Hello Supablr. Sorry this took forever, but I've been working on a follow up project once I'm done with these. More on that later, so for now just enjoy the takes

Skarra: Feral, cackling gremlin trying to pretend he's not empty inside. Needs a hug, possibly several hugs, but is too afraid of cooties to ask. He's either going to have a Prince Zuko level redemption or go full Anakin Skywalker

Dingaan: Dammit Dingaan! You can't be both the lovable, clueless himbo and dumb, jock bully at the same time. Pick one!

Automatic: So, if we ever get a Rookie Season 2, are we gonna see him become the third wheel in Skarra and Shakes' rivalry? Cause no joke, this guy lost his job to Shakes and has way more reason to hate him than Skarra does

Max Power: I'm not a shipper, but why are there no pairings between him and Shakes? I mean, technically there's two of him, but still

Dooma: Oh Dooma, Dooma, Dooma. The writers made such a big deal about bringing you back, and then they promptly forgot about you. Guess upstaging Skarra really isn't all that easy.

Uber: Somehow, a 6.5, 300+ lb. German muscle man is giving me more babygirl vibes then a Sailor Moon character. Also, it's hilarious when you realize he outranks his coach.

Ja Nein: The rarely seen lovechild between adorkableness and pure evil. The "first day at the unit" meme was invented for this guy specifically.

Thor: If he grows a beard, we can call him Odin

Von Eye: Why did it take me four seasons to realize his name is a pun? What is wrong with me?

Chuck: Seriously, I want to see this guy succeed. I want him train up his team, pull off a win, and feel good about it just so he can tell Toni to screw off

John Johnson: The most loveable himbo in a team that consists of equally loveable himbos

Miko Chen: The only thing not completely wholesome about him is how little screen time he gets. That's about as shameful as Ura-Giri's strategies.

De los Santos: He really needs his own Boss theme, but does that make him the bad guy? Cause lets face it, he's not the bad guy

Don Aldo: That's not how hair physics works

Ninja: The second most absent arch-rival in my history of watching cartoons. At least they both brought him back and gave him an identity as El Matador's rival. Still wish we got to see more of the tigers

Liquido: Ten years ago, if I told myself I would one day describe someone as a "sociopathic surfer-dude" I would start to question my own sanity

Andre Meda: His name is an astronomy pun, his team uses constellations as a secret formation code, and his coach has them train in outer space. This guy is a huge closet nerd, and you can't change my mind.

Vladmir Savich: They made a few half-baked attempts to make him a villain and the fanbase is having none of it. Good for him.

Riano: WHY IS THERE NOT MORE CONTENT OF HIM AND SHAKES BEING FRIENDS? They were such good friends, and we have like zero content to prove it. Do the writers not realize how much of a foil he could have been to Skarra? Riano and Shakes being best friends, and Skarra is feeling like he's been replaced, thus hating Shakes even more. Sorry for the long rant but c'mon Moonbug, this guy had so much potential

Ink and Secrets

Prompt: A little of enemies to lovers, where you and Remus, two individuals with a history of conflicts, gradually build a mysterious bond through secret notes on books. Word count: 2.6 k Warnings: None, (a bit of enemies to lovers).

Hey love, I ship you with Moony!

The first thing Remus noticed when he met you was your hair; he thought it looked incredibly soft, and when you sat in front of him in Charms, he couldn't help but pull on it.

"Hey!" You complained, and he just gave you the most charming smile you'd ever seen in your life. So you frowned and turned back to pay attention to class.

Later, during your first week, you got paired with Peter in Potions, and you became close. He introduced you to James, Sirius, and, in the end, Remus. Peter wasn't very good at Potions, nor was James, and Sirius was great if he decided he wanted to pay attention to it, but most of the time he didn't. Therefore, the person Peter was always calling over to your table was Remus. It was always Remus. You were not particularly great at Potions either, but you studied extra hard so Peter would stop calling his damned friend. You did not like Remus butting into your business as much as he did. And you stared daggers at him whenever he came up to your table because of Peter's request. Peter was so oblivious to your quarrel with Remus that he even assumed you had a crush on his friend, so he called him over even more often.

