#the centaurworld song just fit so well

I think Time Deer by Bent Knee fits Rainhaze
Any song that calls someone a dog is pretty good for Mr. Haze.
"Oh, nasty dog You are choking on a cog in my time machine Drag you along to the times from which you run So you can see what I see"
"I was string thin, barren and scrambling for food My people exiled, subhuman and crude <- hello. literally barrenclan They took my lover and library too War left me vagrant with nothing to lose"
youtube
Tumblr media
Oh my God, thank you for blasting me back in time with this. I watched the Flowey animatic with this song about a million times when I was deep in my Undertale phase. Also, yes, Rainhaze as hell, I could literally put every lyric here and they'd fit for him.
"They're-they're these terrors And it's like, it feels like as if somebody was gripping my throat and squeezing and It's like as if somebody was gripping my throat"
"Don't you breathe for me Undeserving of your sympathy 'Cause there ain't no way that I'm sorry for what I did"
"A drink for the horror that I'm in For the good guys and the bad guys For the monsters that I've been Three cheers for tyranny Unapologetic apathy 'Cause there ain't no way that I'm coming back again"
"Sometimes I see flames And sometimes I see people that I love dying"
"And through it all How could you cry for me? 'Cause I don't feel bad about it So shut your eyes Kiss me goodbye And sleep"
youtube
Tumblr media
It's definitely softer than I think of music for them, but those lyrics are pretty good. It's almost making me think more of Rainhaze talking to Slugpelt!
"Hey Bunny What if I lose you too If I become the monster Together we can always be blue"
"Hey Bunny Is that your name again It's making me laugh 'cause we used to be friends Hey bunny Am I talking in the mirror I only see myself as what we were"
Tumblr media
I don't think so! I like it.
"I hate my work But I'm in control I'm fearless now But it cost my soul"
"It's alright to scream I'm screaming too Why'd you think I do the things I do? For shadows haunted me like ghosts So I became what I feared the most" <- Aw yeah
youtube
Tumblr media
Okay real about the energy level, I feel that so hard. It would make a cool PMV though!
"He could never stand up 'Til he had to run Finger on the trigger Of an empty gun" <- Verse 1
"Well, she was on an upswing In the spring of life Dancing on a tight rope 'Til he brought the knife" <- Verse 2
youtube
Tumblr media
I mean, if this whole post doesn't prove that Rainhaze is fantastic to staple music to his forehead, this should.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What a pretty song! Yes, definitely a great song for the overall story.
"I hear it calling/Deep down in my dreams/The wind is blowing/Something lost in me"
"There's nothing else to do/There's nowhere else to go/There's nothing else to live for, anymore"
youtube
Tumblr media
It's on the playlist, in fact!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh I know this song! I used it in a speedpaint once. Ah, a particular context makes it very sad for me with Rainhaze.
"Save yourself I am far beyond repair They will bury me alive But I'm not inclined to care I am too far gone now, oh ohoho"
"Forget the man I used to be You'll move along more easily"
Tumblr media
Silly, trying to slip another FNAF fansong past me. It can definitely work for Rainhaze, even if I can't listen to the whispering (I don't like ASMR).

The Monsters of Eastridge: DOAI Playlist
Description: At this point, might as well make a playlist for everything. Welcome to my own personal demon-filled hell, this is mostly based on lyrics, vibes, or both 🎃
(Yeah this is made mostly for @spookmuth but also just anyone else who’s interested in my music taste/how my thoughts work. Will update the post whenever the playlist updates, have fun! Also footnotes will be in brackets because I like footnotes)
“Happy Face” by Jagwar Twin [I have had an animatic for this jangling around my brain for actual several months oh my god]
“Turn the Lights Off” by Tally Hall
“A1 - It’s just a burning memory” by The Caretaker [Yeah idk how well this actually fits since it’s based on a song from like. The 30s. But I think it’s obligatory for any analog horror ever lol]
"I Can't Decide" by The Scissor Sisters [This one I got inspo from havoc-bloom's playlist/clip of Pastra finding it. A few of these are, actually, lol]
"I'M Sane" by Axie [Me when I torture the innocent with horrid monsters and become one myself. but I'm a little silly about it teehee~ 😜]
"The Circus" by Toby Fox [This popped up on shuffle when I was drawing Clyde once and my brain refused to let go of the vibes™ ever since]
"Animal Cannibal (Possibly in Michigan)" by Buckshot Princess [I would've put the one by Karen Skladany but it's not on apple music 😔 sad. This cover's really nice tho]
"The Dismemberment Song" by Blue Kid [Same reasoning as "I'M Sane," nyehehe. Also this song really feels like it's ripped out of a musical number. If you told me it was I'd believe you.]
"The Mind Electric" by Miracle Musical
"Horror Show" by K-Modo [You ever just. Think about why Lankmann does the things he did? Like what's his game here?]
"Dance of Corpse (feat. Hatsune Miku)" by Kikuo [this might also spiral into an animatic lol. Anyway do me a solid and go look up the music video, turn on the official english subtitles and come back to me.]
"The Nowhere King" by The Centaurworld Cast
"Nothing Changes" by Jewelle Blackman, Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer, and Kay Trinidad [this musical makes me feel. so many things. And I just think the vibes/lyrics of "why try when you'll only end in misery" might fall into the category of vibes here idk idk]
"Murders" by Miracle Musical
"Kitchen Fork" by Jack Conte [I don't remember exactly why I put this here rn but I just know this is probably an Alex song. It's so beautifully haunting and passionate stg]
"Meet Me in the Woods" by Lord Huron ['kay I know the vibes are probably off but look at the lyrics and tell me it shouldn't go here]
"A Crow's Trial" by Vane Lily
"You're F****d" by Ylvis [Yeah I put this one here as a joke song. Every single character in here is SO doomed by the narrative, I'm sorry Alex but it's true. teehee~]
"UNCANNY / ft. KAFU" by kian [I actually couldn't find this one on apple music but galactinqq was right about this being an Alex song and I'm putting it on the post]
"Raising the Dead!" by Jessica Law [Styx, you madlad, this is SUCH a Lankmann song oh my god]
"Destroid 8 Annihilate" by Excision and Far Too Loud -- Destroid - The Invasion ["But Doodle, wha-" do not question my playlist decisions. Sometimes I listen to one of my other 30 (yes it's that many) silly little playlists and the vibes just come to me. I am right about everything and my brain is huge /lh]

