💖 Your gentle reminder not to repost gifs 💖
💖 And if you absolutely must, saying "not my gif" isn't proper credit 💖
💖 Asking for permission before using a gif for a fic or a post is a thing, you should totally do it more 💖
💖 Respect a giffer who doesn't want their stuff reposted. 💖
💖 Respect boundaries. 💖
💖 Or use the tumblr editor's gif function, because as much of a pain as it is, it links to the original poster 💖
💖 Frankly, I get happy when someone uses a gif of mine through the editor and I see the mention. But when it's reposted without credit, not so much. 💖
💖 If you're going to repost a gif, know who made it and link to their post so that those who see it go support them for their effort 💖
💖 But it's much easier to just not repost gifs 💖
💖 And please don't reblog posts with reposted uncredited gifs. Support the person who created, not the person who reposted. 💖
💜 And dear fellow gif makers, I encourage you to not be afraid of watermarking your creations 💜
💜 If the people who consume our content for free are going to keep viewing us like machines then they could at least know our handles 💜

For a long time now, the Fairy Tail fandom has had an art theft problem that is running rampant, particularly in the nalu fandom.
Much of it has gone unchecked due to ignorance and the name of keeping the peace, but we no longer feel comfortable standing by and allowing it to happen.
Reposting fanart is art theft. It always has and it always will be.
Artists, both in our fandom and outside have consistently added disclaimers that their art is not free to repost. While some artists have given permission to repost art, that is not blanket permission for every artist. Most artists who have had their art reposted to tumblr do not express permission to do so. Many already have tumblr accounts where they have posted their art in the past.
Not only is it just disrespectful to artists, but it disregards the fact that fandoms are built on a social contact wherein we respect each other's work and the time and effort that is put into creating it. By reposting art without explicit permission and credit, you are stomping on that social contract.
Fan artists have, will and do leave fandoms over stolen artwork. It has happened to this fandom before. It will happen again.
@nalufan001 and @ravewoodx have been the biggest offenders, and while they have been rather consistently called out for it, people who we recognise as fellow creatives within our fandom still actively engage with their posts.
If you value the work of our fandom's incredible artists, please do not engage with these blogs. Do not allow them to gain notes off of work that is not theirs. Do not allow them to think that it is acceptable to continue doing this.
It does not matter if they have not directly taken credit for these artworks. It does not matter if they're doing this in the name of "sharing artwork". It is not theirs to share and they don't have any rights to do so.
If you see a post and are unsure if the work is stolen, here is a good guide to spotting art theft.
Please always remember to respect fan creators. They are the backbone of fandom and they share their creations with us freely and willingly. To respect the rights of their work, to credit them, to reblog their artwork from the source, is the least that we can do for creators.

on the etiquette of fandom respect
I'm not sure why I'm doing this, really. We've all seen those other posts that circulate around (or the vast majority of us have, at least from my notice) discussing things like negativity towards creators and proper etiquette when it comes to commenting and bookmarking and sharing another person's work. It always seems to fly in one ear and out the other, yet here I am, preparing to write an essay, mainly because I don't think we should ever stop saying it in the hopes of improvement.
Let's start this with bookmarks on AO3, because it seems like people either forget, they don't know, or possibly they simply do not care. Bookmarks can be seen by creators. Meaning they can see your tags, your bookmark collections, and your bookmark comments. There are numerous creators who enjoy going through the bookmarks on their works to see these things, because it's extra insight into why someone liked or even loved that creation, most times. There are also, in my experience, a lot of people who bookmark works and do not comment, so again, it gives the creator that extra special boost to keep doing what they're doing, to create more.
Leaving personal rating scores for a work, downgrading comments, or, in all honesty, opinions on what you did not like in the work is unkind. No one is coming to attack how you choose to keep track of your bookmarks, but please remember these are PUBLIC unless otherwise chosen by you. You can, however, make private bookmarks that only you can view. Even the creators cannot see these beyond a number of how many bookmarks a work collectively has. If you have a rating system or opinions on a work that could even remotely be construed as unkind, please make your bookmarks private. It's incredibly simple. There is a checkbox to select.
Now onto comments and the etiquette behind it. No one is forcing you to comment. While it is appreciated by all creators, it isn't a requirement. Creators love hearing from everyone who views their work. Comments bolster creators, encourage them to continue creating if they love doing it, which most creators do. But if the only thing you can think to say is something demeaning, criticizing, or has no bearing on the work you just viewed, it's probably better not to say anything at all. If you have questions, ask them. Creators love talking about their works, typically. Most will jump at the chance for a discussion. But this does not give anyone the right to ask accusatory questions that degrade a person's work. Also, leaving a comment about any work that blatantly goes against the very obviously stated tags/warnings, or leaving a comment that is short and brief and really doesn't make any sort of reference to the work itself is rude, plain and simple. Do not do that.
You are not being asked to leave a novel behind in your comment (though that's almost always appreciated to a massive extent). Leave a few kind words about liking or loving the work, because just something as simple as "loved this!" goes a long way as encouragement. If you have the time or something specific, tell the creator about a part you liked. They'll adore you for it. But again, none of it is a requirement. All creators ask for is a bit of common sense and respect from people in exchange for what they've created. Basic rule of thumb: ask yourself if you made something you were proud of and showed it to someone, would you be happy or hurt by the comment you're about to leave?
Lastly, let's discuss credit. It's seen a lot, and pretty much everywhere now. Someone finds artwork or a fic or maybe even a simple quote from a work they enjoy, and they repost it with no credit, not even a title (in regards to fics). No reference back to the creator at all. Stop gatekeeping works that do not belong to you. You do not own those works. They have been shared with you, nothing more. By transferring them or even a piece of them somewhere else without proper credit, you are not only removing someone else's ability to properly view this work without directly asking what it's from (if they ask at all, which most do not), you are taking that potential encouragement away from the creator and making them feel worthless.
These works, whatever they may be, were created for you. You may try to argue that they were shared in a public forum, and the creator should understand that by doing so, they're opening themselves up to potential criticism, theft, and even bullying. And you would be right, creators are fully aware of this. But here's the thing: these works, at least in a fandom setting, are being created for FREE. A person is taking time out of their life to make this wonderful thing, and they are offering it humbly solely for the pleasure of doing it, to bring you pleasure.
And you might even argue that creators are not making these things for you, but for the world. But aren't you part of the world? Did you find and are you reading/viewing/listening to these works? If so, then yes, they were created for you, with you in mind. All creators ask for in return, literally the only thing, is some basic human kindness and decency, because creators are not required to share anymore than you're required to comment or spread their works around.
Some creators have thicker skins than others, but keep going as we have been, and one day, the content you love so much might be gone. It's already beginning to disappear for lesser things. Don't be the reason it continues.

