My BTS
Despite todays hard take with Hobi, despite their duty with their nation, they are doing their path , almost succeeding on getting everything they wanted:
Tumblr media
After the lasts concerts they where getting more and more things, after all this years of crescent success, thay conquered some wishes:
They got access to social media, managed by themselves(IG)…
They were allowed to share that they have their own homes…
They have started they solo era (postponed once because of success/covid…)
They get to work with each of their favorite artists or so: (that is an amazing thing)(SoYoon albums is fantastic, love it all)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Last one is a Maybe? , and for Tae we don’t know, but sure he is preparing also an amazing collab, and Suga played with Sakamoto…)
And they have shown us more who they truly are.
I’am a huge fan of them 7, but you know, I’m a JM/JK biased… and know I feel like I know them better… because they show us more and better…being brave and bold… but respecting some boundaries..
Jimin is truly brave with everything about Face.
Jungkook spending time with us in his living room, drinking like the adult he is.
Tumblr media
Now I’m 100000000% sure of JM/JK love, however they work it, because they no longer hide their need to be together…
Now I understand why JK was touring alone every barbacue in Korea… taking a rest, waiting and respecting his Jimin to do his thing…
Now I get why Jimin took so much time and effort to make FACE: his “this was me dueling with pandemic loneliness and more struggles”, “my bare truth”…
Now I see how since the beginning of the era of “JK’s late night lives” he has been giving the major hints about his relation… ”emotion on ice” singing every song, doing a live just to finish on time for us to see JM’s work.. doing a 1:45 minutes live about his mochi, with no one on BIGHIT interfering… And after the end of JM’s FACE promotion he didn’t show his support for Jimin’s 100#1 on BB, not publicly??? (Suspicious side eye) but neither do any live (well only that 11 minutes one folding his/theirs Calvin’s)
Now I get why Letter is hidden and some of the meanings it contains…They both won’t ever talk about it… But remember that the track is in an offical Album, there is an allowance for them to do that… such a romantic song either way you think of it!!!
But after all the struggles they 7 are together, more mature with a long future ahead…
But after all their struggles JM and JK, they are too together…
Tumblr media
The future is the uncertainty, but what ever happen to they seven they will have their love for each other, and our love for them.
So let’s stay positive, support them, respectfully, let us romantic and non-romantic jikookers to keep this tumblr a place where we can manifest our thoughts as sexy/poetic/bold/romantic/cute/mature/inocent/etc as we wont it to be, like our Jimin… let’s enjoy the ride with all its curves.
Take care and enjoy life…
(Thankyou Anon )

Dear BPP, sorry if I'm overstepping but is there a reason you're not answering my asks about joining discussions on Jimin's mistreatment by Hybe to push Jungkook? Hybe is abandoning and sabotaging BTS to prop Jungkook is one narrative that is higher now due to recent events. Your opinion on this and how Armies narrative of sidelining Jimin is needed.
***
Hi Anon,
There's no real way for me to tell which asks are yours if you're anonymous. That said, if I get an ask I find interesting or don't mind answering, I usually will answer it. I'm bored of repeating myself though, I really don't need to read for the umpteenth time about how much Jimin is hated and how everyone close to him is out to get him; I'm tired of pointing out obvious things like how different labels managed each member's roll-out a.k.a HYBE America vs. ADOR vs. BigHit - a point that eliminates most of the conspiracy theories floating around about Jimin, Jungkook, and BTS; or pointing out how Jimin and BTS re-signed with BigHit early, twice. I'm tired of reminding people corporate interests are pretty straightforward, I'm tired of seeing the same impotent threats and complaints seven times over. The fandom has already imploded so every akgae claim about the fandom has become a self-fulfilling and self-reinforcing prophesy. And I've seen this movie play out before so it's pretty easy to tell where we're going from here.