My Angua Playlist! I Didn't like Angua much at first but she won me over, and now she's enough my fave to have earned a playlist. my beautiful girl with a disorder, theres so much complex stuff going on with her relationship to herself, her family, carrot, the watch. i love revolving it all in my head. Theres some intentional overlap with Vimes's . Explanations under the read more as usual
Angua is a cynical pessimist, she's so sure she's going to be abandoned, that she'll slip back into her old bad ways, that she'll be attacked for what she is and have to run again. she always has one foot out of the door:
Fast Car by Tracy Chapman
Haunted House by Sir Babygirl (this one especially nails the "everything is doomed i just dont want it to hurt too much" vibes of early Angua)
In the Blood from Hades
Nothing Good from Centaurworld
Lets Get This Over With by TMBG
Evelyn by Kim Tillman
Run Boy Run by Woodkid
Too Much Time by John Vanderslice
the Angua and Carrot vibes. sweet in many ways but they also have a doomed romance (as in, doomed to be in a romance) thing going on thats bonkers and very fun to rotate in my mind, especially when its in tension with angua's instincts to run:
Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men
Between My Teeth by Orla Garland
Stray Italian Greyhound by Vienna Tang
I Scare Myself by Thomas Dolby
The Bright Side by TMBG
Absentee by Jack Campbell
I like You for Psychological Reasons by TMBG (genuinely thee carrot/angua theme song in my mind)
The Dog Days Are Over by Florence + The Machine (yes this is dog themed no it doesnt go in the dog themes section, the horses are carrot and finding a home in the watch)
Tounges and Teeth by The Crane Wives
Landslide by Fleetwood Mac
Sight of the Sun by .fun ("I used to run at first sight of the sun but now I lay here waiting for you to wake up")
King and Lionheart by of Monsters and Men
Despite being a pessimist, despite having been a killer, despite her family wanting her to go back to being that, and strangers still seeing her as a monster, shes better. she's trying:
Get Better by Frank Turner
Getting There by Mustard Service
Its My Way by Buffy Sainte Marie (gritting my teeth on this one, buffy was recently exposed as a horrific liar and a fraud who faked being native, but also unfortunatley this song still fits angua very well and i still like it)
Changes by David bowie
Arsonist's Lullaby by Hozier
I'm Me by Vanessa from Phineas and Ferb (LISTEN, HEAR ME OUT, it's a little silly but so is angua sometimes)
This Year by The Mountain Goats
sorry for stereotyping you Angua but here's the werewolf/dog/monster songs, :
Maneater by Hall & Oates
Control by Halsey
Senses Working Overtime by XTC
Hey Bulldog by The Beatles
Werewolves of London by Warren Zevon
Freakshow by The Gothic Archies (specifically vibes with her being undead, and all the stuff people think about that in universe)
Turn The Lights Off by Tally Hall
I wanna Be Your Dog by AJJ
misc:
Music With Rocks In by Louie Zong
Synopsis for the Latecomers by TMBG (city watch vibes, i always imagined she's the next commander rather than carrot)

Fandom song animatic tournament: Bracket 2 Side B
The Mind Electric - Miracle Musical
"See how the brain plays around And you fall inside a hole you couldn't see And you fall inside a hole inside a- Someone help me Understand what's going on inside my mind Doctor I can't tell if I'm not me"
The Nowhere King - Centaurworld
"Hush now, hide, all you little ones Rush now, into the middle of nowhere Singing and laughter will die Dreamless sleep follows the Nowhere King When his kingdom comes, darkness is nigh"
Remember that we're voting on how Iconic they are for ANIMATICS, not for the song itself. In order to make things fair, the tone and mood of the song should not affect how iconic it is (for example, a serious song should not be considered more iconic than a joke song just because it's serious)
Propaganda and animatic links of the songs under the cut:
The Mind Electric - Miracle Musical
Propaganda:
the CLASSIC insanity song. you have a character that goes a little crazy? a little wacky? you will see the mind electric used for them. there are more well known tally hall related songs, but this one is def the one you see the most animatics of just because its so specific to this very popular trope. of going a little wacky.
1. It's a banger. 2. It's about a man going through electric shock therapy after being accused of murder. 3. It's got animatics in fandoms from FNAF to Gravity Falls to Hermitcraft. 4. It's by Miracle Musical, AKA Tally Hall. 5. It's just awesome.
Visuals alone are absolutely insane most of the time
Animatics with the song:
QSMP
FNAF
Deltarune
Spider Man: Across The Spiderverse
Gravity Falls
Life Series Martyn
The Nowhere King - Centaurworld
Propaganda:
It’s like one of the most popular villain songs that isn’t Disney and it’s AMAZING and the VIBES and the lyrics and it fits so many characters and eehee Centaurworld
SPOOOOOOOOKY TIMES!
Animatics with the song:
Deltarune
ENA
Over The Garden Wall
The Owl House
Hollow Knight
Please be cautious and read the title, description and warning cards on the animatic videos if you decide to watch them. If you've got specific triggers I'd recommend even more caution when watching animatics of fandoms you don't know, since sometimes canon-typical themes don't get warnings.
Please keep in mind that I don't know all the media and fandoms of the animatics provided as examples and I don't have the time (nor the will) to research them all. Don't come into my notes or my ask box complaining about them being included, I will simply block you. If a ship animatic included is about an adult and a minor, do tell me and I'll take it out of the post
ALSO keep in mind that I don't know all the artists submitted; in fact, even if I do know them I do not know absolutely nothing about them as people (I do not have twitter nor tiktok) and I could not POSSIBLY have the time to research ALL of the artists' controversies and what came of them so PLEASE don't flood my inbox with the artists' entire crime list.

More songs that have the Sanders Sides vibes/fit Sanders Sides
Teenage Dream by Katy Perry is an oddly cute song for Prinxiety??
Him and I by Halsey and that other guy is 100% a Dukeceit song
Baby, It's Cold Outside but with Dukeceit?? How lovely would that be?? Ik the song lyrics in general are all creepy but like with the more playful tone of Janus doing his Saying The Opposite of the Truth thing it would be cute
Also The Snake by Eric Church is a good song for Janus and Remus; Janus, of course, being the rattlesnake and Remus being the copperhead.
Life Is Fun by TheOdd1sOut but with like, either Prinxiety, Virgil and Thomas, or Virgil and Patton
I like to listen to Dear Theodosia from Hamilton when I think about Virgil and Patton even tho it's not a perfect parallel, it's just a good song about parental love :)
Crybaby by Melanie Martinez but with Virgil and Patton as well
This one is TOO FUNNY TO NOT INCLUDE: My Oh My by Camila Cabello is literally the perfect song for Remy
Also Little Red Wagon by Miranda Lambert
Less funny but Speechless from the new Aladdin taken out of context is perfect for Logan. Born Without A Heart by whatever her name is (lol) and False Confidence by I think his name is Noah Cyprus? Are good for him too as well as Bad Liar by Imagine Dragons.
A Million Dreams is very good for Roman.
Human by Christina Perri for Patton (sad)
I Don't Dance by Lee Brice is a really cute for Logicality :3
hero n villain duet is great for Anxceit BUT with Virgil as the "villain" and Janus as the "hero"
Also see: Just Give Me a Reason by P!nk
Exs and Ohs by Elle King is great for Remus heheh
Also Mad Hatter by Melanie Martinez
Also Poker Face for a gender swap/Lesbian AU
Copycat by Billie Eilish is really really great for if you want some angst between Remus and Roman. Also, bad guy for Remus but Only If you imagine him singing the "might seduce your dad type" while making eye contact with Patton and then Patton going bright red lmao
Oh And Also good 4 u by Olivia Rodrigo for Janus directed at Virgil
Janus and Remy would both really love the song Any Man Of Mine by Shania Twain so do with that information what you will lol
So uh...I don't know why, but whatever the I Have Been Searching For You reunion song from Centaurworld is called, it has Logince vibes somehow??
Fragile Things for Virgil also
There are definitely more but these are all of em off the top of my head. Lmk if you agree with these or have any other songs you like to listen to when thinking about the Sides!

