It is both a blessing and a curse to be gifted with the ability to feel things so deeply. I need to work on this. I'm always finding something about myself that could use some improvement. Always. This can be both a good and I bad thing. I want to be great.... But just how great? When will my soul find a place where I am comfortable.... Life is consistent.... And I am happy. Loving yourself us hard when you are raised to believe you're not worth the pot you piss in. My father said something to me recently that's stuck in my mind. He said " There's no big happy ending or surprise with life. There's no pot of gold at the end of the road. We live.... Then we die. " At that very moment I realized that I had been chasing this "pot of gold" my entire life. Searching for a place where I belonged. Searching for a purpose. I was always hopeful....
