kinda tanky or bulky-looking pokemon like Conkeldurr or Pangoro, but as a gym leader, ouh. I think of him with more sturdy type pokemon, so like rock, steel, or dragon. Cuz I imagine it'll be hard to take him down with a simple or normal attack like you gotta him where it hurts
Lickitung with Soap. I don't know why, the vibes fit each other, but I'm also thinking of pokemon that have high speed and accuracy stats (befitting to his callsign origins hehe). While flying type pokemon have the highest average speed stat, Soap has an Electric or Normal type vibe to him if he had his own gym, so maybe a Stoutland or Boltund. Typhlosion would be a good main for him as a trainer
Gaz's gym as flying type gym (get it cuz...helicopter 🤡), but it'd be interesting to see him have a Bug gym. He'd have a really cool Farfetch'd as a trainer though. Though if he were following Price's footsteps, I would say ground or fighting. Fighting type pokemon all have this strong and courageous vibe that's similar to Gaz and I'd like to think he'd do ground so it's relating to rock but still his own thing (and totally not cuz I get the two confused cough) He would look so cool with a Lucario or Heracross though.
Ghost definitely had a Duskull and Marowak both as a trainer and gym leader since both Pokemon rock the skull theme he has. And just the general Dark or Ghost pokemon all have this mysterious or serious vibe to them mostly. While Dark or Ghost type gyms play more to his vibe, I can see him having a Steel Gym. Very strong and stern. Bronzong would look cool as his steel main.
Tumblr media
A/N: Rereading this and I think the worms were thinking 141 as Gym Leaders instead of trainers. Maybe I'll make another post about them as trainers next time

I love aimless cuddling but had a thought about submas in undertale?? Like what would they look like, what their attacks may be?
lions you put a Bug into my head. is that an expression in english, that might be a worm. Like, earworm but for a thought. ANYWAYS
They're still somewhat humanoid bcs they're still fundamentally Human in pokemon so I wanted to keep that BUT BUT BUT I couldn't bear completely divorcing them from their pokemon so they get attributes from their pokemon SO THAT MEANS...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ELEMENTALS! *dodges a shoe for drawing yet another fire elemental* shh shh shh i still wanted to keep them being similar to each other so elementals were obvious choice
as for their attacks, Ingo would have stuff more coming from the bottom, and a meandering sort of fire. And Emmet would have attacks coming from the top and waves of electricity. When together, Ingo's attacks could also turn orange and Emmet's blue!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'd like to think they're running a battle club or something so they're very experienced about this (hi i think abt battles being a way for monsters to communicate Often), but despite being asked to join the guard several times they just Don't Want To. similar to how they're not in the league in pokemon but still very much high-level trainers. This also comes to - they'd be willing to fight you in pacifist routes as some sort of an optional boss, together, of course. They make it clear it's a sparring match For Fun from the beginning and would always stop before knocking your HP to zero (my Papyrus bias isn't showing). They'd also lay down their own conditions for sparing bare. SAFETY CHECK!
SPARING conditions would either knocking them both down enough (they'd each tell you when to stop, respectively), or outlasting a certain number of turns (that'd be the yellow credits sparing condition, as their attacks would ramp up with difficulty each turn).
If you dust either the second one becomes VERY distraught and attacks would become much more erratic and hard to dodge, and also lose their color element. not sparable at that point. like. congratz you killed one of the twins.
Also they're still running a train (magic, of course) through the CORE, hotlands and New Home, because they still do need to be silly train men.
* Welcome to the path under the Underground! * The Sub-Way.