So I got a message alerting me about my work being stolen. I've had this happen on Wattpad before, but there the person had reposted my work and at least credited me. In this case, @casualsandwichdestiny posted MY work on Tumblr, changing a few phrases/words and posted it as THEIR OWN. This is extremely disrespectful, not to mention it's copyright infringement.
Tumblr media
I will say this again because it seems that some people out there aren't paying attention.
I DO NOT consent to my work being published on other websites, even if you credit me. Mostly because I write ONLY on Tumblr and I'd like to receive appreciation on THIS APP.
And I will obviously NOT TOLERATE people STEALING my work, much less if they change a few sentences and pretend it's theirs. DON'T copy other people's work! I spent time and effort on that idea, and it's MINE. USE YOUR OWN CREATIVITY. It is NOT FAIR for me—or any other honest writers—to create content only to have it stolen.
Be respectful of other people and their content!
To the person who alerted me, thank you so much. Really. I cannot thank you enough.
To @casualsandwichdestiny who copied my work, and anyone else who's ever done something similar to ANY writers on this platform, DON'T DO THIS. Create your own thing. Don't live off other's creations. What is wrong with you? Don't you understand the actual effort and time implemented into each little piece of content?!
I'm so sorry to any creators who have had this happen. I hate how people can be so inconsiderate of others.
I'm so disappointed and truly fucking angry about this. Sometimes I want to think this app is a haven from the rest of the world, but then I run into people like this and it just feels horrible. @casualsandwichdestiny I hope you never do this again to me OR to anyone else.
The person has already deleted the post but only after I left a comment.

Working with Dragons: On 'Draconic Codes of Honor'
In my early days of searching the internet for dragon magic resources, a lot of the same information got yoinked and passed around from website to website. This was the days of Geocities and Angelfire, when literally anyone could build a website and almost nobody liked to cite where they got their information. So you would have pages copied verbatim from D.J. Conway’s (singular) book on dragon magic (now there’s three), with personal UPG or other cool and mystical-sounding embellishments sprinkled here and there.
One of these often passed-around tidbits would be a “Draconic Code of Honor”, a 15 or 20 bullet-point list of ethics to follow that some sources brazenly added that “all true dragon magicians follow”. This at least did not stem from Conway’s writings, but originated online at about the same time as Dancing With Dragons’ original publishing in 1994; specifically, from J’Karrah Ebondragon’s “Clan of the Dragon” website. Formerly “Kerowyn J’Karrah SilverDrake”, J’Karrah has been a long-time active member in both Pagan and Dragonkin internet circles, as well as being a dragon artist. Her website, “Clan of the Dragon” (CotD for short) can be searched as far as 2001 on the Wayback Machine, with much of her content being stated to date back as far as 1994. Her dragon magic information is probably the second most-reposted after Conway’s work, including being directly plagiarized in some smaller self-published books in more recent years.
Her ‘draconic code of honor’ she even says was based on older traditional sources and codes that were being used in pagan spaces at the time, and according to information gathered by another longtime dragon magic practitioner and Dragonkin, Tysharina, the code was mostly created for use of J’Karrah’s small group of fellow practitioners for their particular ‘Draconic Tradition’; it was never intended to cover all draconic paths, especially with there being so few publicly at the time of its creation. It has been passed around and revised by numerous people and groups, with one version claiming that “dragons will not work with a practitioner that ignores [the code]”. Given that this code was created for one specific group and was never intended as a universal rule for working with dragons (and in fact the original version does not have this ‘dragons won’t work with you’ caveat), this can be misleading and off-putting for those looking to work with dragons with no prior experience or knowledge, and is in fact not shared by all draconic paths.
Some folks from around that same timeframe might also have been inspired by the DragonHeart movie from 1996, as the character Draco emphasized Bowen to follow ‘the Old Code’, which, in this case, refers to the Code of Chivalry. This may likely have led to a connection for some between dragons and some sort of code of honor, which has since infiltrated most information you see on dragon magic and working with dragons.
Since these two large influences on modern dragon magic, it has become almost standard for dragon magic resources to include some sort of code to be followed. Some of these are vastly different from the CotD’s code, original to their authors, and have been created to best suit their specific tradition.
In short, while you might find agreement and feel moved to follow such a code (which is perfectly fine, I’m not trying to dissuade anyone), do note that following such a code is not a necessity for working with dragons, is not universal to all dragons, and was created for specific traditions; dragon magic in general does not require moral guidelines in order to begin working with it. Anecdotally, the dragons I work with have never demanded or even discussed an ethical code with me, but I also give them the same basic respect I would give other people, which tends to be all you really need.