"Stop calling him, will you?" You told him one day in the second year while you worked on a particularly complicated potion.

"But I thought you liked him?"

"Like him? Like hell I'd like Remus Lupin! He's an entitled little pushover, I don't wanna see him."

Peter was so impressed with your words that he was speechless; he genuinely thought you had a thing for each other. So eventually, he stopped calling him, and whenever either of you needed any help, you'd call Lily instead. Sooner or later, the famous Gryffindor group was created, and everyone was friends with each other, everyone except for you and Remus. You still kept your distance.

So much distance between the two, that in fourth year when you discovered there was a person who had borrowed the same books as you had at the library, you started to fall for them, completely oblivious to the fact that "Moony" was actually Remus. You started leaving little notes on the books you found, and he would answer them, always diverted to see your opinion. He decided not to tell you he was Moony because he was scared your little secret text exchanges would disappear. He'd even asked the boys to call him by his nickname when you were around.

When you finally discovered Moony was Remus, it was because of James.

"Hey Moons, you're coming to Kat's party, right?" You pulled your head from the book, wondering who James was talking to; Remus ignored James, trying to maintain his identity a secret, "Moons?" he insisted.

Remus finally threw a warning look at James. "Moons?" You asked, not having noticed, since your head was turned back to the boy in question.

"Yeah, short for Moony."

"You know Moony!?"

"Of course I know Moony, it's Remus!" He answered as a matter of fact. Remus banged his head over the table. You turned to him, feeling like you'd been played with, and stormed out of the common room with a frown.

"What's with her?" James asked, confused.

"You're an idiot mate," Remus responded, sighing and looking to the side.

You ran to the library and picked some of the books you and Moony Remus had exchanged notes in, and you cursed yourself for being so dumb. It was obvious it was him, his slightly sloppy handwriting, the way he drew his "a." Moony was Remus, and Remus was Moony, and you wanted to die for falling for his trick. You were too focused on your despair that you didn't realize when Remus entered the library. You only realized it was him when he pulled back a chair and sat down in front of you and all the books. "Hey!"

"You've come to gloat? You got me, I fell for your prank, congratulations!"

He sighed. "I wasn't trying to prank you."

"Yeah, and elephants fly."

"I'm serious, I... didn't tell you it was me because I thought you'd stop exchanging notes. You're not exactly my fan #1."

"Of course, I'm not Remus, but it's not like me either!"

"I do." He corrected.

"You don't! The first thing you did when you met me was pull on my hair!"

He looked at you in shock. "In... the first year?"

"Of course! You don't remember?" You asked, annoyance growing on you.

"I did it because I thought it was... pretty."

You stared directly into his eyes, trying to find an ounce of a joke; he seemed sincere, but then again, he also seemed sincere when he pretended he was someone else. "Don't ever toy with me again, Lupin!" You told him as you stood up and left the library. But once you were back in your room, you couldn't stop thinking about him. About his pretty hair and his broad back and how beautiful he actually was. You cursed yourself for thinking such a thing. He's the enemy, you tried to remind yourself. But what if Remus is more like your Moony than he is the Remus you had made up in your head?

You had to get your head off of him, so you decided to go to the kitchens and asked the elves to lend you some space to bake something. They did, a small elf named Jayis had even offered to help you, and between the two of you, you ended up baking a cake, cookies, and even a pie. When you were done, you were even more pissed because you had only managed to make yourself think even more of Remus Lupin. You packed the things you had baked in a box and walked out of the kitchens, quickly realizing it had gone dark. You'd lost track of time.

You tried to maintain yourself in the shadows and hid behind a statue when you heard some steps from behind, but Remus found you.

"Hey luv!" He said with a soft smile.

"Remus." you acknowledged.

"Can we talk?"

