Remember that moment in ITSV, when Miles first meets his world's Spider-Man and their spider senses do the thing?
The background behind Peter is as we'd expect; the classic red and blue.
But at first Miles' background is green and purple, two colors he's never associated with at all throughout the movie. As the moment goes on, it shifts to match Peter's.
We are literally watching Miles' fate change and the anomaly happen.
It's well established that the spider that bit him was not supposed to even be in that universe, meaning our Miles was supposed to be something else before it happened.
This isn't true for ITSV, but in every other version of Spider-Man, the main color scheme for the Prowler is green and purple.
Our Miles was supposed to become the next Prowler in his world. And the only reason he's not, is because of the original Prowler. Miles switched his fate with Earth-42 Miles.

it's actually so incredibly homophobic of the universe that my love language is physical touch and half of my friends live oceans and countries and expensive plane trips away where I can't give them cuddles.

Since I posted some of my old fanart yesterday... if you're not familiar with Slayers, and thus have never heard its amazing music, do check it out.
It's largely by the same songwriter, Masami Okui, that did Utena's iconic opening (Rinbu Revolution) and ofc (TRUTH) and sung by a duo of her and Hayashibara Megumi (you know, the GOAT)
The entire OST pretty much slaps. there's only a couple of bad image songs in an absolute expanse of pure gold. GIVE A REASON, the opening to the second season, tends to be the reigning favorite. (I've a hard time pinning down my absolute favorite... of the original openings, it might be Breeze, but all three are so good. Of the entire catalog? Impossible to choose. Midnight Blue, Raging Waves, Within my Unlimited Desires, Gloria, Get Along... Impossible Choice)

Suddenly smacked in the face by the implication of Romeo's message where he says "I remember you, so there's no reason for us to fight. I suppose."
I always thought the wording was weird, but didn't think too much on it... Until recently after we discussed some datamined stuff in the Carmeo/Promeo server. There's a scrapped line (where P was supposed to speak) that says "I may not remember, but I'm still your son" during the NP fight, and while the scrapped lines are their own can of worms, let's focus on the memory parts.
I had always thought that once a puppet woke up, they would just get their memories back. But the fact seems to be this: There are select memories that come back to give bits and pieces of their past that "wake" them up-- cause them to change, as we see with P and the necklace; As we see from the spliced memories at the Black Seaside. However, it might not be all one's memories that come back. Whether those spaces stay blank or come back over time, who knows.
What I'm trying to get at here is...
Romeo's memories might only consist of Carlo at the time of waking. Carlo was what woke Romeo-- "I remember you"-- He had the necklace, he knew from who it was; He recognized the face P was modeled after. "So there's no reason for us to fight, I suppose"-- there's a lack of confidence in the wording here. Friends aren't supposed to fight, right? That's what his memory tells him, at least.
And the only memories P tends to get in regards to his past? Those in relation to Romeo, his aspirations, and of his own death. Seemingly, these are the things most important to him.
They were the most important people to each other; They remembered each other, just one too late than the other.

If I had a nickel for everytime Kevin Michael Richardson and Rob Paulson worked together voicing a duo of unlikely allies in an early 2000’s tv show, with Richardson’s character getting regularly beat up and his stuff ruined and Paulson’s character’s having an R name, a far more famous blue relative, and a penchant for annoying Richardson’s character by making sandwiches, I’d have two nickels.
Which isn’t a lot of nickels but it’s strange that it happened TWICE.

Unironically believe Chrom x Olivia is the best non robin Chrom relationship, specifically because of what it means with Inigo. He's the only child to have a canonically mentioned emblem, which is in the opposite eye to Lucina, and his flirting as a coping mechanism thing takes on a whole new meaning when he's Crown Prince Of Ylisse. AND his relationship with Lucina/Chrom support wise adds even MORE depth to his character, *especially* when Chrom directly compares him with Lucina. It makes for an INCREDIBLY interesting dynamic. And it all started because Olivia gave Chrom THE lap dance of his life, in battle.

(MAJOR MAJOR SPOILERS FOR @theminecraftbee's SOLVING COUNTING SHEEP FIC, DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE READ LESS THAN CHAPTER 14)
It thinks this handler is stupid
It is incapable of want
He is determined to turn it into
Something it is not
It is
A weapon
Blade-Three
Designed to follow orders
Will comply
Will comply
It is
Expendable
Stolen
Just following orders
When it is reconditioned
All this will go away
Oh, okay
It likes berry chicken
It doesn’t know what it wants
It would like to be a person
They think it can be, but
It is
A Watcher
Prisoner
Designed to follow orders
Will comply
Will comply
It is
Sarcastic
Overwhelmed
Just following orders
When it is reconditioned
All this will go away
And it doesn’t want to forget
It doesn’t want to forget
It doesn’t want to lose this
It doesn’t want to forget
It knows this Pearl lady hates it
It thinks this Mumbo’s a friend
It suspects BigB thinks something’s off
They all think it killed Grian
It knows the Watchers will find it
It knows they’ll make it turn
It doesn’t want to be reconditioned
Why does its heart burn?
It is
A weapon
A Watcher
Blade-Three
Designed to follow orders
Will comply
Will comply
It is
Expendable
Stolen
Just following orders
Will comply
Will comply
It is
A Watcher
Prisoner
Blade-Three
Designed to follow orders
Will comply
Will comply
It is
Stolen
Overwhelmed
Just following orders
It wants to stay broken
It hears someone say “Grian?”
Now nothing is the same
Now they all look at it different
They all think it’s their old friend
They are determined to make it into
Something it is not

doodle for the AU that's been rattling around in my mind- "false canary" astarion.
upon discovering a canary scout in the dungeon, desparate to stop them from taking it down (and therefore inadvertently returning him to cazador), he panicked and killed the canary before taking their clothes- after all, if you're recognized as a member of a reputable (if composed of ex-criminals) organization, people are far more likely to trust you, right?

My main evidence for Crocodile liking Daz back, instead of only seeing him as a valuable asset, is the bit where Crocodile protects him from Mihawk at Marineford.
Daz basically gets one-hit KO'd by Mihawk - it's pretty bad - and we've seen what happens to Crocodile's other agents when they fail him (i.e., he has them killed). But this time Crocodile throws himself between Mihawk and Daz and, at least in the anime, gently teases Daz about sleeping on the job. It's so out of character for Crocodile. Sure a ton of what he does at Marineford is out of character, but that combined with everything else just. Ugh. Makes me want to believe in their love.