What’s yer opinion on poison types? Ya know, as a Fairy specialist?
-@rockstar-roxie
Oh, as both a psychic and fairy trainer I've found them abhorrent. They represent everything I don't enjoy in a pokemon- not a one of them isn't either putrid smelling, slimy, or inexplicably aggressive. I had an unpleasant encounter with a Stunky during my gym challenge... it's an experience I'd rather not repeat. Poison type pokemon and I certainly don't see eye to eye.
...Well, that's not entirely true. I suppose I don't mind Weezing (the kind we have in Galar, not those awful Kantonian ones) and I do admire the grace and efficiency of Roserade.
Anyway, for good measure, let's get straight just which types I'm not fond of- bug, dark, poison, steel, dragon, and ground types have never endeared me

Hey there! Wait, I should probably use a traditional Paldean Greeting. Let's try agian.
'Ello, 'ello, hola! Ciao and bonjour! Yeah, that's right. Man, you Paldeans sure are weird. Can't believe you say that every time you greet eachother, its so long.
Anyways, hey, I'm Zinnia, just a traveling Pokemon trainer dreaming of taking a little trip into space. I'm also, as it happens, a one hund-er-ed precent gen-u-ine Draconid Lorekeeper. Please, save your applause.
I've been hit with the travel bug again and I was thinking of trying someplace new. I've already been to Unova and Sinnoh a bunch so I was thinking why don't I try Paldea. And, since your school's got the largest library in the region, I've just gotta visit and see what you've got. I love a good story, you get me?
I can't just waltz in and take a look, though. I mean, I could, but that'd be real rude. And what kinda Lorekeeper would I be if I read and ran? So I was thinking we could do a little equivalent exchange. I get full access to your library and in exchange maybe I could give a guest lecture or three on Hoenn history. It's a win-win. I get to read books and share knowledge and you get an extra history teacher for a bit.
Course, I know you can't okay this. After all, you're just Clive, totally normal and radical student, but I'd be totally down to schedule an appointment. with the Director And by schedule an appointment i mean I broke into his office five minutes ago and am currently sitting in his chair. I'd advise changing the locks but that really wouldn't help.
-Zinnia, Lorekeeper of the Draconid People (@last-lorekeeper)
Why hello there, Lorekeeper Zinnia! ...That catchphrase is pretty much just Iono around these parts, but hey, can't blame you! It's trendy.
We'd be happy to do a library loan of any sort to you regardless of the state of the situation, buuuuut I do in fact see you are in the director's chair. So I can certainly... expedite that meeting for you. Cultural exchange is pretty sick, anyways! I'm sure there won't be any major challenges. Ms. Raifort would surely indulge some learning directly from the source!
...Clavell will be right over.