How well do you think "Open Up Your Eyes" from MLP FIM, "Everything Stays" from Adventure Time, and "Nothing Good" from Centaurworld would go with Wally or Welcome Home in general, at least Fanon-wise?
First of all, I had to listen to two of those songs because "Everything Stays" is the only one I'm familiar with lmao
If we're talking Fanon, I think there's much freedom and variety for those to fit into place as much as we, as a fandom, would enjoy as there's not much lore for WH that's out in the open yet. Keeping in mind, of course, Clown's boundary on not sending him any of these headcanons and theories and such to avoid accidentally copying them into the canon lore as he had stated.
But I personally think Everything Stays would be the one most fitting of the three. As a firm believer in Wally being the victim of the story, in such that the other two songs would already not click, but also because it carries that nostalgia that the supposed lost show would have if restored properly by the restoration team, if you will.
Open Up Your Eyes and Nothing Good tells stories of betrayal and loss of that sweet innocence prior, at least from the interpretation I have with listening to them for the first time, and I can see how that'll fit in with Evil/Villain Wally. It can also fit with Home, if the fandom so wishes to make a backstory for him in regards to it.
But yeah, I'm still very firm on the Wally-being-manipulated concept (unless proven otherwise ofc) so Everything Stays would be the most fitting song out of the three to fit Welcome Home in general, and not just Wally.
Oh and thank you for asking me this! I hope to not come across as speaking completely on behalf of the fandom as I'm only sharing my observations and personal preferences with the current plots but I'm really honoured to be asked this question! I hope I answered it well for you, Meadow :}

Tumblr media
last song you listened to?: i’m listening to music all of the time but as i’m writing this i’m listening to Hail To Whatever You Found In The Sunlight That Surrounds You by Rilo Kiley. in general i’ve been listening to a lot of the Garages and Paramore. so i’m also linking Ignorance bc i keep getting it stuck in my head
currently reading?: i’m rereading the Animorphs series for the first time in years! this is actually the first time i’ve read the series in its entirety, as my personal collection grows sparse after book 30 so there’s some i’ve never read. i’m currently on book 36 out of 54! (plus the extras in there whenever they fit chronologically)
last movie you watched?: uhh i don’t watch a lot of movies. technically Sing i think? i was playing totk and sitting with my 7 y/o brother. he wanted to watch Sing but he got distracted before the end of the movie and turned it off. if we’re talking about movies i watched for me then there’s a good chance it was the new Puss in Boots movie or Into the Spider-Verse but it’s been like a couple months
craving: toasted bagel. butter on it. the good stuff. the creamy kind of butter. tim hortons does it right. also i could go for some dark chocolate
what are you wearing right now?: uhhhh some kinda kapris (?) with grey flower and triangle patterns, and a muscle shirt (?) i was just gifted with pride flags on it. it’s hot as balls. if it weren’t hot as balls i’d have on one of my fave tees, and my Houston Spies bomber jacket or one of my beloved long coats
how tall are you?: 5’2” and a half, which i only found out last year when i finally asked at a visit with doctors
piercings?: nah i’m too much of a baby abt the pain and don’t want to deal with maintenance, but they look cool as hell on anyone
tattoos?: same as above but i’m more likely to be tempted into getting something small someday
glasses? contacts?: i’ve been wearing glasses since elementary school, they’re an all day necessity for me. i gotta get new ones, i’ve had these lenses for years and the frames for even longer whoops. the prescription definitely doesn’t line up anymore
last drink?: iced capp from tim hortons hehe. i don’t consume a lot of caffeine but that shit slaps and cold drinks are a must in this weather
last show?: i also don’t watch a lot of tv! uhhhhh i’m drawing a blank. there’s a chance it was Centaurworld but that was a WHILE ago (and i’ve been thinking of rewatching it soon)
favourite colour?: purples and teals. also browns when there’s a saturated accent colour with it
current obsession?: split between Blaseball (the brainrots been going strong since october) and several different groups of ocs. and also Animorphs i missed Animorphs so much i love Animorphs. fundamental to my childhood. i’m getting back to my roots
unrelated obsession?: not quite sure what this is asking! but Tears of the Kingdom is Up There as well, i’m trying not to rush through the game but i’m finding it very hard to put down ^-^’
or actually if that question is asking about obsessions not tied to any fandom. it’s prehistoric animals and/or bats :]
any pets?: there’s a lot of animals i know and interact with throughout the week. i live with a dog (old chihuahua named Prince) and 3 cats (Charming, Bella, and Mr. Kitty). of those, Mr. Kitty is My Cat part time. he loves my granny a lot too, he’s always either in my room or hers, snuggled up near one of us. he’s one of my best friends he’s so important to me :] my silly little guy
do you have a crush on anyone?: i still am not sure what that’s supposed to feel like and if i have ever felt it before but no i don’t right now. just love and admiration for my pals 🫶
favourite fictional characters: there’s so many my guy. i have a tag for blorbos that live in my brain. the ones on my mind a lot recently are a bunch of Blaseball players, the kids from Animorphs (in particular Rachel, Tobias, and Cassie. the latter two were always tied for favourite when i was a kid but i’ve also found a new appreciation for Rachel as well. man. these kids), the iterators from Rain World, the satellites from 17776/20020, Emmet & Ingo from Pokemon, the list can go on and on and on
last place you travelled?: uhhhh i don’t get out much! i haven’t left the valley i live in for years. i dont know how far away ‘travel’ has to be to count as travel, the last trip i’ve been on might have been a family vacation into the states? in any case i didn’t go anywhere noteworthy in the past year or more

OMG WE'RE RANKING HAZBIN SONGS!?!?!?!? MY TURN MY TURN MY TURN!!!
Respectless: Carmilla and Velvette both have such satisfying voices omfg. Also the beat goes sO HARD- it catches your attention and DOESN'T LET IT GO! Also it moves the plot forward very effectively which is actually really important for songs in musicals to do so. That's nice. Tbh it's only flaw is being too short-
Stayed Gone: VOX MY BELOVED- this song is so fucking catchy. It also kinda gives me Will Wood vibes, and I love Will Wood so ofc I'm gonna love the Will Wood ass song. Love how petty Al and Vox are, like it's so fucking funny. The lore drops are also really interesting. Aaaaaaaand Alastor's bit at the end reminded me of the Nowhere King and I love Centaurworld so :)
Loser, Baby: Pretty obvious why this one's so high up; Huskerdust, Keith David, cute bonding, has a message I needed to hear tbh, and its catchy as FUCK
Hell Is Forever: God I love all the different genres they play around with in this show- like I was NOT expecting a straight up ROCK BALLAD in the FIRST FUCKIN EPISODE but god Im so happy we got it. This song goes so fucking hard. Alex Brightman should be allowed to sing more Rock n' Roll.
Poison: Once again, this song is catchy as hell! Blake Roman's vocal preformance is also phenomenal, like that man can fuckin SING!!! Of course he can he's been on broadway and releases his own music bUt you get it. Also that final verse... man. In the context of the episode this song is emotionally devastating, out of context it's uh. Still really sad tbh but it's easier to bop along to it cause you don't have the visuals- Idk it's just a fuckin banger man. Though speaking of the visuals VOX WHAT WAS THAT FUCKING LOOK WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO CONVEY HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT ANGE- *gets shot dead*
Happy Day In Hell: Honestly? Pretty neutral on this song. Love Erika Henningsen's voice, I think it's catchy(no duh), and the Disney Princess vibes are IMMACULATE. Not a huge fan of the random shift in the music I wanna say half way through? But otherwise it's a good song I think, conveys Charlie's motives really well.
Whatever It Takes: Okay okay look. It's a good song. Does it's job in the episode. It's just not for me. I think it goes on a little too long, and I think that, while Daphne Ruben-Vega's voice fits the song PERFECTLY, Stephanie Beatriz was singing too high in her range to a distracting degree. Like I think there was something wonky going on because that shit gave me the same whiplash I got when Marinette started singing in the Miraculous movie, and it just. Doesn't fit the style of the song. Like Vaggie's part should've been more belty or something. Idk man I might be too out of my lane w/ this for my critique to be valid, because I have literally never written a song before, and music is VERY subjective so I don't think I can even be objectively right here, but still. Oppinions.
It Starts With Sorry: Look, I know this song is supposed to be a joke, but the first time I saw the episode that did n o t click with me, and without the understanding that it isn't entirely serious this song just feels so fucking out of place and really falls flat. Like it feels like somebody took a song from My Little Pony: FiM, made an AMV with Hazbin characters, and then threw it in the episode, y'know? And like don't get me wrong MLP has some FUCKIN bangers(Say Goodbye to the Holiday, This Day Aria, etc), but a lot of the musical numbers are still really bland and samey, y'know? So uh yeah it's a decent song and a funny joke but def my least favorite so far.