A lot of people are generally myopic and predictable, and that hasn't changed in fandom spaces in decades. People here are having the same discussions they had last year, with themes that have been repeated every 2-3 years since BTS debuted. And I'm certain we'll be talking about the same things in 2025 and 2027, give or take some 'life event' chatter. None of the people here will ever really leave either. Because nobody who gets into BTS ever really leaves or moves on from them (whether they hate or love them), so these narratives no matter how repetitive, will never dramatically change. Each new person entering the fandom will pick up these narratives based on their pre-conceived notions, self-sorting into ARMYs and akgaes, and so the dueling narratives continue to persist for each new generation of fans. I can count on one hand the number of original ideas re: Jimin, jikook, Jung Kook, BTS, HYBE, k-pop, I've seen the last 12 months, and I'm not saying that to be condescending. I'm actually quite sad about it.
Anyway, all this to say Anon, I'm skipping those conversations because I've had those conversations before, already said my piece and would rather not repeat myself. You can still send your ask. I can't guarantee answering it but if I find it interesting, I might.

Thank you for the attention you showered on Bunty. I've run into so many viewer complaints that "oh the movie was overstuffed with irrelevant characters, the plot would work without Bunty/Yusuf/Theseus etc" but as you said all these characters are intentionally added to act as foils and drive home themes. While you could argue that yes, the actual plots in the FB series can get kind of confusing and handwave-y, they are always very very clear in terms of underlying emotional themes.
I get the criticism about the movie being overstuffed. The characters are not irrelevant, but they needed more time to develop. From BTS of SoD we've glimpsed 3 deleted scenes and all 3 would have developed characters and created significantly smoother transitions for their decisions.
Then again many of the fans who complain about lacking development wanted more beasts than we got in CoG. I mean, I like seeing Newt around creatures as much as the next person and seeing his little dance as he tried to handle creatures that are not friendly no matter what he does was different to what we've seen before. But at the same time it was comic relief and a direct answer to those who wanted more beasts. To me that was too much screen-time that could have been used more productively. Frankly, I don't get why the production and WB don't just decide to let the movies hit 3 hours. The story needs it and it's not like the audience wouldn't be down for it.
Back to the writing, I do believe that all the characters in SoD develop in smaller or bigger ways, but as you said they act as foils and drive home themes. Contrary to popular belief, that's not a bad think. It gives us a lot of nuance. The emotional impact SoD had on me was more than I've experienced with any HP movie and in par with the feelings that some of my favorite parts of the books caused me.
It's also important to keep in mind that these aren't standalones. Newt, Jacob, Tina, Queenie and Credence had gotten much more development than Dumbledore in the previous movies. In CoG, Leta and Yusuf too were developed more than Albus. It's natural that they would take a bit of a backseat at some point so that he can slowly turn into the person he is by the time the final duel happens. HP was told in 7 books. Let's recall that all the heavy-lifting for Voldemort, Snape and Dumbledore's stories was done in the last 3 books. Until then they hadn't developed THAT much if you think about it, but they had in small ways and they were never static.
As for the plot being confusing, I think that remains to be seen. HP had the benefit of a lot of space to develop. Moreover, the majority of the books had a very clear structure: Each showed the span of a school-year and ended up with a confrontation (usually with Voldemort) while the main plot focused on a whodunit-kind of theme: Who wants the Philosopher's Stone? Who opened the Chamber of Secrets? Why is the Dark' Lord's returning sevant? Who put Harry's name in the Goblet of Fire? This structure breaks with OoTP, which is when the war unoficially starts.
FB opens up the Wizarding World. The characters are not confined in limited locations and building towards the Global Wizarding War necessitates shifts between different countries and the wizards living there that are bound to be more confusing. The first movie was clear-cut. The second has some loose threads that could amount to nothing... or they could be important. Not knowing until the moment you know is part of watching an on-going series. In SoD, I think that the plot is consciously written in a way that ultimately addresses certain machiavellian aspects that Dumbledore's plans tend to have. It was a bit confusing the first time I watched because there was a lot to process, but upon the rewatch so many things fall into place and make sense. I still think this movie will age well.