"No," you said before turning around and attempting to continue walking. He grabbed onto your arm. And you accidentally dropped the packet of food you carried. You quickly leaned down to pick up the stuff you'd dropped, he did the same, your hands brushing against the other as the two reached for a cookie. You turned to him, with a frown. "What are you playing at, Remus?"

"I'm not playing." He affirmed, tightening his hand around yours, "I like you." You stared at him, trying to decide if it was some sort of trap. "I'm still the same Moony you've been talking to through books. You just hadn't seen that side of me because you never gave me the chance. I had no clue you were still hung up about me pulling your hair."

"Well, that was a rude thing to do!"

He ignored your comment and continued "When I figured we were reading the same books, I just couldn't bring myself to talk to you directly; it was easier to talk to you through the books. And you were more than happy to respond to Moony, I…"

"Didn't want it to disappear," you finished, your own feelings perfectly resonating with his feelings. He nodded, and you chuckled lightly. You couldn't believe you'd fallen for Remus Lupin of all people. "At least Moony's handsome; I was scared you'd be someone like Severus."

Remus laughed, but once he caught up with the meaning of your words, he turned to you, asking, "Did you just call me handsome?"

"Please tell me you're not going to be insufferable about it."

He smiled cheekily. "If you kiss me, I'll forget about it." You gasped at his forwardness, and he leaned closer to you. "So?"

You laughed and shook your head, picking up some of the things you'd dropped and placing a quick kiss on his cheek before standing up and running towards the common room. His smile widened as he saw you run, and he stood up, running behind you, a bright smile plastered on his face.

Ok but Résistance?? With a capital R??

Quick backgrounder on French history to contextualise this:

During the WW2, when France got invaded by Nazi Germany, simply put, the state collaborated with the invaders and established the Vichy government loyal to Nazi Germany.

The French patriots responded by establishing a clandestine resistance movement, la Résistance, which would employ guerrilla tactics to make the invasion as hard as possible to the Germans.

La Résistance has a tremendous importance in French cultural identity. And Miraculous picking up on that is amazing. They even call each other "comrade" i can't even djdjshshd

Now, the tactics employed by the Résistance weren't so pretty all the time - after all, they were basically a guerrilla. Innocent people would occasionally get harmed by the Résistance's activities. Of course, to the Résistance fighters, that was a price that had to be paid to be liberated from tyranny. See: Alya opposes to Nino's plan of getting someone akumatised so that they can discover how the Monarch transfers Miraculous powers to his victims. She says that it is cruel to put an innocent person in distress, while both Nino, Marinette, and Adrien agree that in the great scheme of things, the plan could help LB & CN. They also have the added justification that Ladybug's powers would undo all the harm, but is it moral to make someone suffer even if you'd heal them just thereafter? So imo probably for the first time, we see LB & CN sliding from the white to the grayer side.

Another thing about the Résistance: since it was a clandestine movement, there was A LOT going on in terms of intelligence and counter-intelligence. The Résistance had members inside the government who would give them important information like German logistic movements (not unlike Adrien recording his dad's akumatisation), and there would be people within the Résistance who would betray the cause, or even dangles, aka people specifically joining the Résistance to spy on them and report to the Germans (just like Lila does), and even at times feed them false information (we'll maybe see that happen?..). The way Lila talks to Gabriel without looking at him and the way Gabriel denies the information (because that would be useful only to Monarch and he obviously isn't) is so spy aesthetic and I DIG IT.

With all the secrets and secret identity schenanigans, I've been DYING to see some infiltration and double-crossing in Miraculous. In fact, it is where I am going with my WIP Miraculous Fanscripts. I also forever had this idea of writing a Résistance AU where Gabriel is collaborating with the Germans and Adrien is secretly in the Résistance and Marinette is also in the Résistance and... I'm rambling.