hello good timezone!!
I am desperately looking for wip title ideas and y'all have such good ones please tell me your secrets :> how do you think of wip titles, other than divine intervention?
hello hello horatio!!! :D good timezone to you as well!
oh thank you ASDFJKL; that's very sweet!!! hmm... for me it really depends! i don't have a single method.
most of the time, my titles are often inspired by song lyrics. i try not to just yoink lyrics whole cloth, but listening to music and daydreaming is such an important part of my planning process that i do take some inspiration.
either that or they just come to me in a dream like visions from an angry god (i'm kidding).
a few examples of titles of some of my wips and where they came from:
god died with wooden bones - okay so this one is inspired by something my partner suggested and was originally a title for a completely different wip i have since scrapped, but i thought it fit this one more.
for we are both fragile things - this is a song lyrics one! specifically based on 'what if i forget your face' from centaurworld, because that song is SO noah-and-arthur-core.
dead chess wip - so this one doesn't have a proper title, oops! the actual working title is just 'rook', which is... the main character's name. but i wanna give it a bit more of an interesting title, y'know? for now, 'dead chess' works for. a few reasons haha!
cudaas - mentioning this one because i still don't have a title for it actually. i'm worried at this rate it will forever be 'currently unnamed demons and angels story'. send help

“Samuel Brains” (Becky Apples parody) lyrics
And now it is time for Rebecca’s Parody Songs, a part of the posting where Rebecca comes out and do a parody song.
Rebecca: hi everyone, it’s ya girl, and today I have something to ask; Have you ever seen someone who is different from the other and gets treated poorly because of it…or there is this one guy who someone hates the most for their greedy or how they treat a different being badly by causing them traumatization? Well, Ringmaster and Joe here got into the same pickle as themselves..except for Joe because his wife cares for him and always help him through his ptsd. But for now, time for the parody song that stars the two boys singing about the villains of their stories and how they traumatized them deeply, and this song is the parody of the Becky Apples from Centaurworld. Enjoy!
Ringmaster Raven: Honest Gabe.
Joe Puddy: Samuel Brains.
Both: Ugh!
Ringmaster Raven: Honest Gabe.
Joe Puddy: I bet Samuel’s got a arrogant ego.
Ringmaster Raven: Honest Gabe. Gabe’s such a stupid, stupid liar.
Joe Puddy: I never like his smoothies anyway!
Ringmaster Raven: Ooh! It really ruffles my feathers to think how badly he hurt you. Mr. Puddy, tell me your scary story.
Joe Puddy: It happened after my hometown got cured
Ringmaster Raven: Cured from the apocalypse
Joe Puddy: When the truth has finally occurred
Ringmaster Raven: Ooh, what do you hear?
Joe Puddy: The blueberries are not the only bad beings (RR: No) but it’s the man who owns the smoothie shop (RR: No way) and his name is-
Both: Samuel Brains because Ugh what a weasel!
Both: Samuel Brains, Samuel Brains!
Joe Puddy: What a gorgeous, ratty schmuck
Both: Samuel brains more like Samuel No-Brains
Joe Puddy: Cause I think your smoothies suck
Both: Samuel Brains, Samuel Brains!
Joe Puddy: Guess what? All You done makes me wanna burst! And while, technically, I don't know Samuel I know he’s the worst
Ringmaster Raven: Ugh! He is so the worst, Joe.
Joe Puddy: Right? Ugh.
Ringmaster Raven: It’s unbelievable.
Joe Puddy: Stinkin’ Weasel.
Ringmaster Raven: But can ‘I’ tell you about someone who's kind of a total Samuel in my life?
Joe Puddy: Uh, okay. Sure, I'm kind of not done being mad about Samuel Brains.
Ringmaster Raven: Well it happened when I was a small bird boy
Joe Puddy: Yeah, this is not the same situation.
Ringmaster Raven: And I wanted to fit in for some joy
Joe Puddy: what happened to your parents?
Ringmaster Raven: I was framed and exiled
Joe Puddy: By who?
Ringmaster Raven: And you know what happens in the daily nest?
Joe Puddy: Oh boy.
Ringmaster Raven: I flipped when I found out that Honest Gabe is the one’s who dishonest Oh, that Honest Gabe That Honest Gabe’s a true monster in disguise And I bet that people don’t know his words are just lies Honest Gabe, Honest Gabe, Honest Gabe, Honest Gabe! Ugh, he has a dirt eating smile in the picture Maybe my lack of friends is the reason why I am a villainous vulture.

Joe Puddy: Ey, excuse me.
Ringmaster Raven: Oh, right! You’re pessimistic.
Both: I feel your pain, man I'm your vindicator And we don't know

Joe Puddy: Samuel
Both: We just know we hate him This isn't okay, what they did would’ve cause rife
Ringmaster Raven: Let it out Mr. Puddy
Joe Puddy: *sighs* It’s just, I wanted to have a normal day in life.

