So I've been catching up on SNL and omfg Tate McRae tho. I've known about Tate McRae for a long time and hadn't quite realized that she'd become a major superstar of the musical-guest-on-SNL variety. I know Tate as a contemporary dancer, having seen her on So You Think You Can Dance when she was, like, 12. It was a special season of the show, featuring kids as contestants, paired up with "all stars" from previous seasons to act as their mentors. I thought it would be a cute season—Tate was the oldest, some of the kids were as young as 8, I think. It was much more than a cute season. Definitely one of my fave seasons ever. Those kids were incredible. Sure, there were some moments that were cute, but for the most part it was professional dancers being spectacular who just happened to be 12 and under. Every episode was also inspiring and moving bc clearly it was a life-changing event for the mentors too, who all grew so attached to their students. I cried every episode. Tate was pretty easily the best dancer—she was incredible. She was paired up with Katherine (one of my all-time faves) and they were pure magic together. Here's a clip of Tate from her instagram of her dancing from around that same time. So good. It was clear then that she was a major talent. I just wasn't expecting global sexygirl popstar is all! Her dancing on SNL was HOT. Like, stupid hot. Like, knocked the wind out of me. I do wish there were better-quality pics of her available, but considering the path she's on I'm sure that's coming soon enough. There are quite a few stupid-hot pics of her wearing assorted pieces of Hockey gear, but most of those pics needed to be left alone to speak for themselves. You can find them on her instagram. I chose this pic bc those giant shorts are kinda ridiculous and yet look how hot she is in them, which I think speaks to her overall hotness. I'm a rekindled fan of her new career direction! It's been a long time since I watched it. I did see the alt ending movie where Lelouche faked his death and he and CC pretty much got married, but I haven't watched the series for years.

I did love it. CC is my fave and her story is so complex and sad. I really wanted more of her in every episode and loved all her outfit changes too. When you're growing up with characters wearing the same outfit every episode it was really neat and refreshing seeing characters dressed up different. And CC was such a casual badass! She could pilot the mechs as well as the knights and pretend to be Zero and she was just the best thing in it and I loved her dynamic with Lelouche too. Idk if people argue over canon and idc either because to me he had the most chemistry and mutual affection with her ❤️

omfg these are all my favorite shows! They are all my favorite of the genre they are in. I guess I would say Boy Meets World because there is both a lot and it is consistently good but also they are all pretty consistently good which is why I cHOSE them!

Never Have I Ever? probably Fabiola or Kamala. Fabiola because she's the most like me, queer black woman(gn) in STEM and her drama is way less dramatic then the other characters. Kamala because she's really hot and it's like wife goals/life goals.

- oH i love the parallels between this opening sequence with the sparrows and the same sequence with the umbrellas from s1

Okay so i was rewatching eps 1 and 2 last night and ykw was so sexy?? In episode 2 when steven is fighting the jackal as mr knight then he gives Marc control and Marc’s wearing the suit. And then marc just stares at the jackal without moving and then layla is like GET IT OUT OF HERE and the way marc immediately runs and gets the jackal tf outta there. I binged all 3 season of lone star in a week. here are some of my thoughts.

I liked season 2 the best. the quality, storylines and character developments were so much better. season 3 was good too but it wasn't as exciting. I liked that we got more of tarlos tho.

tk and carlos are so good looking. i love s3 carlos with slightly longer har and glasses! i'm still processing him in those reading glasses! and tk is so pretty how can someone be so pretty?

the characters are genuinely likable. it happens a lot that while the actors are hot their characters are really annoying. i loved almost every character in the show. owen's character and storylines were pretty unexpected but also fun. his relationship w tk was beautiful and i'm glad that towards the end of s3 that they haven't spent much time together. I really did not expect to like judd and grace let alone root for them. but i did! they're definitely my favorite couple on the show.

i liked the catan gang. their friendship seemed genuine and i like that they hung out and played board games and had fun in general (i hate it when staying in is considered boring). i loved how invested they were in each other's lives and supported each other.

i liked most of the storylines. it became a little repetitive in s3 but it was still fun. the one storyline that i didn't like was the Julius one. i didn't like his vibe and i didn't like them together.

i loved gwen. she was so beautiful and her flashback episode after she passed away BROKE me. Carlos' dad also grew on me. i definitely did not expect his alliance w owen so it was well executed.

once again i liked tarlos. at first i didn't feel much beyond them looking cute but as we got to actually see them i loved that they were so expressive of their love even though they were not loud about it. i usually find the jealous storyline kinda cringey but in their case i liked how the cooper episode ended.

sorry for ranting. i just really liked it and can't think of anything else.

6. Gwen’s death’s episode is my favorite. I think it was Ronen’s best work ever. And Lisa was amazing. I loved how raw and ugly that episode was and how it portrayed addiction.

7. Tarlos my beloved. TK proposing to Alex VS Carlos was a beautiful circle and I loved that. And the Cooper episode was great imo. I think it was much needed for Carlos to understand and let go off a little bit of that control.

Now on S2 Ep 2 so tagging spoilers via readmore. But man, I love the Ghost City setting so far. Not just because of that gorgeous visual direction and all the crowd scenes, but because it really feels surprisingly lively for a literal ghost town (yet also is rather sleazy). Anyway, I need an artbook consisting of nothing but relevant visual development work for this arc omfg.

Oh, right, there's a story too. Anyways, spoilers below.

It's pretty interesting that our ghost lore is establishing them as jealous (in many but not all cases). We kicked off the first arc with a ghost who goes after the smiling brides, given her own lack of happiness. And now we spent an entire episode in a gambling hall where things of value to the spirit are their bets. An artist's hand, a thief's leg, and years from the life of one's daughter were some of the wagers I heard? And it seems that it has a wish-granting function, given that the last guy was willing to sacrifice his daughter for taking out his business competition?

It all felt rather fae-like to me. Which I suppose makes Hua Cheng's rigging of the game for a half-finished bun from Xie Lian more notable, as it at first sounded rather worthless. Hell, on its face, it's almost like an insult to our fave dumb martial god that decided to crash the evening. Kind of like a reminder that his life isn't particularly valuable down below.

But we did just spend an entire season on these two characters sticking with each other through thick and thin. And the first time they talked involved splitting a very similar-looking bun, so I suppose the one in this scene actually would fit the "must have value" criteria if we consider the emotional attachment involved. It's just that I thought the wager must have value to the gambler, not the other side lol.

So, in short, there's ye olde cheating and then there's the bald-faced rigging that went down here. Also, are we now on a misunderstanding arc? That goodbye sure sent some mixed signals.