But yeah, just to mention also how I previously pointed out that in the later episodes, we start seeing some antagonism against LB & CN, and how the political wind may turn against them later in this season. And Marinette and Adrien and their closest friends being part of the Resistance movement would fit extremely well in that setting. Just sayin 👀

After I started reading (salt) fics and my friend explained why people salted Alya but before I watched the show I also dislike Alya. Like my friend told me what happened in Chameleon (that's the episode Lila get's Marinette expelled right?) without the context of Marinette's history of manipulitive behaviour when it comes to Adren making it somewhat believable that Marinette's just mad Lila has a crush on Adrien

('Ladybug' is the one where Lila gets Mari expelled. 'Chameleon' is where Lila showed up again claiming a disability to get a front row seat next to Adrien)

Yeah no like!

If saltfics were your first interpretation of fandom, then yeah it sound.s. It sounds Real Bad™.

But like 99% of the 'bad' shit that Alya does can be explained by either

1.) she's a teenager who doesn't fully comprehend long-term consequences and the bigger picture(things like wanting to learn the Heroes' secret identities. She's a kid who is caught up in the fantasy, not fully understanding the danger LB and CN would be in.)

2.) she means well but can steamroll situations when it comes to what she wants(Reflektdoll, where since Juleka is having hesitations and they only have Adrien for another half hour, she makes the executive decision to get the job done with Mari as a replacement instead of doing a solo shoot with Juleka when she calms down)

3.) From her PoV, it is entirely logical to make this decision! (After hearing Marinette assume Kagami is some evil bitch planning to kidnap Adrien and the subesequent attempts at public humiliation(Animaestro) and sabotage(Ikari Gozen) to stop her before eventually realizing Kagami is actually nice and attempting to befriend her, is it /really/ that far fetched that Marinette's hatred of Lila is jealousy?)

4.) The Writers Made A Decision (why Alya can't learn that Lila is lying even after learning that Marinette is Ladybug.)

Alya is a good friend trying her best and I love her so much.

Daerhovan was always a restless soul from the day he was born it seemed. Desiring to find new lands and discover what secrets they hold. He has an almost ravenous yearning for knowledge, a trait that got him into trouble in his youth, and shaped him well into his adult years and onward. His favorite subjects are those pertaining to the natural world, but he’ll dabble in the histories of the free peoples on occasion. It can be said he never learns some things however, as Daerhovan gets rather impulsive, which has led to dangerous situations. He calls it thinking on his feet.

In social situations he can come across as aloof and even cold. With so few children to grow up alongside with and living in self isolation for centuries while he studied; conversation can be awkward with him. Getting him to talk about a subject he knows or likes can make him a little more involved and even lively. He does crave interaction at times, but doesn’t know how to go about it often. Small-talk is his bane. Jokes have a tendency to go over his head.

While he’s happier than most of his elven peers during the years they’re still around it seems, he s subject to existential crisis’s every now and then, especially as he ages. Can be very melancholic during episodes as he thinks about the eventual fate of all temporal beings and his place in the big picture.

He’s normally a calm sort when it comes to disagreements and can keep a level head most of the time. Hurting anyone or thing he loves or considers his own however, can incite a violence within him that can scare both the antagonist and the person who was wronged.

- Has a long scar from his left pectoral to his navel from a maddened huorn that never fully heals. Though it becomes a white line that can be hard to distinguish in his older years.

- A little bit neutral. But can be easily swayed by the opinions of close friends and loved ones. The only forces that are black and white to him are Sauron and the Valar.

- Knows a vast slew of languages. Silvan, Sindarin and its dialects. Westron, and just a smidge of khuzdul.

- Will hoard things he finds interesting in chests buried throughout multiple regions of Middle Earth.

- An avid scholar, mainly of nature and history. Has written tomes on the study of living things himself. Likes to hoard books and find abandoned ruins or peaceful glades to spend days reading/studying in.

- Avoids conflict when he can, but will fight when the need arises.

- Uses his staff as a club when it’s useful.

- While he doesn’t claim to be a swordsman, he’s quite proficient with them thanks to training by his nephew. Often carries one and can dual wield on the battle field with both sword and staff, making him a force to be reckoned with.