So I've been seeing on the Twitter grapevine people saying Centaurworld is transphobic and I mean I can see where they're coming from. But I think they might be focusing too much on what the side characters are saying and not what the story narrative is saying. Centaurworld is very much a show where none of it's characters are perfect. They all have differing opinions and the other characters aren't there to narratively guide Horse. They're there to challenge Horse and her perspective on herself. If you focus on just how the characters other than Horse treat Horse's transformation then I get how it could come across transphobic. They see her forced transformation as natural and something to celebrate. But the Episode 8 shows that they're thinking of themselves and not considering how Horse is feeling until it's almost too late.
Horse on the other hand doesn't actually come to terms with how her body has changed. She doesn't like it and Episode 8 covers A LOT that this is genuinely something she hates and that her body isn't who SHE is. And it never gets resolved because Horse doesn't come to love her BODY.
What does get resolved is that Horse comes to know who SHE IS. Outside of how her body now looks. She still is a warrior. She still is this war horse. Her body no longer reflects how she feels inside but she knows who she is on the inside.
If her body was meant to represent character growth or who she was on the inside then I think the first version of 'Who Is She' would of been completely reversed narratively. With the first half being Horse fighting being this cutesy Centaurworld character she was being made to be in the song. Then at the end realising actually she was this cute magical Centaurworld character. But that's not what happens. It starts with Horse trying to fit the social norm and do what's expected of her. But she knows deep down she's a warrior and she's not the norm. As the song goes Hey Johnny, I might not be your cup of tea
But there's no cat here in this valley quite like me
Here I am for all to see, when you're asking:
"Who is she?" and yeah, Horse does go through a forced transformation again right after that moment. But it's not her becoming her true self. It's a horrific moment for her and the show treats it as such. Hence why we get the 'Who Is She Reprise'. Where Horse no longer knows who she is or if Rider would recognise her. Because this body transformation throws her off again. Her "puberty" sends her more into a crisis. When she reunites with Rider, Rider sums up the whole narrative really well in the song 'I've Been Searching For You' It's you! It's really you!
Despite the changes, I would know you anywhere
The voice, the face, the hair might all be different
But you're still you, and all I wanna do, is hold you close again And as Horse says right at the end of the show "I have to stay here. They don't know anything about war but I do. All this time, I've been so scared I wouldn't recognise myself anymore. That you wouldn't recognise me anymore. But I know who I am. I'm the horse who's going to build an army of Centaurs. So we can fight the Nowhere King from both sides." To which Rider replies "You're thinking like a true warrior." Horse is still Horse on the inside. Her body transformation is a reverse on the body represents character transformation trope. Where her body changes in opposite to her inner feelings. The show is more about Horse discovering who she is despite how she looks on the outside. And that her body isn't who she is. She's not a cute cartoony horse who sings and dances. She's a warrior who's strong and trained to fight. And to me that's not transphobic. That's a really good message for trans children going through puberty need to hear. That even when the whole world is telling them it's normal and who they should be. That actually who they are on the outside isn't a reflection of who they are on the inside. That they know themselves better than anyone else and that they're worthy of love.

