Edward’s actor weeping as he ends that awful story is such a compassionate touch for such a cold character. It lands perfectly. I still think the brothers are over utilized, but everything they’re doing to characterize Edward, especially as regards his relationship to Thomas, is amazing. With his emphatic “you’re my brother” last episode, you can almost believe he did love him once, and it just got harder and harder as the years got on.