They posted us again. And now i will deep dive into why their arguments against andrews message are incorrect.
In yellow they are claiming we told them ‘to go die’ which is incorrect as if you read our first post we are asking for the subreddit ITSELF to die, not the people inside of it, the subreddit itself gives these bullies room to exist and bully people solely because they are living life.
In red they claim bullying is not allowed, however they do not take into account that bullying can look like several different things all at one time. Just because these redditors posts don’t fit yours or the mod’s definition to ‘bullying’ doesn’t mean it isn’t bullying.
In green they claim that we are making things up on that this user hates us, while I personally find this statement true, to others in the system it can be seen as false, seeing as you have posted us three times now. It is very obvious that you have something against us if you are constantly finding our posts just to repost it.
And finally in blue they claim that our community lies to kids on how DID is formed. This is not the case for most users, while some have said such things most people have not, in fact we as a system have not even mentioned system creation outside of the one instance of the word ‘traumagenic’ in our intro post. I find it hilarious that you claim that against us when we haven’t mentioned anything about system creation outside of the one instance.
Thank you for being at least semi respectful on the topic of you having been asked to leave us alone, and just as that was your last post on us, this will be our last post on you. I had felt the need to point out some errors in your post here, however I am more than open to you sending us a dm or even commenting if you want to explain exactly why you believe we are faking despite our mentions of diagnosis. I also find it slightly ironic how you doubt such a thing when you do not know us personally.
Thank you and good day to you.

Hey! Wanted to ask a q about giffing. I saw your recent post about not reposting gifs, only reblogs. I totally get that, so how do gif reactions come into play? Like is it okay to search for a gif as a reply or comment? (or are thes two separate things im conflating?? Im such a tech grandma 😂). Anyway, i very much appreciate all the hard work you do! Your gifs are so lovely 💛
Thank you so much for wanting clarity and for appreciating gifmakers' efforts. I likewise love your writing and I'm grateful for all the hard work you put into crafting beautiful stories! ♥️ You're not the only one who has asked about this so I'm going to direct my answer to the masses:
Concerning my earlier post, reposting is when someone creates a post comprised of someone else's original creations without permission: that's never okay, whether you "give credit" or not. Reaction gifs are different. Adding a reaction gif to someone else's post is totally fine! It's part of the language of Tumblr, and the internet as a whole. Some of the greatest posts on this site are what they are because of the additional images and comments made as the post circulated. (Some of you are hiding absolute gold in your tags; please consider adding those thoughts as comments so that people can see them!)
When Tumblr added the gif search function back in 2015, many people understood what that was intended for and used that function to search for reaction gifs to add to existing posts. However, others used that function as a way to find gifs they liked, create an original post comprised solely of other people's work, and then claim that it was okay because at least they were "giving credit" ("yeah i took your stuff but at least i told everyone who i stole it from...").
Reposting is theft. Reposting removes the creator from their work and seriously damages the changes of others finding the creator. I've seen reposted work with thousands of notes, and brilliant comments and tags the original creator should have seen and enjoyed, but they didn't because someone stole that from them. I don't know a single semi-notable gifmaker on this site who hasn't experienced that and it is so disheartening. Reblogging, on the other hand, is wonderful and is what makes this site functional.
If someone asks you not to repost something they made, take it down without an argument. Telling someone they should expect other people to take their stuff if they post it online is like telling someone they should expect other people to steal their car if they park it outside of their garage. Of course it is a possibility, but we shouldn't expect or tolerate that kind of behavior. It is incredibly selfish to feel entitled to take anything you like. We should try to be respectful toward each other.
Learning the ins and outs of different social media platforms takes time, and I remember being in those shoes back in 2012 when I first stumbled onto Tumblr. I'm definitely willing to grant leeway if someone is unfamiliar with the etiquette of this goofy site. But I've also had plenty of far less pleasant interactions with reposters, almost always users who are fully aware of Tumblr etiquette (and basic common courtesy), but who chose to ignore it anyway. I have zero patience for that kind of disrespect toward myself or other creators. So, again, if I see anyone reposting my gifs, artwork, or creations OR someone else's gifs, artwork, or creations, I will block them immediately! You take my stuff and I block your access to the rest of it. So never repost. Reblog the original.