Centaurworld Rewrite: A Serious Adventure AU - S1E1 Outline
I’m doing rewrite outlines, prepare for some AU. That being said, I still like several parts of Centaurworld a lot, namely Rider, Horse, Wammawink, and whatever the hell is going on with the Nowhere King, and hope there’s a second season to watch (which I will if Netflix doesn’t ruin our hopes and dreams).
Anyways, here’s like, a rewrite or whatever. I will probably post the outlines as I go, episode by episode. Will I get to them all? ADHD-willing, we’ll see. Also feel free to use these ideas/outlines? I don’t mind.
Also assume there are songs in this even if I don’t specifically mention all of them. Also I guess this rewrite kinda chains the 1st and 2nd episodes together as a two parter? Maybe, idk.
Also I’ll preface this with this too: I ship Wammahorse, yes I SHIPSHIP it. Moving on.
Some headcanons before we start:
Warworld (*the world Rider and Horse are from) is a Low Fantasy Setting, there IS magic, but it comes in two variations, either very subtle low-powered but relatively uncommon, or Terrifyingly Powerful and so extremely rare to the point that it’s not very well known and “just myths” (usually for Big Baddies)
Ideas for Horse’s Degree of Sapience Prior to Worldhopping:
A: Horse was just a regular, non-magical horse, and their exposure to the Artifact and Centaurworld has essentially made them a Fully Uplifted Animal. - This is interesting, but ultimately a difficult idea to convey because it would require a lot more setup and wouldn’t exactly fit Horse’s characterization without some rework. This is an amazing idea, but I won’t be using it because it would slow things down too much.
B: Horse is a low-fantasy magic steed raised as warhorse/war asset, who is much smarter than your average animal steed/companion similar to a DND Ranger’s pets, or Mabari from Dragon Age, or a Ranger Horse from John Flanagan’s ‘Ranger’s Apprentice.’ The combined exposure to the Artifact and Centaurworld could account for her gaining speech and her body expressing limited physical adaptation to Centaurworld’s different physics (her body’s new extended range of motion for example) but of course I’ll be limiting this because having stakes make it more fun imho. This is my favorite, I’m using this.
Horse would’ve been considered a very valuable war asset (trained warhorses are like, historical ferraris, expensive as hell, i can only imagine what low-magical smart warhorses would be valued at), though still ultimately expendable for the war effort like anything else
Let Horse have horse behaviors (*can you tell I haven’t really left my horse phase behind lol)! Nipping and grooming behaviors as affection or warnings, ear positions to indicate mood, grazing to eat, laying down only when truly relaxed, sleeping standing up. COME ON.
Centaurworld is a High Fantasy world with an Absurdist bent but with darker undertones, similar to how Adventure Time is, with an extremely high saturation of magic, maybe you could even theorize that due to the Splitting of the Two Worlds that all the magic is being Dammed up in Centaurworld like a river or reservoir, this could be a future plot thread that could be picked up in a later season.
Basic Changes:
Durpleton, Glendale, Ched and Zulius are supporting cast, not main
Durpleton is less stupid and more of a Kronk-expy: a little dim but ultimately kind/means well, has at least 1 life skill he’s good at buried in there though for the life of me I can’t think of one right now.
Glendale’s Narrative Framing: Glendale is amazing, but the kleptomania will be allotted ONE (or two) joke mentions but narratively isn’t treated like one after, somehow establish that her kleptomania is directly intertwined with her anxiety levels. Are there other denizens of the Valley that know the Herd? Are they mad at Glendale for stealing things? Does Wammawink have to constantly run interference to cover for Glendale? Probably.
Make Ched look like less of a pointless asshole: Have him show concern for his friends’ safety and his suspicion of outsiders, AKA Horse. If he’s going to be a jerk, at least let it serve a purpose.
Zulius can stay roughly the same - Zulius is great okay, just don’t tell me there’s backstory and then NOT TELL OR SHOW US ANY CLUES about what said backstory/history IS! (other than forcing us infer/project the headcanon[?] that him and Splendib might’ve been exes, from how they act around each other without any other context/visual/or confirming exposition we literally know nothing other than Splendib and him split/had a nasty falling out and Splendib took the glittercats and the career in the divorce.)
S1E1: Hello Rainbow Road
Opening scene in Warworld
If these episodes were allowed to be longer (shuddup it’s my AU), have the scene open with Horse sees Rider comes running out of some underground castle ruin catacombs and ominous roaring and clanging behind her as she deliberately sets off a dungeon booby trap (arrows or fire) she must’ve avoided while dungeon crawling earlier, and Horse runs towards her and circles at a canter and then Rider does a Running Mount (mounting a horse while the horse is in motion) and shoots an arrow at that flies offscreen
Smash cut to the DRAWBRIDGE door falling and Rider and Horse come galloping out while dodging some javelins and arrows and 1.5 seconds later 1-4 armored minotaurs (the lizardmen?) riding some coursers (swift horses or horselike creatures idk have fun) gallop behind in hot pursuit.
WARWORLD CHASE/FIGHT SCENE
Rider and Horse take out 2 of the pursuers on the run have Rider stay on horseback, dodge and make 1 pursuer shoot/javelin another 1 into a nasty-looking fall, and then Rider nails another 1 right through the helmet visor with an arrow. Have Rider throw a smoke bomb or something at the 2 remaining ones trying to catch up.
2 Enemies left but Horse is forced to skid to a stop as the suspension bridge approaches, then a tense moment forced to walk in order to escape safely across the suspension bridge which Rider cuts once they’re across. Maybe have 1 of the minotaur pursuers having been on the bridge somewhat behind them before Rider had to cut the line, sending the enemy hurtling down below. The remaining minotaur scout stares at them ominously from the other side before leaving.
Have Rider breath a sigh of relief
Smash cut to Horse and Rider traveling across a wartorn landscape, start Horse’s internal monologue narrative until they finally get to the hill and see the ruins of their village
Everything from this point to Horse getting transported to Centaurworld is the same as canon
Not Actually a DREAMVISION SEQUENCE:
Shot/Animated from Horse’s 1st Person POV: Darkness, the sound of whooshing Horse falls, shimmering flash colors [if this were an actual show pls put a Epilepsy warning at the beginning of the ep], then a loud Splash as Horse falls into Dark Water. POV looks down and we see Horse’s front legs and a bottomless abyss below and a then flash of green and off-white from deep below, then look up to see blue light, see the swimming motions of Horse’s front legs and getting closer to the Blue Light
Horse wakes up, blinking, alone (no Durpleton)
Horse gets up looks around, doesn’t see Rider anywhere and starts makes Whinnying sounds (specifically, Whinnying is a social horse call, like specifically going, “Rider where are you!?” in IRL horse)
“And what are you supposed to be?” the “camera” wheels around to see Ched who has landed on Horse just within reach of her tail so Horse lets out a startled squeal (the Horse noise, not the human one) and does that thing where horses use their tails to swat away insects which sends Ched FLYING as Horse’s squealing morphs into her Talking/Yelling “what the heck is going on?!”
Horse does what panicked horses do, she runs
Horse stumbles into meeting Durpleton, who freaks her out more
Meeting kinda the same as canon but with less constant emphasis on reminding the audience that the writer’s can’t write comedy
Wammawink and Horse meet, Ched flies in and goes “hey that asshole kicked my a-I mean attacked me, but I totally beat ‘em.”
Horse tries to leave, discovers the Barrier, tries to get through, fails multiple times, but only 3-4 attempts shown with time passage show by the time of day changing, have Horse’ talking to herself a bit about how utterly weird the talking words thing is, that this is a “human” thing why is this HAPPENING she needs to get back
Waste less time on the visual gags of the Barrier repelling Horse, also get rid of the Tree Catapult scene because it doesn’t jive with Horse being a horse, why do they know how to make a catapult? Also because I hate how it basically shows us that Horse has no physical danger or chance of injury from being FLUNG around like Pokemon’s Team Rocket.
Have the rest of the centaur Herd come up to and talk to Horse while Horse is trying to get through the Barrier, and Horse talks about the outside and her world and doing things, squeeze in some convo about how there’s no (current) war in Centaurworld and how Horse thinks that that “freedom must be nice.” Anyways these conversations are what has Glendale, Zulius and Durpleton at least considering the ups of leaving.
Durpleton: Durpleton approaches Horse alone and asks about where she’s from, what’s home like, expositiony bits for Warworld and how much Horse needs to get herself and the Artifact back to Rider; Horse should say something offhand, like how she dreamed about exploring the world with Rider after the War seeing new things together, to which we’d cut to a shot of Durpleton looking thoughtful, before asking a completely unrelated question before Horse asks to be left alone. He doesn’t go originally, but gets distracted by something (butterfly?) and trots off.
Wammawink, Ched & Glendale: Atop a hill, Wammawink looks up to see stormclouds gathering off in the distance and comments that they’re going to be in for some rough weather, then goes over to offer Horse food, but gets distracted by some other Valley Denizens who are mad suspicious that Glendale is responsible for something of theirs that’s missing. Leaving Wammawink to go off and have to run interference leaving Glendale to approach Horse alone. Horse will learn that there’s no (current) war in Centaurworld but there was one historically, and Glendale will offhandedly mention that they’ve stolen everything from everyone in the Valley at least 4 times and with the unspoken implication of boredom. Ched will butt in and heckle Horse like, “could you leave any quieter?” and Horse sniping back, ears pinned back and animated horse stress behaviors. And Horse’s last failed attempt at passing the Barrier has them drop the Artifact, and we get a shot of Glendale spotting and eyes widening at seeing the Artifact unattended on the ground, then we get a smash cut of Glendale getting herded away by Ched.
Zulius: Goes over to ask about Horse’s avante garde accessories (her bridle, saddle & armor[barding]), makes comments on her style/aesthetic and asks where he could find some. Horse loses her patience, and says that she Needs to concentrate on getting back to someone they care a lot about and could you please just go away?
Horse: (voiced as a rhetorical question) “Haven’t you ever wanted to go back to someone you loved before?”
Zulius gets a Look on his face, then he’d puff up, cover up the Armor Piercing Question’s effect on him with more bluster and then turn away as it gets later
Around sunset, Horse finally gives in to go ask Wammawink what’s up, and how can they leave.
Wammawink tries to feed them and convince them to stay, but Horse waves her off and moves away while muttering something about coming up with a plan
Speaking of plans, the Herd excluding Wammawink (& Ched) start talking about being bored, and mention Horse saying stuff about exploring the world (taken out of context, deliberately)
Wammawink, smelling the ugly head of discontent, sighs in defeat at not being able to recruit this new outcast in the Herd and approaches a grazing Horse and says she’ll help her through it with her magic(not admitting that the Barrier is her magic working in the first place because it’s not relevant right now okay) but then we get the “What’s magic?” bit from Horse and the rest of the Herd butts in with the Song. They wander off to go to bed afterwards, and Horse wants to go Now but Wammawink says that she’ll help Horse leave the Barrier but only in the morning because “you look tired”
Horse: “That doesn’t matter.” *awkward silence*
Wammawink, sadly: “Of course it does.” *Horse has already walked away*
The sun finishes setting as the wind blows the plants and through Wammawink’s fur (ominously) and she shivers, going back to the campfire
DREAM SEQUENCE: It’s dark, then we get a flashback dream of a younger Rider and Horse, idk a memory of something to showcase them either while in training or really show their Bond okay? End with them sitting around a campfire with other young soldiers and horses, someone is humming something (the first few bars of the Nowhere King’s Lullaby, no actual words yet). Then Dream!Rider turns to face Horse and asks, “how could you?”
Horse: “How could I what?”
Dream!Rider: “How could you leave me behind?” (The humming grows louder, there’s a lute being played, growing discordant)
Then Horse starts calling into the darkness/void, “I’m coming back for you, Rider! Just hang on, alright?!”
Rider: “Oh Horse, it’s already too late for me.”
“Rider!” Horse yells as they jolt awake, standing, because horses typically sleep standing up.
It’s dawn but the wind and stormy weather signs are picking up but not here yet, Wammawink walks Horse to the edge of the Valley barrier and tries to convince Horse to stay here where it’s safe, but Horse refuses to be deterred
Brief shot of Glendale hiding a bunch of things from her Tummy Hammerspace in order to simulate the feeling of stealing things again later, including the Artifact which falls on the ground
A shot of Durpleton seeing and picking up the Artifact and spotting Wammawink and Horse some distance away going toward the barrier’s edge
Wammawink hangs back on a hill, glowy hands and the magic wall flickers and disappears, and Horse immediately breaks into a gallop and disappears into the forest, Wammawink sighs and turns away
Indeterminate amount of time later, Wammawink recasts the Barrier, and Durpleton misses breakfast so Wammawink enlists Ched to help her look for him because Ched can fly
Cut to a shot of Horse dropping from a canter to a trot on the Rainbow Road, it’s grown darker and the stormclouds are in the sky. Distant thunder booms overhead, and a few scattered raindrops start to fall
“Heyyyy! You forgot your necklaceeee!” a shout from behind
Horse looks back and sees a running Durpleton holding the Artifact, and stops, he catches up to Horse and is gasping, “Wow, you run fast, hoooo, *deep breaths* you’re really *another gasp* athletic! Anyways you forgot your Necklace.”
Durpleton ties the broken string into a necklace around Horse’s neck and Horse thanks them and wishes them a safe journey back to the Valley, but as this happens the rain gradually falls harder. Then the sounds of the Rest of the Herd finally catching up happen, and Wammawink mother hens Durpleton and wants take everyone back home but then a loud BOOM of thunder and lightning overhead, and then it starts to Pour down rain, forcing Horse and co to find shelter until it lets up. Maybe have someone mention something about landslides being a possibility? Durpleton asks how they found them so fast, dim remember, then brief flashback.
FLASHBACK: Wammawink and co searching and calling out for Durpleton everywhere in the Valley, and realize that he must’ve followed Horse for some reason when Zulius FINALLY shows up and mentions that he remembers Durpleton saying he was gonna give Horse back her necklace. The recast Barrier is brought down and they leave the Valley to bring back their friend.
Back to the present where the group has taken shelter as the storm picks up more, and thunder booms overhead, Horse has some nervous horse body language going on, then we get to hear her mutter-singing or humming the “I never fear the drums of war” to calm herself down, but with more stanzas please, when asked she says it’s a battle hymn that Rider sang.
If Horse was humming, Wammawink could ask why she doesn’t sing, she’s sure that Horse has a lovely voice
Horse goes “I’m a horse, I don’t sing.”
Wammawink tries to be encouraging, Horse is resistant
Wammawink invites her to eat (AGAIN) but Horse still turns her (love and affection) down (AGAIN!) and says she’s fine with grazing and Glendale pipes in excitedly that they have decided that they want to travel with Horse (Ched pipes up that he didn’t agree to this) but pls help us convince Wammawink and Horse protests but someone points out to ask “do you even know where you’re going” and they have a point
Horse acknowledges this and relents, states some stuff about how she’s not going to slow down much however. Then Glendale, Zulius and Durpleton rejoice, Ched acts tsundere, but Wammawink looks nervous and wrings her hands together and relents that “they’ll go with Horse as far as the nearest Shaman” and Ched will go, “hey don’t you know he-” and Wammawink shushes him quickly with a gigglecake
Wammawink doubles down on the mother henning behavior
Horse doesn’t eat Wammawink’s gigglecakes but grazes by herself nearby, occasionally answering a question or two when engaged by the others (not Wammawink) and Wammawink mentions how the weather probably won’t let up for very long and they should take it slow and that Horse should bundle up
Horse disagrees but its bedtime and a bedtime song occurs in the backdrop as a restless Horse struggles to stay alert and awake but eventually falls asleep
VISION SEQUENCE: A shimmer of soft blue light, then shots of Rider ducking and weaving, her sword flashing as she tries to weave her way through a horde of enemy soldiers, blood spatters, then an enemy archer takes aim at a fleeing Rider, and Horse calls out a warning.
Rider turns her head with a surprised look on her face suddenly just enough that the arrow buries itself into her shoulder instead the middle of her back and then she stumbles, one of her arms going limp, but everything goes dark before we can see if she fell
Everything goes dark and the din of war fades away, we get a shot of Horse’s hooves splashing and making ripples into dark water but the camera doesn’t follow her, we hear Horse’s cries for Rider fade, growing further and further away
Still dark, but in the silence we hear distant sound, drip, drip, drip, drip.
Then the episode ends and the credits roll.