I know this question is kinda random but do you have a special design in mind for Kana? honestly I'd be curious to see something from her or hear more about her as she and Akari don't get along with each other.
I know she probably just exist to be a pain in Akaris and Ingos side but some side lore would be fun. Nothing making her redeemable but just some random stuff about her.
Ooh!! I love this ask, it gives me a chance to talk about her!! ^^ thank you anon!!
In my head, I always imagined her like the Galaxy Team NPCs below, but in a survey corps uniform instead. If given the chance, I’d probably give her a unique hairstyle though.
Tumblr media
As for some of her lore, I have her team here!! I have reasons for all of them. She has ended up leaning towards the Bug-Type, with them making up most of her team.
Just like Akari’s team, I have reasons for these!! I’ll use her team to show a bit about her.
Tumblr media
Mime Jr.
The first pokemon she caught in the fieldlands, her partner who isn’t very good at actually fighting. Just like how Mime Jr. habitually mimics people, Kana is prone to mimicking others’ solutions rather than finding her own methods. She’s strong and a successful trainer, but only because she takes the paths that others have already paved themselves strength-wise, like Zisu initially, then Akari.
Heracross
A Pokémon she caught simultaneously with Vespiquen (who was a combee back then). Heracross are said to be strong, proud of their power, and show it off against opponents. They also try to knock aside their own kind to hoard valuable things they find, like nectar. Kana knows she’s strong, is apt to show it off, and tries to knock others aside for what she wants (such as trying to get Zisu’s position).
Vespiquen
Caught as a combee alongside Heracross while the two were distracted fighting over honey. Vespiquen are known to have their loyal combee fight for them so they don’t have to. While Kana isn’t exactly uncaring for her pokemon, she does look at them as tools of strength to use. The stronger her Pokémon, the stronger she is. Also representative of her dynamic with her friend Miki, another Galaxy Team member who tends to do what she says.
Whiscash (Alpha) (Akari has named her Whiskers)
Chronologically Kana’s newest member of her team. Caught as a barboach, Kana was impatient to train the powerful alpha up to become her new ace. It evolved too fast without proper training though and doesn’t listen to Kana, so she’s half given up on it. It currently controls her more than she controls it, just like Kana’s own motives and ambitions, but Kana will eventually be able to manage both later on (However, it has a soft spot for Akari, who visits it in the pasture frequently, and has less problems listening to her). Whiscash are known to be territorial over the lakes and ponds they reside in, and similarly, Kana is pretty defensive of her position in the Galaxy Team, as well as positions higher up that she isn’t even viable for yet.
Silcoon
Caught as a wurmple. Once it evolved, though, Kana saw it as useless battle-wise and does not use it. Its growth is stagnant right now, just like Kana’s own character and views towards pokemon as tools of power — it represents her pent-up stubbornness and unwillingness to change. But she eventually comes to realize that pokemon are more than that, will help Silcoon evolve, and just like her own character, it grows into something better, kinder, and more beautiful (Also I wanted to kind of be an opposite to Beauregard and his eventual Dustox’s relationship — I’ve also been considering making her his sister actually lol).
Kana’s team is largely Bug-Type because I like to attribute the concept of metamorphosis to her. It takes a lot of effort and time, but I imagine she will eventually grow out of her more selfish outlook and desire to be the best for all the wrong reasons — mostly because she realizes no matter what, she’s not getting anywhere, and has to wrestle with introspection. But it takes a LONG, LONG TIME and it is painful for everyone lol.
For now, she is still a pain to deal with lol.
It’s been pretty fun developing her and I’ve appreciated when people ask about her or request me to write more of her! She was just a one-off character to fill a role I needed in a fic, but I’ve had a lot of fun making her a recurring character!!
Thanks for asking about her!!!

I'm looking for advice. I'm looking to get a partner pokemon of my own, but the only experience I have is with my family's buneary. I've always loved scolipedes, but I've also heard that pidoves are friendly and intelligent pokemon... do you have tips for either of these, or general advice for a new solo pokemon owner?
i may be a bit biased lol...but pidove make great first pokemon to raise on your own! i recommend getting at least two to start so that they can help keep each other company, because they're social little guys. pidove are kind of well known for not being the brightest...but they have one of the most amazing memories of any pokemon! so they're not gonna be big problem solvers, but simple puzzle toys and memory games are great ways to entertain them. theyre definitely friendly- my pidove love sitting on my head or shoulder!
scolipede's tougher. i don't usually recommend poison types as a first pokemon, and the venipede line is known for its aggression. they need a good bit of space and places where they can root around for food. their venom is also powerful enough to disable a human, so i'd only get one if you're feeling very confident- and certainly don't try to evolve it too fast. a different bug or poison type would really be better for your first mon.
as far as general tips- remember that your vet and the pokemon center are your friends! they're your first and foremost contact for questions and concerns. and also- remember that you're going to make mistakes in your care, and that's okay. raising pokemon is harder than people make it sound sometimes. if someone trustworthy tells you that you need to change something you're doing, it doesn't mean that you're a bad trainer. you're just learning things as you go, and everyone inevitably screws something up. as long as you're doing your best for your pokemon and fixing things that need fixing, you and your pokemon will be okay.