- Used to be a very competent healer, but because of his much needed efforts to fight in the War of the Ring, has lost most of his ability to heal by elvish means. Can still do basic procedures, but the magic associated with elves who are true healers has gone.

- While not as in tune with the elements as he is with flora and fauna, has some influence over them. As little may be thought. Can beseech trees for help in battle to stir the earth. If purified by elvish means, can use water to more proficiently heal wounds and encourage plant growth. Senses that something could be done with fire, lightning, and air, but will need to study further on it.

Yall, idk how I feel about this situation (opinions welcome)

So I have a bf of 3 years who I live with. We started dating while I was dealing with 4n@ and knows I had a looooong history with it before then. I have been “recovered” for about 3 years since and did a good job convincing him that it’s over and done with.

He’s known I’ve had body image issues for a long time and wanted to lose weight and one night he told me it’s kind of unattractive that I always talk about hating my body but not doing anything about it🙃(he’s very fit and goes to the gym constantly). But yeah this comment immediately sent me into a relapse around Christmas and I’ve lost 30 lbs since.

Obviously I’m keeping that part a secret but I’ve been very open about how I’m working hard to lose lots of weight and he’s been enabling TF out of me. Like telling me to watch my calories and applauding me when I barely eat. I told him I was doing a 3 day water fast, which I was worried would set off some alarms, but nope. He thought it was a great idea and scolded me for even thinking about breaking it early. He even agreed to keep it a secret from my family when we visited.

So yeah I don’t know how to feel because on one hand I’m glad he made the comment that made me get my self control back + he always calls me skinny and tells me how light I am now🥳. On the other hand, it’s kind of baffling to me that he knows about my past and is being completely oblivious or just straight up feeding into it on purpose maybe ???

Idk I’ve always known he likes skinnier girls (he used to say a thigh gap was his is biggest turn on💀kms). Soooo yeah if anyone actually read all this I would love to hear some thoughts❤️

I'm so obssesed with Junko and I'm angry that Kodaka doesn't want to tell us her backstory. So I do this my own way and I create her and Mukuro backstory and their family history, so I write about my hc's. This is part 1 beacause it would be too long.

Soo girls in the early years of their lifes lives in very poor conditions. Their mother didn't want to cure her postantal depression and personality disorders and she never really cared about her children. Junko (Mukuro too) was terrified about her mother and she was upset that her mother didn't even love and look after her. Sisters parents didn't get along. Their mother was obssesed with their father. He was so possesive and unstable. Their father never wanted this relationship. When he was young, he was in secret relationship with the Junko's and Mukuro's uncle. When his father (grandfather of the sisters) found out about this his son is gay, he got furious and force him to being in relation ship with mother of the sisters (their uncle sister).The only happiness in Junko life was her father. He tried his best being good i loving father. He loved Junko so much and saw in her his mini him. They both were very smart, talented and "prefect". Junko also was more similar to her father than Mukuro. Their father loved Mukuro too but didn't give her as much attention like He gave to Junko and Mukuro was really upset because of it. Their father was so unhappy with sisters mother. He cheated her with a lot of men and had sex with them, even when his kids was in home. He missed their uncle so he tried to forgot about him doing this. But that was so uncomfortable for a little kids. When Junko and Mukuro was seven their father k!lled himself. He has been treated for depression since he was a teenager. Some time before his death Junko she dumped his medication down the drain by accident. Because of this her mother started to hate her and she blamed her for all situation. That night when their father died, Junko and Mukuro were taken from mother because of neglect and poor conditions. A few days after they moved into the orphanage, Junko met Matsuda. She was fascinated him from the beggining. Nobody like Matsuda in the school because of his actions and Junko was the only person in the entire orphanage who got the guts to associate with him. But Junko wasn't as assuned as him. Every teacher love her with all their heart and her grades matches to this. She had attention of all kids in her class but she still looked only at Matsuda. She didn't want to be friends with any of this fake, boring and annoying brats. They became friends slowly. Junko often was coming to Matsuda and accost him by ripping his manga off or asking him for help in homework. They didn't even notice when they really became a friends. (Mukuro never liked Matsuda and was so jealous of Junko). The sisters have to meet with their mother once a week. During these meetings occured to physical and verbal violnece. After theirs father death, their mother became more depressed and she became addicted to drŮgs. Junko hated her life as it possible. She missed her dad and felt so guilty about it. She thought that she should k!lled herself, not her dad. She was tired that everyone thinks she's "prefect". So many people demanded too much of her and something she couldn't give them. It made Junko stoped enjoy of life even more, made her bored and feeling not enough. She wanted to be better and better, she studied a lot. She stayed at night to learn everything by heart and won't let down any of her guardians and teachers. To meet expectations the people around her, she started to dangerous diets (she literally was (169 cm/5'7" and 45 kg/99 lbs... she can had relapse because of modelig) and really tiring, and long exercises. First person who see that with Junko is something wrong is Matsuda. He saw how she throw up the food and that she lost weight drastically. He told the guardians about it. She was watched by them during the meals but when they all see there is a real problem Junko was hospitalized. When Junko was in hospital she was mortally offended at Yasuke. After time she realized that Matsuda wanted her good and she asked him to visit her in the hospital. After a few months Junko can leave the hospital because she gained weight enough.