“Why didn’t we think of this before? The shamans are the most magical beings in all of Centaurworld, of course they will have a solution for Brian being magicless”! Tulip exclaimed as she flew above the rainbow road. “I still don’t know if this is a good idea, auntie Horse and grandma Wamma don’t seem to like the Tree shamans that much.” Stabby said as he walked beside Brian. “Well, they were there to help mom and the others in the war, so the Tree shamans can’t be that bad.” Brian commented. As the three approached the forest, they could see some bunnytaurs and squirreltaurs playfully running away from a deer fawntaur draped in a dark bedsheet. “Ooga booga booga! I am the Nowhere King; I’ve come to conquer both worlds with my inky goo”!  The fawntaur claimed dramatically as he flapped his arms about. The little forestaurs ran around the three, gleefully singing as they did so. “Hush now Hide all you little ones Rush now Into the middle of nowhere Singing and laughter will die Dreamless sleep Follows the Nowhere King When his kingdom comes Darkness is nigh Quiet. Crawl to the in-between. Silent, secretive feeling of Fearsome hatred that reaches the skies You will bring joy to the Nowhere King When he sees the light leaving your eyes.” The forestaurs sang between fits of giggles. Brian didn’t like this song; it was too eerie and would always send chills up his spine.  Since he grew up after the war, Brian would always hear stories about this Nowhere King trying to bring endless suffering to both sides of the Rift. “Hey kid”! The fawntaur called out to Brian, interrupting his thoughts. “Who, me”? Brian asked confused. “Yeah you. You’re Horse’s son, right”? The fawntaur asked. “Y... Yeah, Horse is my mom, why do you ask”? Brian replied. The fawntaur grinned. “Woah, that is so cool! Me and my friends are trying to recreate the big battle between Centaurworld and the Nowhere King, but we don’t have anyone to play as Horse. We were wondering if maybe you would be willing to fill that spot”? The fawntaur asked. Brian turned to address his friends. “What do you guys think? Do we have time for a little break”? Brian asked. “I think so, the Tree shamans are rooted in the ground so they’re not going anywhere.” Stabby said. “And besides, it’s always awesome to tell others how amazing our herd is.” Tulip added. Brian turned back to the fawntaur.
“Alright, you got yourself a Horse for your battle.” Brian smiled. The fawntaur jumped up and down in excitement. “This is going to be so awesome! Let’s start from right when Horse leaps at the Nowhere King.” The fawntaur said before taking an intimidating pose. In response Brian took his own imposing stance as he tried to remember the stories of the battle his mother would share with him and the others. Brian looks back at his friends. “Take care of each other, thank you for being my family.” Brian says, repeating his mother’s in the moment last words. The young elktaur takes off in a full gallop, the fawntaur letting out a ferocious roar as they to sprint towards Brian. Tulip, Stabby, and the forestaurs watch on with eager anticipation as the two draw closer and closer. The antlered centaurs feel their horns collide with each other before abruptly stopping, the two are face to face. “So, what happens now”? The fawntaur asked. “Well, this would be the part were my mom used her backstory magic to freeze the Nowhere King, but she never told me what happened after.” Brian explained. Horse had been very hesitant with telling Brian what she saw in the Nowhere Kings backstory. She would always avoid it by telling Brian that it was too scary for a boy his age, or that there was nothing but darkness. Brian never questioned his mother any further than that, trusting that his mother knew best. “So, what do we do now”? The fawntaur asked. “I don’t know. Should we just play Centaurworld versus Nowhere King’s army”? Brian asked. “Sure, sounds fun”! The fawntaur replied. For a few hours Brian, his friends, and the forestaurs ran around chasing each other and having pretend sword fights. The kids were having a wonderful time until the parents of the forestaurs had called for their kids to return for lunch. Once the forestaurs left, the young herd were once again on their quest. When the three approach closer the tree shamans the shamans, Brian became nervous.  As he stood before the two treetaurs, Brian could feel his legs shake. With a helpful nudge from Tulip, Brian steps before the shamans. “Greeting’s travelers. What may we... Oh, it’s the children from that herd.” The Big Tree said unenthusiastically. It seemed that the Tree shamans didn’t like the herd either. Brian let out a nervous breath before speaking. “Mighty Tree shamans, I have come seeking your assistance.” Brian said as he politely bowed before the shamans. “What is it that you are seeking young elktaur”? The Big Tree asked, amused by the little centaur’s politeness. “I’ve come seeking the ability to perform magic. I was born magicless and wish to gain the ability to in order to help my mother unite Centaurworld and the world of humankind.”  Brian explained. The Tree shamans looked at each other, surprised by Brian’s confession that he was magicless. “Young centaur, we will allow you to step forward onto the altar, but before you do, we must ask, are you sure having magic is what you need”? The Big Tree asked. “Yes, your shamanness. Every centaur is filled with magic and use it to live, play, and help others.” Brian responded. “Every centaur is filled with magic, from their manes down to their hooves. With it the lives in Centaurworld improves. Each centaur has a purpose, a place where they should be, but what about those like me? Where do I go? Where do I belong? Am I even a centaur if I can only express myself through song? I love my mom, she is magical, brave, and strong, through her I know I can’t go wrong.  My wish is to help her unite our lands and maybe today I can by taking a step forward onto the stand.” Brian sang as he took a step forward towards the altar. He gave a final look back at Stabby and Tulip, who gave their friend a big thumbs up. Brian stepped forward, his hooves clicking on the wooden panel. He didn’t know what to expect next. Time slowly crept forward as Brian waited for something to happen. “Did it work”? Stabby asked. Brian looked over himself. “I don’t know. I don’t look different, and I don’t feel different.” Brian replied. “Let’s see if it worked. Try to shoot tiny versions of yourself”! Tulip said eagerly. Brian reared up on his hind legs and began kicking his front legs, but nothing came out. “What the hoot, I thought this thing was supposed to give you what you needed.” Tulip said. Stabby looked around. “I don’t think the Tree shamans magic gave anything.” Stabby said confused. Brian turned to face the Tree shamans, wanting to ask them why the magic didn’t work. However, once he turned around, Brian came to a shocking discovery. The Tree shamans barks began to turn grey, their leaves fell like a heavy rain. Inky goo began to pour out of their face and eyes. “Shamans”? Brian asked concerned. “Guys, I think there’s a problem.” Tulip said as she starred at some tree roots that were slowly creeping towards the young herd. Stabby looked up and saw a tree branch preparing to strike. The minotaur quickly dodged and noticed a root snagging Brian’s leg. “Ah”! Brian yelled in terror. Stabby immediately ran over and unsheathed the sword in his back. He struck at the root, cutting it in two and freeing Brian. “We need to get out of here now”! Stabby demanded. He quickly plucked Tulip out of the sky and hopped onto Brian’s back. “Just run as fast as you can forward, I’ll deal with any threats. Tulip, keep an eye out for danger.” Stabby ordered. Brian dashed ahead with his friends in tow. The young elktaur felt his heart race as he dodged moving and unmoving foliage in attempt to escape the forest. For some reason the Nowhere King’s lullaby accompanied Brian’s thoughts. Meanwhile, Stabby was slicing and dicing any plant that dared to get near his herd, Tulip alerting him to any creeping threats.  Up ahead was sunlight, thinking it was a way out, Brian ran towards it. Unfortunately, the path had led to the edge of a cliff. Brian came to a screeching halt, just mere inches from the edge. The young herd looked back in horror to see the forest still pursuing them. “What do we do”? Brian asked in pure panic. Tulip flew above the cliff’s edge before returning to her friends. “There’s a river right below us, we need to jump”! Tulip said. “Tulip that’s crazy”! Brian proclaimed. “She’s right, Brian we have no choice.” Stabby replied. Brian turned to face the edge. He was shaking really bad. He felt Tulip and Stabby cling to him. “You’re okay
 you’re alright
we’ll never ever leave your side we will stay and we will fight.” The two sang. “With you.” Brian finished. The elktaur leapt forward and over the cliff.
They plunged into the river below. The impact had been enough to knock Tulip and Stabby off of Brian’s back, but once they were underwater Brian immediately grabbed them. He held his friends close as the current swept them away. It was fast and strong, plunging the kids under the water frequently. Brian thought it was the end. As he tried to keep him and his friends above the current, Brian thought about the rest of the herd and if he would ever see his mother again. Suddenly, Brian felt something grab onto his antlers and yank the young herd forward. They were flung onto a muddy bank. Once Brian coughed up the water that had entered his lungs, he looked up. Before them was a human, one Brian had never seen before. Her hair was purple and messy, but what really got Brian’s attention were her blue eyes starring angrily at him. “What did you do”? The Woman asked.