Hi, I'm sorry to keep bugging you, but I enjoy reading your rambles about things you're interested in. Also, your BitA fic is really good so far.
I have thought of another question.
What is your favorite video game/game series? Why?
i thrive on BitA appreciation tysm,,, and no worries! you're not bugging me hahah
favorite videogame series would have to be a tossup between pokemon and fire emblem. pretty basic answers i think but what can you do. for pokemon is the world, and for fire emblem are the characters. sometimes the story, when it's good. idk i've been playing both since a long long time ago, so they might be nostalgia picks tbh, but i really can't think of anything else atm for single videogames i'd have to go with either ib or the gray garden (or undertale). i had my indie rpg heydays back in highschool and the gray garden and ib both rewired my brain in ways you can't even imagine. and undertale is just Good, what's not to love about that game,,
i wish there tgg fandom was bigger on this side of the globe, afaik it's mostly confined to japan (or i haven't been looking in the right places). i do think it had a lot to do with the creator's ban on streaming/making lets-plays of the games. which- i mean sure? but like.......... seeing how streaming brings light to so many small games nowadays i feel like it was a badly-timed decision on their part. but who am i to judge,,
anyway- thank you for the question! the pokemon answer you probably could've guessed from my fanart of the genshin crew as pokemon trainers hahah that one should've been no surprise,,

“Can I put you on my to-do list?” GuzmaXreader (again) Their first meeting when he realizes how much of a badass this new trainer is. If you want to make if after a battle and they offer advice and some honest words for our bug dork.
Discord (16+) - Request Information - Event Post
Warning: This is NSFW so if you’re under the legal age or uncomfortable with content like this, please skip over this one! This piece is for an event that’s linked above with the other information!
Guzma - “Can I put you on my to-do list?”:
Guzma looked over at you from across the battle field as he took his final pokemon back into its ball. He was both amazed and furious as the dust began to settle and his large stature began crossing the terrain over to you. Your starter pokemon went to shield you in case he tried to hit you, but you knew better. Guzma wouldn't be that much of an idiot...hopefully. Besides there were witnesses around and Nanu would have no issue arresting him on the spot for attacking a trainer physically.
He got right in front of you, leaning into your face. He was about to spit out some rude words and insults, maybe a threat or two your way. Then he got a good look at you. You held your head high, pride seeping off your very bones as you glared at him. You weren't scared and something about that amused him.
The biggest thing he noticed, however, was the fact that you were cute...just his type actually. He smirked as he bent over, his mouth grazing your ear, "Mind if I put you on my to-do list, cutie?" you froze in your spot and glared at him.
"If you finish as fast as our battle I doubt I'd get any satisfaction out of it." You spat back and Guzma snarled before getting to his full height. He flipped you off for good measure before stuffing his hands in his pockets and walked off. As Kukui came over, asking what he said, you couldn't help but look at Guzma's ass.

the day i assign each strawhat a pokemon team (ft honorable mentions bc theres just So many different pokemon that fit them for many reasons. and like i'd see why others would assign them diff pokemon. but this is just in My Eyes) it'd be over for everyone
plus whenever i get a new interest, i immediately think about what pokemon my favs would have 😭
im noT finished with my list yet but the most common headcanon i've seen is luffy and aipom and monferno !! (both are monkey pokemon :3 and monferno is fire/fighting type...) so ofc he'd have them. BUT !! THERE ARE ALSO BUG POKEMON DO NOT FORGET !! HE'D ABSOLUTELY FREAK (POSITIVELY) SEEING THEM ESPECIALLY HERACROSS
also this is Just Me but i think it'd be really cute for nami to have swablu and wingull... like i cant really put it into words bc i dont have the words (though swablu should be self explanatory) (btw you will see a lot of me assign the strawhats pokemon purely based on vibes... but can u blame me theres over 1000 pokemon) AND SHE'D SOOOO HAVE A MEOWTH CMON !! cat burglar nami... meowth that likes to collect shiny coins and if it likes its trainer enough/in a good mood it'd show them its hosrd of treasure...
brook would absolutely have kricketune and you cant change my mind... (yohohoing and delelelewooping in the distance) also during that void of 50 years, he meets dhelmise (ghost/grass type)
obviously, zoro would have sword related pokemon like honedge(and its evolutions) and gallade and ceruledge and— YKNOW!! but (not so) fun fact about honedge. it is steel/ghost type and according to its pokedex, the pokemon is born when a spirit inhabits a sword... kuina and wado ichimonji... see where im going with this?
ANYWAY more thoughts eventually (it has been collecting dust in my notes app for months) but i love pokemon and combining them with my interests...
by the way sanji would have talonflame and i will elaborate later (i hope)