The interviews were awkward (but funny, they were like 2 children and one adult lol) and it was also the interviewers’s fault cause obv the questions were focused on Kate and Anthony so Charithra a lot of the times was like a fish out of the water. I also think that wasn’t the initial plan cause she was with Nicola a lot at the beginning, but then she god covid so they had to shuffle things. I’ll repeat myself pr and promo have big responsibility in this mess cause without thinking they pitted a Kate vs Edwina narrative when the series imo never had (and honestly a lot of the interviews the cast did and the bts video aren’t helping). I don’t think there is any conspiracy or other crazy things but some things were honestly worded or done badly
Yeah I agree. I love the interviews with all 3 regardless mainly because Simone and Jonathan are hilarious together but then you also have Charithra giving such thoughtful and well-placed answers while they look at each other like little kids trying not to laugh at their previous jokes. But generally the marketing has felt really disorganized for season 2 and I truly don't know if they really couldn't get Jonathan and Simone in to do the EW cover properly or not and they had to do something for season 2 before it came out but even so, it feels like in poor taste when you consider that their story is one of the most significant ones, and the resulting popularity of the show is mainly because of that. I feel like they could've at least done more to get a cover for them or at least include Simone in the EW shoot. The bts videos from what I remember were also pretty random back when season 1 came out. I think one of the main ones was when the duel between Anthony and Simon was being shot and there were just several small moments of all the actors shot in between which is like, fine but it's not the most significant scene from that season. It does feel like there's a lack of proper planning when they're made because with season 2, it almost feels like they're either neglecting Simone or don't even consider to put footage of the main actors in them when that would very much help continuing to market the season and help it have a more lasting popularity.
Also, another thing that I wish they would do for Bridgerton is just make romantic promotion photos while filming those short cute videos with the actors in costume again. @geraltcirilla reminded me of it but TV magazines used to use those kinds of photos for promotion all the time back in the 80s/90s/00s and you'd get actors posing in photos like this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I would've loved getting at least several photos of Kate and Anthony like this but in high-res and imagine how many more cute/romantic poses they would've done while Kate wears this dress:

AS Roma: 2021-22 UEFA Europa Conference League Winners
Tumblr media
Nicolò Zaniolo made the difference as Roma clinched their first major UEFA club competition title by winning the 2021/22 UEFA Europa Conference League.
Roma defeated a feisty Feyenoord side in Tirana to claim the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League title and become the first Italian team to win a European club competition since 2009/10, with José Mourinho becoming the first coach to win all three current men's UEFA club trophies.
It was a cagey opening in Tirana, as both sides cautiously probed and looked to test their opponents' mettle. The National Arena was bouncing, as over 21,000 supporters filled the stadium for the competition's climax, Feyenoord's Legioen inspiring their side from the north stand as their Italian counterparts bellowed from the south.
Roma made the first meaningful advance, but Nicolò Zaniolo's outstretched leg was a whisker away from a cute Lorenzo Pellegrini through ball. However, not long after, the forward took his chance, this time latching on to Gianluca Mancini's delivery, bringing it under control, and clipping over Justin Bijlow to break the deadlock.
Spurred on by their supporters, Feyenoord swiftly looked to reply, forcing Rui Patrício to deal with a succession of threats – Orkun Kökçü's rifled effort the most dangerous of the bunch.
In a rapid start to the second half, Mancini diverted onto his own post, before Rui Patrício sprawled to tip Tyrell Malacia's long-range effort onto the woodwork. Danger averted, Mourinho's men could take a breath.
As the stadium rocked, momentum continued to swing in Feyenoord's favour and Cyriel Dessers was next to have a sniff as he attempted to bundle his way through the Roma penalty area, only to be thwarted by last man Chris Smalling.
With the full-time whistle looming, Arne Slot ordered his charges forward. However, as Feyenoord piled on the pressure, a now compact Roma side dropped deep. Bryan Linssen had an opportunity at the death, but the Giallorossi had done enough to see out the final minutes.
Mourinho said beforehand that he wanted to write history – and he did, as his team captured the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League trophy and Roma's first piece of silverware in 14 years.