ok @queen-with-the-quill here are some songfic ideas i'm thinking about:
"I Promise You" by Yoolee (from one of my absolute FAVORITE webtoons, Freaking Romance)
this song gives me "Mistoffelees trying to keep everyone around him safe from his magic by isolating himself and Tugger's not having any of it" vibes
it also gives me "Munkustrap thinking about Demeter after she leaves with Macavity" vibes, so... yeah it fits both the Deuteronomy brothers and i'm emotional now
"Carried Me With You" by Brandi Carlile
Alonzo, Tumblebrutus and Pouncival, just their relationship as brothers and Alonzo being their father figure, because I've been thinking about an "Onward" AU with the three of them (specifically Alonzo and Tumblebrutus), and this just fits them SO well
"Butterfly Effect" by Sophie Holohan
i listen to this OBSESSIVELY and it absolutely makes me think of Mungolee and Tumbletta within our coffee shop AU, just all of them meeting through the weirdest circumstances and realizing that everything was connected!
"Camillo's Interlude" by Laureli Amadeus
HESTIA VIBES HESTIA VIBES HESTIA VIBES OH MY GOD ABSOLUTELY CRYING I DISCOVERED THIS SONG YESTERDAY AND I'M EMOTIONAL
"I've Been Searching For You", from Centaurworld
ever since you sent me this song, all i can think about is making a songfic for our girls, and it WILL be done, and i WILL make you cry
"Two Birds" by Regina Spektor
Mistoffelees and Victoria growing up! i haven't written NEARLY enough for them, so i want to write something about their childhood!