Things to know:
I do not think AI art is inherently evil and terrible. I believe that if the art is clearly labelled and that if the generators are collecting their data and operating their services ethically that it is a perfectly fine tool to use. Unfortunately, as far as I know, that is not currently the case.
the true problem with certain uses of AI is capitalism
In that vein, I hate when AI art gets shown around completely unlabelled. If you claim AI art is its own art form it is imperative to label it as such at least in your tags to prevent confusion between digital or traditional artwork that was created manually.
So many of these AI images are stolen from the accounts that originally posted them. I’m not sure whether I personally consider that theft or if it is even legally theft, but in the process of reposting the picture they leave out important details like the fact it was AI generated in the first place.
These are all my personal opinions. This blog is not intended to be a place for me to open myself up to a bunch of discourse. I may reblog posts about AI but I will not engage with you if you are rude and incensed. That will get you blocked.
I myself am predominantly a digital artist (and sometimes a traditional artist when the mood strikes me) as well as a student of art history. This is my point of view as someone with knowledge in both historical artistic movements and the creation of art itself.
If you do not want to come across AI art I suggest blacklisting related tags. They will not always be labelled but many are.
The best thing you can do to ‘fight’ the negatives of AI is supporting independent artists.
Post labelling
I will do my best to find the original source, including the original poster and what generator was used if I am able.
I will tag the posts with ‘ai image’, their respective generator (if applicable) and ‘synthography’ a term for computer generated art intended to set it apart from other art forms
I may speculate on images used to synthesize the final artwork if something comes across as particularly obvious to me.
Post submission
Send me posts you suspect are AI generated but unlabelled as such
Send me posts that you know are AI generated but reposted and unlabelled
Do not harass the original poster. If they are a reposter, block and report them. If they are an AI enthusiast and you don’t like AI, block them. If they turn out to be an artist posting their actual art for the love of god I hope you didn’t personally accuse them of generating their art and if you did go apologize immediately and profusely.
Tags to blacklist to avoid AI
Generative Art
AI Generated
AI Art
Midjourney
Dalle 3
Synthography
If I reblog from you….
Sorry
I probably follow you on my main blog
It is not a negative reflection on you if you could not identify an AI generated image yourself. I personally do not just rely on my eyes for these and try my best to find the image source to verify ai generation when possible.
Some AI generated concepts look cool I don’t blame you for reblogging them. I personally just wish people were more obvious about what is AI so that the average person can make better informed decisions about whether or not they want to share it. This is just so you can make that choice.

Okay, man, I need to talk about this ending because it has been revolving in my head for like the last 24 hours. Spoilers under the cut, for Pokémon Scarlet/Violet with a few parallels with FFXIV Shadowbringers.
(Reposting from my RP blog because this probably should have been on my main to begin with.)
The whole idea of a "quest for paradise" being the Professor’s motivation makes me wonder a lot about what we know and what we learn in the postgame. Mainly though, I want to say: This reminds me a lot of the story of FFXIV Shadowbringers.
A quest for paradise is the ultimate thing to give to your antagonist, because endless peace and a total absence of conflict means stagnation. Lack of growth. Death of the soul and of adventure. It is the perfect foil to the protagonists in a story about making the most out of your life because your time is limited. (A theme the game already very much addresses, with various degrees of success, through characters such as Ryme, Grusha, Penny, Pepper, Nemona, and even Larry.)
So, the game was great with that, and we haven’t had this level of nuance in storytelling since SuMo (before USUM took a sledgehammer to everything that made the Lusamine plot interesting and SwSh literally pussied out of addressing literally any of its themes; thank you TPCi) so I am absolutely delighted.
Now, for the speculative stuff: I am a hundred percent convinced the machine was actually the Disk-like Pokémon from the Book. Or at the very least, that it was drawing power from it.
Tumblr media
Beyond the Professor / Emet-Selch comparison, I did not just randomly bring up Shadowbringers just now: The world of FFXIV has a thing called “Primal Summoning” that makes it so literally any God or made-up mythical figure can become real as long as there are people who believe in it. And these summonings can yield different results in accordance to what the summoner is thinking about.
You see where I’m going with that, right.
Between Scarlet and Violet, the mere difference of the Professor’s interests could very well have been the only factor in determining which era the machine connected to. So, knowing these things, this had me thinking, what if this Angelic Pokémon was based on this exact idea? What if it was actually creating exactly what its master wants, from their own imagination, instead of pulling it from the far future or the distant past?
Hell, Slither Wing and Iron Moth could be two different interpretations of the very same creature for all we know.
It seems a bit too convenient that Cyclizard was the author’s signature Pokémon, and for its Paradox versions to be the first thing the professors pulled out of their respective machines. Because they were so obsessed with these books and its author themselves.
It would also explain why, coincidentally, every Pokémon they managed to call from another era fit one what the author of the Book had already seen. And that would also explain why, in Scarlet, the Paradox Pokémon from Violet are just considered ridiculous urban legends and vice-versa.
I do not believe the Sword of Justice “chimera” we see in the book is here by coincidence either. This is explicitly a Pokémon that doesn’t exist that someone made up in their mind. So if it shows up in the future, this will definitely add water to this mill.
I think that would make this Angel Pokémon the missing link between Arceus, Mew and the Creation Trio, perhaps. Or maybe even the very egg Arceus came from. Who can tell. There’s also the whole connection to the Ultimate Weapon I have not given any thoughts to, but that’s still on my mind.
I don't expect the DLC to confirm or deny anything. (And it would be pretty depressing if they outright confirmed the AI just got eaten by that Pokémon). This will all stay speculative at best, the way we are still left theorycrafting regarding stuff like the RKS project, Macro Cosmos’s ties to the royalists and what Volo’s deal was.
EDIT: Well I've been told by Mako this is apparently a popular theory already, so, thank you Final Fantasy LMAO