That he got off essentially with no punishment for LYING TO MARINETTE'S FACE and keeping secret that HE KNEW HER FUCKING IDENTITY and she doesn't even get mad at him for lying about it, and the narrative doesn't punish him for it either in any meaningful way. I mean, I was happy he had to leave for a while, but then him learning Mirakungfu is just ehhhh I'd have preferred he just never found out and left anyway to go travel with Jagged. I also hate that Jagged is canonically his dad/a deadbeat dad. I liked Jagged significantly more before that was canon, but after that being canon it kind of ruined his character for me ngl...

5. What's the first song that comes to mind when you think about them?

Not really a song-song per se, but I think of jacksepticeye's Night in the Woods playthrough when he's like "why is there always some douchebag with a guitar who's like 'I sing about my feelings cause I play guitar'" and that is always the first thing that comes to mind when I think about him. Also, since seeing the Barbie movie I think of that one scene with all the Kens playing guitar at the Barbies, and I love that movie so much for pointing out how cringy it is.

They make him more attractive when they draw him than he actually is in canon

Literally everything else XD People who have been here a long time know about birthdaygate. I hate that they pretend he is better than Adrien, I hate that they act like the love square is toxic and their ship should have been endgame, I hate that they take key traits from Adrien and give them to the blue boy in order to make him more interesting but then shit on Adrien and act like he's the worst character in the show and somehow a creep/abuser toward Marinette/LB while propping up the blue boy on a pedestal as if he's god's gift to the fandom, I hate that they excused away him lying to Marinette about knowing her identity and even praised him for it when literally a season prior to that they shit on Adrien for finding out in CB and not telling her when she just literally had no idea and never asked, but when blue boy gets asked point blank if he knows, he lied and somehow that was perfectly fine and acceptable and they were glad he finally did something selfish/for himself for once. Literally, every time I read a take by blue ship truthers, I feel like my braincells die.

Listen, for those that are like why so negative about the blue boy, Cat? What did he ever do to you? I want it to be known, that my first impression of him was very neutral. I didn't love or hate him. He was just okay. I thought he was a little bland, but I was open to seeing where he would go. The fandom 100% ruined him for me entirely. Canon helped later in S4 as I've already talked about, but it was mostly the fandom. Birthday spamming bitches. But when he first debuted, I just thought he was kinda meh, which was a crime apparently. But since then I've been more open with my disdain, so idgaf about it anymore. He's still mid imo.

An old character of mine that I drew as a dog bc human faces are hard. Supreme blorbo, so brace for INSANE amounts of loredump in the readmore.