Laufenn Player of the Match: Chris Smalling
"It was a great defensive display. He always won his individual duels and was as solid as a rock in the heart of the Roma defence." UEFA Technical Observer panel
Vieri Capretta, Roma reporter Watch Roma's full-time celebrations History has been written! Roma won their first ever UEFA trophy, the first ever edition of the Europa Conference League, and did so by taking their best chance, holding firm at the back and keeping that vital clean sheet.
Feyenoord could have scored, Roma should have done better in possession, but what matters is that one-goal margin. The Giallorossi lifted the trophy as Mourinho once again delivered in a final and became the first coach to win the Europa Conference League, the Europa League and the Champions League.
Derek Brookman, Feyenoord reporter This was Feyenoord's first ever European final defeat, and what a bitter one it was. Their second-half performance was infinitely superior to their showing before the break, yet ultimately they didn't have the guile to get the better of a street-smart Roma side.
How different things may have been if they'd managed to play with such intensity before the break as well. Yes, they hit the aluminium twice after half-time, but in general their pressure and domination of possession didn't create sufficient jeopardy for Rui Patrício.
Owen Hargreaves, BT Sport
It's fantastic for these Roma players – they've worked incredibly hard all season. Let's be honest, they were the better team, but Feyenoord had a decent campaign. They pushed tonight and dominated the ball, but defensively Roma were so good. Rui Patrício made a magnificent save in the second half which made a big difference in the game.
Reaction José Mourinho, Roma coach: "Winning is very difficult. You need many ingredients. Our team has played 55 games. We reached the final being tired, but we kept it hidden. This is a fantastic group of players; that makes me emotional. We struggled in the second half; our opponents played well and they forced us to make defensive changes."
Tammy Abraham, Roma striker: "I said when I came here that I'm going to help my team get to the final and one day I want to win a trophy. In my first season, I've achieved that. Credit to my team-mates for excellent performances. We've deserved it; we worked hard all year."
Chris Smalling, Roma defender: "We knew how much it would mean to everyone in Rome and you can see how together we are until the end. We dropped a bit deeper than we needed to, but you could see strikers running back – everyone knew we had to win."
Arne Slot, Feyenoord coach: "I told the players during the break what they had to do better. In the second half, we were sharp from the first moment, but you need a bit of luck and we didn't get it. We had the time and opportunity to score and we didn't. Maybe that's to do with the quality of the opponent."
Justin Bijlow, Feyenoord goalkeeper: "The first half, we didn't put them under as much pressure as we did in the second. We played the ball round at the back, and that suits them. In the second half, we had more possession and opportunities. It's a pity we didn't start this way."
Key stats Mourinho is the first coach to win all three current men's UEFA club competitions – UEFA Champions League (Porto 2003/04, Inter 2009/10), UEFA Europa League (Manchester United 2016/17) and UEFA Europa Conference League (Roma 2021/22). This is Roma's first major UEFA club competition title. They finished runners-up in the 1984 European Cup final and the 1991 UEFA Cup showpiece. Roma are the first Italian team to win a UEFA club competition since Inter won the Champions League in 2009/10, when they were coached by Mourinho. Roma are unbeaten in their last eight UEFA club competition matches against Dutch opposition (W5 D3). Mourinho has kept clean sheets in four of his five major UEFA competition finals – and those are his four most recent. Dessers finished as this season's top goalscorer with ten goals – Tammy Abraham ended one strike behind on nine. This was Feyenoord’s longest-ever season – they played 54 competitive games, which included 19 in the Europa Conference League (including qualifiers). Their previous record was 51 in 2001/02, when they won the UEFA Cup. Line-ups Roma: Rui Patrício; Mancini, Smalling, Ibañez; Mkhitaryan (Sérgio Oliveira 17), Cristante; Karsdorp (Vina 89), Zaniolo (Veretout 67), Pellegrini, Zalewski (Spinazzola 67); Abraham (Shomurodov 89)
Feyenoord: Bijlow; Geertruida, Trauner (Pedersen 74), Senesi, Malacia (Jahanbakhsh 88); Til (Toornstra 59), Aursnes, Orkun Kökçü (Wålemark 88); Nelson (Linssen 74), Dessers, Sinisterra