Sims 3 world building conclusions pt.2
(4)The world is so big that I have to go on a vampire hunt to find other townies. Just…why??? 😭 What is that? I did get bored from playing in my world after a few months, but this made me yearn for that medium world life again. And now, I find myself loading up the test save I shelved. I guess that's a good thing. I also started working on large map for the same world. (5)Fifth is that a large world should be comfortable to play in. What I mean is that I find moving around large chunks of pointless land to be tedious. Moving to five points of a map may sound cool, but it may not be practical. I have seen this done right, but I've come to the conclusion that this is not the way for me. I don't want to people to feel like they are running a marathon with their mouse. And if they do, make it worth it. It isn't always worth it. (6)Six is a little off the beaten path from the rest of list. It's also what prompted this post. CC in world builds. I'm not a builder. I try to stick to Maxis stuff as much as possible but somes cc can add a little extra touch where my abilities can't reach. I try to be as respectful as possible to cc creators because I love what they do. It's hard work and you can end up creating more than you play the game. I know this because I've been self learning cc creation for the last two weeks(at a steady pace, of course). It's doable but nothing to sneeze at. As I have started building, I have noticed some of these rules are ridiculous. I ended up removing an entire folder from my game because I felt the rules were too ridiculous. A few of them basically meant "You can only use my cc for playing your game." Fine. Sounds alright if you say it that way. But if you feel that way, just say so. Stop listing out 10 bullet points to say one thing. I feel like it's become a thing in the Sims community to beat around the bush. It doesn't make you more official. And I specifically have an issue with no cc for builds. Hear me out, because I know people will be ready to disagree immediately without understanding what I mean. If the cc is not in your mod folder, it will not show up in the game. The Sims will substitute the item to the best of its scrambled code abilities. If someone puts your cc in their builds, links your website for the items, and credits you, what's the problem? They didn't steal if they didn't repost it without credit and it never shows up in any users game. Credit doesn't seem to be enough to them and it makes me wonder why they even started creating custom content in the first place. It takes steam out of building. It reminds me of people complaining about Lilsimie using the same items in her builds. There are only so many items you can use silly. (7)Seven is that you also shouldn't go wild with cc. No one wants to download a million items to use your world. The biggest gripe I have about CAW usage is creating world that can't run smoothly. What's the point of a world you can only look at? Take pictures? Go on vacation? Sure, but ultimately, it collects dust in InstalledWorlds until the user decides to remove it. I don't want that. I want people to enjoy my world. At least until the adults decide to have a family and move to a family world. (Last words) D7 Large will be a little more family friendly. The young adult life will still be there. A large section of the map is going to supernaturals. There are basically two income brackets in this town. Poor and rich. No middle class. I'm pushing a narrative. I couldn't really push this narrative the way I wanted on the medium map without taking away certain aspects. On a large map, I can. All and all, building D7 made me understand what kind of world I was aiming for. Poor, rich, supernatural, human, college, and a relaxed night life.
Deep breath*
Also, I'm working on a fantasy world. D7 has caused me to become more inspired. Browsing through Temu did as well 😋. I'm still playing with terrain.

The development of a sound backlink strategy in relation to your content is an essential component in the process of producing an efficient SEO campaign. Backlinks may assist in accelerating the process of increasing your domain authority and trust scores with Google and other search engines. This is because you will undoubtedly improve the ranking of your website for new keywords as you continue to add more content. The majority of tools make use of their own rating system, which they may refer to by a variety of names (domain score, trust score, etc.). However, the primary reason for this is the large number as well as the high quality of other websites that link back to your page.
It is very evident that obtaining a backlink from Bob's local computer store (no insult intended toward Bob) is in no way comparable to obtaining a link from Forbes.com. This is due to the fact that Forbes ranks highly for millions of keywords and has millions of quality backlinks pointing to their website. As a result, the website receives over 40 million organic visitors every single month. Even though Bob is a well-respected member of the community in which he lives, his level of expertise in the field of digital technology is not even close to that of Forbes. Now, there are two distinct categories of backlinks that we need to keep an eye out for. There are both healthy backlinks and harmful connections, such as the ones originating from Forbes.com. The term "toxic links" refers to precisely what it sounds like: links that are harmful. You should disavow these links using Google Search Console if the website in question has a low authority score and gives off an impression of being spammy. You are informing Google that this link raises suspicions and that you do not wish to have any further interaction with it. As a result, you are reducing the potential adverse effects that these relationships might have. It is critical to utilize an SEO tool such as Moz Pro or SEMRush in order to keep track of your backlinks. Whitelist the ones that have received positive reviews, and disavow the ones that have received negative reviews. The question now is, how can you acquire such quality backlinks? To begin, backlinkskaufen need to provide excellent content. The higher the quality of your material, the greater the likelihood that people will click on it, watch it, and share it. Every time anything is shared, a new backlink is generated. But more importantly, who is it that is spreading this information? For instance, if a notable influencer in your field promotes your website, it will go a long way toward increasing traffic to the site. You are not only going to receive traffic from that authority, but you are also going to receive a high-quality link. Brand monitoring is an additional strategy that may be utilized in conjunction with link development. You may search the internet for mentions of your brand by using a program such as SEMRush or any other search engine optimization tool. You might send an email to the webmaster of that site with a request for a backlink if the site's authority and ratings are satisfactory. You'll probably be surprised to find that most individuals are ready to provide a helping hand, and it wouldn't hurt to try returning the favor, either. I would recommend creating a template for an email with this request, storing it, and sending it out to a list of contacts that you have compiled as a result of the brand monitoring.