So, His/Their name is Nikya Kekoa. Born to a family who was harboring a whistleblower for Lexcorp, Nikya was separated from his family when a failed assassination attempt on the whistleblower forced the assassin to abduct him as a hostage to escape. Raised by a clan of assassins, he was taken in by the poisoner, a wise old woman named Liyu.

Under Liyu's watch, Nik grew to be a tough fighter and a master of potions and poisons. By the age of 10, he was far outclassing many of the people who were in the same age group as him, and even some beyond. Eventually, this caused tension that forced him to flee, and so he ran off with Donna Troy, the second Wonder Girl, and his future mentor.

Nik's powers work in three categories. He has his artifact granted powers, which include his bracelets, which are made from adamantine and can deflect most attacks and produce a powerful force shield, and his sword, which is made of songbird cries, able to easily conceal into a the hilt, and able to cut through anything sound could cut through.

The next category is a small array of spells, largely originally learned for self-preservation and to save others. They include a slow-falling spell, a flame-reduction spell, a sound-reduction spell, a spell to restore memories, and a few spells that mostly involve reading an object's locational history, as a means of tracking where it's been and where it might go. These spells all are powered by his own magical energy, and will be unusable if he is somehow cut off from the Earth's familiar magical fields.

Finally, Nik has a layer of powers that are more physical attributes than powers. He is naturally strong enough to lift about 3.5k lbs, and is a fast runner and master hand-to-hand combatant. He has a healing factor that functions by converting injured tissue into plant matter, which his blood naturally accelerates the growth/regrowth/healing of. In addition to this, his skin is naturally rhino thick. Finally, Nik is always able to tell if he is being lied to or misled, to what extent, and what specific words are a lie. He is able to see through almost all illusions, and can often see through people's masks. This power also makes him able to quickly locate concealed objects, hidden doors, or secret passages. However, he is also physically unable to lie, and while he is able to mislead, it can hamper his ability to use his powers, will cause him physical pain, and frankly, he doesn't like it.

Nik is a very tired individual. He's got a lot going on, and is constantly doing his best to not have everything crash down around him, but another part of him is secretly always wishing he'll go to a mission and not come back. Nevertheless, he's a studious person with a love of nature and stories. He's devoted hours to reading every scrap of literature he could get his hands on, and has entire books memorized from sheer enjoyment. When he's down, he finds that some hard physical labor helps him clear his head, and on the rare occasion he's happy, you'll see a bottle in his hands that is far too low to be alright. He's not got the best coping techniques, but he's had a rough life.

He went by Lost Boy from his origin as a superhero until about 2007, when he was about 16, when he changed it to Black Star.

Catseye the Mystery Engine [NWR AU]

History

Catseye is a LB&SCR A1. It's not entirely certain which one she is, as she has no builder's plate and she certainly wouldn't tell you. All that's really known about her before her arrival on the island is that she was built by the LB&SCR.

After arriving on the island as a fugitive from British Railways in 1957, she went into hiding on the Brendam branch with the help of Edward. This didn't last long however, as Sir Topham Hatt found her out. Instead of sending her away as she originally thought he would, he purchased sent her to Crovan's Gate works, where she was repainted into NWR Blue and given the number 14 spot on the railway. She spent a brief stint as Vicarstown's station pilot, but was replaced in 1961 when she was re-allocated to serve as the Crovan's Gate works shunter, a role which she still performs to this day.

Personality

Catseye is gruff, rough and tough as well as brash, abrasive and grumpy. She's very secretive about where she came from and what she did before she ran away to Sodor. She can be argumentative and disagreeable at times... most times actually, but she can be quite calm when she wants to be. All in all, Catseye is an enigma of a locomotive, though she's certainly earned her keep.