Backlinks can also be successfully obtained through the practice of guest posting. If an influential person in your industry is willing to blog on your website, they will likely bring a significant number of devoted followers with them. You might also submit guest posts on influencer channels as an additional option to get backlinks to your website. This next method ought to be a simple one for you to use if your website currently features a significant amount of high-quality content. Simply repost your work on other websites, like Medium or YouTube or Vimeo, and include a hyperlink to your site to indicate that it is the original source. In spite of the fact that this is technically duplicate material, Google is savvy enough to recognize it as such, and as a result, it should not have a negative influence on your scores. An interesting fact is that although Google is the most popular search engine, with a market share of 90.91 percent, YouTube is currently the second most popular search engine. YouTube receives more than 3 billion search queries every single month.
Tumblr media
Last but not least, the creation of visually engaging infographics may be a significant help in expanding your backlink profile. Infographics are a wonderful source of data that tells a narrative visually and are becoming increasingly popular. They are really potent pieces of content that have a good chance of increasing the number of blog shares you get. If you have a lot of data to share in your post, you might want to think about commissioning a designer to build an infographic in order to make the material more digestible for your visitors. If you follow these guidelines, you will be able to boost your page rank considerably more quickly. Nevertheless, at the end of the day, the most important thing is the substance. If you put your attention into developing a customer matrix consisting of high-quality content, backlinks have a tendency to take care of themselves.

Serendipity-

About my writing
Literally a constant array of messy ideas. I jump from one fandom to another, always starting new projects and taking too long to finish them. I ask you be patient with me and tolerate my disastrous train of thought.
My blog
Is a safe space. Never hesitate to dm me or send asks, about fanfictions or myself or literally anything you'd like to talk about.
Do NOT copy my work or repost it on other platforms. I DO NOT CONSENT TO THE USE OF MY WORK IN ANY ONE ELSE'S CREATIONS OR ON ANY OTHER PLATFORMS. I only write on Tumblr.
I do not, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES tolerate homophobia, fatphobia, racism, any kind of slurs, slights, or disrespect in general. If you're not going to be kind, stay away from my blog.
Is (and will keep being) a mix of various fandoms because I can't just settle on one. There are just so many things to obsess over out there, I refuse to pick one.
Also, you will see a constant change of themes on my blog. It's no biggie, I just have an issue with routines, so when I get used to something too much, I need to change it is all.
Is 18+ ONLY and I CANNOT stress this enough. I don't want minors on my page. The content I write is explicit, and not for people underage.
I am going to say this once. If you don't have an open mind, stay AWAY from my blog. This world is full of square people and I don't need them on here too.
My requests are open as long as you read my REQUEST GUIDELINES. Babes, please, they're there for a reason. Respect my limits and my writing preferences.
I know I know I know this page literally depends on my fans, but please, remember I have an entire life out of this blog which means I'm busy with so many other things and I only update on my free time.
No, I don't owe anyone anything. Please be kind with me. I have no issue with people requesting things, but don't demand things from me because I don't owe you anything. The least I deserve is your patience and respect. Please, please, please understand that.
Finally, thank you to those who support me and keep inspiring me to continue writing. I really appreciate all of you and your constant support. I LOVE YOU BAES <3
Oh, and before I forget, please leave comments!!! I appreciate them a bunch even if it's just an emoji or a tiny phrase. They mean the world to me.
About me
She/her, I go by the nickname Ari. I love to read and I love to write. Would add a currently fixated on but I change my fixation every other day so I don't think that would be very efficient or helpful. I'm 19 and I study journalism (is that an important detail? Idk but I felt like I had to add it so I did.) My entire mind is a jumble of ideas, so my fanfics can be sorta odd??? Idk, it's not really a warning so much as a heads up, I guess.

Stop reposting stolen art.
Tumblr media
(Original thread here)
This is not meant to 'doxx' or 'harass' anyone, but there is an astounding amount of stolen art /with the watermark left in/- which is much better than cropping the watermark out, but still: if there is a watermark, you know who the artist is.
What is a watermark?
A watermark is a signature stamped onto a work to let people know who the original artist is. A watermark is often an @ or another signature depicting the artist's handle. Some artists make their watermark large and put "Do Not Repost" on it. Do not be the reason they do that. If you see 'do not repost' don't repost it! If you don't see 'do not repost', still don't repost it!
Reposting is already rather rude to begin with, but doing it despite being explicitly told not to repost? Well, it's a dick move.
But it doesn't have a watermark!
Great! The watermark was probably cropped out. It is almost definitely stolen. Don't repost it.
What is reposting?
Taking a work- any work that is NOT your down- and posting it, yourself. Art, fanart, fanfic, edits- things that other people have put time and effort into; if you are taking something that you did not make yourself and you are posting it on your personal blog or sharing it with others without proper credit to the original creator, that is reposting.
But I said it wasn't mine!
Great! So don't post it. It's not yours.
But I said 'credit to the artist'
Yeah, I'll be a little rude here, do you want a sticker? I can slap 'well fed' on a starving man, but that's not the same as feeding him.
I can say 'I'm just borrowing this book' but if I never give it back, then I'm not exactly borrowing it anymore, now am I?
Being blunt, if you really cared about the artist, you would /at the very least/ link back to their account.
But I put the Pintrest credit-
Pintrest is great for many things, I don't doubt, but Pintrest is a cesspit of stolen artwork. Artists /loathe/ the idea that their work may end up on Pintrest. If you found it on Pintrest, leave it on Pintrest.
Malicious intent or not, many Pintrest posters take the work without regards for the artist. If you don't see a /direct link/ back to the original artist's blog.
But it doesn't hurt anyone!
Except it does.
First things first, it's rude. They put a lot of time and effort into
It's still theft. It's not 'exposure'. It does not help the artist at all- if anything, you're only helping yourself and, at best, whichever person on Pintrest stole the peice to begin with.
Copyright laws. Especially now that people are talking about the death of Anne Rice, companies have the ability to legally go after fan creators- and they HAVE before. Anne Rice was particularly famous for that.
Art portfolios. Artists sometimes put their works into professional portfolios, and it looks really bad when @Random-User-404 has the exact same peice. It can be lengthy, annoying, and could cost them a job.
Fan merch. Some artists sell prints or other merch in stores on Redbubble or Etsy (in the states, at least; I'm sure Japan has their own set of 'support the artist' sites).
At best, art theft can lead to that creator not making enough income because someone else
At worst, the artist can get into an annoying and lengthy- on top of costly- issue with copyright laws.
* But I'M not the one selling their stuff!
You are still circulating the art to the point where bots and genuine art thieves can pick up the work. Not to mention, the longer a peice of work is in circulation, the harder it is for the artist to keep up with it.
It's exhausting, and it leads many creators to burnout. Yeah. There are a bunch of creators who have straight up stopped posting their work, because people wouldn't respect their wishes and stole it without permission.
It's annoying
Fan creation and fanart is supposed to be fun, but it's not when you have to hear about people taking your shit.
It's rude!
Someone put no doubt hours of work into that peice, and you're going to strip them of that credit and the praise that they deserve.
I don't make posts like that, so I can't possibly be an art thief.
I'm not going to say that you have to dig through every single account before reblogging someone's art or that you have to spend hours hunting for the original artist (but if you do know that someone is not posting an original work, and you can prove that, please do report them). However: supporting people who DO repost artwork is STILL harmful.
But how do I know if it's stolen?
Is there a watermark? Most stolen artwork has had the watermark purposefully cropped out.
Does the watermark match the profile? Again, not a completely perfect tactic, but like I said, watermarks are meant to lead viewers back to the original account, so there is usually some resemblance at least.
Big red flags
A Pintrest link. If it's on Pintrest, just assume that it's stolen.
"I don't know who the artist is." There is grey area here, because yeah posting a picture like "Hey, I'm looking for this artist," isn't technically reposting (depending on who you ask, but please handle it respectfully)
Wildly inconsistent art and coloring style. Most reporters post a wide selection of art from various different artists. Like, I don't want to say you'll know it when you see it, but... if they all look like they're drawn by different people, there's a really high chance that they are.
Feel free to add on reasons why it is bad, links to help artists revive stolen art, and more definitions or pointers if necessary.
Please do not harass people, definitely not as a first resort, but, if you recognize works that have been reposted, please reach out to the poster. If they don't take it down, please do report it.
Treat your artists well if you want them to stick around, guys.