Additional Information

Calvin Lucien is a high threat to the Foundation and its goals. As a boy, nearly his entire family was murdered by the O5 Council due to learning confidential secrets. The only ones not confirmed dead were Calvin and his grandmother Evelyn, with his younger sister Eliza said to be missing. His grandmother raised him until her death when Calvin was 12. For the following years, Calvin switched between several foster homes, eventually becoming curious about the occult. When he was 18, he joined the military, excelling particularly at all physical programs. After another few years, he was nominated to join Mobile Task Force Alpha 1, aka the Red Right Hand.

However, on one mission, Calvin was kidnapped by the Chaos Insurgency, once a group comprised of ex-Red Right-Hand members that had grown exponentially. There was when Calvin learned the truth of his family’s murder, that the O5 Council had them slaughtered to preserve secrecy. Enraged, Calvin left the Foundation right then and joined the Chaos Insurgency as both military personnel and Foundation intelligence.

Addendum 1

Recent information has revealed that Calvin and close associates have been planning a visit to Iraq. As nearly all in the Foundation know, the major anomaly located in that area is The Gate Guardian. However, as nearly none know, it is also where ᗩᕲᗩᘻ ᒪᓰᐺᘿS the former O5-12 went missing. After ᕼᘿ ᘺᗩS Sᘿᗩᒪᘿᕲ ᗩᘺᗩᖻ his retirement, he was never seen again, though there is strong speculation that he retreated to the area in which The Gate Guardian protects. It is also theorized that the reason for Calvin’s increased specialty training is for some “Hail Mary” against the foundation.

Almost said Victorian era but i think it IS the Victorian era lol

Vampire AU

This would be really funny bc the Darkling is basically a vampire anyway. And him as like a centuries old melodramatic bitch and Alina as the disgruntled fledgling from the modern era with no sense of glamor whatsoever trying to figure out how to get rid of the fang lisp and being most bummed out bc she can’t buy a fucking mcmuffin in the morning anymore would be so funny.

As for the actual premise, I could see like really leaning into the age old reincarnated wife trope, but maybe going in the OG Dark Shadows take on it, where it’s more about trying to *make her* into the old GF and kind of brainwash her into it. But she actually turns into a vampire very early on and you get the above incompatibilities in full force.

(That being said. A typical Dracula AU of the TGT gang would also be VERY FUN)

Heathers

OH MY GOD I mean frankly I don’t think this needs any changing whatsoever, the Darkling is simply JD. Alina as Veronica is a mildly harder fit but she has that same kind of sarcastic grit. I feel like the biggest hurdle is getting his characterization to a point where he’d want to suicide bomb the whole school— I do not think he’s at all typically prone to self destruction over having the chance to at all control anything. But if LB managed to make Dark Academia Darklina *cute* and actually compatible then I think Heathers!Darkling can be a messier more destructive flavor.

If we’re going way off script though. I think Darklina as the very very fucked up teacher/student serial killer duo could be INTERESTING.

Phantom of the Opera

Not going to lie, the funniest part of this is making the Darkling ugly because he’s SO vain. I think if his face ever got fucked up he’d be so wretched about it. I would like to see it!!

I think it’s actually really simple to just swap out his grand plans with the obsession over music. And there’s a fairly 1:1 similarity there of Erik’s belief that he is owed Christine’s love because he’s suffered so much in his life and the Darkling thinking Alina is like the cosmic answer to his loneliness and his rightful soulmate whether she wants to be or not goddammit! And of course there’s the mentor/protégée aspect and inherent manipulation. I think the end result of such an AU would probably just be Kay!Phantom if Christine was an angry wet cat.

Anyway literally like 75% of the reason I like TGT as a fandom source material is because it allows me to play dolls with characters that can be slotted into a POTO meets Elisabeth das Musical type dynamic with a) actual magic, b) no real history to feel weird about c) a phantom type character that is not ugly agshdf I’m shallow okay

Devil Wears Prada

I’m kind of going insane over the thought of the Darkling in the fashion world. He would kill at it tbh. I think pretty much everything would be the same as the movie except we just have Alina and him as Andy and Miranda Priestly analogues, and they shack up together lmfao. 10/10 no notes, I don’t think anything else needs changing.

Star Wars