Art Theft and Bullying in The Old Guard Fandom
Hey TOG fandom! Do you know that stealing art is a crime? Do you have a problem with bullying (“because that poc muslim artist deserves!11!” based on a random tumblr post) within Discord servers? You do?... then read on.
Please grab some cookies and tea (and get comfortable!) and read on. This is a SERIOUS matter that I, as an outsider, was able to see WITHOUT being influenced by anyone else. I am not friends with any of the people involved here, although after these events I have empathy towards them.
I’m telling you this so you won’t be able to say to me "you are allied with/you are influenced by"... That is not the case. I have facts and evidence, so please read! I will be talking about ART THEFT, BASHING, REPOSTING, AND DISGUSTING BULLYING BEHAVIOUR towards a person who is not even in the server. As a fellow fanartist I feel so bad because  “this artist deserves it” in their mind.
(Now: apparently there is a part of the beautiful The Old Guard fandom that thinks: the characters and people’s headcanons are more important rather than an actual person's well-being, and with every new illustration by the artist, they are badly spoken of. Because… ugh, why not?)
I talked about facts, so here’s one:
Tumblr media
If you joined this server (there are a couple servers with this name, please don't get mad at the wrong one - note the icon!)  The first thing you know is: karanoidandroid is a racist and a homophobe… in their opinion. People and also these mods think this because of some posts on tumblr by white people. AH.
Why? Hearsay, bimbi belli. If you go to this artist's page you won't find a single racist thing (the artist is literally a POC who is brown and a Muslim. How? - you may say- What? Ah yes, she must be under "white influence! 11 !! bad POC !!" and who says that? Ah right, a white person. Or another POC with a different experience.  wtf we have so many experiences, how can you say ‘you’re racist’ to a POC about this? Just because this artist’s preference is a different sex position, and no one is trying to force you to like it, eh!)
And from here on out... hatred. Terrible and personal hatred that has spread like wildfire. EVERYWHERE. Even people who know nothing about this fandom know that this artist is "racist and homophobic". Only.Because.Of.Hearsay.
So what did this artist do, you ask? She created a safe place on discord, away from tumblr. For people who like top!Joe. Don’t you like it? GOOD FOR YOU. That’s fantastic. We should as a fandom respect everyone's preference. This server was simply made so people could get away from tumblr and the drama and bullying. That’s it.
But did they leave this artist alone? No. The gossip had infected this fandom by now. It is now a "fact": this artist is x and y, you know. Because a couple people spread that, knowing nothing about the artist other than she was making a server they didn’t like.
Because THEY decided it. Because this artist decided not to fight and leave and you weren't satisfied with that.
Let’s BULLY a Muslim POC because we disagree with their views IN FANDOM! Because someone’s views on a CHARACTER are more important than an actual person, right? (According to sources who wished to remain anon, I know for sure the mod is white. A white mod is bullying and stealing the art of a brown Muslim woman because their views on FANDOM are different)
How?
READ these screenshots. They were posted a couple days ago. EVERY FUCKIN’ TIME this artist posted an art… they bully her. (So yeah, it’s NOT the first time)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
No source, no link, no name. It was posted by a Mod (in blue) and the point is: a rule of this group is “don’t steal art/don’t put art without source” BUT HEY- WE’RE MODS and this artist deserves it!11!!1!)
This poc muslim artist didn’t insist on “top!joe only”. It’s just her preference, you know? I don’t care about people’s preferences. If you want to read more about how racial issues have somehow gotten involved in sexual position preferences, check out this post by +lgbtq poc with a degree in Medieval Islamic History x (note: his blog is gone (bullying again!) so the link is to a reblog)
Tumblr media
“Where is the source?’ a person asks. They don’t want to put the source and THEY’RE THE MODS, they made that the R U L E.
But you already know, again only by hearsay: “the artist is homophobic and top!joe is full of bullshit”. (A mantra - but they’re NOT IN THE SERVER to know. It’s an assumption)  What bullshit? I dunno. I’ve been on tumblr for the past few months and I read everything, and what I read is just a preference, not racism. But they went to the artist saying “you can’t”. Just because they have a different opinion. A ‘woke opinion’ against a POC Muslim artist. Well.
You don’t like her preference? Again: BRAVO. Amen, that’s okay. But it’s not “end of story kiss kiss”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you steal and you put a drawing without source… it’s not a joke anymore, do you know this mods? Even if you don’t like the artist or agree with all of her opinions, THEFT IS THEFT. There’s no excuse for it, especially if their excuse is saying the artist ‘deserves’ it.
Discord community Guidelines:
#1 Do not organize, participate in, or encourage harassment of others.
#17 You may not share content that violates anyone's intellectual property or other rights.
Anyway the artist deserves their art to be stolen ONLY BECAUSE OF HEARSAY everyone knows that she is..? (chorus: racist and homophobic!) And this was decided by white people and is now being used to bully a POC Muslim.
BRAVI! Have a biscuit!
You’re bashing and bashing and bashing and bashing for MONTHS, so now you don’t know the truth, but only this…  because /this/ it’s common knowledge.
Stealing art and trying to say that's okay because they’ve decided that someone they don't know is racist doesn't change the fact they stole is disgusting. Then saying it’s just a joke? wow, the audacity.
Tumblr media
The point of all this is clear: Since I hate this person/I have this immeasurable hatred towards this artist from posts that other people have made about her THEN I am a mod so I can do it, I am allowed to steal her art, bash the artist and mock her in other comments and every time this person just… exists.
THESE ARE THE FACTS. I have so many screenshots. Thanks to some people I know within the discord. This is only ONE day. It has happened before.
Tumblr media
Why “that artist and linking her blog would break multiple server rules and make numerous people uncomfortable?” Ah, yes, c’mon you know… I know you know! (Chorus: Because the artist is racist and homophobic… even though they’ve never spoken to her, and are literally bullying a POC Muslim and refusing to source art)
Well, yeah, Without proof. Just “common knowledge and the same old “by hearsay” on tumblr. By ‘woke’ people and then it was shared by people like me or you if you don’t know the story.
Tumblr media
And how did this story end? They stole the drawing. They put the stolen illustration in a group of TWO HUNDRED and SEVENTY PEOPLE and said  “oops, i did it again” and they refuse to link the source. It’s stealing. And it’s serious. It’s terrible because they are bashing this artist all the time.
TO REITERATE
Tumblr media
1.They STOLE an artist’s work and laughed about it, which is bullying and against their own rules. This has happened more than once with this artist.
2. When they were called out, they bullied the person calling them out.
3. When they didn’t like that they were called out, THE PEOPLE (yellow and green) CALLING THEM OUT WERE KICKED OUT OF THE SERVER, despite art theft and bullying being against the server rules. Again, the rules that they made.
Regardless of what you think of the artist, stealing art sets a dangerous precedent for future fandoms. If someone doesn’t like your opinion does that mean they can steal YOUR art/writing/creations? Because if you think it’s okay for this person’s art to be stolen because you don’t agree with them, that’s basically what you’re saying.
They were cruel. And TOG doesn’t deserve this. I love this movie so much. I love this fandom. I love to make fanarts of Joe and Nicky. Joe is so sweet, full of love, a true warrior and Nicky isn’t an Italian dramaqueen, he isn’t naive, he is kind and a bravo sniper. Two imperfect men, but perfect for each other. A Muslim and a Christian, a white and a brown man. Together. Not stereotyped. Wow, thanks at least for that 2020.
and I hope we can do better, in future.
